VirtualizingStackPanel scrollbar changes size while scrolling

Hi,
I have a page in a metro style app which is based off the grouped items page template. It uses a VirtualizingStackPanel as the items panel for the grouped items and a wrapgrid for the items in a group. The horizontal scrollbar thumb for the page changed
size while a user scrolls. This makes it difficult for a user with a mouse, but it does it with touch scrolling as well.
When a create another blank app with the grouped items page template is behaves the same way out of the box. Is there something I can do or is this a bug?

Can I stop the Finder icons from changing size while I use the Trackpad?

Very frustrating:
Often when I touch my trackpad and I'm in finder the icons/folders get very small! Have to go back to "Finder" then "View" amd "show view options" to reset them to 48x48.
Is there a way to lock the change of their sizes (but still use the trackpad for touch sensitive stuff)?

System Preferences>Trackpad. Uncheck Pinch to Open and Close.

New to flash, swf loaded while changing size

i'm trying to create a button that will replace the current
swf with another and i want the size to change between the various
sizes of each page. i'm currently using the following code in the
action inspector:
on(release){loadMovieNum("myfilename.swf",0);
i know there has to be a simple way to do this! a very
grateful thanks to anyone who tries to help!

You can't change size dynamically as it is defined by the
object embed tags.
You could use WMODE transparency which could help you fake it
tho not always best
solution to go with WMODE. It's a very buggy parameter.
WMODE will remove the background color so the flash movie
appear over the html and you
can see the HTML content trough the movie.
You could define some solid shape for the background on
bottom layer to make it look
like SWF background, than change it with the other loaded
movie making it appear as it
changed size while the over all flash size stats the same. As
said above - faking it.

Changing brush size while erasing with adjustment brush.

I have search around and have been unable to locate the short cut keys to increase and decrease the brush size while erasing. I use the bracket keys to change the brush size for the brush itself, but when I press the alt key to switch to the eraser, I can't figure out any short cut keys for changing the size of the eraser. It works to go over to the panel, but that is a pain. There must be a short cut for this. Thanks, Eric

Height of the scrollbar changes in AdvancedDataGrid

Hi Forum Members,
I am facing one issue with the length of the scrollbar of advanced datagrid in flex. I will explain you the scenario
- Advance datagrid has variable row heights. Each row can have different heights.
- When the event Scroll Up is fired, I have to modify the itemrenderer's height of the advance datagrid. For this, I am looping through the FirstVisibleItem's itemrenderer, till the end.
The problem I face here is, the moment I set the height to first visible item renderer, the advance datagrid's scrollbar height is re calculated and the length of the scrollbar changes. The scrollbar length changes mainly because, itemrenderes' height are set starting from the first Visible item.
How can I loop through all the item rendrers of the advance datagrid ? I did not see any parameter to access the itemrenderer at Index 0. I tried reading the same, via the method indexToItemRenderer() it was returning null, when index 0 item is out of visible area.
Any help in this area would be appreciated

You can use app builder to specify the banner height either as fixed size in pixels(between 1-1280pixels) or as a relative/percentage based size. If you defined as pixels, design your html/css to that exact size or 100% width/height if relative/percentage based size

Setting Paper Size while printing reports in character mode report

Hi
I am using developer suite 10g and am able to print the reports in char mode.
but i have a small problem, i am unable to select the paper size while printing
i select the parameters in a form and click on run report button
this button helps me to get the data print directly
but it takes the paper size as 12" height every time.
where as my requirement is for difftent sizes. like 6", 9" height
if i can select the size at runtime i can get my work done.
can any one help me in this. its very urgent.

Has anyone had issues with Firefox 13.1 while scrolling web pages

While scrolling most but not all internet page words get jumpy and blurred. This same thing happened on version 13. I had no problems with 12 or ones before it.

Fixed headers while scrolling works fine in bids but not when deployed to reportserver

Hi, I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 & deploying a report to reportserver with fixed headers while scrolling, this works fine in bids but not when deployed to reportserver. We are IE 9.

Since you have identified the 2 xml files are identical, according to my knowledge, there maybe a compatibility issue with IE 9 and SSRS 2008 R2, so I suggest that you could run the report in compatibility mode. Please make sure you have turned on Compatibility
View in Internet Explorer 9 by following steps:
When Internet Explorer recognizes that a webpage is not compatible, you will see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar. Try clicking it.
When Compatibility View is turned on, the button changes from an outline to a solid color when you view the page.

Could you please share with me what all you have done regarding get and set cursor. I am facing similar problem where
I have made a Z Table Control where i have given vertical and horizontal scrolling . Now when I scroll and try to select a row, then ZTABLE_CONTROL-CURRENT_LINE fetches line number not from the top, it fetches from the current top of ztablecontrol.
It is onlyy changing the value on scrolling, if i do not scroll table control then value is coming correct.
My requirement is whenever i select any row of ZTABLE CONTROL i need to get the curent line number from top. Please guide me what should i do.

Changing size of image in ACR mode

Have just bought Elements 12. When editing image in raw mode I cannot change size of image using ALT in combination with the mouse scroll button like I could in Elements 8. Clicking plus and minus signs is clumsy and slower

I believe that was removed in acr starting with the late 6.x or 7.x series and not sure why.
One way to zoom quicker with the zoom in (plus) is to drag a box on the image, although that doesn't work for zooming out (minus).
You can also right click on the image to get a menu with different zoom values (viewing percents).

Fonts changing size in deployed code

I'm stuck here. We have 2 identical deployed .exe progs on what should be identical laptops (ordered together, same product, fairly untouched) running windows 7. Somehow the fonts on one laptop are off (changed sizes, look like they might also have turned to bf, probably a different font) while on the other "identical" labtop things look ok. A quick check of the obvious possible suspects: same number and type of fonts appear to be installed, fonts setting appear the same, can't find anything different installed on the laptops that might explain the discrepancy like MS word or adobe software that might contain other fonts (but as I mentioned seems that the installed fonts are the same). Only difference in installed programs seem to be Matlab and Firefox installed on the laptop with the font problems. Would uninstalling these programs even make a difference?
Anyone have an idea what is going on here, and for things I might try?
Edit: uninstalling Matlab and Firefox in fact did not make any difference, FYI.

Did you develop the application yourself or is it from elsewhere?
A LabVIEW developer should never use default fonts on the front panel. Always use defined fonts.
(I wonder if it would help to add the current font entries to the application.ini file. I have not tried. Anyone?)
Font handing is currently one of the real weak points of LabVIEW, and there are plenty of ideas to make it better ( e.g. here)

SSRS Report Freezing row and column while scrolling Issue

I have created the report and i have freezed the row and column of the report while scrolling [To Freeze made the changes in tabulex property of the table "Keep Header visible while scrolling"]
meade the changes in the property [Advaned Mode]
Fixed Data= true
Keep Together=true
Keep with group =After
Report on new page=true
When ever i will scroll down my report my all column headder will remains same. after that if i scroll to right my first freeded column headder will not display [group column or freezed row headder].

Based on my research, freezing row and column headers are different in table and matrix.
In a table, if we want to freeze column header, we should make the changes in the first Static row group in Row Groups pane with Advanced Mode as you said. If we want to freeze row header, the table should have a group ahead, then we can enable “Repeat header
rows on each page” and “Keep header visible while scrolling” options in Row Headers in Tablix Properties dialog box.
In a matrix, if we want to freeze column header, we can enable “Repeat header columns on each page” and “Keep header visible while scrolling” options in Column Headers in Tablix Properties dialog box. If we want to freeze row header, we can enable “Repeat
header rows on each page” and “Keep header visible while scrolling” options in Row Headers in Tablix Properties dialog box.
