WAD transport to productive system?

Hi,
I have implemented a query in the development system with WAD.
How can I bring the WAD query to the productive system?
Thanks!

You can collect Query and WAD in the same request and transport
Choose Query in Transport con - only necessary objects - assign package - give new request
Repeat the same for WAD and use the same request and release and import to Qual and perform test then IMPORT to Prod

  • Issue whilel transporting from production system to quality system

    Hi All,
I am facing issue in process chain when I transport it from production system to quality system. Process chain is related to deleting PSA logs. When transported to quality system object_type and object_name fields in display variant becomes blank. In production system it is showing 8ZXXX_CA, it should become 8ZXXX_HA in quality system.
       Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
sorry it was frm dev system to quality system, not prod to quality.

  • Transporting role menu and workbook created diurectly in production system

    Hi gurus,
We have several workbooks (and queries) that are created directly in production system. thoose workbooks are connected to a role that is created in development system and transported to production system.
Now, we would like modify this role in development then tranport it on production system, but we are afraid that will be wiped out (overwrite) our production system workbooks (because the role not contains this workbook in development).
Could you please explain to us what we have to do in order to not wiped out our production workbooks.
    Thank you in advance

thank you, it's more clear for me...
Exactly, to have all my requests and workbook in development, I tried to use "Transport order of copy (it means transport queries from Production system to development system)", then to connect them with the corresponding roles in development, but I have the think that BW considers them as new requests when I re-transport them again on the prod.)
Could you say me if i can transport my production system queries on my development system, and manage them in this system (development) in the future.
    Thank you in advance

  • Track Requests in Production System

    Hi Experts.
I'm trying to find a way to get all requests that were transported to production system in a particular date.
Do you know any table where I can find this information?
I was looking in 'E070' tables group but it's seems like none of them return what I want.
    Thanks in advance.
    Flavia

    Hi,
E070 table only stores the Transport request status and transported date and .
try this way by passing the field values to E070 table..
    TRSTATUS    = 'R'       "transport released...
TARSYSTEM = "you PRD system name
AS4DATE     = the date you want to pass

  • Infosource invisible in production system

    Hello,
We are facing a unique problem that we are not able to find the Info source for a ODS and one Infocube in our Production system. In Quality system it was working fine and we could see these Infosources. But on transporting the complete devlopment to Production system , we could not locate the required Infosources.
As a matter of fact, these Infosources was available in the data flow for the Cube,
and we could go to the infosource by double clicking it in the dataflow. But the same was not visible in the Infosource tab in AWB in production system.
    We tried various Options like:
1 RSA1 -> Infosource -> from MENU settings -> display generated objects -> and check the radio button show generated objects. Still the infosource was not visible.
Can anyone please provide some inputs to it.
    Thanks,
    Vipul

    Hi Anil,
Yes, you are right; my Application component had not been transported to Production System.
My Infoareas are lying in unassigned nodes and so the info-objects.
But i dont able to understand why my application componet is not been transported to Production system. When it succesfully transported to Quality system where all things are working fine.
I have transported the same request to production system as well. Can you provide some insight to it.
And to other replies i can say that i cant replicate and activate Data Sources in Production system. I have already done these steps in Development system.
    Thanks and regards.

  • Best Practice: Migrating transports to Prod (system down etc.)

    Hi all
This is more of a process and governance question as opposed to a ChaRM question.
We use ChaRM to migrate transports to Production systems. For example, we have a Minor BAU Release (every 2 weeks), a Minor Initiative Release (every 4 weeks) and a Major Release (every 3 months).
We realise that some of the major releases may require SAP to be taken offline. But what is SAP Best practice for ANY release into Production? i.e. for our Minor BAU Release we never shut down any Production systems, never stop batch jobs, never lock users etc.
What does SAP recommend when migrating transports to Prod?
    Thanks
    Shaun

Have you checked out the "Two Value Releases Per Year" whitepaper for SAP recommendations?  Section 6 is applicable.
Lifetime Support by SAP » Two Value Releases per Year
The "real-world" answer is going to depend on how risk-adverse versus downtime adverse your company is.  I think most companies would choose to keep the systems running except when SAP forces an outage or there is a real risk of data corruption (some data conversions and data loads, for example).
Specific to your minor BAU releases, it may be wise to make a process whereby anything that requires a production shutdown, stopped batch jobs, locked users, etc. needs to be in a different release type. But if you don't have the kind of control, your process will need to allow for these things to happen with those releases.
Also, with regards to stopping batch jobs in the real world, you always need to balance the desire to take full advantage of the available systems versus the pain of managing the variations.  If your batch schedule is full, how are you going to make sure the critical jobs complete on time when you do need to take the system down?  If it isn't full, why do you need that time?  Can you make sure only non-critical batch jobs run during those times?  Do you have a good method of implementing an alternate batch schedule when need be?

  • Reg: Maintenace of ZTable in Production System

    Dear Experts,
There was a ztable created in Development with Delivery Class as 'C' and Data Class as 'USER'. The maintenance generator is created for this ztable. Then the table is transported to Production system.
In production system, I'm not able to maintain entries.
I thought this could be a problem of Delivery Class, so i changed to 'A'. Still i'm not able to maintain any entries in Production system, where as i can maintain entries in Quality and Development systems.
Do any one have solution for this.
    Kindly help me.
    Regards,
    Abdur Rafique

NO need to create Table maintenance for each time.
suppose you made the changes in any fields ( e.g. like increase or decrese the size in the domain) you should modify the Table maintenance.
suppose you made change in the table (e.g.like the delivery type or some thing related to the table) first you delete Table maintenance and create the Table maintenance.
all change will be stored in to the Transport Request what are all the changes done in the DEV server it will stored into the TR. so you just release the TR to Quality server.
if you want to transport the table content just select the table content click table entry-> transport entries. they ask the TR number.

  • Maintain overhead rates in production system

    Hi experts,
i want to maintain percentage overhead rates in production system, but system has status not modifiable. I found t-code S_ALR_87008275, choose Status, double click on transaction, i found IMG activity SIMG_ORKK_WERK_KZZ2 and area menu KKSM, than i triggered SE16 table CUSAMEN and create new class and object, all i transport to product system. But i can change or create overhead in production system only, but not in details concrete Percentage.
What shall i do to change in details percentage?
    Thanks for advice.

  • Info package issue in Production system?

    Hi experts,
I would like to know about the scenerio of info packages in production system.
    1) When the objects are transported to production system,
Do we use the same info packages in the prod system, which are used to schedule the load in development system.
    2) Do we create new infopackages everytime for the data load in production system?. Please let me know about this.
    3) In my case when I schedule the infopackage which are transported to prod system are asking for request number. Is it normal?. I mean everytime we schedule, will it ask for request number in prod system.?
Please let me know the normal procedure as to how to load the data in prod system(Standard Procedure Which is followed by all developer's to load the data)
    With regards,
    Dubbu

    1) When the objects are transported to production system,
Do we use the same info packages in the prod system, which are used to schedule the load in development system.
Ans : The choice is yours. In our system we create infopackages directly in production. Its just flexibility for us.
    2) Do we create new infopackages everytime for the data load in production system?. Please let me know about this.
Ans : Infopackages are reusuable but if they are used in process chains its better to create new ones as it will affect the associated process chain.
    3) In my case when I schedule the infopackage which are transported to prod system are asking for request number. Is it normal?. I mean everytime we schedule, will it ask for request number in prod system.?
Ans : Yes its normal to ask request number but in development system.

  • Process Chain Triggered automatically when transported to test system

    Hi All,
We modified several process chain and transported the process chain to Test system.
Few Process chain triggered automatically as the varient was set to immediate in development system.
Now we want to move the process chain to production. Do we need
    1. new transport request with the variant to future date and discard the transport request which created issues
    2. New transport request with the variant to future date and transport the new along with the old transport to production system
    3. Change the start date in Test system and transport the same request to production
Kindly advice me on the action to be taken.

Regarding 2: When the old transport is imported into production the start will be set to immediately and the process chain will execute. You should not use this option.
Regarding 3: Changing in Test system will not affect the content of the transport, it will still be the same as released from Dev.
We have avoided this annoying problem with process chains being executed when transports are imported by creating a "parent" process chain that simply triggers the process chain in question. This "parent" chain should not be transported. You then set the start option for the original process chain to "start by API/Event" then you can transport the original process chain whenever you want without any risk of the process chain being executed.

  • Is the complete query overwritten once it is transported to another system?

    Hi,
I had developed a query with some variables on the infoset. This has been transported to the production system.
But due to some requirement change the infoset was impacted due to the changes made in the ODS. (on which the infoset was created).
So the infoobjects technical names of ODS in the Infoset had changed. (F1 to F11....). Due to this the variables which were built on this infoobjects after the change are showing up under different infoobjects after technical name change.
Now to solve the issue, if i delete the variables and create under their respective infoobjects and transport to production system, will this work? Will the varaibles which were already transported to production system deleted automatically after the query is again transported to the production system?
    Please help
    Thanks,
    Rani

    Hi Rani,
Make sure u include the deletion change in the transport.
when u delete the variable it will ask for trnasport.
and also to ensure all ur changes are in the transport go to transport connection in RSA1. In that ->object types->query element->find ur query and trasnfer it.
make the grouping as 'only necessary objects'.
it will give u the list make sure it is all present in ur transport.
u can see the transport number in the rightmost window.
If u see all are not included tick and use the 'transport' -truck icon on topic.click on that and assign the transport.
    hope it helps

    Rathy

  • Want create template WAD 7.0 in production system without make a transport

    Hi everybody,
I want to create a new template with WAD 7.0 in Production system and i obtain
    the following error:
"The Object cannot be processed due to a transport problem"
With WAD 3.5, i have no problem.
I search in the forum, and apparantly, the problem appears when the template has been previously transported.
For my part, it is not the same thing.
I want create a template WAD 7.0 on Prod system as i want.
I know it is possible with the transaction SCC4 and the option "Changes without automatic recording".
But, now, i can change everything in my system ... dangerous.
So, is there an other possibility ?
An other point: i can create a query 7.0 in Prod system without problem.
Why WAD has not the same behaviour that Query Designer ?
    Thanks a lot
    Rodolphe.

    Dear Rodolphe,
You can give change access to individual object types, by changing settings at objects changeability( RSA1 --> Transport connection --> Objects Changeability --> choose which objects you want to give access and from context menu select "change complete" . No need to Open system(using SCC4).
    Please check: [Object Changeability|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f7/db6f3b6c980c3be10000000a11402f/frameset.htm]

    <b>System Response</b>
    The object is not imported.
    <b>Procedure</b>
If you still want to import the object, release the relevant repair andrepeat the import.
Does anybody know something about that problem?
    Cheers

    Hi,
maybe somebody has already create your form in the productive system. Now you would like to create something already created.
Maybe, you have to check in the TADIR table (key R3TR / FORM / name of the form) if the form already exist. What is the system source for the form. (in the PROD)
And finaly, you can go to the SE03, select the first line and execute (to find object R3TR FORM ..) in all the request order. That will show you who has play with this form, and if a request was lost between DEV & PROD.  (in the DEV)

  • Error while transporting ADDRESS to production system

    Hi all,
We are in the process of a new rollout and we have created new plants and company codes. the same have been transported to quality and pre-production systems without any issues. however when we transport the same to Production, we face an error

    The object
      R3TR TDAT ADDRESS_4.6*
has not yet been imported into client 100 without error.
the objects are getting transported with same address number as in development which in production points to a different address.
as far as i know the system should generate a new address number and assign it to the object during transport.
