Video playlists in the new music app on the iPad 2 are empty
Video playlists in the new music app are empty, they use to play on the iPod app before the os5 upgrade. The videos playlistists show up in iTunes under the iPad app when connected to my pc, but not when disconnected. Is there a way to fix this? Very frustrating.
You'll probably find your Video Podcast in the Videos App.

I did try a safe boot once before, which didn't stop the occurrences. I can try it again to make sure, and see if the problem stops happening.
Never installed extra audio or plug-ins, though.
It happened just once not long after I bought the mid-2013 MBA, which I think came with 10.8.4, but I assumed the noise was because I was moving the computer around on a surface that created static, since the noise stopped after I picked it up off the surface. However, that must have just been a coincidence, because it happens more frequently now without moving or touching anything.
Trying the safe-mode boot and restart, and testing it out for day or so to see if it happens again. -
How can I view music video that I purchased on my Music App on my iPad?? I can view video in question on my iPhone!! On my iPad it simply plays the song when selected.

No lyrics in the new music app?
Very disappointed, the new music app in iOS5 hide my songs lyrics...that was one of my favorite features in the old iPod app! And now no multitouch gestures for iPad 1 user...I am very sad and disappointed.
Somebody know about a good music player app with the lyrics feature?Well, at least they added multitasking gestures to the original iPad today (iOS 5.0.1). Fingers crossed they'll upgrade the Music App in the near future.

Oveer the years I have carefully organized my iTunes albums, songs and playlists the way I want them. And they are organized that way on my iMac. But in the Music app on my iPad some albums have been combined into one and others have their artwork missing. What's going on? How can I fix it?
I have now updated to the new iOS 6.1, but still this problem persists! How is it even possible to be able to play the songs in iTunes, on my PC, and on the specified iPad, using for example the Bongioivi app, but NOT when I use Apple's built in Music app?
So before the 5.1 upgrade, the songs were playing all right. But AFTER this upgrade, and still after the 6.1, they won't play??? -
I've always used the "genre" category to quickly find music. The old iPod app would sort by artist within the genre category. There doesn't seem to be any logic to how the music is listed within the category with the new music app. I can't believe they didn't build a feature that would allow the user to resort in whatever order they wanted.

There is a new feature in iOS 7 that shows you all your purchases made with your Apple ID. To disable this feature go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. This information can be found on the user guide below.

Enhanced podcasts not working in iOS 5; new music app keeps crashing
I just updated to iOS5 and regularly view enhanced podcasts. after the update, I can no longer figure out how to view the enhanced version anymore. I get the sound, but the image does not change. Can anybody please help?
on top of this the new music app in iOS5 keeps crashing and I have to restart the iPad all the time.Having the same issue except for the crashes. Everything seems to be working, just not the way it used to. The enhanced podcasts were great, the ones that I subscribed to changed the backgrounds often and linked to other sites and gave some great info. Now... Nothing!
I have been reading that everyone is having issues with podcasts and the button to get new episodes, or whatever it was called, and this may just be another glitch. I sure wish they could fix it. I listen to podcasts more that I ever listened to music. -

Music plays in the Music app - not iTunes. Videos play in the Videos App - not in the Music App. Is that what you are doing? If you are using the correct apps for the appropriate content - quit the apps and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
Ok, I have deleted EVERYTHING off my 16gb ipad. Photos, music, apps. All I have are the standard apps. It says I have used 11gb and only have 1.6 left. When I first bought it I had up to 4 movies and lots of apps, no problems. What's going on please!?

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.2 I can't see the radio button in the music app on my iPad
The radio button does not show anymore in my music app on my iPad after I upgraded to IOS 7.0.2 - it did show briefly the first time I started the app after upgrading but immediately disappeared and is now gone for good. Don't have the issue with my iPhone at all. There it still shows - I tried to restore my iPad and again, opening the music app I was able to see the radio button for 5 seconds and than it disappeared. Any suggestion ?
Following ultimately helped me : Make sure that you are logged in at the App Store App or iTunes App with your apple ID and password with a US account. Turn your iPad off and on and than you should see the Radio button again. It won't work if you are logged on with a foreign account. If you are not logged in at all, it worked, too.

I tap the music app on my ipad 2, and it states that I have no music. I am signed into icloud and have a working wifi. I have music match through my itunes and none of my music is showing up.
I would like to listen to my itunes library that I have on my home computer.I backed everything up and restored my ipad.
It took a while, but the music app and the cloud are now working.
I just wish I didn't have to go to that extreme. Glad the problem is solved.

Try:
Reset the iOS device (no data will be lost). Press and hold the Home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears. See if the problem persists after the device reboots (it might take a while).
Download any free app, and then see if any of the other apps, after being re-downloaded, will open.

On your phone, go to settings> App Store and iTunes> Turn on Automatic downloads for Music. This should cause music purchases made on other devices to be downloaded automatically to phone.
