Visual Composer iView

I have created an iView in Visual composer.  An input
form has several parameters, some of type Text and a
couple of type Date.
I have created a Callable Object for this iView.  When
I examine the input context parameter, I see that a
structure has been created with an element for each of
the parameters created in Visual Composer.  So that seems
fine.  But I also notice that the structure is flagged
as a List.  I want to uncheck this selection, but it is
disabled.
Is this by design, or is there a way to redefine the
structure in the callable object.
Thanks.

Hi Ankur,
Use this <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/44/429bbd709914bce10000000a155369/content.htm">link</a> to find pout how to modle VC-iViws for Guided Procedures.
Like it is made in the Example you have to define corresponding input and output parameter in the iViews.
Add your two iViews to a process and map your parameters.

    Hi,
I develop a application in Visual composer 7.0. I want to convert the input field in drop down for selecting the different values. I can change the same by selecting the particular input fields in design screen. But I not able to specify the values, Action for the drop down. Can someone explain how to add the Values/Action for functioning the drop down field in the visual composer iView?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
you need to configure the element to be a drop down list instead of an input field:

    Hi Babu,
You want to populate the Drop-Down list dynamically or based on input field value you need to populate a Drop-Down list.

  • Export to PDF option in Visual Composer iView

    Hi Expert,
I am using NW 7.0 .Want to develop a Visual Composer iView based on RFC function module to fetch the data from backend and publish in portal.
In that iView I want to give the Export to PDF option for the corresponding SAP data.
I am referring following link for the same.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/47fe4fef-0d01-0010-6f87-ed8ecb479123?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true
But in my case our Visual Composer and BI-JAVA server are different. In this document it is clearly mention that the given code (Formula) is applicable only for the case where both VC and BI-JAVA server are same.
    Specify this formula:
    "pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_a
    dd_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.b

    BI_COMMAND_TYPE=EXPORT&BI_COMMAND
    1-EXPORTFORMAT=PDF&BI_COMMAND_1-
    SHOW_EXPORT_DIALOG=X&BI_COMMAND_1-
    null="
NOTE: This URL is for the Web
    Analyzer PCD Location if Visual
Composer is on the same server as
    BI-JAVA.
Can someone explain how to modify the above formula to give the export to PDF option in my iView where Visual Composer and BI-JAVA are different server?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kundan

    Hi,
Sorry for late replay. Yes i tried complete URL .But i am getting error..
I am using ECC 6.O.Both VC and BI-JAVA are in same landscape. I am calling the FM  ZBAPI_FM_TEST_APPLICATION.

  • Showing Visual composer iviews within Web Page Composer (wpc)?

I am able to integrate KM iviews from the PCD into my web page composer pages, but when I try showing Flex 2 iviews generated by Visual Composer the flash runs on top of everything else on the page. The flash is simply put at page coordinates 0 x 0 whatever page region you try to put it in.
This is if iview isolation methold is set to embedded. If iview isolation method is set to URL then nothing is shown as the region is simply collapsed as if the content wasn't there.
I know there is a limitation to using Web Dynpro iviews with WPC pages, but the documentation says nothing about Visual Composer iviews.
    Tips?
    Henning Strand

Fixed by choosing fixed height for the iview (pcd config) and keeping isolation method set to URL.
This is as opposed to integrating KM iviews (document lists) where isolation method should be set to embedded and height kept to automatic.
    Cheers

  • Calling Visual Composer iview into WDA view???

    Hello all,
Can we call a visual composer iview into WDA view? if YES, can someone let me know how to do that.

    Hi Govindu,
    Thanks for the links.
    1. We have created a new iView by the option Copy and Paste as Dela link in customer specific folder under PCD for the iView which is stored in standard PCD>Visual Composer>Models folder.
    2. We can transport the content with export and import options but as per the SAP recommendation we should also need to transport the Localisation and Par files for the Model. But we are unable to find these. Could you please share your knowledge-------How to generate Localisation and Par files for a VC Model and collect these into a Portal transport.
    Thanks again.

  • Visual composer iView in a BI web template

    Hi all!
Is it possible to embedd an iView created with Visual composer to a web application created with BI web application designer? Can I use for example a hyperlink in such way that the content of the link is opened as default (user doesn't need to open the link to see the content of the visual composer iView)?

    Hi Rakesh,
Starting from SP15, new features are no longer a part of the service packs, but they are delivered as an Enhancement Pack (EhP). EhP1 is scheduled to be released for ramp up these days and it will have many very cool features. You can read about them here: [What's New in Visual Composer - Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0|What's New in Visual Composer - Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0]
The feature I talked about in my previous post is not listed there but it's there alright... I' going to post an article or a blog on how to use it in the coming days so stay tuned...

  • Visual Composer table horizontal scroll bar

is it possible to lock initial n columns from scroll in VC iview?
if possible the pls tell how?
    Thanks in advance
    Anupam

    Hi Anupam..
The below info may helps you .......
Visual Composer produces applications in a declarative form, thereby enabling completely code-free execution mode for multiple runtime environments. It provides full application lifecycle support by maintaining the connection between an application and its model throughout its lifecycle. Visual Composer is designed with an open architecture, which enables developers to extend its design-time environment and modeling language, as well as to integrate external data services.
As a result, Visual Composer modelers increase productivity by reducing their development effort time from weeks and months to days. Domain experts gain the means to express their requirements directly rather than conveying them to developers. This narrows the gap between application definition and implementation.
Starting with a blank canvas, the Visual Composer user draws the application in Visual Composer Storyboard (workspace), without writing a single line of code. Since no traditional programming skills are needed, business process experts can prototype, design and produce entire applications.
A typical workflow for creating, deploying and running an application using Visual Composer is:
    Create a model
Discover data services and add them to the model
Select necessary UI elements and add them to the model
Connect model elements to define the model logic and data flow
    Edit the layout
Arranging the UI elements and the controls of the application on forms and tables.
    Deploy the model
This step includes compilation, validation and deployment to a selected environment.
    Run the application
The application can run using different runtime environment (such as Adobe Flex and HTML)

  • Problems using Visual Composer with Web Dynpro runtime

I am currently trying to build a Visual Composer iView and we need to use the Web Dynpro runtime rather than Flash because it needs to work with a screen reader for users with sight problems.  Which is a pity because Flash works fine. But when I use Web Dynpro runtime I'm getting the following problems:
    a) When I define fields and pushbuttons in forms where Align Contents is set to Absolute, they do not appear at runtime in the positions in which I've placed them - all form elements are aligned vertically.  The only other options are to align all fields vertically or align all fields horizontally.  This lack of flexibility makes it rather difficult to create a good screen design; the only option seems to be to create a separate form for each set of differently aligned fields, which leads on to the next problem.  .
    b) When I define more than one form on a page, again at runtime the forms do not always appear in the positions in which I've placed them; the compiler seems to calculate how much space it needs to display the screen elements and then re-sizes and  re-positions the forms accordingly, ignoring what I've told it to do.
    c) Toolbar pushbuttons do not appear on forms (they do appear on tables).  Irritating, but at least I can still create pushbuttons on the form itself.
There are other issues, but the main problems is that it appears that when I use VC with Web Dynpro I cannot trust the editor layout at all and the only way I can build something that looks decent is to fiddle about with  field / form sizes and positions, checking every change on the output, until hopefully I get it looking ok.  Having to do this will dramatically increase the time taken to develop VC applications.  Has anyone else experienced these problems with VC and Web Dynpro?  Has anyone managed to overcome them?

Thanks, but neither of these describes the problems I've been having.  And they are misleading since they say that you can use VC with Web Dynpro only with Web Services ie not directly with BAPIs / RFCs, but using it with BAPIs / RFCs is one of the few things that works well in our system.
The most recent problem I've found is that if you make a form or table read-only it will stay read-only in Flash but the fields are editable in Web Dynpro.  The individual field disable option does work for Web Dynpro, but it turns the fields from black to a vey pale and almost invisible grey (this doesn't happen in Flash).  And you can't seem to change this.
It does seem to be a bit pathetic that input fields can't be made read only.  I've tried expression boxes, which are read-only anyway, but they appear in as pale a grey as the disabled input fields.  And although plain text fields can be added to tables, they are pretty useless since they can only hold a single value and so all the lines will contain the same value.
I guess I should resign myself to the fact that I am never going to be able to produce a decent screen using VC and Web Dynprp.

  • Visual Composer Exit Button

    Hi Experts,
In Portal My page contains 2 iviews.
      1) KM Document Iview.
      2) Visual Composer Iview.
In Visual Composer Iview there is a Table,Submit and Exit buttons are there.
When i click on the Exit button, the iview is getting closed. But the problem is, whenever we click on the Exit button, then it will close the entire window.
Could you tell me how to close entire window, whenever we click on the Exit button in the Visual Composer.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

    Hi,
Under Exit button proberties you can find System Action Radio button. Select System Action Radio button.
There  you can find some formulas to exit.
