Video: Can photoshop timeline be exported to Premiere or After Effects?

I love the video ability. Other than just rendering out, can the timeline be exported in an editable way to Premiere or After Effects for further work?
If not, it would be a very useful feature.

There are lots of different tips to create timelapse with difficult footage, but my images have always just been pretty smooth. Do not frame blend or try to get fancy. The goal for me is just to make sure that when I shoot, I don't try to change the exposure. Set it yourself, do not use auto. When I shoot sunsets, I start overexposed and end up way underexposed. But it works better than trying to adjust in the middle.
I shoot with a Panasonic GH3 which shoot s much larger image than 1920X1080. That allows me to pan around the image, making it look like I used a slider or zoom lens.
For example, this was show with about 170 images. An image taken every 5 seconds and played back at 24fps.
The original frame looked like this:

1)Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and look for file named hosts inside etc folder.
2)Copy the hosts file to Desktop and open the same with notepad.
Check with the hosts file entries , let me know if there are any Adobe entries like 127.0.01 xxx.,adobe.com .activate.adobe.com....etc?
If there are no Adobe entries in Hosts file .
If you wish , you may uinstall and reinstall the app .
You may try below steps :
Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
Under Program and Features list, locate Adobe Creative Cloud and uninstall it.
End all Adobe related Tasks from Task Manager.
    Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
    Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud setup file and use the same to install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • Can't import and export  MPEG2 files in After Effects and Premiere Pro.

I don't know when started, but a few days ago my Premiere Pro and After Effects don't recognise MPEG2 files.
When I try to open a Premiere Pro with a MPEG2 file in it: "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec be associated with this sequence types"

Just to verify that the files are not corrupt...
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen
shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing

    For PC http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en or http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
    For Mac http://mediainspector.massanti.com/
Also... does your PPro show the option to de-activate? (having the de-activate option available means your version has not "lost" activation)

  • Both CS6: Trouble exporting to Premiere from After Effects?

Hello. I'd like to start off by saying that I am new to the community and new to using this software, so please pardon if I come off as ignorant. However, I need help urgently.
I am trying to export an After Effects project into Adobe Premiere (using File -> Export -> Adobe Premiere Pro Project). I am coming up with the following error message when I try to open it using Premiere:
"This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type".
I would think that my Premiere preferences would be irrelevant as I cannot even access them unless I have a project opened. However, here are my project settings for After Effects:
    Time Display Style:TimecodeUse Media Source
    Color Settings:
    Depth: 8 bits per channel
Working Space: none  (could this potentially be the issue?)
    Audio Settings:Sample Rate: 48.000 kHz
All of the video files used are .mp4.
I will be willing to rapidly provide more information if necessary. Thanks in advance for helping out.

    Don't export!
Open your Premiere Pro project, go to File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Import After Effects Compositon. Then navigate to the aep file, select the compositon and it will import the AE link into your pronect bin. Then you can change the file in AE and when you save, the changes will show in PPro. There seems to be a bug with the dynamiclink.exe server that won't show the compositon as rendered on the timeline. I'm hoping Adobe will fix it soon as I've reported it on the bug site.

  • AVCHD Export in premiere or After Effects

    Hello.
I have downloaded trial of the Premiere Pro, and I have one important for me question.
I can not find an AVCHD export option. So.. Is theer a way to export my timeline to
AVCHD (mts, or m2ts) file? Or to mkv?

    > DVD and BR do not support AVCHD or Matroska formats for the simple reason it is not in the specs.
DVD do not support. But BR certainly support. Both the AVCHD, and Matroska. See over here:
    http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/tv-av/blu-ray/blu-ray-disc-players/BD-C5500/XSH/inde x.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification
And there is new disk format - AVCHD DVD - for recording AVCHD movies on DVD disks.
Hmm.. Now I'm shure, that Adobe product is not for me. Thank You. I thik, I will choose Avid Studio. It has wanted by me functions.
It is strange. Adobe doesn't know new technologies in the market? I think, any other software products has AVCHD export. Only Adobe has not.
I think, Adobe will loose he battle.

  • FR: Complete integration of Premiere and After Effects

No more Dynamic Link, all functions of both applications
    available within a single interface.
    Thoughts?
I might subscribe for this one.

    I agree 100%.
With proper memory management techniques, I should be able to open the cloud applications the way I open Chrome. When I open Chrome on my desktop, I get a home page with the news I want, a tab for these forums, a tab for Google Maps (which I use a LOT), a tab for YouTube and a couple of others.
When I start up the "Creative Cloud" why can't I have tabs for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Speedgrade, Photoshop & Audition? And I should be able to add or delete any other application from the suite that I want. Like InDesign (now that I finally have a reason to use it to make Premiere Pro titles) or Illustrator. Or Flash. Or whatever.
If I select an After Effects comp on the Premiere Pro sequence and click on the After Effects tab, I should see the comp I had selected. If I select an audio file on the Premiere Pro sequence and click over to Audition, the software should assume I meant "Edit in Audition" and do the same thing.
The tabs across the top should probably disappear unless the cursor goes up into that area, to avoid waste of screen real estate.
Each application should run standalone, or it could run as a piece of the puzzle. Either way.
Why in the world should I have to even save a PSD and then import it into Premiere Pro. If I change from Photoshop to Premiere Pro, a message should come up asking me if I want to import it into Premiere Pro, and give me the option of making this the default action so that it only ever asks me that question once.
    Think big, Adobe.
    Exactly!
Treat a suite of products as an integrated suite!

  • Can't download Adobe Premiere and After Effects

I just bought a 1 year deal for the Creative Cloud. As far as I understand, all the software from Adobe would be available in the Creative Cloud. But when I try to downlad for instance Adobe premiere, this program don't show up in the Adobe Application Manager. What is wrong? The "onlye programs that shows up is Photoshop, InDesign, Flash Pro, Illustrator, Fireworks, Muse, Dreamweaver, Audition, Prelude, Lightromm, Flash Builder, Edge Acrobat X and Touch App Plugins. Anyone knowing what might be wrong?

Win7 pro and, unfortunately, 32 bit... Guess I should consider an investment then...
    Thanks for the info.
    Kind regards,

  • Why can't I download Premiere and After Effects CC on my laptop?

Why can't I download Premiere and After Effects CC on my laptop? I don't have the option for the Creative Cloud apllication on my menu bar as well. It launches Adobe Download Manager instead. Software like Photoshop and Illustrator CC are working fine?
    Thanks!

If it doesn't show up your system doesn't support it. It's as easy as that. Refer to the system requirements for the applications.

  • Hi,I have a CC Photoshop membership that I pay $9.99/month for. I'd like to upgrade to include Premiere and After Effects

Hi, I have a CC Photoshop membership that I pay $9.99/month for. I'd like to upgrade to include Premiere and After Effects in my membership, but the only option it gives me is to purchase the full creative cloud membership (which I am happy to do) and pay a one-time payment of $600 or so (which I can't afford). Is there any way I can pay this in the same way I've been paying for my CC Photoshop membership - month-by-month? Thanks!

    Hi Matt
I've processed the switch.  Please sign out from the CC desktop app and sign in again to activate the new plan - Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app
You will be charged A$49.99 today for the new plan and receive a refund for A$8.06 for the unused days on the original plan.  You will then be billed on the 3rd of each month going forward.
Please let me know if you have further questions and thanks for upgrading today!
    Regards
    Bev

  • Premiere Pro/After Effects -learning proper workflow?

I'm just beginning with video editing in Premiere Pro/After effects. I have used more basic apps such as iMovie and GoPro Studio. I understand the principles of post production for still images as I am a veteran photo retoucher. But as I want to produce videos with more professional productions values, my plan is to learn these Adobe apps from the ground up -and properly.
    2 questions:
1 - Is it correct to assume that most video/audio editing will be performed in Premiere Pro with After Effects used primarily for special affects & enhancements beyond the scope of Premiere Pro? It seems that many features are "Shared", so I want to direct my training efforts in the most appropriate directions.
2 - Would Lynda.com be the best resource for training? I see that some of their offerings are not always for the most current versions of some apps.
There seems to be a jumbled assortment of basic training videos from Adobe. Some are intros from Lynda.com while others are from Adobe and go back to CS6.
Note to Adobe: I would like to see more complete & integrated ADOBE training materials offered for the various CC apps, which would be updated in reasonable relation to newer versions of the various CC apps. I would be willing to pay for quality training materials created by working industry pros.

premiere pro to edit. they have added some audio features to premiere, but if you do need more advanced audio editing, you can use adobe audition.  the same can be said of premiere and after effects. they seem to keep slowly adding AE features into premiere pro, but when you need to take it beyond the basics, you then need AE.  i would say AE is for visual effects, composting, advanced motion graphics & titling, and fixing video problems with a clip when you cannot in premiere. AE has some tools like the clone tool (photoshop) and rotoscope that premiere doesn't. while you can do some of the same thru different methods in premiere, its just more advanced in AE.
2 - Would Lynda.com be the best resource for training?
most of the information on lynda can be found thru others tutorials on youtube and adobe, and blog type websites etc.  however, you could spend a month digging thru the random and unorganized, repetitive information on the web, or just watch a series geared specifically towards the subject you want to learn.  time vs money. i have watched some lynda videos and the essentials courses for adobe products are very well done imo.

  • Dynamic Link for Premiere and After Effects CS4 with Titles

I've created a Rolling Title in Premiere Pro CS4.  I'd like to create a Dynamic Link to bring the title into After Effects CS4 to add effects that will show up in Premiere.  I've watched a few video tutorials on Dynamic Link and read the documentation and tried a variety of permutations but can't seem to get this done.
Also saw something in these forums about problems using Dynamic Link with Titles (as opposed to regular clip??)
And something about Premiere and After Effects projects being saved together ??in same folder - is that correct?
So, could someone explain if this can be done and the right way to do it?
    Thanks

Thanks Mylenium - appreciate the quick and focused reply.
I would like to keep the benefits of the Premiere Pro Titler (to play with the length of time by stretching or squashing the Title block on the timeline; to type in time to stay on screen at end; ease in and out etc . . .).  If I do render out a png / tiff / or psd sequence with alpha, and bring that into AFX to play with.  Will I still retain the ability to use the Titler features in Premire Pro, or do I essentially have to convert it to 'regular footage' on reimport as opposed to a 'Title?"
    Thanks

  • Integration of other Adobe products..Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Encore DVD

Prior to obtaining CS2 I have been working with the other video/audio Adobe tools; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Encore DVD.
I fully expected to see integration of these products into the Bridge application after CS2 installation. I was disappointed, there does not appear to be any such integration. I do hope that this is in plan, and that I don't have to spend an "upgrade" fee to use integration that should have been there to begin with.
Even if there is no further integration, it would be nice to be able to continue using the Bridge as my "file manager" in the event I have to transfer my CS2 activation to another computer; after all I still have 4 licensed Adobe products installed on the machine, even if there not, quote, CS2 applications.

I can't use Bridge with my video products anymore. I have 3 systems in my personal development environment. I am now past the 30 day period before activation of CS2 is required on my video editing machine. Now I am no longer able to use Adobe Bridge with my other Adobe (video) products.
Also, now I've noticed that the next level of video products is available, they now have Bridge integrated. As I anticipated in my first append, I cannot continue using Bridge with my Adobe video products unless I spend more money for an upgrade. If the intention is to have Bridge become an integral tool in the creative process, this policy is short sighted. It can't be that difficult to bring out an update for the CS2 level of bridge that would enable it to work with users that have AE 6.5 or PPro 1.5 installed.

  • Camera raw in Premiere or After Effects. .... ??

I would need to know if there is a plug in for the use camera raw  (Photoshop) in Premiere or After Effects. .... The camera raw is great for the video... would be wonderful to have him as filter in Pr or AE. It will be in anticipation?

So far ... not expecting the Photoshop (or Lightroom) iteration of Camera Raw. The comments from staffers are that's a high-use UI for stills shots ... running it for say 30 shots per second times 20 minutes ... you'd need a computer farm to run it in real time. Some of the ... bits & pieces? ... of the interface, might be workable.
I've had a nearly 40 year career as a professional portrait photographer, along with the missus. We've made our living at it, with the odd gazillion hours in Lightroom over the last decade (and some in Photoshop, more for her than me) as we did in the darkroom/color-lab we also had for 20 years before that. My "editing suite" is in what was our b/w darkroom, and second-enlarger station for color printing. The darkroom gear ... sink, enlarger & table ... are still in here. So I've a lot of experience in stills, and yes the Lr/Photoshop ACR things.
When I first came to video a couple years back, I wanted Lr or at LEAST ACR for coloring work. Didn't find the tools in PrPro "intuitive" so tried AfterEffects ... which was somewhat better, the Colorista plugin. However, I did read the Hullfish & Fowler book on color video correction & tools, learned how the pro video tools are set up the way they are & how to work them ... in quite a few different programs. Read the vanHurkman book on SpeedGrade ... and started working with that. It has become my all-time fav program to just sit and play/work in, way too entrancing for me. I'd been asking for at LEAST some curves tools ... and by the time "we" got them in Sg, well ... I'm so used to and preferring the "regular" colorist tools I've only played with the curves a couple times. I've got so many other subtle to hammer options available that I've learned to use that curves seems ... well ... a bit rough.
And in the CC world, the workflow from PrPro to Sg takes a few seconds, and back to PrPro the same. I've not been in Ae for quite a spell except for such things as de-noising or a couple animated title things I did I've already forgotten how to do. PrPro & the Direct Link to/from Sg.

  • Premiere Pro/After Effects CC on Mac OSX crashes when moving media

I have Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC, in both programs whenever I attempt to move any media (any format) to the timeline from the media browser window Premiere (and After Effects) crashes immediately.
I'm using a MacBook Pro w/ retina, running latest OS, and I have the Microsoft Office suite of apps installed.
Customer service had a go fixing it but to no avail, apparently it has something to do with fonts if that helps anyone, i've reverted all the fonts on my Mac back to the default but still nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Matt,
    Try the following:
Sign out from Creative Cloud, restart Premiere Pro, then sign in
    Update any GPU drivers
    Trash preferences
Ensure Adobe folder preferences are set to read/write in all 3 locations.
    Delete media cache
    Remove plug-ins
If you have AMD GPUs, make sure CUDA is not installed
    Repair permissions
In Sequence Settings > Video Previews, change the codec to one that matches your footage
    Disconnect any third party hardware
If you have a CUDA GPU, ensure that the Mercury Playback Engine is set to CUDA, not OpenCL
    Disable App Nap
    Reboot
Report back if anything here worked for you.
    Thanks,
    Kevin
