VI for DAQ with HBM Spider 8

Does maby someone have the VI for DAQ in LabWIEV 7.1 with HBM Spider 8 based on the NI drivers? I will be very glad if someone could send me the VI on my e-mail. It will be very helpful for me in the creation of my own VI because I am beginer...

You can find Spider 8 VI's on the HBM website but, once installed I get an error
I used LV 8.5, I think you will have the same problem with 7.1
If you can "upgrade" them from that early LV version I'm also interested
Why not using Catman Easy from HBM ??

continuously dealed by 50 channels,and the VX4244 need about 30Hz for all 16

64XE-10 is easily detected by NI software, and I can use LabView Daq
intermediate analog input VIs to acquire data in background, read 50 samples
and compute the mean for each channel,then packa
ge the 50 mean and send to
client end with 40 times a second. I found the speed is satisfactory.
As for VX4244 and VX4101,I can't use LabView Daq VIs,and the driving
functions for LabView with the product are difficult to understand, I want
to know how I can get data and send out efficiently,how to get data in
background,and how to use FDC ?
And for 64XE-10, although the speed is satisfactory, but it use much more
CPU resource, I want to use advanced analog input VIs to build the code,I
want to know where I can find examples using the advanced analog input VIs ?

What is the best achitechture for DAQ?

Hi all,
I'm using lv 8.5 winXP, and I'm trying to control a custom-made camera by DAQ card. Attached is a state of the top level state machine, which is the core of my program. On the top part there is DAQ funciton, containing synchronized AI and DO tasks. In the middle there is logging function, and the bottom part is displaying function (convert the raw data to visible images). And I used a queue and a notifier totransfer the data. I think that's the typical achitechture for DAQ.But as the program grows, I found it is hard to handle. I wanna develop an achitechture like queued state machine for this program. And I may need to add some data analysis function and return the result to DAQ as feedback (close-loop control).
Is it a good idea to put DAQ in a state machine? Did some one do that or could you give me any example?
At this moment, all I can do is to split the whole program into 'states'. and I want to create subvi for each state (to make code clearer). I found it weird putting queue and while loop in a subvi. Any suggestion?

Most of the previous replies are focus on the low level, so here is a top level reply.
MVAS - is the top level app and loads the other components. When acq time comes it loads and starts the acq process (Collect).
Collect - Starts up the logging process (Logger) then the acq code (Collector) then sits back and keep the GUI updated with data coming from the "Collector".
Logger - Start by creating a queue through which it will recieve updates and then watches for updates and commands to start/stop logging.
Collector - Acepts queue refs from "Collect" to tell it who should be updated and respondse to commands.
I prefer to send commnads to explicitly tell loops to shut down (rather use an error to signal this) and I let the reciever of queue data to kiil the queue.
I hope this gives you another way of looking at your code.

I've got a problem using Ni-DAQ with Borland C++ 5.01 (i know this section is for visual C++ but I couldm't find any for ANSI C++). If I write a simple program with one of the libraries included in nidaq.h and if i specify the correct lib and include locations I have a problem with the linkink process; in particular it says that the function can be resolved...
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanx

I haven't used Borland much, but with Visual C++ the problem normally
happens because the lib and include paths are not added to the
project. For Visual C++ they are stored at
Tools->Options->Directories. If the library files (*.lib) are not
added to the project you can get this error as well.

Controlling launch pad equipment via PXI/LabVIEW
Commanding and monitoring our Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 rockets via a LabVIEW-based Vehicle control system

With the exception of the launch pad equipment program, most of our LabVIEW programs do not interact with DAQ hardware (unusual, I know). The Vehicle control and Mission Operations software get their data via Ethernet from 'black boxes' that connect to NASA & Commercial RF ground stations. We also create several utility programs in LabVIEW that also don't interact with hardware. So, this is mostly a software gig, not a hardware/software gig.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualities:
CLD-level LabVIEW experience
A good understanding of basic computer networking (TCP/IP, UPD, firewalls, VPN)
Must be enthusiastic about space (What year did we land on the moon? How many men walked on the moon? How many Space Shuttles do we currently have? etc.)
Must be willing to travel. Common destinations include Houston (NASA Johnson Space Center), McGregor TX (test site), Cape Canaveral FL (launch site), Kwajalein Marshall Islands (launch site)
Must be able to work without supervision. We have a very flat management structure, no one will be telling you what you need to do. If you don’t know, ask. If you do know, get it done.

I have been using LabView 5.0 for a few years to program, control
& retrieve information from the GPIB bus. I want to get into DAQ
programming. Where I work, we do not have much in the way of DAQ
hardware, so I am going to attempt to purchase what I need to play at
home in my spare time.

** Signal conditioning hardware that will work with the PCI-MIO series

inexpensive way to easily connect you're DAQ board to you're breadboard. I

Hello.
In DAQmx Readme, you can see which version of CVI are supported by the actuel DAQmx version. For a 6501 card, 8.7.2 or 8.9.5 DAQmx versions will work.

to make sure you know how to do this.
In the material document list, hit "Ctrl+F8" on your keyboard.
A window will pop up. Click on the button position and look for "order" in the list of available fields. That should do it.

Configure Exchange to filter the attachments if the size is over 10 MB and store it in a public folder, and then forward the email to Salesforce.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that it can't be achieved. Exchange can filter messages with attachments, but it couldn't store these attachments on public folder automatically. Also, I don't see any transport rule can do it.

Problem - SFDC does not create cases from emails that have more than 10 MB of attachments. Our clients will not go-live if their clients cannot send in emails with attachments over 10 MBs
Potential resolution - Configure MS exchange to strip off the attachments(if over 10 MB) and store it in a public folder, forward the email to Salesforce (so the case gets created or the email
is associated to an existing case), the client should have some way to know if the attachments were stripped off and should be able to dlownload the attachments and continue with case resolution.

What country are you in ? Depending upon what country that you are in then you might be able to redownload them on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the iTunes store homepage
If you're not in a country where TV programmes can be redownloaded then connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and use the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over from your iPad

The missing link : the MacBook Pro needs to be powered... as in you need to plug the charger in...
In conclusion, you simply plug everything, turn on the MacBook Pro, close the lid, and there you go !

Restriction of GR & IR for PO with specific document type

How we can restrict doing Goods Receipt & Invoice Receipt for a Purchase order, instead they do the payment directly for the Purchase order item in FI. We need to restrict GR & IR for PO with particular document type.

Yes i do feel the same. Normally if a PO is created means system expects a GR and and IR .If you do not expect the ir means it is a free entry.
But however you can control the GR / IR through account assignment .please check the account assignment definition at SPROMMPUR-Account assignment-AAcategory.
Once the PO is created with account assignment the procurement is for consumption (non stock)
if it is a stocked procurement system will check the GR/IR indicator in the PO.
When a PO is created in MM module and the cycle is not completed , it will always show as open PO.I think the context for FI direct posting will be differrant.
