View Z report in portal favorites

Hi,
I created transaction iview for some Z-REPORT by user mapping between ECC and EP. Now the user which I mapped can see the report in portal when I given them content administration role. But my client wants to provide all the report which I created in portal, to the end user without assigning content admin role. He wants to see the report in portal favorites without Content Administration role. How to achieve it? I hope now you can able to understand my requirement. Please provide the explanatory stems to reach the requirement.
Thanks,
Kundan

If I'm honest I'm not 100% sure what the requirement is, but your iview can be assigned to any role not just the content admin role. Users do not need to have content admin role to access iviews, in fact only admins should have that role assigned. What I would do is
1. create iview
2. create role
3. assign iview to role
4. assign iview to user(s) or group(s) of users
cheers,
Dion

  • Error in viewing reports through Portal favorites.

    Hello Everyone,
I am facing some issue in viewing reports in my portal.
I have kept some of my reports as portal favorites, but when i try to open those reports it is giving me an error saying page cannot be found or it may be unavailable.
    Please Help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Atul Dumbre

    Hi Atul,
Kindly check in the report's external link in KM.What is the iView its using?
then check in content administration whether that particular iview is available or not?
If that iView is not available then change the link.then it should work.

  • BI Bookmarks in Portal Favorites

    Hi
I am facing an issue with opening navigated and saved reports via Portal Favorites.
In the integrated BI report in the portal, I enter the variables in the variable entry screen and run the report. After the report loads, I click on 'Save As...' button and give a description and save it in Favorites tab.
When I need to access this report again directly without entering the variable values again, i click on the corresponding link in Portal Favorites. Although I would expect it to show me the report directly, it shows me the variable entry screen again.
But the bookmarks opens fine from within the Bex Report using 'Open' button next to the 'Save As...' button.
What am I doing wrong? Is there something that needs to be setup in the KM folder for this purpose?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Saving Executed BI Reprots in Portal Favorites

    Hi Team,
I had saved executed BI reports in Portal favorites. (I Ran the BI report  gave the input  executed BI report  saved in Portal Favorites.)
After I run the saved report from Portal Favorites again itu2019s asking BI Input screen instead of showing directly executed report.
Before it was showing executed report and recently the portal favorites behaving like this.
My question- what is the portal favoriteu2019s behavior in the perspective of BI reports.
Can you please clarify on this or give me some clues to solve this issue.
Quick response is high appreciates for my urgency.
    Thanks in Advance
    Venky

    Hi Mikhail/Bijro,
    Thanks for quick response.
    That's true.
But once we execute the report we can save as BI variant using "Save As" button. But later on if user wants to see same executed report user must give some input --> run the report --> open saved Variants using "Open" button to see saved executed report.
Instead of this, is there any way to save Executed BI variant into Portal Favorites? By that user can run the executed report from portal favorites?
I appreciate if you suggest me on this ASAP.
    Regards

  • Discoverer viewer in portal or Drill to detail in Disco report in Portal

    Hi
Is it possible to embed discoverer viewer into Portal page. I know one way, I can achieve this in older versions by using <IFRAME src="worksheet url"></iframe> as HTML portlet. But, the problem here is that, our Discoverer viewer is SSO protected. So,I don't want user to single sign on again, as they have already have done that when they got into portal.
My second question is , I have developed Page-Detail report in Disco plus, also I have Drill to Detail in the same report. Drill to Detail is created using "Manage Link" option. When I deploy this report into Portal using Disco Portlet provider, firstly in portal it is not showing the Page Item, also the Drill through link also is not showing.
Any help on the above questions would be greatly helpful.
    Thanks
    Balaji

    Hi
Firstly thank you very much for your response.
The Disco report I have is a Discoverer Plus report with Drill to Detail to another workbook(developed through manage link). But this Drillable link is not showing in the published Disco portlet. Are you saying that it should in the published disco portlet? .. As posted in previous response , I know this would work from Analyze link(which basically lauches viewer)..
But users would like to see this drillable link in the report in portal page itself(which means on the published portlet itself). To achieve this only, I used Iframes in Html portlet and showing the Discoverer viewer url. It works fine, but only thing is each time user naviges to portal page, it executes the report which takes some time. I am trying to avoid the execution process. I think one solution is I can just schdule these Disco reports and that way it will not query the database each time. I was wondering if there is any other solution maybe I am missing
    Thanks

    Hi All,
We are also having similiar type of error in our portal.
    com.sap.engine.services.prtbridge##com.sap.engine.services.prtbridge
    #######SAPEngine_System_Thread[impl:5]_13##0#0#Error#1#/System/Server#Plain###
The cluster server element 125898350 is not added in the EP cluster context,
because prtbridge on 125898350 is stopped  or not yet started
(maybe the server is starting or shuting down).
We have implemented the FPN using RRA.
This error comes only for few users when they navigate in Portal. After clearing the cache, it works for all. Kindly help us to resolve this issue.

  • Reappear the portal favorite view

    Hi,
I  tried to hide the portal favorite iview in iView editor. For that just i hide the "show favorite".It was hidden.
But again this iView is reappear in each & every users. How to hide it permanently so that it will not display in any iView.
Can anyone provide me the detail steps to achieve my requirement ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
But once i right clicking on default framework page, i can see the desktop inner page in page table. But their i am not able to find portal favorites iview. Only i can see the option visible & fixed check box right side of the desktop inner page table.
Right click open default framework page ->  desktop inner page ( select check box before desktop inner page ) -> click on open ( you can find it in bottom) -> then you can find portal favourites iview to uncheck.
Right now you opened framework page ,so you are able to see desktop inner page but you should open desktop inner page also to see portal favourites iview.

  • Change URL of Portal favorites

    Hello,
Is there any way to change the URL of user favorites stored in KM?
I have a few BI users who have saved many BEX Portal favorites using Web Analyzer. Unfortunately due to a change in the portal role assignment he can no longer access his favorites and it shows page cannot be found.  The reason being we were earlier rolling our Portal roles and Reports using Portal Groups.  Users would be assigned to Portal groups which in turn would be linked to the individual Portal Roles.  Recently we started assigning Portal Roles directly to user ids.
Surprisingly and I dont know why the favorites link create by the users include the portal group id as well in the url.  We have to manually modify those favorites link so that the portal groups can be removed.
When I navigate to root->user home-> <user> -> favorites I have view all the favorites created by the user, I can modify and see properties but there is no way I can change the "Content Link"  URL path under the "Access Links" tab.  There is also a Miscellaneous tab which has a bookmark_id = D7NQ1PKD34N4RMYJ8MYUJCSTY and template_name = ZANALYSIS_PATTERN.
I tried searching the bookmark_id on the ABAP stack in table SMEN_BUFFC but no luck.
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Kundu,
I dont understand what you mean by "adding permissions"  please elaborate.  Are you talking about adding "Full Control" to the Favorite links?  Please note the user is able to see their favorites in the KM Portal Favorite iView but they cannot get to the page using the link stored in those favorites since the link has the name of portal group embedded in it becuase they were assigned to those portal groups before.  Now they are just assigned to the portal roles directly.

  • IViews saved in Portal favorites - start of these shows no data

    Hi experts,
we have WebQueries that are executed in the Protal. After I get the output of the query I save the view under the portal favorites (Save as). This will be done correct. Unfortunately, if I click on the Portal favorite link I get no output.
The screen is complete empty. It seems the execution of the view runs in a endless loop.
Could you give me information to solve the problem and to get the view with all data ,please?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Marco

In the favourites you are saving  a link to start the iView, not the results of running the iView.  Let me give another example. If you run an iView that starts an SAP transaction and you enter some data and use the execute button, you see a report or whatever. Using the "Add to portal favourites" only adds the option to start the transaction - you still need to enter your values etc and use execute,
Try saving the portal favourite link before running the query and see what happens.

    Hello Experts,
We have prepared an ABAP report which generates an output in print format. We have used standard function module(SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME) and the smartform gets displayed correctly in print preview on R/3 side. But when i create a transaction iview and use this report in portal,  the output gets generated in pdf format directly.I do not want to display the report in .pdf format but i would like the users to view the output same as in R/3 format.

  • Create a mobile application for view BW reports.

I want to create a mobile application with MDK for viewing BW reports. It is possible ?

    Hello,
I have a similar kind of requirement here.
I need to show BW data on wireless device...via Portal.
This BW data is a query, which is created using WAD.
In normal case, we just use the SAP BW Report iView, stick the Bex query in it and its all done. But in this case....how am to go about this...?
Ive read about Mobile WebDynpro but want to know that....Mobile Web Dynpro is an oline approach, does it mean that user will be able to drill down from the Bex query??
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,

  • Error while running wad report in portal

    Hi,
when we try to run report from portal we get the following error
    " Label has specified invalid InfoObject = '0RPM_IHGU__0RPM_PFGU' "
On double clicking i get the following :
    Diagnosis
You have assigned an invalid attribute IOBJNM to the label. You cannot drag text to this InfoObject. The invalid value is 0RPM_IHGU__0RPM_PFGU
    System Response
    Procedure
Assign a valid InfoObject to the Web item in the Web Application Designer, or override the specification in the Web template by assigning a valid value assignment to the parameter IOBJNM. All characteristics and structures are valid that are available in the query from which the query view obtains its data.
    Procedure for System Administration
      Notification Number RSR_WWW 101
The link will be calling 1 business content web template.
It was working fine in Development system. We faced this problem after transporting to quality.
Please provide pointers to resolve this error.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rathy

    Hi,
The system is unable to identify the InfoObject which has been assigned to the Web Item,
Check if the InfoObject has been deactivated or is still available in the Query, the object seems to be a Navigational Attribute also check if anybody has changed the setting of the object to some thing else say display.  I get this message very often in development because of specifying wrong Structure Element to the IOBJNM
    Cheers.

  • Running Discoverer reports into portal using SSO portal login - help

    Hi,
I am trying to run disco reports into oracle portal using discoverer portlet providers -list of worksheet. What I want to achieve is as follows
    1) login to portal using SSO userid /pwd - Done
    2) Enable discoverer for SSO - Done
*3) Use discoverer list of worksheets to show reports into portal but want to filter the list of worksheet to currently logged in portal user. This so that users looged in only sees the reports to which they have access in discoverer - Need Help*
*4) Once user runs this report then I want to filter the discoverer data based on users login or portal group - Help*
Can someone please help with issue no 3/4 urgently.
    Mant thanks
    Ganesh

    Hi Michael,
Assuming I have created the private connections using CAPI I still have my doubts as follows
Do I have to then login as each portal user and add the list of worksheet portlet for each user and selecting
"check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
Considering we have 500+ users this will be huge cumbersom task for me.
Also when I tried to do this before loggin as each portal user when I logged in as second portal user I could see the list of worksheet portalet added by the first user which means I have to edit it but even that was not possible because it would not let me edit as only the page own whi created the portlet was allowed to edit (that is the first user)
    OR
Do you have to give portal user permission to edit the page so that they can log on themselve to add the list of worksheet portlet on the page by selecting their private connection and selecting
"check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
Finally I know someone has made it work using URL links and it works as follows
    1) Map the portal and disco user into a table
    2) Create disco private connections
    3) when portal user loggs in and click on "Show my discoverer report" it then runs a PL/SQL package which in turn identifies the private connection details and creates a URL out of it as follows
    [http://portal.ccm.ac.uk/discoverer/app/partialConnect?password=IRTIMUDV123_=qplus=VDUMITRI=browser_selected=connect=RELATIONAL=QPRIS=viewer]
clicking on this link open discoverer with private list of workbook/worksheet.
Please advise which way should I follow.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

    hi gopi,
u can store ur reports in the database using Discoverer user edition. these stored reports can then be viewed in the discoverer Viewer. here i am assuming that u have configured ur discoverer viewer correctly.
