Solution Manager 4.0_Roadmap authorization

Dear friends,
I am defining roadmap in t.code RMDEF & RMAUTH (in Sol Man 4.0). After creating a roadmap in RMDEF, i am giving authorization for my user defined roadmap in t.code RMAUTH. Then if i enter into work area maintenance (Graphical view of roadmap) of my roadmap, i wants to drilldown the activities under the phase of Business Blueprint.
While doing so, i am getting following message:
" The substructure is not possible:Expand is not possible" .
Even though i have maintained structure for my Business blueprint phase ( Means under this phase, i have maintained activities & task)
Thanks
Senthil

  • Solution Manager Service Desk authorization

    Hi
We're in the middle of implementing service desk for key-user acess. I.e our key-users should be able to use the system to veiw tickets and to be able to respond and set some statuses.
The problem I have is to restrict the change authorization to only their own tickets. Anyone know if and how this can be easily done?
The idea is that the Key-User should be able to view all tickets to be able to find a soluton to their question before creating an incident but only to view all those tickets. When the Key-user has created a ticket he should be able to change his own ticket and for example to create a reply to service desk or set status to Solution Confirmed. We will be using both work centers and GUI acess.
    Any ideas are welcome!!

  • Solution Manager Project

When creating a project in Solution Manager (solar_project_admin) I am receiving an error when creating the IMG View for the remote system. The message states that I am not authorized to display the project even though I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorizations in both systems. When reading the extended help for the error (SPROJECT322) it states that I need the value 03 for the field ACTVT in the authorization object S_PROJECT, but I have confirmed that this is already set.
It begins the process of creating the IMG in the remote system but does not complete the link back to the Solution Manager project.
Are there any other reasons why this type of behavior might occur?

    Prince Jose
Thank you for your suggestion, but let me provide you with a little more information to see if this is still the correct action to take.
I currently have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorizations in Solution Manager along with many different role assignments.  In the satellite systems I have the IMG_CUS_ADMIN role for managing the projects when they are published to those systems.
In my most recent work I created a project in Solution Manager using 4 different logical components (BI, ECC, SCM, and SRM) for the systems that this project would interact with.  With my current Solution Manager security and authorizations I was able to create the IMG view from Solution Manager to the BI, SCM, and SRM systems, but received my error message described above for the ECC system.
Based on that do you think I would still look at my security in the Solution Manager system, or a configuration in the satellite system?

  • Create messages on Solutions manager system it self.

    Hi ,
On our customer solutions manager system we don't have access to directly log messages via the solutions manager itself, but from the customers ECC (SAP production system)
When we select Help --> Create support message, we get the error "You dont have authorization to create a support message".
Would any one know how this restriction is made where you restrict users from logging messages directly on SM.
Its it a standard role with authorisation. If so please advise the role.
    Thank you & regards,
    Harshini.

    Dear Harshini,
I dont know if in solution manager additonally a authorization is needed maybe you can ask one colleague by open a ticket under component SV-SMG* . For Service Marketplace your user id must have the authorization object" create sap customer message".

  • Manage BOBJ folder authorization with Solution Manager

    Hi Expert,
At first I'll speak about our landscape, it include SAP BW as DWH, BO 4.1 for WEBI reporting (it is a migration project, the universes are connected to the infocube BW) and solution manager as central system for the monitoring and authorization management.
I'm new on BO, and I'm facing this question: is it possible with abap role Sol Man to manage the authorization for the folders on BOBJ launch pad?
I'm thinking if it is possible to create an abap role with menu hierarchy, and to import this into BOBJ (like with enterprise portal) in order to post the webi report into a specific folder with it's own authorization roles.
I know that it's possible to import abap role from BW to BO, so it should be possible also from sol man, but this concerns the 'data' authorization.
    has anyone faced this issue?
    Thank you in advance.
    Lucia

Unfortunately, this is not possible and big limitation regarding the integration with BO and BW. You need to import the rolesand assign them to folders manually...
You could automate it if you know SDK but you will have to evaluate if it's worth the effort

  • Regarding authorization in solution manager for Central system monitoring

    Hi,
I want to Prevent users from deleting Task logs in central system monitoring
    in solution manager
I have assigned the roles SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER_DISP
But it gives display authorization for everything unable to keep track of
    changes in monitoring
Can anyone please help me to prevent users from deleting task log history
Since I have to keep track of one month data
What can be the suitable role for it ? or what authorization objects i should
make a change to prevent deleting tasklog.
Kindly help me in this regard
    Regards
    Sanjeev.S

    Thanks for your prompt reply
I am not saying about SDDCN
In transction solution_manager  => opertation set up = > central system
    administation
we  will do manual monitoring for sattelite systems in this path. what we monitored
will be entered in task log history.
So what can be the suitable role to prevent the deleting of the task log history.
There is option delete task history. if any one by mistake clicked on that ,all the
records of monitoring will be lost.
so kindly suggest me a suitable solution

  • Authorization Sap Solution Manager

    Hello,
Does anybody know if and how it is possible to restrict authorizations on organizational levels in solution manager? For instance: The team in the Netherlands may only list the messages directed to the Netherlands where the messages directed to the US team may only be displayed by the US employees.
Until now I have only found the option to restrict displaying to your own created messages (role sap_suppdesk_display)
    Saskia

    Hey Saskia,
There is  a way to limit the ability of individuals to see only the Support Messages that are assigned to them or their support team?
So which means members of your US team can only see the messages assigned to them and members of Netherlands team can only see messages assigned to them or their team.
    This should satify your requirement..
I assume your organization sturcture is configured appropiatately..
    Follow these Guidelines:
Define selection variants, which can then be stored in a transaction. These transactions can in turn be assigned to roles. You can create variants using the Selection Monitor (CRM_DNO_MONITOR).
***Define the criteria in the Transaction Monitor, and choose from the menu:
    Goto-> Variants -> Save as variant. ***
There are two ways to assign the variants to a transaction:
    1)Using Transaction SE93:
    • Create a new transaction code
    • Select the transaction with parameters (parameter transaction)
    • Specify the transaction field, enter "Start_Report" and set "Skip entry screen"
    • For GUI support, select all options
    • Specify the following parameters:
    • D_SREPOVARI-REPORT = CRM_DNO_SERVICE_MONITOR
    • D_SREPOVARI-VARIANT = Name of the previously created variant
    • D_SREPOVARI-NOSELSCRN = "X"
    2) Using Transaction PFCG: Select the role. On the "Menu“ tab for the role, select "Insert report“. In the dislog box, select the report type’ABAP Report’ and specify the report CRM_DNO_SERVICE_MONITOR. Select the desired variant and set the option ’Skip selection screen’.
Set all the options for GUI support.
<b>Please Reward points for usefull answer.</b>
    PLease revert for any clarifications.

  • Authorizations in SAP Solution Manager

    Hello all,
does anyone know how can i (of if i can) give permissions for the workcenters but only for a Solution ?
For example, a client has two landscapes and they want to use one solution manager for monitoring, but they want to restrict access to both landscapes by two teams. Each team should ony have access to "their" systems.
Do you know how to do this ? Is there an organizational level per Solution ?
    Best Regards,
    Maria Serra

    Hi Martha,
As Jared said, there is always an option to restrict the access to solution via this object:D_SOL_VSBL. You still have a way to restrict access on workcenter via the role :SAP_SMSY_* and inside it on the Authorization object : S_SMSYSYST.
But i would still suggest to have separate solutions for each landscape considering your requirement as it offers wider authority for each process. Like setup and operation for each elements in monitoring. You can find solution for your scenario in solman [security guide|https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000370562009E/SM_SECURITY_SPS23.pdf].
    Hope this helps.

  • Solution manager Authorization issue

    Dear all,
We are maintaining a enterprise solution manager.
we maintain all our SAP clients issues which is posted in our solution manager.
Now the issue is if the clients login in to our solution manager to see the issue status, they are able to see all the  clients issues which is posted.
but we want to restrict the authorization not to see other clients issues which is posted in our solution manager.
we want them to see the issues only which is posted by them.
Please give me if there is set of authorization to do this.
    Regards
    Prakash

    HI,
From ur post, I think u have provided authorization to access the tcode crm_dno_monitor. In that case, u cannot restrict him to see all other messages. If u want to restrict the authorization, create a variant with necessary inputs which shows the result ur customer wants to see and assign that to his favourites. Only provide access to call that variant.

  • Authorization check For Test plan in SAP Solution Manager test management

  • SAP Solution Manager - authorizations

    Hello!
Is there any functionality in Solution Manager for
    1. Adjust user rights per project
    - example:
User1 has access in Project1 but no access to Project2 in same Solution Manager client
    2. Adjust user rights per part of project structure
    - example:
User1 has access in Business scenario1 of Project1 but no access to Business scenario2 of Project1
    3. Adjust user rights per document belonging into project
    - example:
User1 has access in Document1 of Process step1 of Project1 but no access to Document2 of Process step1 of Project1

    Thanks for the tip!
What I was searching for was not in Change Request Management but more like Project Administration. It was found from the Solution Manager library help in Assign Authorization for Documents:
"You can control the access rights to documents in the project by assigning authorizations for groups of documents, e.g. you can specify that only the project management can change documentation templates. The system saves Solution Manager project documents in Knowledge Warehouse folders. Access to Knowledge Warehouse folders is controlled by the authorization object S_IWB, which is in the roles SAP_SOL_KW_ALL and SAP_SOL_KW_DIS, and in the Solution Manager Composite Rolles.
You have role (transaction PFCG) and user maintenance authorization..."
So, thanks for the guidance .

  • SAP Solution Manager - authorization to reply

    Hello,
I have a problem with my SAP Solution Manager. When I post a support message, and the support consultant answer and set the message status to "Author Action", I can't reply to say that the proposed solution didn't resolve the problem. I have the following message : "You are not authorized to perform this function".
This is in the web interface, and I didn't manage to see the traces, and necessary authorization.
But I can confirm if I want. The user have theses followings roles :
    ZSAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    ZSAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
    ZSAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
    ZSAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
I have to specify that I upgraded Solution Manager last week.
This is a DEV SolMan, and all works very well on PROD SolMan, and the roles are the same.
    Thanks for help,
    Regards.

    Hi Michal,
I've tried with web interface and there is no trace. But with transaction CRMD_ORDER, and with the good hour I have a result.
    http://www.hiboox.fr/go/images/cuisine/objects,45a6323dd0efddbd06c6cff29b43f71f.bmp.html
So I have theses results, and if I read, this is CRM_TXT_ID Object which block the reply function?

  • System landcape in large enterprise with solution manager

    Dear Guru,
Do you have any ideas of how to set up Solution Manager in a big national enterprise?  Let's suppose
a big company has a headquarter and serveral branches.
Every branch has its ERP, BW, etc,  do you think it is better to set up respective Solution Manager system
for each branch or just create a powerful one centrally in the headquarter. Of course the latter means
less management but more authorization seperation related actions.
Is there any recommendation for this situation? Your opinion and insight is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ray

    Dear Gugu,
I know Solution Manager support some scenarios for multiple customer .e.g VAR in service desk.
But is it possible for hide solution or project infomation, especially content of respective business blueprint
    to different customers?
I mean we want to use one single Solution Manager for multiple customers, but customers do not want their
owned document and business process information shared with other customers.
e.g.  one customer log on to SOLMAN, then he could view project or solution information of other customer,
furthermore, he could also build up his business blueprint referring to other customer's  business blueprint.
Is it possible to segregate this infomation?
    Thanks a lot.
    Ray
