Open any Message mapping in IR. Press <b>CtrlShift0(zero)</b> to open a new menu.
There you will find an option "Is Java Source Code Available?"
There will be an export button nearby. Use it to get the code.
Open it in a zip , you will see the hide java code.
The JAVA code for graphical msg mapping is in below folder:
\usr\sap\<SID>\<DVEBMGS10>\j2ee\cluster\server0\temp\classpath_resolver
Here all the mapping jars are there in this folder.
Just decompile these jars and you can see the code.

How to register a custom plsql code

i have wrritten a custom plsql code for my Overtime entries validation for payroll processing.
Can any body tell me how to register it in application.
Secondly i want to get the output file generated by report submission on my desktop.i want to know where the report output files for HR and payroll are stored so that i can get them through FTP.

All reports and processes in Oracle Apps are handled via concurrent programs and requests. When a concurrent request is finished, click on the output button, and depending from the filetype, your browser will take action.
All concurrent output is also stored on the concurrent server. Ask your apps dba where she mapped the concurrent output directory. But i do not see why you should need this.

OWB Code generator - does not generate consistent code in every deployment

Hi,
I have a mapping to load dimension WM_USERS_ADVISORS_DIM.
Every time I generate the code for this mapping code generated is different than previous. Hence the query optimization applied at database level does not work.
following are 2 different queries generated for the same mapping.
Also, In target load order for this dimension, automatically values are populated like USERS_ADVISORS_STG, where as I have not declared this table/dim.
I am unable to remove this from load order. Every time code gets generated these _STG is added to each level in Dimension.
Please suggest how to have a consistent ETL generated every single time ETL deploys?

Hello,
These wrappers were separated into different templates. What you would need to do is to run the templates that you need. You can find these templates in the C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MATRIXx\mx_71.4\case\ACC\templates folder.

Which are the advantages of OWB Mappings over PLSQL code?

I was wondering which are the advantages of OWB (10gr2 or 11g) Mappings vs simple PLSQL code when the mappings are, for performance reasons, only generated in set based mode.

I'd say it's the general benefits that an ETL tool is considered to have over hand crafted code e.g. maintainability and traceability. The latest versions of OWB also make it even easier to maintain TYPE2 dimensions etc.
Of course benefits go the other way as well in that if you want the optimum performing code then a skilled PL/SQL developer will deliver that.

I know how to generate alrets by configuring ALRTCATDEF, Alert Configuration.
I want to know how we can generate alert from mapping for ex..
If a=b then send the message
and if a!=b then failed the message and throw and alert.
In java or XSLT mapping

Bhavesh Blog explied to raise alert using UDF,if you want using JAVA or XSLT converth the same code in to JAVA Map,I think it will work.
I had done similar requirement using Mial adapter using Java Mapping.

PLSQL and Java XML type mapping

Running database 10gR2. Trying to create a Java stored procedure that returns an XML type (oracle.xdb.XMLType) like so:

     oracle.xdb.XMLType xmlt = new oracle.xdb.XMLType( xmldata );
     return xmlt;
This, of course, is wrapped by a PL/SQL function:
function doSomething( xmldata varchar2 ) return SYS.XMLTYPE AS LANGUAGE JAVA
name 'MyCoolClass.doSomething(java.lang.String) return oracle.xdb.XMLType';
While everything compiles (that means it should work, right?), the above codes generates a runtime error ORA-00932 'inconsistent datatypes' error.   I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, it was my understanding that a default mapping existed between the PL/SQL SYS.XMLTYPE and oracle.xdb.XMLType. Is what I'm attempting even possible?

Castor XSD Code Generation ANT task: mapping XML file?

Hello,
I am new to Castor and am using the Castor Code Generator ANT task to generate code from a XSD schema file.
I am using a binding XML file as well. One thing that I have a question about is the needed XML mapping file. I set the ‘*generateMapping*’ attribute to ‘true’ but have not found a mapping XML document.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
I would have attached the XSD files(some are imported), binding XML file and the ANT build.xml file in a .zip file to this post, but this forum does not have a facility for file attachments, but I can email them upon request.

JAXB is the Java standard (JSR-222) for generating Java classes from an XML schema. Several implementations of this standard are available:
- Metro JAXB: The JAXB reference implementation, available in Java SE 6 and as part of GlassFish
- EclipseLink JAXB (MOXy): Part of EclipseLink, also available in Oracle TopLink
- JaxMe: Available from Apache
- Etc...

The DBMS_AWM package provides stored procedures for creating an analytic workspace cube from a star schema. Is it posible to create a cube from a snoflake schema?

Problem with .c code generated from proc compiler.

I am having a problem compiling the c code generated from the proc pre-compiler.
First some info on my system.

It seems like the compiler is generating c++ code but the gcc compiler is only compiling in cc mode. I've tried a number of options in the pcscfg.cfg file to no avail. I have tried the different options for the CODE=cpp in the pcscfg.cfg file but still get the same error and/or multiple errors. I have also tried to compile the oracle demo programs using the demo_proc.mk file and also get the same error.
The install of Oracle is fine. I can start the database and have created a needed user and tables but cannot successfully compile the pro*C code.

My proc is also compiling for cpp code but in the pcscfg.cfg file there is no "CODE=cpp"

Web Dynpro Code Generator

Hi All
In webdynpro some files will be generated by "Web Dynpro Code Generator" internally and keeps in gen_wdp folder. One of the file (that is Internalview_XXX.java file) generated by this generator contains the methods which are duplicated there by at the time of DC build it is giving errors such as already defined
Thereby deleting these gen_wdp folder also does not solved my issues please any one can help me in this issue.

Hi,
You are correct - files in the gen_wdp folder are generated by NWDS using the WDP Framework.
Have you tried to edit these files directly? If so you will need to a second WDP project and create the view, then add whatever coding you did onthe older view. Finally you can delete the old view and replace it.
It is not guaranteed to work - but unless I have more information on what you are trying to do - I will not be able to give more help.

Interface using PLSQL code

I ve written a plsql anonymous block code in database . That code is selecting 2 columns from source and want to implement that code in ODI interface in such a way that the values of two columns should be loaded into target.
How to do the such interface??

If yoru PLSQL code is in a "oracle package" object, you can call this object in an ODI interface
example :
your oracle package is called "my_PL_proc" and the parameter requires the source column "ID_PRODUCT"
in your ODI mapping, you can call it :

I am by no means an expert; furthermore, I do not know PHP, I use ColdFusion. But what I am about to say applies just the same.

Advantages? None, and probably some disadvantages. I have qualms about this "data-centric" paradigm. Just to do some fun testing, I created two little projects:
Using the data-centric features of FB 4,

Using a service I coded, a cusom component based on mx:UIComponent,

These both have View Source enabled, so you can see the differences.
Anytime you use a program to generate code, that code will almost always be much larger than if you code by hand.
Look at the diference between the generated value objects and my single AS class. I have not run the profiler, so I don't know how many milliseconds' difference there is between how fast these run, but I suspect #2 is faster.
