Wacom Intuos + Yosemite = Freeze
Just as an FYI to those of you having issues with Wacom Intuos tablets and Yosemite.
There is definitely an issue causing lockups/freezing with the Wacom drivers under Yosemite. This is also being discussed over at MacRumors.
My combo is:
Retina iMac (iMac 15,1)
OS X Yosemite (10.10, Build 14A389)
Intuos 5 Pro tablet
Latest Wacom OS X drivers (6.3.10w2)
Symptom (nearly 100% reproducibility)
Let computer go to sleep (iMac power settings at defaults). When you wake the computer, login screen comes on, then the entire system locks. No mouse, no keyboard input, nothing. Just the login screen. Only way to get the system back is a hard reset with the power button.
When the Intuos tablet is unplugged (but drivers still installed), problem still happens.
When the Intuos drivers are uninstalled (using the utility in Applications/Wacom/Wacom Tablet Utility), problem goes away.
Here's hoping Intuos gets their drivers fixed ASAP, because for now, some of us have very expensive paperweights on our desks.
I see you are running LR 2.6. You should load version 2.7, which is the last update for LR 2:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4673
LR updates reload the complete program, which will eliminate the installation as an issue.
The link I posted talks about the larger Intuos4 tablet, but all Intuos4 tabletsuse the same USB connector type. Apparently the internal solder connections can break from heavy tugging on the small miniUSB connector. I have the medium Intuos4 and wrap the cable across the back edge and held down with a small piece of clear tape. Since your problem seems to occur intermittently (after ~ 1 hour) it indicates losing the USB connection to your tablet may be the cause. You can use a camera miniUSB cable to replace your current cable for testing purposes. I have about six of these, since one comes with virtually every camera today. I also suggest plugging it into a different USB port on your computer, to eliminate that possibility as well.
If you still have the problem you can try deleting your Preferences file, which does NOT get replaced when you reinstall or update LR:
http://lightroomers.com/replacing-the-lightroom-preference-file/745/
On Windows 7, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Users/[username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/Preferences folder, and delete the Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs file. LR will create a new preferences file the next time it is opened.
If still no joy perhaps upgrade to LR4, which has its own set of issues and learning curve.

Mac OSX Yosemite Wacom Intuos 4 - Painting not possible due to terrible brush lags
I recently updated my iMac (27", end of 2013, 3,5 GHz intel core 7, 16 GB Ram + Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M 4096mb) to OS X Yosemite, and also installed the new driver for my wacom intros 4 tablet (version 6_3.9w5).
But since OS X 10.10, I got nothing but troubles with CS6 (version 13.0.6) - whenever I try to paint with a brush (it doesn't matter which one I choose), the stroke gets applied laggy and delayed. I already installed the white windows plug-in but nothing changed.
When this happens and I try to quit PS, most of the time it says the program stopped working and I need to force quit it.
When I use my mouse in PS, on the other hand, every stroke is fast and smooth as it used to be.I had the SAME problem. This worked for me:
Before, I was running Yosemite 10.10 on an iMac i7
I had the latest driver from Wacom (I tried a couple of older drivers, to no avail)
I'm running PS CS6, with all update
I'm using a Wacom Intuos 5 medium tablet
I was getting super bad lag while using the brush and other tools. Let's say I'd open an image to edit. After selecting the keyboard shortcut for my brush, I'd make one pass with the brush on the image. The brush stroke would be there, but it wouldn't show up in the history palette. Only after making another brush stroke would the previous action be recorded in the history palette. I was lagging real bad. In between brush strokes I wouldn't be able to change tools or even change the size of my brush. Nothing worked. I'd have to click off the image to regain control, or click the trackpad to regain control. BTW, the trackpad worked perfectly. NO lag for anything in PS. The polygonal lasso tool, one of my favorite selection tools, was basically unusable with the lag. I'd have to click several times before it would catch up and then sometime it would just randomly close the selection. So that was useless.
Ok, so that's what was happening to me. My tablet was basically useless. It took triple the time to work with it.
All I did was update Yosemite to 10.10.1 and the tablet now works PERFECTLY in photoshop cs6 for me. I'm not sure you'll get the same results but it worked for my computer. I really didn't think it would work so I was pleasantly surprised when it did.
I had tried installing older wacom drivers. Didn't work.
I tried reinstalling PS CS6 in a new user profile on my Mac. Didn't work. -
Lightroom 3 Causes Wacom driver to freeze, requires cold reboot
Machine is;
i7 975
24GB ram
ATI HD 5770 graphics within monitor running 2560*1600 @ 60hz
120GB SSD for windows and programs
4 x 1TB HDD in RAID 10 for data on Highpoint rocket raid card
Win 7 64 Ultimate
Wacom Intuos 3 18*12 digitising tablet Driver version 6.1.6-5 and the three previous versions equally.
No other mouse, tablet only for all applications.
The pointer movement freezes in Lightroom 3.0 and 3.2 after some use, no particular sequence or time frame. More often than not in the Develop Module while scrolling the film strip with the scroll wheel on the tablet cursor. Sometimes 10 minutes sometimes an hour of use.
I exit Lightroom 3.2 by Alt-F Alt-X. Cursor operation does not return. I shutdown the computer with keyboard commannds.
The cursor freeze is system wide and requires a cold reboot to return to normal operation.
The issue occurs with no other programs. Lightroom 2.6 has NO issue with the tablet on the same machine and drivers and everything else.
Lightroom 3 or 3.2 is the only problem program out of cad, office and other typical apps.
I see other threads crashing Lightroom, but Lightroom still responds to keyboard commands in my case.
It appears the wacom driver is being hung by Lightroom.
On the tablet is a normally on blue LED that blinks off for button presses of the cursor. Once frozen no LED blinks happen for the cursor button presses.
Regards
JohnJohn,
Thanks for the pointers.
The driver version 6.1.6-5 is the very latest released only a couple days ago.
As you suggest in your linked thread, I have now set TabletServiceWacom to Restart the Service for all failures.
I'll post back within a week one way or the other.
Regards

For some reason photoshop CC doesn't respond to the right mouse button that is on my tablet pen.
It's strange because it does work for illustrator CC, so why would photoshop CC not respond to it?
Anyhow, help please!
I have a wacom intuos pen tablet.I checked my settings and they´ve always been like this:
So that's not it. -
Photoshop CC brushes extremely laggy with Wacom Intuos Pro!
I've been messing around with digital painting on an iPad for a while, and just bought a Wacom Intuos Pro (medium) so I could do so on my Macs. I immediately noticed input lag from the Intuos, so started to do some testing. It doesn't appear to be the tablet. The same lag exists in Photoshop when using the Mac's trackpad, but the problem disappears entirely when I move into Corel Painter, trackpad or Intuos. Some lag exists in Illustrator, but not nearly as bad as Photoshop - Photoshop CC really seems to be the culprit.
I've uploaded a video (from my iPad; sorry for the quality) of this behavior: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwR76V-hmLU
Any thoughts? Calling Adobe first resulted in finger-pointing to Wacom (quickly squelched when I pointed out the same problem existed when using the trackpad), and then sending me a link to a 5-year-old Adobe Forum post that's for Photoshop CS4 and Wacom Intuos 4 tablets - that's 3 versions back for Photoshop and 2 versions back for the tablet. (Of course, the solutions present in that post no longer apply.) Here's the link, for anyone interested: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3709366
Any thoughts? Painter seems nice, but I'd really like to be able to do digital painting in Photoshop as well. This issue makes that quite a bit more difficult.I have an intuos 5 touch not the pro. However have user my son's intuos5 pro on my machine for his first pro had a bad touch ring and he wanted me to test his tablet.
I do not have a problem with normal brushes like you show in Photoshop. I can produce long delays using large wet mixed brushes though. However ever small mixer brushes work more like the brush stroke you show using painter painter on my windows workstation in Photoshop CC 14.2.1 current version and prior versions.
I using wacom driver 6.3.7.5 I see there is a version 6.3.7.6 I'll download a try that now.

Wacom Intuos Tablet and Pen not working on new iMac with OSX 10.9.4
Hi there, I've been using an A3 Wacom Intuos tablet and pen for many years now on a 2006 iMac for my illustration work, but I cannot get them to appear or work on my new iMac with OSX 10.9.4. I think they are the original Wacom Intuos tablet and pen. Does anyone know if they are just out of date now and aren't supported on the new OSX 10.9.4? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I need to work and it's frustrating!
Many thanks,
SteveBarbara B.
I have done as you suggested; I uninstalled PSE 11 and set my wife's account up as admin and reinstalled from there. Still have the same problem with my wife's account, but when I went to mine it is working correctly. Any ideas on why that would be? I'm sure it should work on both accounts. I have 2 accounts on my Mac Mini running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and it works on both.
Thanks for your help; at least it's working on my account so that's a great improvement. -
Problem Adobe Bridge 64 bit or 32 bit and Wacom Intuos tablets on Win 7 or 8
I've recently started using the Wacom Intuos 5 tablet both at work and at home. I've enjoyed the experience for the most part, except for this one problem with Adobe Bridge. I use the 64 bit version, but even in 32 bit the problem was apparent. This problem appears in both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
The Problem
After launching Bridge, attempting to select an image seems to lock the application. You cannot select, double click, anything. If you enable your mouse, the cursor becomes active and acts as if you had held down the mouse button and were dragging over objects.
The Solution
After much searching I finally came across this link on Wacom's support site. It seems that if you have Windows Sticky Notes open, as I did on both machines, the Wacom tablet doesn't work as it should. I didn't realize that Sticky Notes allowed for pen input on the notes, which I discovered attempting to edit text on them.
Shutting down Sticky Notes does indeed fix the Wacom issue. The real question is why Bridge cares if Sticky Notes is open.I'm having the same exact issue you've described here except that I don't use windows sticky notes
Anyone know if there are other applications that cause a similar issue?
Thanks. -
Wacom Intuos 5 not recognized in Photoshop CC
I recently became a subscriber to the creative cloud as well as recently getting a wacom intuos 5. The problem is, my new photoshop cc, does not show that I have a pressure sensitve tablet. Is there a new driver from adobe that I need to install? I checked the Wacom site and as far as I can tell I have the newest driver available. Also, I do have photoshop cs5.5 could these two versions of photoshop be causing a problem when it comes to the tablet?
Any help that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Adobe doesn't create drivers - Wacom creates the drivers for their tablets.
No, having 2 versions installed, or even running at the same time, doesn't make a difference. -
How do I get non anti-aliased vector rectangles in Photoshop CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 4?
Hello,
When using Photoshop CS5 to draw a vector rectangle using the Wacom Intuos 4, the rectangle comes out anti-aliased, but when I draw a rectangle using a mouse on the same machine, there is no anti-aliasing.
What can I do to get sharp, non anti-aliased vector rectangles?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank youc.pfaffenbichler, here is a screenshot of my problem:
The red square was created using a mouse and the blue square was created using my Wacom pen, which you can see the anti-aliasing on. -
InDesign bug with wacom intuos
Hello! I have a problem with In design. Since I got a new wacom intuos pen and touch, I have a bug with In Design, it won't save or save as, can't even do UNDO. Does anybody has ever experience this kind of problem? I have mac OS X version 10.6.8 and Adobe CS5.
Thank you!Yes. But working in CS6. Can't save. Wacom stylus doesn't respond until I tap somewhere out of the CS6 environment and then tap back in the CS6 environment. Then sometimes stylus responds. Also try edit/purge/all action. It seems to help, but in reality this is no way to work.

Wacom Intuos 3 pen not working in Lightroom 4
I have the latest Wacom Intuos 3 driver for my system, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, and it works fine in Photoshop CS6, but doesn't work at all in Lightroom 4. My Wacom mouse works, but not all that well either in Lightroom 4. I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer.
I did find out about the driver upgrade from Intuous and downloaded/installed it, and after rebooting my computer everything worked okay. The mouse worked okay all along, but I use the pen a lot in Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom. It was working ok in CS6 but not Lightroom 4. Now it is working fine. Thanks for responding.

Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 3 - Problem
I recently upgraded my PC and therefore reinstalled Adobe Design Standard CS5 and my Wacom Intuos 3. But at my first attempt to draw something I realized that the pen pressure isn't always recognized correctly. Therefore I get some lines with and without pressure:
Any idea how I can fix this? The tablet is working correctly with Open Canvas , therefore this should be a Photoshop problem.
Thank you in advance.Make sure you have the Photoshop updates installed.
Then contact Wacom. Photoshop just uses the pressure information it receives from the wacom driver, and they have bugs like this sometimes. -
Problems with Photoshop or Wacom Intuos Tablet
My new Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch tablet came today with a load of problems.
In Photoshop, the brush size is way bigger than the painted area and I have tried everything including adjusting cursor size and hardness but nothing has worked so far. I have also tried adjusting the sensitivity of the pen but it does not change anything.
In Photoshop, lines are very jagged and does not draw smoothly. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the recent drivers and old drivers but does not work.
If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Here is a screenshot showing these problems: http://imgur.com/VY9UYos (Although the outline of the brush is not showing, the painted area is WAY smaller than the size of the brush.)I think you have in Shape Dynamics the pen pressure set to Size Jitter. This causes the brush stroke to be bigger/smaller depending on the pressure.
