View in Roadmap

Hey Guys,
I have a question concerning the Entry view when you use Transaction Code RMAUTH.
I can see my self created Roadmap, but what I try to do is, upload a document (anyhow) which will be shown on the right side directly.
There are two folders (Documents and Documentatributes). But with both I could not upload an existing document which will be shown directly. I will do that for any node or subnode on the left side.
Always when I try to creat or assign one I got the message (Enhancement/KWCUST/(Release610) does not exist.
I hope I have clearly descriped what I need.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
You are trying to upload docs in the SAP namespace which is not permitted in that system

• Roadmap UI - How to create a simple roadmap?

Hi,
I wonder to know the most simple explanation to create an application that uses a Roadmap UI.
For example, a Roadmap with 2 steps, and when I click a button in the first step, go to the second step, using BAPI's to validate each step.
Anybody give me a detailed steps to create it?
thanks a lot in advance,
regards,

Hi
1) Create a view and add Road map UI with two step(say step1 and step2).
2) Create two context for step1, step2 of local dictionary type RoadMapStepDesign and bind the context to UI step (design property)
3) in wdDoModifView() method write
if (firstTime)
IWDRoadMap myRoadMap = (IWDRoadMap) view.getElement("RoadMap");
myRoadMap.mappingOfOnSelect().addSourceMapping("step","step" );
6) Create an action with parameter step of type java.lang.String and bind to Roadmap Event onSelect. In this action you can write your comparision code like
if(step.equals("Step1"))
// set visible property to the UI related to step1
// wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Step1(WDRoadMapStepDesign.SELECTED);
// wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Step2(WDRoadMapStepDesign.STANDARD);
elseif(step.equals("Step2"))
// set visible property to the UI related to step2
// wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Step2(WDRoadMapStepDesign.SELECTED);
// wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Step1(WDRoadMapStepDesign.STANDARD);

• Solution Manager 4.0_Roadmap authorization

Dear friends,
I am defining roadmap in t.code RMDEF & RMAUTH (in Sol Man 4.0). After creating a roadmap in RMDEF, i am giving authorization for my user defined roadmap in t.code RMAUTH. Then if i enter into work area maintenance (Graphical view of roadmap) of my roadmap, i wants to drilldown the activities under the phase of Business Blueprint.
While doing so, i am getting following message:
" The substructure is not possible:Expand is not possible" .
Even though i have maintained structure for my Business blueprint phase ( Means under this phase, i have maintained activities & task)
Thanks

• GUI design tips

Hi,
I have a web dynpro component consisting of two views. Each of the two views have several transparaent containers that are set to visible/not visible depending on useraction.
One of the transparent containers contains a roadmap, with four roadmap steps, which shows/highlights exactly where the user has navigated to. (placed on top of each view)
This roadmap should be the same in both views, and always be visisble. Instead of defining the roadmap in both views, is there any way to define this once, without having to change the two views into one view?
Regards
Arne Jakob

Hi,
You can have one Main view, with a Road map and Have a viewcontainer UI element.
Embed this Main view in the window Now under this embed the other 2 views inside this view container and have all the navigations..
Regards,
Lekha.

Hi,
Pls. find the following details regarding the Implementation :
Implementation Assistant
Purpose
The Implementation Assistant is a key ASAP navigation tool. It allows you to access the ASAP Roadmap along with many other tools and accelerators.
Features
The Implementation Assistant provides a framework for your implementation project based on the Roadmap, a tree structure that displays work packages, activities, and tasks. The documentation stored at each level of this structure contains recommendations on implementing your SAP System and links to helpful tools, accelerators, and information on SAPNet and the World Wide Web. You can include your own documents, thereby increasing the number of accelerators available.
It also helps you to implement a combination of software implementation projects. You can install several flavors (R/3, APO, BW, Business-to-Business Procurement) for the Implementation Roadmap type at the same time. This provides you with a combined Roadmap to guide you through your implementation.
You can edit the ASAP Roadmap structure, add customer-specific documents to the tree structure as nodes, rename nodes and set them in scope.
In the Implementation Assistant you can view the Roadmap according to:
Subject areas - Select this option to display only those texts that are relevant for a specific subject area, such as Organizational Change Management, Quality, Testing, or Authorization.
Roles - Select this option to display only those texts relevant to a particular role, such as System Administrator, Training Coordinator, Development Manager or Technical Consultant.
Scope - Select this option to display only those nodes that you have set in scope.
From the Implementation Assistant, you have several navigation options.
You can:
Launch the Question & Answer database. The questionnaires, forms, and reports in this database will help you carry out the project tasks described in the ASAP Roadmap.
Launch the Knowledge Corner , which contains detailed documentation, information on technical tools and Simplification Guides
Open the Concept Check Tool , which you can use to check the quality of your implementation project during the first two phases of the Roadmap
Display a list of accelerators and texts in the Knowledge Corner in alphabetical order
Consult implementation project plans for either six or nine months
From a hierarchical list, display the Business Process Procedures that must be carried out in order to complete a particular transaction
Consult the ASAP glossary
The Find function allows you to search for information contained in the Implementation Assistant. You can search for one specific keyword, for a combination of keywords using connectors, for a particular phrase, or use a wild card
ASAP Roadmap
Use
The ASAP Roadmap provides the methodology for implementing and continuously optimizing your SAP System. It divides the implementation process into five phases and offers detailed Project Plans to assist you (in Microsoft Project format). The documentation stored at each level of the Roadmap tree structure contains recommendations on implementing your SAP System and links to helpful tools and accelerators.
Purpose
When you install the Implementation Assistant you can choose from several Roadmap types and flavors.
Roadmap types
Roadmap flavors
Implementation
R/3 System (Continuous Improvement)
BW
APO
Business-to-Business Procurement
Global ASAP
R/3 System
Upgrade
R/3 System
In your implementation project (Roadmap type: Implementation), you can bring together several Roadmap flavors in one Roadmap. The Implementation Assistant also helps you to implement a combination of software implementation projects.
Features
The implementation of your SAP System covers the following phases:
1.Project Preparation
In this phase you plan your project and lay the foundations for successful implementation. It is at this stage that you make the strategic decisions crucial to your project:
Define your project goals and objectives
Clarify the scope of your implementation
Define your project schedule, budget plan, and implementation sequence
Establish the project organization and relevant committees and assign resources
2.Business Blueprint
In this phase you create a blueprint using the Question & Answer database (Q&Adb), which documents your enterpriseu2019s requirements and establishes how your business processes and organizational structure are to be represented in the SAP System. You also refine the original project goals and objectives and revise the overall project schedule in this phase.
3.Realization
In this phase, you configure the requirements contained in the Business Blueprint. Baseline configuration (major scope) is followed by final configuration (remaining scope), which can consist of up to four cycles. Other key focal areas of this phase are conducting integration tests and drawing up end user documentation.
4.Final Preparation
In this phase you complete your preparations, including testing, end user training, system management, and cutover activities. You also need to resolve all open issues in this phase. At this stage you need to ensure that all the prerequisites for your system to go live have been fulfilled.
5.Go Live & Support
In this phase you move from a pre-production environment to the live system. The most important elements include setting up production support, monitoring system transactions, and optimizing overall system performance.
After your system has gone live, you can use a separate Roadmap with six work packages, in order to optimize your SAP System continuously.
These phases are the main milestones for your SAP System implementation project. Each phase has:
Work packages, which consist of activities, for which project teams are responsible.
Activities, which consist of tasks, which are processed by one or more team members.
Tasks, which are carried out by a project team member. You can also access the How-to sections and accelerators at this level.
HOpe this helps.

• Road Map creation

Hi Friends,
There is a querry. I have created a roadmap by first defining it in RMDEF transaction and then created it in RMAUTH. Now, the problem is that I am unable to view the roadmap in RMMAIN transaction. I need help. it's urgent.
Thanks and regards,
Prakash.

Hello Dears.
I have the same issue. The structure in the RMMAIN doesn't show nothing whose i created in the RMAUTH. Choosing all the filters in RMMAIN (first button after the entry screen) the structure appears, but with the checkboxs unflagged. In the same moment occurs a warning with the code error "AI_ROADMAP042". When I try to "change scope" (menu project) the structure don't appears.
In the RMAUTH transaction all changes are supported, with exception of the "change scope", disabled in this transaction.
Someone can help?
Regards,
FS.

• RoadMap Graphical View

Hi,
For one of the RoadMap, The Graphical view is not displayed correctly.
There are 6 phases maintained in the RoadMap and as per standards all the phases should have same space occupied in the Graphical view, if I am correct.
But for the Roadmap created recently, In the Graphical view, 4th and 5 th phases are occupied with diffecrent space, i.e 4th with less space and 5 th more space when compared to other phases.
This issue exists only for one RoadMap, there is no problem with other RoadMap's present in the system.
Pls help me with your inputs.

• Roadmap's Accelerator view from SMP

Hi Gurus,
When I browsed thru the roadmaps in SMP, I came across accelerators.
I tried to open those accelerators - some links - linking to PDFs uploaded somewhere else in SMP are visible. But certain accelerators specifically uploaded for the roadmap (like docs, PPTs, Forms, etc) are not visible.
Is this a bug? Any idea or experience about this kind of occurrence pls?
Thanks & Best regds,
Alagammai.

Hi Sanjai,
The problem is not in Solution Manager RoadMap.
The problem is while opening accelerators from the RoadMap in Service Market Place.
Looks like some Browser issue.
best regds,

• Using roadmap and select-options

I'm new to abap web dynpro, i'm using a roadmap with 4 views. This is working fine but, when I try to use select options in view1 they don't show. When I set view1 as default view the select options are working fine.
this is how my current web dynpro looks like:
Main view -> roadmap with viewcontainerUIElement
view1 -> viewContainerUIElement + table (in the window I embedded the select options in the viewContainerUIElement)
view2
view3
view4
In view1 I'm using wddoinit to initialise the select options.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Srinivas,
According to you mail, I will provide some solution please try them. It will definitely works.
---> Create a attribute which holds the lead selection values of the RADIO_GROUP.
---> When you click on the Next View, You will fire the plug. Right. Just before firing the Plug, update the above
attribute with update information.
> Do the same code for Select-options code in the WDDOINIT except the passing the values to the select-options.
> Please pass the attribute information to Select-options with updated information in the method WDDOMODIFYVIEW every time. Without creating a attribute also you can approach the same method. Just for simple access we can create a attribute. Otherwise without that we can do the same.
So Just populate the values into Select-options depending on the value of RADIO_GROUP you will do the same coding WDDOMODIFYVIEW. But initialization of SELECT-OPTIONS can be only done in the method WDDOINIT method only. WDDOINIT method only execute first time once you go through it and go back and move forward then this method won't execute.
I hope this logic will work for you. If not Please send me the Code related to SELECT-OPTIONS and RADIO_GROUP Button information.
I will be in office today up to 4.45 PM (IST). You can contact me in this time otherwise we will discuss on webex tomorrow morning at 9 AM.
Warm Regards,
Vijay

• How to skip first step in a FPM roadmap?

Hello, Our client wants the first step disabled/not displayed in a standard roadmap that has been delivered with the software. The standard roadmap uses component FPM_GAF_COMPONENT and consists of 4 steps (and is based on an application config and component config). They want to directly display the second step with certain values in the second screen pre-populated from a custom application (the second screen would in normaly flow be populated from first screen). So I have two tasks:
1) disable first screen/step
2) populate second screen/step with data from custom application
This is my first exposure to FPM and roadmaps. I tried deleting the first step from the component configuration and making the current 3 step process into a 3 step process, but this does not work and did not seem to be the way to go. On looking around I see some documentation for methods HIDE_MAINSTEP to be used thru IF_FPM_GAF interface, but am not sure where to implement this interface or what code to use in the method.
Can anyone provide step by step suggestions and examples of codes please?
Thanks,
Zack

Thanks Harish.
I was able to get to the HIDE_MAINSTEP method. However, when I try to hide step 1, which is my requirement, there is a short dump. If I hide step 2 or 3 out of the 4 step process, the sequence of screens is showing up appropriately. However, when I hide step 1, there seems to be some problem in mehod WDDOMODIFYVIEW of view CNR_VIEW of component FPM_GAF_COMPONENT where in a loop for the first loop pass, even though step 1 is hidden, the code is trying to access the road_map_step element which is not instantiated. We have opened a note for this issue.

• Centralized View for all the Project Document in Solution Manager

we assign roadmap to our Implementation project and as per roadmap we upload different documents for the project(e.g. business case, project charter) at different phases of roadmap. can we see all the documents related to a project from a single centralized view??

Hi B_J,
it is correct, each document has attributes, on the attribute tab in the button bar, there is an icon to generate an url for the selected document. This link is stored in your windows clipboard, so you can past this link in an e-mail or wordfile. The person who gets the e-mail must have access to the Solution Manager via network, he needs no personal user in the system. The link used a service of Solution Manager(check in the Solution Manager IMG at the HTTP services). This service requires a user to read the document. If you have no user, then it is necessary that in the system a default user is assigned to the service or to its alias. Now to your second use case, the approval, you can not bring any information INTO Solution Manager, you can only answer the e-mail, with the info, yes the document is OK, but you can not set a status or an other attribute at the document, that the document is approved.

• OnPlus Top 10 and Roadmap - What do you think?

Thank you all so much for your great feedback! During the past few months, we’ve met and talked to quite a bit of you on shows, events and here on our Support Community, and listened to your comments and requests.
Following these discussions and the feedback given on our previous announcement on our Top 10 list of features (here), we internally got together to think of ways on how to address those in our roadmap, so we’re happy to share our plan with you here.
And as always – comment away! You’re feedback is most valuable.
Coming soon…
Here are the features we have planned for the next few months out…
More supported platforms – as you requested, we’re looking into adding support for more Cisco products. Mainly we are looking at adding support for the following:
Catalyst 2K and 3K Switches
Additional ISR G2 platforms
Co-Branded OnPlus – many of have told us how cool it would be if you could demonstrate your managed services to your existing or prospective customer, with your logo on it, so you can create more of an identity for your company. In the next few months, we’ll be working on a Co-Branded service. You will be able to upload your logo to OnPlus, and we will populate that on the portal and in OnPlus reports.
Telnet/SSH – this feature was on our previous Top 10 list, and we kept it here, not only because many of you asked for it, but also since we’ll be adding more Cisco devices with a CLI.This feature will enable you to create, through OnPlus a Telnet or SSH tunnel directly into the device you’d like to manage, with the same experience as you could connect to a device’s GUI.
Customer Access to OnPlus – soon you’ll be able to invite your customers to (only) view their accounts on OnPlus, so they can stay up-to-date with your service.
Multi-site/network management – many of you have customers with multiple sites, but now, each is represented as a separate site.
We’ll be working on a more consolidated view, where you’ll be able to manage customers with multiple networks in an intuitive manner. More to come on this in the future…
Wireless Practice – reports dedicated to the wireless network in your customer networks will be coming as part of an offering linked to new Cisco Access Points coming in the spring.
Device Credentials Test – when you enter credentials for a device in its window in OnPlus – we’ll test them for you and let you know if they’re correct or not.
Turn off monitors on selected devices – Since many of you use an RMM, we’ve heard this request quite a bit – can you turn off the monitors on only a selected number of devices or category? This feature will offer you the ability to configure which devices will, or will not be monitored.
More on PSA integration – we’re looking at a deeper integration both with Autotask and Connectwise, mainly in the ticketing system:
Upload device configuration into the ticket – for a failed device, we will upload the last device configuration to the ticket, for your convenience.
Embed a device window link in a ticket – in any ticket that’s opened, a link to the failing device’s window wll be provided so you can open it directly through your PSA.
ISP Speed test – here you will quickly be able to gauge how your service provider is doing, as more means to troubleshoot from afar.
Other features coming in the pipeline:
Here are some more features we will be looking into in the upcoming months, but will be noticeable only later on. Some have remained from our original list, and others have been added following your feedback.
Network Assessments - placing the ON100 network agent at a potential customer site and running a network assessment can give you enough information about that site, in order to give your prospective customer a proposal. This could be especially useful when using a tablet at that customer’s site, and showing the results on the fly.
Network Health dashboard – a dedicated health tab will provide you with details regarding your customer network, as well as some more troubleshooting tools you can utilize for further investigation
OnPlus recommendations - receive recommendations from OnPlus that pertain to the devices on the networks you manage – from notifications on configuration adjustments to promotions and suggestions. This could be a great way to initiate a discussion with your customer on additions, changes, replacements and much more.
RMM Integration - we are looking closely at integrating functionality with the some Remote Management and Monitoring tools, mainly Level Platforms and Kaseya. More on that to follow…
IPv6 – for networks that have already adopted, or are beginning to adopt IPv6 - OnPlus would discover, assess, manage and advise you, same as you know it today.
Managing different subnets and VLANs – we are looking at ways to discover other subnets and VLANs other than the one that the network agent is on.
Access privileges to agents - when adding a sub-agent in your account on the OnPlus portal, you'd be able to assign different privileges for each agent, per customer. Meaning, if agent 'John' supports customers A, B and C, and agent 'Jane' support customers X, Y and Z; John would have Read-Write access to only A, B and C but Read-Only access to X, Y and Z and vice versa for Jane. It would be up to the master agent to determine this privilege allocation
More integration with Cisco Services – through OnPlus you’d be able to see your active Service Requests and RMAs and their history, and also file for an RMA through OnPlus.
Extension of Service contracts and Warranty – we’re looking at ways for you to extend your service contracts and warranties through OnPlus, without the need to call Cisco or your distributor.
As always, please don’t hesitate to let us know your comments, thoughts and wishes. We listen to everything!
Thanks,
The OnPlus Team

As a T&M and managed services provider for the small business market (average business customer has 1 to 5 locations and anywhere between 2 and 50 total devices, including computers and printers, per location), we are looking for a drop-in one-box does-it-all type of management and monitoring device. With this said for perspective, here is the my reaction to the proposed Top 10 list.
"More supported platforms – " The full line of Cisco "Built for Small Business" Routers/Firewalls, Switches, Unified Communications, and Wireless Access Points should be supported fully by OnPlus. These devices should be able to store their configuration files and firmware on the device. Support for these devices should take precedence over supporting Cisco Enterprise Grade hardware because the OnPlus device is billed as a small business network management product.
"Co-Branded OnPlus –" This is a good idea, but additional reporting capabilities and full line of Cisco "Built for Small Business" product support should take priority over Co-Branding.
Telnet/SSH – I'm not sure I understand this is a new feature. We are currently able to use the generic connection capability to connect to Telnet and SSH.
Customer Access to OnPlus – We should be able to provide customers with either read-only or full-control access to their network as our contracts stipulate. We have some customers in both categories.
Multi-site/network management – This feature will be very helpful to our customers that have some on-staff IT support.
We’ll be working on a more consolidated view, where you’ll be able to manage customers with multiple networks in an intuitive manner. More to come on this in the future… -- Waiting to see the details
Wireless Practice – Good to know.
Device Credentials Test – We are looking forward to receiving instant feedback about whether a device has proper credentials (please include snmp in the credentials test) or not.
Turn off monitors on selected devices – Yeah!!
More on PSA integration – I'd like to see integration with Spiceworks in addition to the items below.
There are some things that are important to our customers that aren't on the top 10 list. Here are some of those items.
A. More network health reporting options and graphs. It would be nice to be able to run a report that prints out the network Latency and Jitter and Packet Loss metrics that show up on the OnPlus' Wan Monitor Tab. It would also be nice to include an accurate WAN speed graph in the same report. It would also be nice to run reports on supported switches that show packet errors, Spanning Tree misconfiguration, etc.
B. Configure the OnPlus Device to act as a syslog server
C. Im in agreement with some of the thoughts above about being able to capture more WMI data and/or event log/syslog data for Windows/Linux/MAC devices and provide some reporting options for that data. Our clients have a limited budget, so anything we can provide for them in a single drop-in appliance in the realm of network and device management is appreciated.
D. Voicemail backup mentioned above is a great idea
E. Support for Spiceworks Ticketing/Reporting Integration
F. Additional support for non Cisco Devices -- Most of our cleints have heterogenous networks, so being able to support devices from multiple vendors is important. Being able to back up the network config of any SNMP capable network device could be very beneficial.
G. Selective VLAN listening scope from the OnPlus. Reduces the amount of switch configuration needed to deploy the OnPlus in environments where we only need to monitor devices on some VLANS.
H. Selective global enablling or disabling of remote device connectivity for a customer's site or sites.
I. Ability to connect to multiple remote management sessions concurrently from the OnPlus. This and #H could work together to enable a range of remote connectivity options between maybe 0 and 5 concurrent sessions and could possibly be a factor in service level pricing to the customer. And, a report could be created that showed the customer the times when someone accessed their devices remotely through the OnPlus.
As for general direction for the OnPlus --- I hope it doesn't go down the road of only or primarily being a management device for Cisco Enterprise IOS based products. There appear to already be specialized Cisco Management products available for the Enterprise IOS based line of products. I want to see OnPlus continue to support Service Providers who have clients on the smaller side of the SMB market. In the part of the country where we work, the SMB clients, simply don't have resources for Cisco Enterprise IOS products, so it is great be able to offer a low cost drop-in appliance that fulfills general network and device monitoring and management needs.

• How to push a view to another view to a specific State in Mobile App?

I want to open a second view that contains some states from the first view.
Example: myFirstView with a spark list component:
So far I got this code for the view of the list to push to the other views:
<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import spark.events.IndexChangeEvent;
protected function selectionChangingHandler(event:IndexChangeEvent):void
if(myList.selectedIndex == 0){
navigator.pushView(mysecondView);
} else if (myList.selectedIndex == 1){
navigator.pushView(myThirdView);
} else if (myList.selectedIndex == 2){
navigator.pushView(myFouthView);
]]>
<s:List id="myList" width="100%" height="100%"
alternatingItemColors="[#EEEEEE, #E3E3E3]" change="selectionChangingHandler(event)">
<s:dataProvider>
<s:ArrayList>
<fx:Object label="newView 1" />
<fx:Object label="newView 2" />
<fx:Object label="newView 3" />
</s:ArrayList>
</s:dataProvider>
</s:List>
This code push to the views but I need to go to any of the states in each view.
And mysecondview let's say with 3 States:
<s:State name="myState1"/>
<s:State name="myState2"/>
<s:State name="myState3"/>
From the fisrt view list to go, let's say to mySecondView > myState 1, 2 or 3
Any help?
Hope is wel explained
Thanks in advance
