VIsio 2013 Activation Issue

Visio 2013 installed correctly, however when I try to activate all I get is the "Sorry we are having some  temporary server issues" Try again later. This has been going on for two days does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi,
Please try the following method:
In the registry editor (regedit.exe), you find HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet\WebServiceCache\AllUsers\office15client.microsoft.com
Delete all the subfolders of the ...\office15client.microsoft.com folder.
This should immediately fix the problem.
Note Please back up your registry before you modify.

  • Visio 2013 Activation

I bought Visio 2013 Professional from our company account. We also have 2 Project 2013 Standard Licenses on the same. When I navigate to my products in my account and try to download Visio 2013 on the desired
computer, the hyperlink redirects me to download / installation of Project (which has already been downloaded and the license is in use on another company computer).
I even tried downloading a trial version and then activating the trail but it doesn't seem to work. The error message I get when trying to do this is "The products we found in your account can't be used to activate Visio." It for some reason thinks
I do not own the product, which my account displays my product with a license key but the hyperlink doesn't allow me to download or install it because it redirects me to Project installation page.
Calling Microsoft Tech Support was the worst experience I have ever had. I was on call for over 2 hours being transferred from one department to another being told that it was "out of scope" for the person I was talking to, and then id eventually
get transferred back to the main menu.
We have spend SO much money on this product and cannot even use it. This is ridiculous! Also, talking about after sales customer service....i dont think it even exists.
I'd really appreciate help in resolving this issue ASAP. Its been two weeks and this is my last resort to get this sorted out so that we can finally use the product we paid so much money for.

    Hi,
I have definitely heard your frustration, and we're thinking about ways to troubleshoot this issue.
Would you like to share us your download page and link?  And, please try this link to download:

Then, based on the error message, please the 2 workaround.
    1. Don't activate the product using your account credentials. Just enter your product key manually to activate Office 2013 copy.
Open Control Panel and click on Programs and Features icon >Right Click on Microsoft Visio
     >Enter a Product Key > Type your 25-characters product key and click on Continue button.
    2. Use Phone activate

  • Visio 2013 export issue

I have a VISIO  professional 2013 diagram that I want to export to SharePoint designer 2013. I know that I have a SharePoint 2013 template since it has the features of 2013 like stages.
I am getting the error message "This doesn't seem to be a SharePoint 2010 Workflow diagram. We can't export the diagram unless it contains SharePoint 2010 Workflow Shapes. Also, we can't export if there are shapes from other workflow versions in the
    diagram.
Thus can you tell me what I can do to solve this issue?

    Hi Wendy,
As far as I known, there are some difference between SharePoint Workflow2010 and Workflow2013. We may not export the diagram unless it contains SharePoint 2010 Workflow Shapes.

  • Visio 2013 shapes issue

so this morning all the sudden all my shapes and jpegs (that are not app default) are showing up as a black X. I sent one of the docs to a subordinate and he was able to open and view doc just fine. I have reset my trust center settings and uninstalled and
reinstalled with no luck. Im not really sure what to do with it..
I would attach an image but apparently I cant do that yet.

    Hi,
Since it is normal when open in another PC, you can copy it back to original computer.
If it doesn’t work, you can try these general methods to check whether it can help.
Drag the drawing file to the Visio.exe file icon.
Double-click the drawing file in Windows Explorer
Open the temporary copy of the drawing file
Use the Microsoft Office Visio Viewer to open the drawing
Detect and repair errors on the hard disk

  • Visio Standard 2013 Activation

I have downloaded and installed the trial for Visio 2013 Standard (32 bit) on my new computer.  I'm ready to convert the trial license to the full license.  I chooses Account->Convert to Full->Enter Key and i enter a key.  I get the
green check mark indicating the key is valid.  It asks for administrator privileges to make changes to this computer, and i select yes.
The activation seems to work.  I get no message indicating success or failure.
The issue is that Visio Standard 2013 still says it's the trial version and says it will expire in "X" days.
I've tried all the typical troubleshooting tactics like uninstalling/reinstalling, rebooting, etc...  No change.
The option for "phone activation" isn't available from the application and i went through the dialogue the MS support web site looking for it, but never found a number.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • SharePoint Designer 2010 and Visio 2013 Issues

I currently have Visio 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2010 installed.  I have two problems that I'm experiencing and any help would be greatly appreciated.
    1. I'm able to export an already manually created workflow from SharePoint Designer 2010 as a .vwi file without a problem and am able to import the file into Visio Pro 2013.  I
was also able to export the file from Visio once changes were made.  However, when I go to import the file into SharePoint Designer I receive a message stating "This workflow cannot be imported because it was created in SharePoint Designer for a
different site, or the original workflow has been moved or deleted.  To move a workflow between sites, use Save as Template (.wsp file) instead of Visio workflow drawing."  I cannot figure out how to save it in the format the prompt is suggesting
as this is not available from the list of Save As options from Visio and when exporting from Visio the only format to do so is as a Visio Workflow Interchange (.vwi file).  When exporting from SharePoint Designer I’m only able to export as a .vwi file
and the Save As option is not available in SharePoint Designer.  Additionally, the file location where I exported from SharePoint and importing back into SharePoint is not changing, nor is the file name.
    2. If I create a workflow from scratch within Visio utilizing the SharePoint 2010 shapes, I'm about to export without a problem and save as a .vwi file.  I'm also able to import this workflow into SharePoint Designer, but the problem is the workflow
never actually shows up and I do not receive any errors.
Any help on either or both of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Use Visio 2010. You may be running into a compatibility issue between Visio 2013 and Designer 2010.

  • Can not activate Visio 2013 Pro 60 day Trial

    Hi
I am trying to activate a trial version of Visio 2013 Pro I downloaded from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/evalcenter/hh973399.aspx but I keep getting the error message show below. The clock on my laptop is correct and I have all the latest Microsoft updates. The activation key I was given before downloading the software
    ends in "Y2".
    I hope you can help
    CESkyBlue

    Hi,
This issue occurs because the trial version can only be installed on one computer. If you have installed it on an other machine, you can't install it on this machine then.
To work around this issue, you should use another Microsoft Account for this installation.

  • Thinapp Visio 2013 / Project 2013

    Hello,
Have somebody already expeariences with thinapping Visio 2013 and Project 2013 with Office 2013 nativly installed?
I tried it but im getting an error message during startup of the packet application.
Thanks a lot for your help.
    Regards

    Hi Apollo777
Ive sorted my issues with the thin app and generating licence issues. It was due to a mismatch in file versions in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform folder on the base image and equivilent in the thinapps(Visio and project were newer).
To capture visio/project I used a Win 7 64 Bit VM without office installed.
I  copied the media to the vm added my KMS details as per dankwax instructions and then did the pre scan.
I installed the app and then opened the registry.
I then found the below key and set it to 10 as the errors I was originally getting in my VDI Event log pointed to this when googled
The Office Software Protection Platform service also known as OSPPSVC.EXE is generally started on demand when a user has started Office and does not automatically shut down the service by default. You can set the following registry key and apply a timeout to solve that issue:
    Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform
    ValueName: InactivityShutdownDelay
    ValueType: DWORD
ValueData: The number in seconds, that the Office Software Protection Platform will stay running for, after the most recent activity. The windows default for this is 300 seconds.
After setting this key, simply restart the Office Software Protection Platform Service to use the new settings.
Once the key was entered I opened the app and made sure it was licenced.
I then did the post scan and build. Once complete
I then started up my Base image and went to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform folder
I then went into %ProgramFilesDir(x64)%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform in my Project 2013 build folder and found these files are newer then the ones on the base image.
I copied the newer files to the base image and also checked visio so all files were the same.
I shut down my base image and snapshotted it
I then recomposed my pool using the new base image and the licencing issue disappeared!

  • Sharepoint 2013 Active Directory Import- Manager field not updating

    Hi,
SharePoint 2013 Active directory import  -Manager field not updating
    Concern/Issue-
We are using SharePoint and configured the Active Directory Import .First import it seems everything is working fine and OOB Organization chart  built using User profile data is coming out right.
Now the user is moved from one Organization Unit to Another.
Now our Manager field is not Updating .There is change in AD manager attribute but not reflecting in the SharePoint User profile.
Manger field is mapped to "manager" attribute in SharePoint.
We tried removing the user and Re-Import using Incremental import but no luck.
    Thanks for help in advance
    Sachin

Moving a user from one OU to another in AD won't normally change the Manager attribute in AD.  You would need to edit the user's organization settings to change the manager value in AD.  I've also seen these changes not be picked up unless something
other than just the manager field in AD changing.  Try changing something like Office location and see if the manager change is picked up by AD Import.

  • App-V 5.0: Adding Visio 2013 and Project 2013 to a previously deployed virtual Office 2013

    Good morning.
I can successfully deploy Office 2013 via PowerShell and App-V v5.0 without difficulty.  I've read the document at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2915745/en-us and followed all instructions successfully.
My question is this:  If Office 2013 without Visio 2013 or Project 2013 is virtually deployed, how can those components be added later?
For instance, we may have 100 users that acquire a virtualized Office 2013 without Project or Visio.  We then may have 25 users that require a virtualized Office and Visio without Project and, perhaps, another 15 that require Office and Project without
    Visio.
Currently, when I attempt a second virtual deployment of one of these components, it removes Office 2013 making it inaccessible.
How can Project and/or Visio be deployed to an already existing virtually deployed Office 2013?
    Thanks very much.
    John

As a part of MDOP, you'll also have access to UE-V which will provide a mechanism of moving user preferences across the same applications from difference packages.
It will require planning, configuration and deployment, but will ensure you don't face the same issue in the future.

  • Visio 2013 Ribbon not visible

I have installed Visio Professional 2013 on a Windows 7 Pro Virtual  Machine (Apple OS 10.9.2 as the host, VMWare Fusion 4.1.4). Needless to say, all software is genuine :-).
When I open Visio, the  startup screen is simply dark grey. The various document template and customisation options are invisible, but hovering the mouse pointer over certain areas shows the help text relevant to the invisible document/option.
When I press Ctrl + N to open the document selected by default I see the image below where the work area renders correctly but the toolbars remain invisible.
Resizing the window shows some of the options, some of the time and they disappear erratically as you start working on the document. The options available under the 'File' option remain invisible. I've got Microsoft Word and Excel from my 2007 Enterprise
package still installed and they work without issue. I've tried uninstalling all Office software and reinstalling Visio only, but the ribbon remains erratic. Word and Excel 2007, after reinstallation, work without issue.
Any suggestions of what I could try to improve Visio's ribbon rendering? I had to revert to Word and Excel 2007 because the 2013 versions are affected by the same issue.
    g_p_k_

    Hi,
Do you the last sentence mean that the Other Office 2013 suits, such as Word, Excel also occurred the issue?
If it was, please do some tests:
Use Ctrl+F1 to show or hide the ribbon. Please check the dark grey area size if it will be changed
Click the dark grey area to check if some command can be used.
    My suggestion:
Start Visio in safe mode (Start > Run in Windows 7, and type
visio /safe and press Enter to start Visio 2013). If the ribbon can be displayed correctly, please try to check the add-ins.

  • Project Centre - Active Issues and Active Risk columns always show 0

    Hello,
We have created a number of Project Centre views to which we have added the "Active Risks" and "Active Issues" columns against projects. No matter how many active issues or risks a project has, these columns are always showing 0 for each
    and every project.
The reminders web-part on the PWA home page, and the Issues and Risks page (/PWA/IssuesAndRisks.aspx) correctly show these counts for a user, but Project Centre does not show the values correctly for projects.
We have not changed the values in the "Status" column of either list - they're still the default "(1) Active", "(2) Postponed" and "(3) Closed".
All issues and risks are correctly promoted to the reporting database on publish or when a list item is added/updated/deleted etc.
Our environment was upgraded from Project Server 2010 to Project Server 2013 and we're running service pack 1.
    If not now, when?

    Hello,
There fields don't actually work, if you want to see the active risks or active issues per projects in a summary row, create a report from the Reporting schema in the Project Web App database.

  • Visio 2013 & Equation Editor 3.0 = Blurred Equation

My OS is Windows 8.1 Update 1. My PowerPoint is 2013 with SP1. My Visio is 2013 with SP1.
I have a PowerPoint file. It contains a Visio object. The Visio object contains some drawings and some Equation Editor 3.0 objects. The Equation Editor 3.0 objects are very clear in the original PowerPoint file. But if I open the PowerPoint file, right-click
the Visio object and edit it by Visio 2013, go back to PowerPoint, then the Equation Editor 3.0 objects will become blurred! Please see this video for the demonstration:
    http://1drv.ms/1r2GanG
I downgraded only Visio from 2013 with SP1 to 2010. The problem was solved. So, the blurring problem could be a Visio 2013 bug. If it is, please fix this bug, Microsoft. Thanks.
The test PowerPoint files can be download here:
    Original PPT: http://1drv.ms/1r2Ge74
    Blurred PPT: http://1drv.ms/1r2Gjrf

    Hi,
Based on my tested in my environment (OS Windows 8.1 & Office 2013 SP1), I can reproduce your issue with your PowerPoint files. But I found that your Visio file was not created in Visio 2013, when I double click the Equation Editor 3.0 objects
in Visio, I got an error message "An error(1415) occurred during the action open object. Visio is unable to edit the MathType 6.0 Equation Object". Thus, I suppose your Equation Editor 3.0 objects have some compatibility issues with Visio 2013.
Then, I try to create a new  Equation Editor in Visio 2013, and insert to a PowerPoint 2013 file, it works well.
Please try the workaround to recreate them with Office 2013 suits and do not use the original file.
