Volume Licensing media

I have recived my volume licenses for Acrobat 8 Profrssional. I'm based in Bermuda and will not receive my software media until April 4th. I do not believe my purchasing department ordered (ESD)Electronic Software Delivery.
My question is If I download and install the trial version can I activate it with my volume licenses?
Thanks for your assistance.

I don't know if this telephone number will work from Bermuda, but Adobe provides free support for install issues in the US

  • Rebuilding OEM device with Volume License image

    Hello,
I built a Windows 8 Pro device with Volume License media to allow people in the organisation to evaluate but now I want to return this to its original state so it can be given to charity.
I have tried rebuilding this using a default media VL USB stick but it doesn't seem to be able to pick up the OEM product key that I assume is stored in the BIOS.
Do I need to rebuild this device using OEM/Retail media for it to detect the built in key or is there another way to do this using the VL media I already have?
    Many thanks,
    Tony

Ahh OK that makes sense.  Thanks for clearing that up guys.
I am sure a recovery partition was there before I rebuilt it but in theory then, does this mean if I rebuilt this using OEM or Retail media of the same edition it would pick up the product key or is it coded to only recognise OEM media from the
    actual manufacturer of the hardware?
I know with Windows 7 you can happily use an OEM key with retail media and vice versa as long as the edition is the same - does anyone know if this is the case with Windows 8?
It would be good to know for future reference.

  • Windows 8 Pro volume license version does not have "Add Features" therefore cannot install media center.

As the title describes, Windows 8 Pro installed from the Volume License ISO does not have the Add Features wizard, and as such it appears to be impossible to install the Windows Media Pack.
I've consulted with Live Chat support who cannot provide an answer to this, they simply said it should be done through "Add Features" which does not exist.
A similar thread was answered by saying install from a Retail disc and upgrade. However this is hardly a solution, paying for an additional Windows license when you already have a volume license.
Can anyone, preferably MSFT, provide a proper answer on how Windows Media Center can be install on Windows 8 Pro which is volume licensed. If it can't be done can some reason or justification be given as to why it can't be done.
Please see previous thread here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itproinstall/thread/d63b46e5-c542-4dbe-be41-c46cda440723

I would like to pile on here and say "ditto" to all of the above. you have a licensed product and they don't even support the MSFT version of a DVD player. Nah, no one EVER has to play a older technology in corporate America due to training or presentation
(A funny clip of a movie before a ppt)? Nah.
But, I'd like to add a warning to MSFT senior management.  I know you want to force everyone to use YOUR cloud just like apple did to theirs.  Wont' work.  Some of us refuse to sign onto a web site and let you track all of our moves... some
distrust the cloud (Target anyone?) etc etc.  All good points, now for the out of the park.  The Harvard Business Review some years ago did a study on long term profitability of a company (you have to have a profit to stay in business).  The
most highly correlated factor: Customer Sat.  Sorry, but I don't see customer sat in all of these entries.
IF you made your product easier to use and NOT have to have a IT support person to move from a small workgroup to a server configuration (and PS, what in the heck to you get from a workgroup?  File Replication, Remote access to outlook files as one
does via exchange?  Really, every computer is in a workgoup any more, so there is ZERO value add in a workgroup on a MSFDT platform, however there is great value, even with a couple of users, in an Exchange/Windows Server Platform -- so why so you make
it so damned hard to implement one... Difficult for one to implement in an SMB environment (so lets just kill SBS) but growth from small business is where your growth is... just like IBM did before you, MSFT only appears to be listening to Fortune 500 it execs,
but I really digressed)  This is just one more pain in the butt to use MSFT in the small environment.  So what is the rational business decision?  Yes one can pick MSFT but with Zero value add in the workgroup, why not them other guys (who may
be apple, or android or even some Linux platforms)
SO you want to continue to mil the cash cow, listen to your forums.
One more note on the STORE.  Lets say you do pick a competitive product in the windows store.  Have them been verified they don't contain malware like MSFT products?  I believe the answer here is "NO"  So this adds another layer of complexity
and security risk on the corporate problem of "How do I play a DVD on my laptop"  I am sure none of you has ever played a movie on your laptop flying for business?
So, MSFT management, let me paraphrase the posts above:  "WHY don't you support our business needs"
And remember, people buy to have their needs met.....  (IBM Planned Sales Call)
If you don't meet small business needs, someone will... and that too is fraught with risk.
(For example of how to make computers easy to use in SMB I reference SBS, the Systems Management Interface tool in IBM Unix, or best of all, the AS/400.... something even Ellison couldn't kill, though he tried.

  • Medias for Adobe CS3 Design Standard/Premium (Windows) Volume License

    Hello,
We have volume licenses for CS3 Design Standard /Design Premium but no media kit for Windows, unfortunately. All attempts at finding this or buying it have failed. I've spoken direct to Adobe and the official solution is to upgrade to CS6 or Adobe CC! Which really isn't helpful. I've tried upgrading from the trial version of Design Std but that doesn't work.
    Thanks

I'm a bit confused...I saw your note above about not working with volume license keys, but I disregarded it out of optimism because it doesn't match my experience.
For our volume licenses, we get our our downloads via ESD (since CS3), and I was under the strong impression they were the same as the trial media (I believe the filenames and download URLs are actually the same?), but I guess I have not verified.
I wonder if the more likely case is that your volume license code is invalid or has a typo or something? On the other hand, you guys seem to have two data points (Martin and James) to my one marginal one ("strong impression"), so there's that. And I guess my experience with this is Macintosh based but it should not be platform-specific.
    Still.
I guess another possibility is to make sure that you're downloading the Design Standard installer instead of the installer for the individual products or perhaps the wrong suite package? I dunno.
I remain skeptical, but I realize there's not a lot of data to back up my skepticism.

  • Missing physical media and volume license number

Recently, we had a set of installer/content disks, case, and volume license number disappear. My employer, an art school, legally purchased a volume license giving us 107 licenses for Design Premium Creative Suite 3 for official school use.
We are fairly certain that the physical media and license serial number in question were all stolen from us, and we have no clue what is presently being done with the whole lot. We fear that the unknown individuals will use our volume license serial number to exceed the number of installations we are legally allowed.
We have already found relevant information regarding having the physical media replaced. We want to know what we must do as a school to continue using the software we legally purchased, whether it means being issued a new license serial number or not. Will we suddenly find ourselves unable to install and/or update CS3 around campus? Are we required to buy a new volume license?

  • Choosing Office 2013 volume licensing plan ... or going retail ... or subscription ... or hunting for 2010 ... what a headache ...

Our company currently runs an office software equivalent comparable to Office 2003 level. I was researching options (licensing!) for stepping up our office to real Microsoft Office product ... and got stuck with that idea ... totally confused at this point.
Am I missing something or the cheapest SMB volume licensing option for MS Office 2013 (Standard, no Access component) is like twice as expensive as the retail equivalent? Why is that so? It makes no sense to me at all.
I can find retail box of Office 2013 Home and Business for around $190 while the cheapest Open License for similar equivalent seems to be priced at $369 (what!?) ... and that is even without Software Assurance?
Makes it kinda hard to convince management about benefits of VL program over retail ... especially since we are not a Volume Licensed customer (yet) and this purchase *might* make it worth becoming one (does it?).
On top of that I can't even make decision if we should really go with Office 2013 after reading about live/online account requirement for activation, and here a question how does it work in volume licensing version? I assume it will be a great pain with
installs from retail media and activation, but VL should have some tools or workarounds for that, no? I read that Office 2010 didn't have such problems and am sad I didn't push towards it when it was still available on retail market.
Maybe we should go with 2013 subscription for first year and see how that works for us ...
One thing for sure, I've been digging around this subject for weeks and my headache doesn't want to go away.
    Open to suggestions.

    anybody, any insights?
Pls, also note that I run a one person IT department for this company, so all the dirty work (installs) will be done by me, hence my question. I can do deployments via GPO, but would like to know about activation gotchas (MS live accounts) for Office 2013,
is that true for retail licenses?
As per Volume Licensing, am I looking right and cheapest 1 computer Office 2013 open license stands for like $369? why is i so expensive in volume licensing plans? I doubt our management approves it this way ... which probably means retail licensing for
me and a great headache with activations over a sneaker net ... times 30 ...

  • Need volume license download for Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Not available in downloads portal.

We have a volume license for Acrobat 9 professional, and I can see the key in my portal. We, however, do not have a disk for this license, nor is a download available in the downloads portal.
Since we have purchased this software, it would be nice to install it on our computer, especially since we have been recently upgrading hardware.
    Thank you.

What did you do with the original media at the time of the volume license purchase? If it was a download, then where did you save it (and best backup the software)? There is a download for the regular AA9 distribution that can probably be found by searching this forum. It is a bit tricky to download, but can be done last I checked. Try http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1061905.

  • Product key for volume license does not work

    Hi,
My organization has a MS volume license and I want to install MS Office 2010 Standard SP1 32bit on another computer. I downloaded the software, installed it and then went as instructed to the start menu to launch the program and received a window asking
to enter a Product Key. I enter the key and then receive a message saying it is not a valid office product key. MS phone help confirmed that it is a valid key but then said they would need to charge over $200 to resolve the problem, more than the cost a new
    license.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

MS Office Standard is a Volume Licensing product - VL products do NOT prompt for a product key.
You can't download VL products from the public internet - only download via the VL customer logon portal (VLSC).
You can't convert a Retail Office product into a VL product.
You will need to obtain the installation source files/media/disc, from the licensing contact/controller in your organisation. (who will obtain it from the VLSC)
If you are the VLSC licensing contact/controller for your organisation, you have downloaded the wrong product.

  • Product keys to convert evaluation version of SQL Server Std 2014 to their SQL Server Standard 2014 Volume License

Customer was asked for a product key to convert      evaluation version of SQL Server Std 2014 to their SQL Server Standard      2014
    Volume License.
He cannot download the ISO as he is on a sterile server      on his client’s site.

You may also try and look for PID in to DefaultSetup.ini file in the installation media, which can be found by going to the root folder of the SQL Server set media
on the server or on the DVD, then look for this file in either the x64 or x86 folder.

  • Converting Standard 2012 r2 open volume license to Standard 2008 r2 sp1 open volume license

I have 2 Standard 2012 r2 open volume license's.  I wish to convert them to Standard 2008 r2 sp1.  I am presently logining into Microsoft Licensing Service Center and have pulled the product key for the 2008 r2 sp1 server.  The license ID
is my open volume license ID.  I know I put this into the product number upon installtion.  What needs to be done next for activation.

    Hi
If you have Windows Server 2012 Standard edition, you will have the right to downgrade your bits to any prior version of Enterprise,Standard or Essentials editions.
    MS Article;
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/D/B/4DB352D1-C610-466A-9AAF-EEF4F4CFFF27/WS2012_Licensing-Pricing_FAQ.pdf
Follow these steps to downgrade to a previous version of Windows Server Software
1.Obtain genuine Windows media and corresponding product key for the version of Windows that is eligible for downgrade.
The media should come from a prior legally licenced version from the OEM or Retail channels.
End users WHO are licensed separately through Microsoft Volume Licensing (VL) may provide their VL media and key to a system builder to facilitate the downgrade on their own systems.
2.Insert the downgrade-eligible version of Windows media in the CD drive and follow the installation instructions.
    3.Type the product key.
If the software was previously activated, you will not able to activate it online,In this case.the appropriate local Activation Support phone number will be displayed.Call the number and explain the circumstances. When it is determined that end user has an
eligible Windows licence, the customer service representative will provide a single-use activation code to activate the software. Please note that Microssoft does not provide a full product key in this scenario.
    4.Activate the software.

  • Volume Licenses

    Hello,
I'm trying to get a better understanding on Volume Licenses in relation to Premiere Pro CS5.5 because I got very confused with your website.
    - How much would it cost to purchase the software plus licensing? How much would each extra license cost?
    - With the one license can I still us it on two computers (not simultaneously)?
    - How and where on your website can I purchase this? If I go through http://volumelicensing.adobe.com/DRHM/store and change the quantity, that is still individual copies of the software not one copy with multiple licenses, is that correct?
    - On the website it says Buy CS5.5 now and get CS6 at no additional cost. Offer ends May 6, 2012, Does this apply for Volume licenses?
Any information you can give me would greatly help.
    Thank you

You don't need a volume license to install on just 2 machines. That's covered in any standard retail license with 2 activations. Volume licenses only make sense if you need more than 5 or 10 licenses, respectively, depending on the product. When going that route, different serialization modes and hadling of the licenses can be used. In contrast to retail licenses, however, 1 license counts as 1 and you only get what you pay for - buy ten seats, get ten seats. Volume licenses are generally handled through reselelrs or staff, as depending on teh number of seats and licensing model different discounts apply. You don't get any more info on that unless you really get in touch with them, even if you can make a preliminary selection via the website. That also includes the number of install media, download access and possible support plans. Generally nobody buys a volume license for 100 seats and orders 100 install DVDs, though, since the stuff would be deployed fromk a server. Also volume licenses always have access to the latest version just like subscription customers, so no special provisions are needed for CS6.

  • Volume Licenses CS6 - CC Team only?

My company currently users Volume Licensing for CS6.
If we are forced into this CC subscription model, will we be able to take advantage of the $30-per-year licenses for the first year for those volume licenses for as many seats as we own? Or will we be forced into Team licensing?
Here's the deal: WE REFUSE TO PAY $70 A MONTH PER SEAT for the "privilege" of having centralized license management. We don't need your damn cloud storage! We have file servers. We have workflow in place. We have collaboration procedures in place.
And does Adobe really think that having centralized licensing and deployment is a feature we should pay MORE for? They NEVER charged us for their Enterprise Deployment Tools before. In fact, we get DISCOUNTS for buying more seats.
But now we are being forced to pay almost 50% more for centrally managed licensing, and worst case, over 100% more if we can't get the $30/mo. price. We won't do that. If we have to, if we are forced to, if our customers upgrade to CC, and MAKE us have to purchase subscriptions, we will purchase single seats, and create as many accounts as we have seats, and put up with the management nightmare of maintaining them all. It's not worth an extra $20 a month per seat, coming out to hundreds of dollars extra a month that they want us to pay for centralized management.
Adobe, if you are listening: We hate you. We REALLY REALLY hate you. And mark my words: If you proceed with this insanity, we will do everything in our power to promote alternatives to Adobe, and encourage our customers to STAY WITH CS6. We'll buy f-ing Quark if we have to. We'll setup an automation server to back-save IDML so we don't have to purchase more than a single copy of InDesign CC. And we are not alone. You believe you are immune from market forces, from the grass roots, from the coordination that social media now gives us? Keep going down this path, and we will make you very very sorry you did this.
It's not too late Adobe. Admit your error in judgment, and we'll all just forget this ever happened. Proceed down this path, and feel our wrath taken out on on your bottom line.

    Hi Kartikay,
The problem was that I had a personal free Adobe ID logged in to the Desktop app. I removed that ID, got the original invitation deleted and got another invite which then worked when I signed in with my corporate ID. I have experienced issues using Chrome as my browser though, which may not have helped. Chrome displays blank pages when clicking links from Invitation emails and also from within the desktop app.
I'm on Windows 7 running the most up to date version of Chrome.

  • Volume License Keys

I was told by Adobe support I needed to download the media for Windows CS6 from the licensing portal for volume activation to work. I have done so and it will still not accept a keycode. I have no problems with the Mac version.

Not necessarily. This depends on what volume licensing program you actually are on. Anyway, contact your volume license support. this is nothing anyone here can handle.
