Solution: don't use a runtime expression for the id attribute.
The id attribute is used to declare
- an attribute in scope
- a scriptlet variable on the page
These are only available for the duration of the <logic:iterate> tag
The "id" is only used in your programming. You don't need to make it dynamic.

NoSuchMethodError compiling with 1.4 and running on 1.3

Hi community,
I have a little problem with code like the following when mixing both JDK versions:
StringBuffer sb1 = new StringBuffer();
sb1.append(new StringBuffer());In 1.3 this is linked to append(Object) and in 1.4 to the newly added append(StringBuffer) which does not exist in 1.3. The code compiles fine with both versions, but if compiled under 1.4 and run in 1.3 this throws NoSuchMethodError(as it should, of course).
I understand why it is so, the question is if there is an easy way to overcome this problem. I played with the target option of javac without success(javap shows it is always linked as stated), also I read a bit in the JLS to make sure I am right why the exception is thrown.
I see the following choices:
1. Compile with 1.3. Not a good idea because all other our products are developed and run in 1.4;
2. Ask the customers to upgrade to 1.4. There is some their reason for which they still stick to 1.3 and don't want to upgrade, we can't force them do it;
3. Find such places in code and explicitly cast. But who will know what other cases like the above exist in the code. I can find where append(StringBuffer) is used in the code, but what about other methods of other JDK classes? And it is a bad idea because somewhere in time it will anyway run with 1.4.
My question is if there is another easier option that I am missing at the moment.

Why is option 1 bad? You will be able to run it in 1.4 even if you compiled it using 1.3, so I don't see the problem? It will never run in 1.3 if you can't compile it in 1.3.Because it will always be a source of errors. Always there will be someone that will not set up their project to use 1.3 for compile or will deconfigure it while working with the other projects. Besides that as I stated source compiles fine in both versions, I don't have a compiletime problem, but a runtime one.
I know this is the most reasonable option, I know what I would choose among the three listed above, I needed some confirmation if I have missed an option.
and you are correct about the target flagI only mentioned the target tag just as one of the directions of my search, we always whine for others not putting effort in their problems ;)

Compiling producing inconsistent SWF and causes errors with embedded PNGs/GIFs

In short, whenever I compile and run my Flex project, sometimes the SWF throws the following error or similar:

ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable ItemDetails__embed_mxml_assets_printer_gif_1274103970 is not defined.

I thought is was related to the image but it's not and rather simply recompiling may cause it to work the next time. It seems sometimes images are left out and other times included. The error only shows for icons in my popup window and not the main app. I'm converted my Flex 3 app to Flex 4, so it uses the legacy MX tags. I compile to 4.5.1a. I'm using FB 4.6 on Mac OS.

How to compile other java files and run them from my own programs?

I'm developing a unit testing tool for AspectJ, which can originally generate the stubs for aspect unit to be tested. All these stubs are java files. After generation of stubs, how can I program the code to compile this unit together with these stubs, i.e. how can I put the functionality of compilation and run, e.g. command "javac *.java" and "java *", into my own code.
Hope you can understand what I mean.

When I use Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command) for executing the AspectJ compile command "ajc", "IOException createProcess error=2" always occurs, while it is ok for Java comiple command "javac".
Why this happens when I use Runtime.getRuntime().exec("ajc Hello.java Test.aj")? Is it the reason that Runtime.exec(String) may not support any command in DOS?
(ajc is the compile command for the java file and aj file.)

2TB Ext. Hard Drive is corrupted?, error code -50 and then error code -35 when i try to empty out my trash

okay so a few days ago i received and email for one of my colleagues to do some final editing to a music video. the folder contained 2 videos a rough chops and the main which was about 2-3GB which i dragged on to my external hard drive . and at the time i was trying to install a trial version of parallel lines and me being a newbie to the software i didn't know i need windows installments for it to run lol but yeah... so i was just getting frustrated with the software i kept installing it uninstalling it and then i was thinking my the problem might be because my MacHD space is low (less then 40GBs on my MacHD), so.. i installed it on my hard drive where all my important files are (I'm a graphic designer and do light video editing) video projects and many photoshop projects form 2007 and logs and just a bunch of important files in my hard drive. so because i was so frustrated with the software i wasn't thinking and i installed it on my external 2TB hard drive. and when i realized parallel wasn't working i gave up, uninstalled the program form the hard drive and for some reason when i did that and i tried opening the video my friend had email to me and for some reason it did load up but a few seconds maybe about 10sec in the video is froze and closed my media app (VLC) and when i tried opening other video files it would freeze every few minutes but those specific files i had drag in last were not playing after at least 5 secs and eventually didn't open at all so i restart my computer login and now i get scared i see that my MacBook Pro isn't reading my external hard drive so i search threw forums... i unplug from the wall plug my external hard drive back in my computer and it loaded up but when i opened my external hard drive all my files had that plank white paper icon on my folders (because i have everything organized but subject when you open then drive folder. so... i go in to my projects and nothing, i open my edited photos and nothing... my hart feels like its about to drop and i keep opening files and there is nothing in them, but in "get info" of my drive it shows that there is filled so i go to "disk utility"... i "verify disk" passes ..."repair disk" doesn't past.... i look it up in forums... so i reboot my computer and go to the safe recovery menu. go threw the same ting "disk utility"... verify, pass... repair, pass... so now i feel relieved. i login files in the ext. hard drive load up i tried again to open the files and same thing happens... so now I'm thinking its the files i drag the files to the trash and try to empty and its gone i reboot the computer and my drive didn't load up so i tried unplugin it and back in... drive comes up i notice theres trash.. i tried emptying it and i get the error code -50. and no files are popping up on my external drive and i try to repair/unmount disk and the verify disk doesn't pass and when i click repair disk it doesn't past and another error code pops up -35.... so i felt my drive alone for a few days and yesterday i go the files deleted from the trash and now I'm not getting any codes but when i try to unmount.verify/repair the disk. keeps letting my tits need to be repaired so i click the repair button another error unable to unmount volume to repair...
what do i do? my files still don't show up. and I'm very sorry for the long paragraph but i have to be detailed for you to understand my situation

i am trying to get the sample apps. work.
i have installed oDbSrv.9i, m-Srv + mdk and mobile Client(win32 native) on the same machine.
i installed the samples by using the script.
each time i am trying to sync with msync.exe i am recieving one of the following errors:
send error. -9107 or receive error. -9109
i am using the following sync-infos:

pwd jane
srv. <http://myMachine>
i installed another client (webtogo) on another machine.
everthing works fine until i want to sync.
the message reference says i have to look for bad communication to the mobilesrv..
i can ping, i can run setup, i can login.
even when i am starting to sync from the webtogoclient the clock which tells me the connecting to server state says done!
but in the next step (sync app-data) the noted errors occures.
can anybody give me a solution for this issue?

We have seen this problem before and it is most likely because you installed MDK, Mobile Client and Mobile Server on the same machine. Install Mobile Server and MDK on one machine A and Mobile Client on another machine B.

Hello, I had actually not resolved my issue. I was using a Hardware Load Balancer and pointing all apps in HYSL-Weblogic.conf to the HA VIP. If you put all servernames for the WebLogicCluster stanzas as WL_SERVER:WL_PORT,WL_SERVER2:_WLPORT2 format it should fix your issue. Fingers crossed that mine is resolved.

Web dynpro explorer - deploy and run error

When we do "new archive and run" from web dynpro explorer we are getting the following error.
windows cannot find "http://sapdev2:50100/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/testproject/Testapp?SAPtestId=10'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search

Each time you deploy new archive & run, a new test id is generated.
Try after deleting this test id parameter (from ? onwards) or just choose Run aaplication in NWDS.
What I get is that even the browser does not open when you run the application from NWDS, in that case you may try restarting the NWDS.

OPM "build and run" error

Hi
I have a problem with OPM when I use "build and run".
I only get a message "The system cannot find the file specified" and nothing more. It has worked, but it used to open Google Chrome browser. Since I did not want this behaviour I uninstalled Google Chrome. But then I got this error instead.
I can run "build and debug" prefectly fine.
The problem is not related to a specific project.
I have also tried to reinstall OPM but the problem remains.
What file is it the system cannot find? Is there a way of finding this in a log somewhere?
How does the "build and run" command work? Is there a way of checking why it can not open the browser?

Just to add some more observations.
It seems that OPM doesn't look directly to the default browser setting. If I change the default browser, OPM does not directly recognize the new setting. OPM opens the previous selected default browser anyway.
I dont know if the setting is unique per project or if it is per OPM installation.
OPM seems to pick up the default browser, but then OPM caches this somewhere. Which caused problem for me when I uninstalled Google Chrome. OPM insisted on trying to start Google Chrome anyway.
When I now got Firefox working as default browser the problem solved it self. But when I selected IE as default browser, then when I ran OPM it still opened Firefox, and Firefox gave me the warning that it was not default browser.
So OPM does not always look at the default browser setting.

I have an user LOGISTICS (registered as repository user for SP), a location connecting to LOGISTICS, a control center connecting to LOGISTICS, a configuration connectung to LOGISTICS.
The repository owner is SP
The source and target database schema is LOGISTICS
When I try to deploy and run the mapping, I get the error RTC-5381 Schema LOGISTICS ist kein Control Center Repository
How can I create this Control Center Repository?

Click and Run error officer 2010 starter

Okay, I have read people's post on Click to Run and Office Starter not opening...Uninstall and re-install Starter 2010...Click to Run will not uninstall, I get an error to contact MS. So, I tried to just re-install hoping that it will fix the problem
but I get the Click to Run error again to contact microsoft...so, how do I get around click to run if I can't repair or un-install...None of the solutions that I have found help. Please help with a different option/patch

Receiving "ATError error 3." and "ATError error 16."

I do not know what these errors represent, but I do know that I only receive them when attempting to add some of my e-books (epub) to the iPad through iTunes (latest version as of this moment; 10.6.0.40). To clarify, adding these particular e-books to the iPad (via iTunes) produces errors on the iPad (within the iBooks application). Specifically, the messages state:
"The operation couldn't be completed. (ATError error 3.)"
After pressing "OK" I sometimes get an additional error: "The operation couldn't be completed. (ATError error 16.)", however this error is a bit more rare, whereas the aforementioned error is ever present.
Another thing to add is the fact that I have successfully transfered other e-books (also epub) without issue. Again, I do not know the significance of these errors, so I am unable to troubleshoot further. Neither Google nor Apple's Support pages have yielded any information of value. Thank you.
P.S. -- When attempting to specify a product (when creating this thread) the iPad 3 (a.k.a., "New iPad") is not available for selection.

Same problem here, but ATError 1 instead. Using iTunes 10.6.1.7 running under Windows 7, 64-bit and an original iPad.
1: Added new ePub generated by InDesign CS5.5 to iTunes. Connect the iPad, check this new book. When the sync completes, I get ATError 1 on the iPad. A bunch of books are now missing from the library.
2: I unchecked the new book and re-synced. Now, one of my older enhanced ePubs from InDesign CS5.5 which opened as recently as last week is the one that can not be written (per itunes). Everything else syncs OK.
3: Unchecked all books in iTunes and re-synced. Samples that I downloaded from iBookStore remain. Everything else goes away.
4. Sync again with only the new book and it opens fine in iBooks. So - the same book that apparently caused the problem in step 1 works fine now.
5. Add back the enhanced ePub from step 2. During the sync, I get iTunes error: Could not copy "title" to the iPad because the file could not be written. On the iPad, I had iBook application open. The cover temporarily appeared in the bookshelf, but disappeared and we get the message "The operation couldn't be completed. (ATError error 1.)" Maybe this book is the problem. I can see the book size is 59,368K. This is large, but not as large as The Beatles Yellow Submarine eBook (317.6MB).
6. I tried adding The Beatles Yellow Submarine back to the iPad, and now *IT* is returning the same error.
In my case, it seems to be a problem with large files, although certainly way under the published 2GB limit. Other (smaller) books with video and audio (including Liz Castro's books) are syncing OK.

Compiling form on Windows2000 and running on XP

We have compiled forms on Window2000 forms6.08.22.1 and running on windows XP, occasionally forms are freezing up on XP, has anybody faced similar situation?

HTTP 500 - Internal server error when trying to run simple HelloWorld.jsp

I've searched the forum for a related issue and have not been able to resolve this error.
I have created a simple HelloWorld.jsp and continue to receive the Internal server error. I have tried using the host as well as the ip address to access the jsp but neither of them solve the issue.
JDev 10.1.3.2.0
These are the settings that I have configured for the embedded oc4j server:
HTTP: 8988
RMI: 23891
RMI-SSL: 24043
IIOP: 5655
IIOP-SSL: 5656
JMS: 9227
I also modified the proxy settings to use 8988 as well as the full host name.
If I click on the IP home page it takes me to the OAS overview page but I get the same error if I try to launch the App server control or example jsp's.
There are no messages in the log files.
Any ideas?

I used Flex-force toolkit to login to salesforce. The swf file generated when used internal to salesforce it works great.
But my requirement is to run it from public sites page / standalone pages. How will I configure it? I am getting error 'security error accessing url', default HTTP

I have copied the crossdomain.xml file to tomcat Root folder
