View email in HTML?

My email setting is Plain Text, is there a way to change this to HTML? When I went to the settings menu, it seems greyed out therefore I didn't have any options.

Typical Verizon Support non-answer.... the question is how to view html formatted e-mail in the ActiveSync e-mail client on the Incredible. The answer is, it can't. Current ActiveSync client only supports plain text. Hopefully will be solved in 2.2 update (or trade the Incredible in for a Droid-x). Html Exchange/ActiveSync mail works great on our Droid-x's as well as GSM6.10 wav files, which our voice-mail system uses. Not so much on the Incredibles.

• How can I view emails in HTML format or at least o...

Dear Nokia,
I've recently purchased the Nokia e90 to use for email using Vodafone push email (push.vodafone.nl) however the emails are in plain text format and not even the links are accessible.
I have the folowing questions:
1) is it possible to view pushed emails in HTML format
2) is it possible to load links from emails in the browser
3) is it possible to select a piece of text from an email to copy and paste it in the browser (form field)
Best Regards,

Well, that doesn't work for me as it reads from pop or imap.
I want to be able to use the push email service of my provider for which I pay a monthly fee. It will make emails come in like SMS.
At least the links should be openable somehow. I receive admin emails and need to select a link to perform an admin task. I actually was hoping that the communicator was going to make it more easy for me. My HTC X7500 broke down and aldough it worked very well for internet browsing, I could only use gmail via the internet browser as outlouk wasn't working very well for me. While the x7500 is being fixed I decided to purchase the e90 for email (communication) purposes but now it seems the email functionality is limited to sms a like without the 160 charlimit.
Is it not possible at all to open links in incomming emails within the nokia messenger?
And what about copying text from an email (into the browser)
Thanks in advance for your help and tips.

• Unable to receive email in HTML format on BB Torch 9860 with BIS

I recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
Appreciate if anyone could help me with this.

• I can not view attachments in html email

I am currently having a problem with Outlook 2011, basically when I send emails from windows, when I receive an email in HTML I can not see any attachments if you receive in plain text if I can see them. Someone had this problem before?

• Possible to embed pdf into email (as HTML, not pdf)?

Hi I have a client who doesn't want to email pdfs to all their subscribers. They're finding people won't open the pdf or their security systems hold the email up.
Is it possible to save the pdf out as some sort of file that can be embedded into an email and viewed when they open up the email. HTML? I tried doing a "save as", but this didn't work for me. Or course, I could be doing something wrong. I saved the file out and looked at it. Looked fine, but trying to attach it into an email didn't work.
I should mention I'm currently using version 6 pro with the upgrade (v9) on its' way. Mac G5, OS10.5.5.
Thanks. Sandra

To send an html email, you must first build a web page (with the contents you need) then send that.
Keep in mind that a lot of people have disabled the option to get the html so they will see garbage.

• Files created in DW with slices, how can I email the html files to someone

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me please? I created my first website in DW CS4. I used Illustrator to create it, added slices, then did the rest in DW. My site is not live yet - I have not yet uploaded the files to the web host. However, I need to email the .html file to someone so that they can see what I have created so far for the site. But when I attach the .html files, the person I send them to cannot view them - when they open the file it is just a bunch of placeholders where the slices are and you can't see the web page at all. I am a newbie to web design so this is probably quite an ignoramus question. I appreciate any help anyone can give me!!

The best practice is to upload the site to a TEST folder on your remote server for debugging purposes. (yourdomain.com/TEST/index.html)
Then send your client an email with the URL so they can see the site. When you're done testing & debugging, remove the TEST folder from remote server.

• After upgrading to ios6 my iphone will not open .xls files in emails with the default viewer. Is there a fix for this? The same emailed .xls files still open on my ipad using ios5 while viewing email like they did on my iphone prior to upgrading.

After upgrading to ios6 my iphone will not open .xls files in emails with the default viewer. Is there a fix for this? The same emailed .xls files still open on my ipad using ios5 while viewing email like they did on my iphone prior to upgrading. I have no special software like numbers or anything else installed on either device. Just using the default viewer provided by apple for viewing email.

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
Is there anyone out there that is viewing .xls files in email using ios6 w/o any other software installed like numbers or any other add ons? I am not upgrading my ipad from ios5 to ios6 so I can still continue to view the emails on my ipad. Is there an email viewer .xls plug-in that will be availablle in the next ios6 update?

• Please help to send an email with html page in body

I need an html page on the body of an email to send an email blast to our customers.

HTML Emails can be a bit tricky. You can design them in Dreamweaver, but you really shouldn't send mass email through your personal email account (or your company account). That could get you blacklisted by corporate spam filters and make your email addresses pretty much useless.
For mass email campaigns (over a few hundred email addresses) I use http://www.icontact.com.
You can build the email right through their site (without DW) or you can import your html from DW to their service.
Some things to keep in mind with HTML email...
1. Use absolute links to images and files on a server you control
2. Use a limited amount of inline css (no external or embedded css)
3. Use table based layouts, css support is spotty at best with email clients
4. The
will be stripped from a number of email clients, don't rely on anything between the
tags making it to your recipients
5. Don't use an image-only email. HTML text is very important to keep it from being labeled spam, make the images secondary to the message, many email clients will not download images without the user's say-so
6. Include an opt-out link so people can get off your list
There are more things to watch out for, but those are the big ones. Here is some more good info: http://alt-web.com/Articles/HTML-Emails.shtml

• Email with HTML code

I have a problem with generating HTML based email.
BPEL code example:
<copy>
<from expression="'%lt;HTML%gt;%lt;BODY%gt;%lt;B%gt;Hello World! %lt;/B%gt;%lt;/BODY%gt;%lt;/HTML%gt;'"/>
<to variable="mailRequestOne" part="payload" query="/mail:mailMessage/mail:content/mail:multiPart/mail:bodyPart[1]/mail:content"/>
</copy>
It would send email:
%lt;HTML%gt;%lt;BODY%gt;%lt;B%gt;Hello World!%lt;/B%gt;%lt;/BODY%gt;%lt;/HTML%gt;
Any idea how to send an email with HTML code?
ps: replace % by &

Not sure what you expect. Your URL is absolute and pointing to a local file resource. It's not a proper relative HTML link. Beyond that it's toatlly unclear how you actually plan to load your image and where they are hosted, so nobody can tell you anything. Either way, there is an obviously painful lack of understanding of even the most basic web techniques, so the best advise anyone would give you is to spend some time with a web search and actualyl learn some of that stuff...

• From:, To: and Subject: end up in email body - html email using sendmail

To the experts and the experienced:
I am trying to send email in html format from a Korn shell script on Solaris 10. The
email does get delivered and is displayed html-formatted, except that the From:, To: and
Subject: lines are displayed in the email body, rather than in the email header. I
would appreciate it very much if experts and the experienced could shed some light.
I use this command line to send the email:
sendmail -t [email protected] < testmail
The content of the testmail file is as follows:
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="frontier"
--frontier
Content-Type: text/plain
From: [email protected]
To: [email protected]
Subject: test html email
This is a plain-text email.
Newman
--frontier
Content-Type: text/html
From: [email protected]<br/>
To: [email protected]<br/>
Subject: test html email<br/>
<h3 align="center">This is a html email</h3>
<p>This is the paragraph.</p>
<p>Newman</p>
frontier\
The email received in Microsoft Outlook (html-formatted), looks like this:
From:         [email protected]
To:
Subject:
From: [email protected]
To: [email protected]
Subject: test html email

This is a html email

This is the paragraph.

Newman
Two things in the email need fixing:
1. All the From:, To: and Subject: lines are treated as part of the email body and are
displayed in the email body, rather than in the header as I wanted them to.
2. The From: line in the email header is the actual sender, not the Bursar.Office as I
put in the testmail file. This can be easily done when using SMTP (telnet to port 25)
or mailx.
How do I tell sendmail/the email client to display in the intended places the From:,
To: and Subject: information that I specified in the testmail file?
Many thanks!
Newman

I searched in google and found a solution:
mailx -r [email protected] -s "test html email
content-type: text/html" john.doe < testmail
The testmail file is a pure html file with one

element. The content embedded in this element is the body of the email, with all the usual tags you would like to use:
, , <h3>, <p>, <ul>, etc.
The trick is piggy-backing a content-type with the subject. It seems to me this it to get the content-type into the email header rather than into the body. And that was exactly the problem I had.
The command lines was executed on Solaris 10. It works.
Hope this could be useful to someone who would encounter the same problem.

I was trying to do the same thing...I found this on the java.sun.com website somewhere. Hope it works out for you.

String host = "";
String from = "";
String to = "";
String fileAttachment = fileName;

message.addRecipient(
Message.RecipientType.TO,
new InternetAddress(to));
message.setSubject("");

messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(
new DataHandler(source));
messageBodyPart.setFileName(fileAttachment);
multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
// Put parts in message
message.setContent(multipart);
// Send the message
Transport.send( message );
}catch (Exception e){

System.err.println(e);
