Viewing time

Is there a way to determine what the total viewing time of a
captivate project is other than adding up the times on each
individual slide?

Hi there
Storyboard is still there. It's just no longer a tab. Instead, it's a drop-down.
If for some reason you don't see it (for example, it could be located in the upper right corner) try clicking Window > Toolbars > Workspace.

    Are you using a new 802.11ac Time Capsule - the "tall" one - and are you still using Mac OS X 10.6.8?
    You need OS X 10.7.5 "Lion" or later, or an iOS device, to configure an 802.11ac Time Capsule:

    How do I stretch (or compress) the viewing time of a video clip in Elements 12?

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? For now, assumed Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
    Typically, if you increase the length of a video clip, you will create slow motion. If you decrease the length of a video clip, you will create fast motion effect.
    You can right click the clip on the Timeline, select Time Stretch, and use the Time Stretch dialog's settings to change the video duration.

  • Viewing time in full screen mode

    Hello, I am using iMovie '11 (version 9.0.8) and would like to view time in full screen mode, and by time I mean hours: minutes: and seconds. Is it possible to view the playhead in the scrubber bar at full screen? I put a time code in my video, but I would like to see seconds, as well as minutes and hours. Is this possible?

    I'm having the same problem with an iMac! The bizarre thing is, if I open those same movie files using Quicktime, Full screen mode works fine. iTunes used to play the movies correctly in Full Screen mode but it doesn't anymore. I am using iTunes 8.0.2.
    Anybody have any ideas???

  • IWeb: changing the slideshow image scale and viewing time

    I moved my iWeb sites over to another server (iPage) and went through the sites to observe for inconsistencies and problems.  While doing this, I noted that my image galleries, when placed into the slides show mode, were very small on my iPad 2 and that they cycled through at a very high speed.  I thought this was odd and I wondered if anyone else has observed the same thing?  It sounds to me that an HTML under-the-hood modification may be required or a bug fix to the iWeb code is in order, to change the sideshow image scale and viewing time/slide value.  Comments?  [I suspect that Apple does not hold iWeb bug fixes at or near to the top of its software development to-does priority list.  Sounds like I need to change web authoring software.]

    Why do you think it's a bug?
    Anyway :
    Is there any reason photos in an album page display small on the iPad, but normally on an iMac? And videos on a movies page don't play on the iPad, but are OK on the iMac?
    I use my own show :

Then, using SET_ITEM_PROPERTY (see Forms Help), set to Enabled in the relevent part of the code on the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED triggers on your Insert and Update buttons. Similarly, disable on your Save button once the cnahges are saved etc.

  • Reference to view time rows in a "top10 report"

    I want to create a Top 10 ranking report. I managed to sort and use advance suppression to filter out rows which are not top 10. I also want to show a total of the top 10 items only.
    I tried using [1].sum which gives me all the row before filtering out the top 10. Then
    i tried using [1(1:10)].sum which i thought would give me the first 10 rows in view time. That did not work either as i gave me some other row total.
    How do I go about totaling the top 10 rows?
    Urgent! Please help!

    Yes but it's a pain in the but. This is because Hyperion reports does not give you the ability to control order of operations so your sum is happening before the suppression. What you have to do is create a calculated column and use IF logic to say if rank is <11 then grab the value, else put a zero. You can then use the sum of the calculated column to get the sum of your top 10. Once you get it working you can hide the columns you don't want to see. Just doing a top 10 isn't too bad. I had to create a top 50 with sub-totals for top 10, top 20, top 30, etc. It should have taken a short amount of time to create it took almost an entire day. That's when I fell out of love with Hyperion Reports.

  • Cp 8 created content not registering "View Time" in Cornerstone LMS

    Captivate 8 created content - The high level details are:
    Non branching module
    No quiz
    SCORM 1.2
    Status Representation set to Incomplete > Complete
    Success / Completion Criteria set to 100% slide views
    Published as a SCORM 1.2 compliant ZIP for our LMS
    The course runs through our LMS (Cornerstone) Ok and reports as complete / incomplete as appropriate but the "View Time" reports as 0
    This is the first time we have encountered this (have many other CP created courses of varying sizes and types)
    From scouring the web I suspect it may be a SCORM 1.2 /  browser issue, but cannot nail it down to that. Has anyone else encountered this and if so what was the fix?
    Many thanks
    Al P

    Hi - The project is published as a SWF
    SCORM Cloud reports no issues though I'm not sure what you mean by "Save Data on every slide"?

  • Get collaboration content (Discussion Board, Blog Posts, Wikki) last view time in SharePoint 2013

    Hi,
    How to get get collaboration content (Discussion Board, Blog Posts, Wikki) last view time in SharePoint 2013. I have tried using SPAudit setting but its not returning
    list item view time. I have enabled the SiteCollection Audit setting for "Opening or downloading documents,
    viewing items in lists, or viewing item properties". I have tried using below code.
    SPSite site = new SPSite(siteURL);
    SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb();
    SPList list = web.Lists[listName];
    SPListItem item = list.GetItemById(itemId);
    SPAudit audit = site.Audit;
    SPAuditQuery query = new SPAuditQuery(site);
    query.RestrictToListItem(item);
    query.AddEventRestriction(SPAuditEventType.View);
    SPAuditEntryCollection coll = audit.GetEntries(query);
    Is there any other way to get last view time in SharePoint
    2013?? or any changes in above code?
    Thanks.

    Hi Patil,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get the last view time of any entities in SharePoint 2013
    How did you do with using Site Collection Audit?
    Below are my testing:
    Click Settings->Site Settings
    Click Site collection audit settings under Site Collection Administration
    On the Audit Log Trimming section, select ‘Yes’ under ‘Automatically trim the audit log for this site?’
    On the Documents and Items section,  select ‘Opening or downloading documents, viewing items in lists, or viewing item properties’
    Click OK
    Click  Audit log reports, click Content viewing under Content Activity Reports
    Then select a location to save a report, click OK
    ‘Operation Completed Successfully’ displayed, and there is a link ‘click here to view the report’, click it.
    Open the report, there were two worksheets in the file. The first one was ‘Audit Data-Table’, it contained the viewing total times. The second one was ‘Report Data 1’, it provided the time when the item was viewed.
    Below is a screenshot about my report.
    Through checking the second worksheet, we can see which items were viewed and the viewed time. Please have a try.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Can't view time machine backups from old computer on new computer

    My macbook pro laptop recently died and I am trying to access its time machine backup data through Finder on a different computer.  In each one of my folders from different dates, however, the majority of the computer folders I would like to access (i.e. desktop, documents, dropbox, etc) have a little red "no" sign in the corner and prompt the following message when selected:
    "The folder “FolderName” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents"
    How can I gain permission to see its contents? As the former user, I know whatever passwords are restricting these files, but I don't know how/where to go to give permission to these folders. I've tried going into Disk Utility and changing the permissions there, but to no avail, despite successful changing of the "Sharing & Permissions" to "Read & Write" for all listed accounts.
    I'm currently trying to view this on an imac OSX 10.6.8. The dead MacBook pro ran OSX
    thanks

    Hi Kate,
    It sounds like you're running into an issue trying to recover that was on your previous Mac from a Time Machine backup. The article linked below will walk you through the process of recovering the data from your older Mac's Time Machine backup.
    OS X: How to migrate data from another Mac using Mountain Lion and earlier
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889
    Time Machine or other disk migration
    If Migration Assistant isn't running on the target (new) Mac, open Migration Assistant (located in /Applications/Utilities/), select "From another Mac, PC, Time Machine backup, or other disk" then click Continue.
    Connect your external hard drive if necessary.
    Type in your admin password when prompted and click OK.
    When the target Mac asks you for a migration method, select "From a Time Machine backup or other disk", then click Continue.
    Select the Drive, Time Machine backup, or Time Capsule. If you select Time Capsule you will be prompted to enter the Time Capsule password. After entering the password, select the Time Machine backup.
    Close all other applications on the source Mac, then click Continue to start the migration options.
    The source Mac will ask you to select items to migrate.
    You can customize your selection by clicking to open the disclosure triangles.
    After you click Continue, the Migration Assistant will begin to transfer files to the target Mac. The amount of time that it takes for migration to complete depends on the amount of data being transferred and the speed of the network.
    Note: To view documents that were migrated, choose Log Out from the Apple () menu, then login as the migrated user. The migrated documents will be located in the migrated user's home folder.
    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot set view time in Calendar via Applescript

    I use the AppleScript below in an application to capture the weekly calendar view. I would swear, under an OS release before 10.9.5, this would cause the the Calendar view to be set with the top line at 7am of the current day. Now, the Calendar view ignores the time setting. Can anyone suggest whether this is a bug and/or provide a workaround?
    TIA
    set daytoshow to (current date)
    set the time of daytoshow to 60 * 60 * 7
    tell application "Calendar"
      activate
      view calendar at daytoshow
      switch view to week view
      set the visible of the first window to true
    end tell

    Your wife could publish her MobileMe Calendar and then you could subscribe to it on your iPhone.

  • How do I view Time Machine from a different Mac?

    Using Pondini's excellent tutorial, I navigated to the Time Machine backups from an earlier Mac (on the same "Time Machine" partition of an external HDD.)
    First, I was at the level of Macintosh HD/Users, and I could see my earlier Mac's users, but they had the usual red 'No Entry' circle against most of the Home folders so I couldn't see what was in them.
    Next, I quit TM and went to the folder I actually wanted (Mail Downloads) in Finder and tried again. This time, though I had option-clicked for other TM backups, it showed me the folder for my current Mac's backup (there's only been one or two so far). When I used the TM timeline slider to go back to that same folder on my other Mac, TM refused to budge. It stayed on my current Mac's window.
    Basically, because of the permissions issue, I cannot view the data on my older Mac's TM backup using my current Mac, even though in theory I can option-click and get the window showing the earlier TM, and then select it and go into TM. I should point out that on the other Mac, I had a different account name and password - would this be the reason?

    Pondini wrote:
    There may be a way to get access to the backups, but it will take some finagling.
    It sounds like you got a new Mac, right?  And set it up from the old one, or its backups, and didn't use Setup Assistant when it first started up, but created that new user account first, then used MIgration Assistant.  If so, the pink box does explain exactly why you're in a pickle.
    Post back with details of how you got where you are, how many accounts are where, whether you've done new backups, etc.
    It's a bit more complicated than that. I had a new Mac which I set up in the usual way (via a previous Time Machine). Then I let the new Mac go out of my possession for far longer than I'd intended, and meanwhile used an older Mac, where I made many changes to things like iTunes, iPhoto, documents, games, videos, etc. For reasons of space - a HD half the size - and knowing I'd get my new Mac back again, I slimmed down that older Mac with fewer Users, trimming out a lot of older stuff, and a different main account.
    When I got the new Mac back, I obviously couldn't use TM to update it due to my 'slimming down' operation on the older Mac (I'd have updated many things but also lost a lot too). In the event, iTunes was updated with little difficulty, iPhoto was updated over the network, likewise all my documents and stuff. The main problem was getting my emails and downloads updated which wasn't at all straightforward. That's where TM backups on the recent (older) Mac came in - I'd use TM to fetch over the bits and pieces that were still missing on my less recent (but newer) Mac.
    On my old Mac I've been using for months, I only had 3 users, one of them Shared. On my new Mac I have 7 Users, but it was only my main (admin) account that mattered. I've actually found that I can access my old/recent Mac on the network using File Sharing rather than TM and have got what I want that way. Now I want to get the old Mac off my desk and get some space back. Once it's in a cupboard, I don't want to have to heave it out again in case I find I've forgotten an essential item. That's why I wanted to make sure I could access it via TM.
    The main account on my old Mac will be either 501 or 502. On my new Mac, those numbers belong to 1) what was once my main account on a G5 which I had to abandon due to logic board problems, and 2) a deleted account that doesn't exist anymore.

  • Bar View / Time View :  Bug or Feature?

    When switching between 'Bar' view and 'Time' view - there always results in a change in zoom level too.
    For example if I'm viewing a complete arrangement in Bar view and then switch over into Time view, I have to then zoom out to fit the whole arrangement in the arrange window.
    Seems to me like a bug. (small but nonetheless pesky!!).
    anyone else get this behaviour?

    Yes - I've gotten used to always setting up a cycle at my zoom spot before switching the view mode - this way the zoom will always catch up with my playhead when I hit play. I think it's a Bug - certainly not a feature...

  • Custom list - Calendar View - Time Interval

    Hi all,
    I have a custom list with "Project Start" and "Project End" columns. Then I have created a Calendar View. In the "Time Interval", I select "Project Start" for "Begin"
    and "Project End" for "End".
    In the programming code, how could I detect the column names that was chosen for "Begin" and "End" of the "Time Interval"? In this case, they are
     "Project Start" and "Project End".
    Thanks ^_^

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to see the calendar view begin and end time for the time interval.
    We can use the SharePoint Manager to view the internal name for the begin and end time for the time interval.
    Open SharePoint Manager 2013->click your site->click
    Lists->select your list name->click Views->select your calendar view name->click the
    Schema Xml to check the internal name for the time interval begin and end.
    We can download the SharePoint Manager in here:
