Vnc console not running on Oracle VM 3.1.1

Dear All,
I try to lunch ovm console with a new Virtual Machine but not work.
I installed Oracle VM Manager on Oracle Linux 5.
- Installed tightvnc package on VM Manager host: tightvnc-java-1.3.9-4.noarch.rpm
- Window 7 as computer client using Java 1.6 with browser version 16.0.2
Window guest (2008R2) is shown status running fine but the its Lunch Console is not running and view.
Problem: When file "ovm_rasproxy-ws.jnlp" pop-up, I click OK then type password console password, click OK button, vnc not running and disappear forever.
Please kindly give advice for this.

Now I have installed java jdk 1.6u37 and Java Control Panel to see message when pop-ups.
Now I have 2 virtual machines:
1. virtual machine created from template that converted from physical machine (window 2008R2)
2. virtual machine create isofile (Window 2008R2 iso)
After I edit java setting and now can see all message as below:
Note: both virtual machines have 2 java console pop-up messages

I have installed Oracle XE on Linux machine. Database is running listener is up.
But when I try to access database console using this http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex
The error message i get is "Operation failed. root is not a member of 'dba' group.
Oracle installation have created oracle user itself. How could i get through this error?

Why does my console NOT run as a storage node

help!
I created a minimal console script, for testing, to run as a storage node, with my own classes in the classpath.
Unfortunately, it does not act as a storage node, even though I patterned it after the console script in the coherence/bin directory.
The failure symptom is that my application, run on a non-storage-enabled jvm, fails with "storage is not configured."
If instead of the console, I run as a storage node a jvm, with the same command line options, except with my own mainline that loops dumping the cache, the application in the other jvm works.
The console does work as a client node, and is able to use my custom classes from the classpath. Hence it is participating in the cluster (the whole cluster runs on my PC).
I assume there is something simple wrong here, but it escapes me.

The CacheFactory console does not automatically join all cache services. If you join the cache-service that your application is using from the console, e.g.:

EM is not running for Oracle 10.2.0.5 on windows 2008 R2

Recently, I installed oracle 10.2.0.4 on Windows 2008 R2 server followed by 10.2.0.5 patchset and 8350262 patch (to solve the problem of the expired certificate).
After the installation, I created listener and database. The EM was working fine for few hours but not running after that. Listener was running all the times.
I tried to to execute "emctl stop dbconsole" and "emctl start dbconsole".
The EM worked again. However, it down again after few hours. I have repeated this process many times but still cannot resolve the this.
I checked the logfiles in in the sysman/log. Herewith the output.

Why are you bothering to install a de-supported version of Oracle? 10.2 is history and even 11.2 is at terminal release. The bookies are taking money on when 12c will be released.

VNC software not running after install of Leopard

After I installed Leopard last week Chicken of VNC is not connecting to remoter site. any other people having this problem? Chicken says it is trying to use port 5901. I know before it was using 5900. Is there a place I can change this?

The problem is actually that Leopard's VNC server only supports 32 bit color. If your client tries to request a lower resolution the connection will fail. It doesn't work on my pocket pc VNC client either.
Chicken of the VNC still works if you enable 'let server decide' on the resolution. I agree though, this seems like a downgrade to me.

I have a problem when try to install Oracle8i Release 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition on RedHat Linux 7.3. After I do the pre-installation tasks, i enter the command (runs as the oracle user):
$ /tmp/Disk1/runInstaller
I wait for the one minute and then nothing is happen. I don't understand the reason why the Oracle Universal Installer can't not display! Please tell me all reasons may be!

Sorry the Oracle version should be 1.7 not 1.1.7. I downloaded it from the web site. The JRE I downloaded is jre 1.18 because the installer asked for this version.

Some Schedule jobs are not running in Oracle 10g

i have total of 8 Schedules jobs in Oracle 10g test database which were not in sync with prod database . So i re-created all of them again and then enbled them . but some 4 of them didnt ran on their NEXT_RUN_DATE . Showing NULL on LAST_START_DATE and LAST_RUN_DURATION . How to make them Run

Windows 10 Tech Preview Will Not Run On Oracle VM - Newest Build 2015

I've been quite pumped to install the new Tech Preview for W10 on my VB.
I DL'ed the new ISO and tried to boot it up but it game me this error:
Failed to open the optical disk file.
Could not get the storage format of the medium (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED).

The version I'm trying to run the machine off on is Windows 8.1 x64 / Other Windows x64.
I gave it 4096MB of RAM, with 256MB of VRAM allocated to it. 3D Acceleration is also enabled. I'm not too sure if this is an Oracle VM problem, or an ISO problem. Any suggestions?

After some further research, I found that I need to enable virtualization and hyperthreading. I downloaded Speccy and determined that my PC is capable of virtualization, and it was already enabled; however, hyperthreading is not supported. I have been hearing

I had an Acer Aspire laptop running Win 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit. I dual booted with Win 10 TP. That's starting from build 9841 to 9926. I dual booted twice and I had no problem doing it.

OEM Backups not running after Oracle 10.2.0.4 upgrade

Hi All,
I have completely an upgrade from Oracle 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and then added the patch set 8708078 to fix a problem we were having with some application objects. By completing the upgrade and applying the patch set the issue with the application objects has been resolved, but now we have an issue with the backups.
I create a back up using the schedule custom backup through the maintenance tab in Enterprise Manager and the script is created but when it is submitted the pre backup stage is successful but then the back up stage just sits and cycles and the message is "Waiting for output". Nothing else happens and the jobs just sits there.
Does anyone have any knowledge of problems with the 10.2.0.4 upgrade or the 8708078 patch set that would cause this issue?

You could try to run the backup task (as it is defined in EM) outside EM in command line mode. So you can see, is it a native RMAN problem or a problem with the EM job system.

OSB sbconsole "Test Console" service is not running

Hi all,
A problem in the osb domain sbconsole I am facing during testing of proxy/business services. When clicking on the "Launch Test Console" icon I got following error:
Error Accessing Test Configuration
"Test Console" service is not running. Contact administrator to start this service.
I have checked the test-console flag as true in ALSBdebug.xml file in all admin and managed servers. Still I am not able to test the service through sbconsole. All the servers are in OK state

Cluster address should be comma-separated address of managed servers. For e.g. - If managed_server1 is listening on host:8011 and managed_server2 is listening on host:8013 then cluster address should be like host:8011,host:8013

I cloned e-Business suite application/db to another server.After cloned Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g is not running. I've been noticing following messages during start/stop/status.

This is expected behavious. It is because Enterprise Manager cannot run with the new server name. You can either go through loads to change the config files or simply drop and recreate the console.
