Visual quality problems using Adobe Repoussé

I'm just starting to experiment with Adobe Repoussé and I like it, but the quality it is producing doesn't look good. Admittedly I've never used 3D before so I'm probably missing a render option somewhere, but the image below is the kind of quality I'm getting from Adobe Repoussé. The edges of the letterforms are jaggy and have a thin white halo where they overlap. Any tips?

Ah yes, just as I thought. I was missing the rendering step. Consulted the Help menu (that's what it's there for I guess, lol) and it's looking nice and clean now.

Rendering quality bad using Adobe Premiere elements.

I was told to start a new discussion about my problem: The Mpeg rendering have such bad quality in APEleements, and it trembls so much whenever there is movement in the vídeo. I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 and the quality for the same videos is so much better. I wanted to buy APElements also, but watching the APE rendered film, made me not want to buy it anymore. (My camera is a Sony HDR-XR550 with AVCHD quality.

2. Project Preset.....Are you setting the project preset manually or are you letting the project it do it automatically based on the properties of the first file that you
drag to the Timeline? See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General.
3. Properties of the source file(s).....You say they were videos recorded with Sony HDR-XR550/AVCHD video compression..... are they 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second or something else? What is the file extension?
4. What is your export selection?
Are your major problems in Edit area or Export area? Have you applied Field Options to your video if your camera is recording interlaced and not progressive video?
Let us start here and then decide what next.

Hello, ATR. Thank you, for replying my question.
1- My computer operating system is windows 8.1, but I also have a computer with Vista.
2- The project preset is chosen automatically, by the APE.
The project settings are already chosen(Icannot change the edit mode - that is HDV 10801 - and the timebase 25,00.
The video is 1440 horizontal and 1080 vertical. Display format is 25 fps.
3 - The file extesnsion is mts.
4- I am rendering the film to Mpeg, Pal DVD Widescreen.
5- My problem is that the rendered quality is very bad.
I tried to check if the video is interlaced or progressive, but I don't know how. I used the software bitrate
viewer, but it doesn't recognise mts video.

a. I am using Adobe Elements 11.
b. In the Elements MPEG rendered films there’s some distortion, flicker, blurriness and moving lines, mostly when there’s movement in the film.

2. The project is by default PAL-AVCHD-Full HD -1080i 25.

b. The AVCHD.mp4 has also problems, as MPeg2-1920x1080i.25. From those exports I tried, the M2t-H264-1440x1080i has clear vision, there is no problems. But all of these I can only watch in the PC, not in the TV, because of the reason I will explain next.
The intent is to watch in my TV (or other TVs) the family films I create. The problem is that they have to be MPEG 2 because my Hd tv media player is good but a little out of time and mostly it plays dvix and MPEG.
4. I reversed the Field Dominance, but there were no improvements.
Yes, the only problem I have is with the quality of the rendering.
5. I have used MediaInfo, but in the info it provides about the file there was nothing saying if it is interlaced or progressive video.

Problem Using Adobe Sample Video Player

I've placed some of my videos flv and f4v in the vod/media and webroot/vod folders with sample files provided. My files were checked with flvcheck and passed. When I load the embed code into a Dreamweaver HTML file and save the page to the webroot folder as instructed, the provided sample files play in my Firefox browser. However, when I edit the code to insert my files in strict accordance with the instructions concerning codecID and extension, I get the following message on the Browser "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested." What's the problem? My videos are less than 30 minutes in length and were encoded H.264 using Adobe Media Encoder and as I said passed the flvcheck.
I plan to subscribe to Adobe FMS on Amazon Web Services, but I'm not going to commit until I get some answers to the problems I've encountered. Thanks.

Submit problem using Adobe Designer 7.0 form & GroupWise email

We are designing an interactive form using Adobe Designer 7.0, and would like for other people in the organization to be able to fill in the form electronically then hit the "Submit by Email" to return the data.
For email, we are using Novell GroupWise.
Problems are occurring once the recipient of the form selects the "Send Data File" button. This action either causes Adobe to crash, or causes an error message, "Acrobat is unable to connect to your email program."
Can anyone help? Is anyone successfully using this function with GroupWise email?

I don't really have a solution for you - perhaps the following may be of use though:
Try reinstalling Designer 7 and ensure that at the point where you are asked about your e-mail client that you tell it that you are using GroupWise.
You may like to see if you can send an e-mail using the same method that we employ.
This is the script we use on the 'click' event of a button that sends an e-mail with the form attached (via GroupWise) to the e-mail address as specified ("[email protected]" in the example below).

Visual Quality Problems with final DVD

So, after importing photos from iPhoto into iMovie and then creating a slideshow, When we previewed the slideshow is was show some visual problems. Between transition the image had a "jaggyness" to it. I assumed it was only in the preview and when we would burn the slideshow from iDVD that wouold not be a problem. But it is. The finished iDVD disc when played has that same jaggyness. Is it a loss in quality from going from iphoto to imovie to idvd?? We're trying to finish this project and help would be useful.

You should judge the image quality on a TV.
BUT: iMovie 4-5 has a nasty, well-known, very old, non-fixed bug which destroys still images and renders them jaggy:

Is this the problem? If yes, you must re-import the still images and remember not to let iMovie render them.

Keywords problem using Adobe Bridge CS5

Hi,
I've a great many photos in numerous folders all found under one master folder.
Don't know if this is a flaw in the program or a fault on my part, but what I'm trying to do is keep my keyword list as I continue to add to it...regardless of when I happen to come back to Bridge...'and regardless of what photo I select.
Problem is, when I close out of Bridge and come back to a particular image, Bridge will show me only a portion of all the keywords I'd entered previously. My workaround involves browsing around to older images which happen to have all the keywords listed. (not meaning that all those keywords are applied to that photo, BUT, they're available). After doing so, the full list of keywords I've added in the past will now be available to any other image I select thereafter.
I hope I explained that correctly.
I always figured Adobe Bridge to be pretty intuitive and self explanatory but just now had a look at the CS5 Manual just to be sure I wasn't overlooking something. I couldn't find a solution.
Would appreciate any help in this regard.

When I say at their disposal, I mean keywords from which to be applied to each file. When you create a brand new file, from where would I get the keywords? I certainly don't expect to enter each one individually over and over again for every file. At their disposal in my book would mean: available as a keyword to be applied to the image.
In the Bridge book this would mean they should be present in the keyword list that shows in the keyword panel. Like Curt stated the keywords that are already saved to a file but are not persistent to the list show in italic, usually at the bottom of the list under 'other keywords'.
When you need to save keywords to files (whether brand new or old) you only have to select the files you want to have those certain keywords and put a checkmark in front of the keyword from the keyword panel (persistent or italic both work but for the italic to show you have to have files with those keywords in the folder as you have found out yourself by now) and let bridge finish its task to save the data to the files.
You can create your own keyword list on the go when working and use the menu or right mouse menu in the keyword panel to create a new keyword or nested sub keyword. If you have created this word it will stay present in this list (persistent) but you can also create or edit your list in a simple text editor. A main keyword starts at the beginning of the line, hit return for a new line and 1 x tab to create a sub keyword to nest in the parent. Further nesting in done by return and an extra tab for each nested keyword.
You can also export the current keyword list using the little menu icon top right to the keyword panel and choose export. Save it with a proper name and open this file in a text editor to get the idea of tabs and lines.
Sadly enough I don't know a way to export non persistent keywords (italic) but maybe the scripting has a solution for you, if you want to make it persistent to the list you have to do so one by one.
If you have created your own keyword tree it is also wise to every now and then back it up using the export function. You can also import a new list either to add to your existing words or to clear current and use only the new one.
btw, going back to what you mentioned originally in as far as bridge needing time to apply a keyword and finish its task...that doesn't even exist on my end. I'm running off 16 gigs of memory and have allotted a huge number for bridge to work with.
But still, multitasking is not a Bridge gem, if you start assigning keywords from the keywords panel after a few seconds the arrow starts rotating and you have to wait for it being finished, no matter what specs you have (and I use 32 GB RAM on a 12 core processor using SSD…) as soon as the first task starts the keywords that are getting applied need time to save to the files. If you start a new job before it is finished only half of the keywords will be saved.

Problem using Adobe Reader 8.0 on nw04

recently Adobe has released Reader version 8.0. It seems this is not supported by the Adobe Control provided by SAP. Is there an (ACF) update available for this?
I have tested with nw04 - SP15 and SP18. Not (yet) with nw04s. I only got this error after i manually removed the adobe control plugin.

Problem using Adobe flash

I have seen more people on the forums with this problem but i cant find the good answer
I'm using Windows 7 and firefox and when i download the new version of Adobe it says that the download is succesfull but when i try to open a site like youtube it says that i need to download a recent update of adobe flash and im sure i downloaded the latest update
Can i get some help it's really annoying if you cant go to youtube or other sites

Quality problems using Flip

I am filming with my Flipcamera. But when I edit in Premiere (9) it's loosing a lot of quality.
I tried downloading images directly from the Flip and via my computer. No diffrences.
I also edit the same movie in Windows Live Movie Maker and the quality is much better.

Which model of Flip are you using? HD or standard def?
When you set up your project, did you select the correct project settings for that video format? You'll know because, if you did, there will be no red lines above the clips on your timeline until you add effects to them. Is that the case in your project?
Which settings did you use for the video you output? Did you use the settings we recommend in the FAQs to the right of this forum?

Problems using Adobe Reader 10 in browsers

Ok, I'm running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2.
I read the announcement regarding Adobe not working in Safari's browser. But I'm having
this problem with every browser that I have tried.
I'm trying to use my bank's website, and in order to go further I need to read a page and accept it.
There is no way to download the PDF from them. It merely shows me a button that says I need to
download Adobe Reader, which I have. (I have adobe reader 10)
When I downloaded Adobe, I restarted my computer.
When I opened my browser, it still displayed that I needed to
download Adobe reader in order to continue. I have tried using it on
Firefox and Chrome.
Outside of the browser issue, Adobe works fine.

Section 3 doesn't talk about distribution. It mentions that you can't integrate it in to other software unless you have applied for and received the Adobe Reader Integration Key.

Font problems using Adobe CS and Microsoft Office

I am having problems with using my installed fonts in software like Adobe CS and Microsoft Office. The fonts do not appear in the font lists of these programs, while they do appear in TextEdit (and in the Font Book).
I already did the following:
- disabling/enabling the fonts
- entering the save mode (cleaning the cache)
- cleaning the cache using a third party program (cannot recall the name)
- reinstalling OS X
Can somebody help me?

A little update.
Often when I boot my iMac and open for example Adobe Illustrator not every font (original and newly installed) show up in program's font list, but sometimes all fonts do appear.
So this is a very strange phenomenon.
Problem is that I am working on a design for which I need to use custom fonts, but I can't. I'm stuck!
So please, can anybody help me?

Problems using Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard

Hello,
We have installed our creative suite 6 design standard on a PC with Windows 7.
From the beginning, we have had different types of problems :
1. Operating problems : our programs stop suddenly without any explanation. Example on Indesign : "Indesign a cessé de fonctionner. Un problème a fait que le programme a cessé de fonctionner correctement. Windows va fermer ce programme et vous indiquer si une solution est possible". (no solution)
2. Font problems : we don't have access anymore to certain fonts we had on our previous versions like creative suite 1. We are greatly penalized, et this prevents us from working again on old works. Example of missing font : ITC New Baskerville.
3. We have regular conflicts batween Adobe X Pro and Adobe Acrobat Reader (after updates ?). Regularly we have to remove one program or the other.
We have thought it might be installation problems, but we reinstall all the suite several times without any success.
Could you please tell us what you think, and what are your solutions,

You have not provided any exact system information or other details like crash logs, so for the most part we can't tell you anything. Crashes are not random, there is always a reason. It may just not be obvious. Fonts can simply be backed up and reinstalled or you buy them if you need them. This is basic operating system stuff.

Problem using Adobe InDesign CS5 to prepare a PDF to upload to Magcloud:

I’m using the 30-day trial version of Adobe InDesign CS5.
I’ve downloaded the Magcloud template, created a document using InDesign CS5, exported it to PDF and uploaded it to Magcloud. Magcloud rejects my upload, saying it has the wrong number of pages. For example, if I create a 24-page document in InDesign, Magcloud thinks it has only 13 pages – front and back covers, plus 11 two-page spreads.
Details, please, on how to export from InDesign CS5 so that Magcloud will see the same number of pages that InDesign does.

Sounds like you exported to PDF (Interactive) instead of choosing PDF (Print) from the dropdown or using one of the Print presets from File > Adobe PDF Presets...

Problems using Adobe Application Manager

I'm having problems signing in with Adobe Application Manager. Was working fine until yesterday, now it says it can't contact Adobe. I went through the help page (was able to access the adobe server site, etc.) but I was not able to resolve the issue. I am behind a proxy, however I've been able to connect every time until now. What other actions can I take to resolve this issue?

Funny enough, I had to restart my computer for a separte reason (which I should have done yesterday) and when I logged back in something must have gotten reset as the AAM is now working. As to your questions, I don't have the ext to the earlier error, only that it said couldn't connect to adobe. Also I have Version 7.0.0.233 (7.0.0.233) for reference.

Problems using Adobe Captivate 8

I have installed the trial version of Adobe Captivate 8 and when I open the program the following error appears:
"Invalid path for document_root [C:\\Users\M]: (No such file or directory). Make sure that path is either absolute, or it is relative to civetweb executable."
Then I press Ok and can work with Captivate, but when I try to preview the project, it doesn't seem ok, for example, the background becomes only a little square on the left top of the screen.
Note: I have windows 8.1.

Try creating a couple of special folders at the root level of your C drive that you can use for these Default Locations
Have one for the Publish folder at C:\_Captivate_Publish_Folder and another one for the Project Cache at C:\_Captivate_Cache_Folder (the underscore in front of the folder name just means it will be sorted to the top of all folders in your C drive and this will make it easier to find.
Once you have created the folders, click the Browse buttons beside the Publish At and Project Cache fields in Captivate Preferences and select these folders as the default locations.
