WAAS 4.1.1c HTTP Accel and MRTG

Has anyone seen any HTTP issues with MRTG doing HTTP queries to a certain website but going through a WAAS 4.1.1c network with http accel turned on? We are seeing that MRTG is showing worse response on http queries to its monitored websites now that its traffic is going through WAAS. Any help is welcomed.

We experienced several HTTP related issues, so what you may be seeing is:
CSCsv69306-Under certain conditions, HTTP clients whose connections are being optimized by HTTP accelerator can experience slow response.
This has been resolved in the new 4.1.1d code.

  • Front-end HTTP Server and Performance with .jspx pages?

This is more of a general question that I'm looking for validation:
If the majority of our website is implemented as .jspx pages, with very few straight HTML pages, is there benefit in deploying to an environment with a separate HTTP front-end web server and back-end Application server (java container)? For example, I'm deploying to Tomcat as both the HTTP server and Java Application server for the .jspx pages; is there a performance advantage in deploying to an Apache HTTP server with a connector to Tomcat if I'm primarily serving up .jspx pages? I'm not as familiar with Oracle AS architecture, so my question is primarily around Tomcat deployment.

  • PI 7.0 SOAP message reply HTTP 500 and after the fault message

    Hello Everybody,
I have the scenario RFC -> XI -> SOAP in synchronous mode.
I use for the mapping XSLT because I have to put some dynamic data comming from the RFC in the header of envelope.
At level of adapter receiver SOAP , I flag the "do not use envelop"
    In normal, that works .
When the is an fonctionnal error in SOAP service, it sends me back an error HTTP 500 and afterwards the fault message in a soap envelop format. In that case, how can I pass over this error to treat the envelop because in adapter, it is stopped and it returns a short dump to the RFC.
Is there somebody who can help me with this problem ?
Thanks in adavance for your answers .
    Regards.
    Eric.

    Hi,
In case of a SOAP error while processing the request, the SOAP HTTP server MUST issue an HTTP 500 "Internal Server Error" response and include a SOAP message in the response containing a SOAP Fault element

    Hi Henry,
    1. Where sender partner will send his XML if he uses the above URL?
Whatever technology , partner is using to send the data, there are some APIs available for establishing the http connection and then sending the data on this HTTP connection.
    2. How the user name and password will be sent in the above URL as XI requires User Name and password.
You can embed in the URL by adding sap-user=xyz&sap-password=abc

  • HTTPS, DNS and dynamically updating DNS records

Hello to you all, if you are able to help with a DNS problem that I'm having then please accept my thanks and appreciation in advance.
First some background information, I recently  moved my server from my studio to my house where a new purpose built studio will soon be erected. At my old studio any requests for myurl.com came in via the IP (whether that be http, https, ftp etc) from the domain registrar and the router would send the request to the relevant port number whether that be 80 for http or 443 for https etc and all was well as this location had a fixed IP address. Unfortunately at my new location whilst I have a much faster connection I do not have a fixed IP. To get around this I have the following set up (not ideal for a business I know but perfectly OK for home hosting); I set up two psuedo nameservers at no-ip.com (ns1myurl.com and ns2myurl.com) which tracks the changes in my IP address and updates its records accordingly, my registrar then sends any requests to these 'nameservers' and no-ip then forwards it on to my server. So far so good.
The problem arises once the requests get to my server, whilst I have DNS set up, I can only recieve requests from a straight request to the server ie myurl.com will display the site without any problem, but if I then put a www in front of that or try to access the https part of my site (which is set up as a seperate site on the same server) then the server throws an error. I have tried to put an alias (CNAME) into the zone but it does not want to resolve the request. I have searched around but to no avail, I am totally new to DNS so am currently on a steep learning curve and fumbling around in the dark.
The first thing that I need to get working is the request to be resolved correctly and then (and this is where the real fun starts!) is to dynamically update the IP in the DNS records as the IP changes. I will probably have to get help in on this as I understand that this requires BIND of which I know nothing about, first though I'd like to get the pages to be served up correctly. Advice, hints, tips or links to tutorials all greatly appreciated. Full set up listed below.
    Many thanks, David.
Xserve PPC G5 running 10.5.8 unlimited set up as standalone OD master
    Xraid
    APC UPS
CradlePoint MBR1200 Gateway router which acts as the DHCP
http://myurl.com and https://myurl.com set up as 2 seperate sites and located on the Xraid
    Current DNS setup:
Primary Zone name: myurl.com with nameservers ns1myurl.no-ip.info and ns2myurl.no-ip.info and allow zone transfers in checked
    Then
    Name
    Type
    Value
    myurl.com
    Primary Zone
            ns1myurl.no-ip.info
            Machine
    12.34.56.78 (external IP)
            ns2myurl.no-ip.info
            Machine
    12.34.56.78 (external IP)
            myurl.com.
            Machine
    12.34.56.78 (external IP)
            www.myurl.com.
            Alias
    myurl.com.
With the reverse zone looking thus with allow zone transfers being checked
    Name
    Type
    Value
    56.34.12.in-addr.arpa.
    Reverse Zone
            12.34.56.78
            Reverse mapping
            myurl.com.

Thanks for the reply Camelot, that part though I had already figured out. I now have this working, all I did was change the external IP to the internal one of the server with resolves with the .local machine name and all is working just fine (for now!). As long as I have primary zones set for each site and any alias or services set up on them then everything works well.. The real test will be when my ISP changes the IP, whilst my tests have proved successful the proof will be when they update the address.
    Thanks anyway. David.

  • Question about HTTP Server and 9iAS

I am kind of new to Oracles 9is products. I installed Oracle 9i Rel. 2 recently and it installed HTTP Server and other stuff as part of that install. I am trying to write a small web application. Is this install good enough to do basic servlet's, jsp's and may be EJB's etc ... or do I need to install 9iAS. I am confused on the fact that I know 9iAS will give me j2ee container, web container, clustering, etc ..., what functionality is included in the 9i databases web server piece.
Also, can anyone point me to a good documentation that explains directory structure of 9i Rel. 2. I am familiar with the database part fairly well(oracle 7 release). However, I am confused as to new web related stuff (Apache, bc4j, etc..) in 9i Rel. 2.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
No, you cannot run EJB's in the Apache installation. For that you might want to download OC4J.
Basic Http pages and Servlets can run but I dont think it is advisable to use it for that. For any kind of development, I would suggest you to use OC4J.
Oracle9i Database is web enabled and you can access the table, etc.. from a browser too. This is the reason Apache is provided with the basic installation. Oracle9i Rel 2 has XML DB in it which again can be accessed from the Web.
For more help on any of these check http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/oracle9i.html
You will be able to get all the related Developer's Guide here.
    Hope this helps,

  • Send from file to http server and save http/xml response to another file

    Hallo,
is there anybody who made running simple think. Read xml file, send it to http server using plain HTTP adapter and then wait for response which is to be saved as another file?
    ThanX a lot.
    Honza Vrzak

    Hello Honza,
I've made running these two asynchronous scenario. Maybe that might help you?
1.a) FileAdapter picks up XML and sends it to XI2.0
1.b) XI uses PlainHTTP-Adapter to sends the message to Webserver
1.c) HTTPRequestHandler (written in C#) receives the XML and writes it to HD.
2.a) JavaScript sending an XML to PlainHTTP adapter of XI2.0.
2.b) XI sends the message to FileAdapter
2.c) FileAdapter writes the XML to HD
What you need is an synchrounus scenario and I think I remember that the fileadapter is not able to work synchrounus. So I think you have to combine these two scenarious to one.

  • 10g: HTTP Server and OC4J on different servers?

Can anyone assist with configuring HTTP Server and OC4J on different servers?
I installed AS 10g on both; our application runs fine on one server, with the HTTP Server and OC4J both on the same box.
I need to also test this with the HTTP Server on a separate box.
    I added this to mod_ocj4.conf:
    Oc4jMount /indox-qa1
    instance://cvodev2:oas_dev2.cvodev2.int.sys.com:indox-qa1
    Oc4jMount /indox-qa1/*
    instance://cvodev2:oas_dev2.cvodev2.int.sys.com:indox-qa1
But when I try to access something like http://cvodev4/indox-qa1 I get this in the logs:
[Wed Jul 06 16:54:10 2005] [warn] [client 10.1.1.231] [ecid: 1120683250:192.152.136.127:1248:1544:1,0] MOD_OC4J_0184: Failed to find an oc4j process for destination: instance://cvodev2.int.camsys.com:oas_dev2.cvodev2.int.camsys.com:indor-qa1

  • Outbound HTTP adapter and URL parameters

    Hi all
I'm having some trouble with a XI scenario I'm supposed to implement.
I should get invoices from a vendors webserver using a url with parameters (ex. http://myvendor.com/getinvoice.jsp?invoiceid=12345) and send it as INVOICE IDoc to the R/3.
I thought that would be an easy one using the Plain HTTP-Adapter but I can't figure out how to build the URL. Is there a way to do that, or do I need to implement my own adapter??
    Thanks in advance
    Stefan

    Hi experts ,
I have this scenario from Legacy to XI to external app server.I have a test jsp to execute that functionality .Its a jsp which has 1 textarea named "test" and when I click on the submit buton I get a response back. This way I am able to test this independently. Now from XI when I am executing my scenario I am getting status code '1250' and message as ' http request(test) is null'.Now in the scenario in http adapter I just provide the target host : ip of server ,
service number : port no ,
path: the container or the request handler. But this scenario fails and gives me the above erroneous response. Now Basically I am not able to get how to send the value to the textarea "test"? please provide help as soon as possible.Do we have to put the name of the jsp in the "path" in http adapter and use prolog as test= or should it be &test= .I tried this but it doesnt work.So please provide help on this as soon as possible or please suggest a solution at [email protected]
    Thanx in advance,

  • Interconnect HTTP adapter and B2B

The HTTP adapter within Interconnect does not seem to support SOAP HTTP formats, would B2B be able to manipulate the HTTP from the HTTP Adapter and create it in SOAP format.

Unfortunately B2B do not support generic SOAP formats today. It only
supports SOAP in the context of ebXML.

  • How to submit both HTTP post and a PDF

I would like to know how to submit HTTP post and a PDF to a HTTPS web server that will have a php code to parse. Any ideas would be great.
    -Dev

If you drop a regular button on the form and make it a submit button. In teh Submit panel you can control what is being submitted. One of the options is a PDF and another is an XDP (XML Data Package) where you can control what is in th epackage. One of the options for the package is the completed PDF (base64 encoded). If you use the XDP option you will get all of your data in XML and you will get the completed PDF in a separate node. I believe the node is Chunk. Then you can get the Chunk node an decode it and voila there is your data and completed PDF in a single transmission.

  • HTTP Tunneling and Load Balancing with Weblogic Server 6.1

We use T3 for Java client to application server communication (Weblogic Server
6.1) and keep the session open for the life of the client. We many customers
using this with load balancers and all works fine. We have just started to use
BEA's HTTP tunneling and I have a question concerning how this will work with
load balancers. Since the single T3 connection has been replaced with a series
of stateless HTTP connections, does the BEA tunneling code put session information
in the HTTP header? If so, what information does it place in the header. If
it does we should be able to use that to make sure that the load balancer always
sends HTTP requests with that session to the same application server.
    Thanks!

    Rick,
You may want to look at the Alteon and F5 configuration we have on edocs.
Take a look at the following URLs for a possible solution

  • HTTP BC and Attachments

    Hi,
I am trying to consume a SOAP message with an MTOM attachment via the HTTP BC and then process the message in a service engine. However, when I inspect the message content in the MessageExchange received in the service engine, I see no attachment but instead the data of the attachment inlined as Base64 characters in a DOMSource. My expectation would have been that the BC puts the attachment to the NMR as a DataHandler and the message payload as a StaXSource. At least this is what happens using Metro in a Servlet based WebService. My understanding was that the HTTP BC uses Metro as well, doesn't it? BTW I am really missing documentation on using WSIT features with the HTTP BC ...
    Regards,
    Kai

    Hi Kai,
Yes, your expectation is correct, but we currently don't support attachments in JBI message exchanges. So, for now, the attachments are inlined as you observed. We are looking into adding this support in the near future though.
HTTP BC does use Metro as the underlying technology, so you should get all the WS-* features as in the EE web services. We just posted some documentation on how to configure WSIT options in HTTP BC. Here is the link to it:http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=HTTPBCWSITConfiguration
BTW, exposing WSIT feature through HTTP BC is still work in progress, so we are adding more documentation as we progress. The full set of support should be available very soon, and so you should be seeing more/better documentations on this.
    Thanks

  • Http System and User Mapping

    hi,
I have created a Http system and mapped the user ID and password for the login page of that System. Now when i created a URL Iview for a particular application using the System defined above and after passing the username and password parameters as mapped user and mapped Password, i am not able to login into the web application. Its displaying the login page again asking for username and password.
What should be done so that i could login to the application directly after logging into the Portal. And also plz tell me the required parameters that needs to be filled in while creating the system. Also the consolidated list of steps to be followed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jules

    Hi Jules,
What you are talking about is also called SSO. Well you have to also do a minor change in the setting. Go to HTTP System which you have created and in the Property Category dropdoen select User Management. Here you will find the user mapping type. Chnage the option of this user mapping according to your need. There will be three option for that:
    1) <b>User</b> -  If only user need to be mapped.
    2) <b>Admin</b> - If only admin need to be mapped.
    3) <b>User,Admin</b> - If both User and admin need to be mapped. (prefered if SSO has to provided for application to all users including Admin).
Also I beleive that you have create dthe System alias for the HTTP system you have created, because you will need that for user mapping in the further steps.
I hope this solves your problem.

  • The concept of http persistent and non-persistent

pls somebody explain me the concept of "keepalive type http".
when and where configure the persistent and non-persistent? not clear from the doc that HTTP-head, HTTP-get, classA and classB.
    Thanks in advance.

Persistent will use HTTP version 1.1 while non-persistent will use version 1.0.
Use non-persistent only if your server does not support http version 1.1.
HTTP method HEAD or GET is selected with the command 'keepalive method'.
A head does not require the server to send us the content of the requested file, but simply an acknowledgement that the file is available.
The GET will request the complete file from the server and the CSS will verify that the content did not change compare to first GET request.
Again, I would recommend the default - head, unless you believe somebody could corrupt the content of your website.
    Regards,
    Gilles.
