Waiting 2 months for broadband-already paid activa...

Was just wondering if anyone has experience this level of poor customer service and terrible organization from BT. Its so bad I'm considering turning this into a legal matter.
I originally ordered my phone line and broadband service from BT in mid January. I initially waited just a week or so before the engineer came around and sorted it all out. I was then charged £63 from my account for the activation fee and also first month rental. I shortly had to move houses after the activation due to an issue with my house and was completely fine knowing that I would have to wait addtional time for the engineer to come to my new place. The engineer previously came in 1 week so it should be quick right? WRONG. I called up BT to request a change address, the **bleep** on the phone cancelled my services and package - he claims it was a "miscommunication" - and said that he will call back the next day to sort it out. He didnt call the next day. And I had to call and be put on hold for roughly 3 hours all together to get a date for my services to be installed-note that this was no longer a simple address change-they had to create a whole new order and service for me. The date given was 12th of February. Shortly after, someone else on the BT customer support team messed with my account-probably trying to sort this out-and the date got pushed to the 17th of February which is today. I thought fine, its been 1 month but I can wait 5 more days. Today at 1 PM I get an email saying that my broadband will be activated on the 3rd of March. I have paid a total of around £63 for around 2 days use of broadband. I honestly never knew that a company such as BT could have such poor management skills and customer service skills. This is absolutely ridiculous. Im hoping some moderator on the forums will be able to help me out here. Has anyone experienced something like this?

  • Unsatisfied Florida Customer Waiting Months for Solutions to my Problem!

    I moved to a new apartment in December. I have contacted Verizon every week for the past 6 weeks. I have received 3 refurbished phones, talked to 10+ representatives including IT specialists and supervisors, and even requested a new SIM card that Verizon "forgot" to send with one of the refurbished phones. Each time I speak with a representative,I am told that I will receive a call/email within 48 hours and have yet to receive a single one.
    The three phones have been of no help, and at one time I was even offered a $20 credit - from Verizon - towards a land-line, even after purchasing the Verizon network extender. I have been a loyal customer for 8 years, but would be MORE THAN WILLING to switch to AT&T, Metro PCS, Sprint, etc. had I not signed a 2 year contract.
    I work from home and need to have service. Given that I am sending Verizon nearly $150 a month, I expect quality service and answers rather than promises of a phone call/email that NEVER comes. If this continues, I will surely end this contract.

    The area has 4G coverage and I know that because Verizon sent a technician over to test around the apartment complex. The original issue started back in September when my phone would lose service and die within 3 hours of being fully charged. They sent me a refurbished phone that helped with the battery problem, but did little in terms of service quality. I had countless dropped calls, and had to wander around the apartment in order to make/receive a phone call.
    Finally, I received a refurbished phone (3rd one) which was suppose to include a new SIM card, but unfortunately Verizon forgot to send the card along with the phone. I was able to talk Verizon into paying a small portion of the overall costs involved in purchasing the network extender, which brought along its own set of problems. Although I am able to make/receive phone calls, I now hear a "crackling" noise which the other party does not hear. I spoke with an IT technician who ran a test on my Xfinity Internet speed and found that it was excellent.
    I have spoken with many reps and have yet to really receive any answers. They always promise to call, but always fail to do so. At this point in time, I have not received a single follow-up call. The only proposed solution I have received is purchasing a land-line to be used when I work from home. I realize they do not guarantee indoor service, but when I spend $150 a month for my plan, I expect better service than this.

    I paid for inapp purchases for the below games for my kids awhile ago and afew days ago, when had to restore my cellphone and ipad, when I download those in-app again, I got charged again?

  • Cannot find the download link for the already paid Lion!

    Although I have already purchased the Lion and Apple has already charged my credit card, cannot see the
    download link anywhere ın the ıTunes store. I've checked my downloads folder just to see whether I've already downloaded
    but to no avail. It doesn't show on my account page in my accounts page in the ıTunes store. I do have the order number and everything.
    Could anyone please be kind enough to point me in the right direction?

    Do you mean the App Store?
    Lion is downloaded from the App Store, not through iTunes.

    The account cannot be validated error was due to a glitch on our activation server that has been fixed now.
    Please try using acrobat now and check if you are still facing the problem.

    I would just like to ask another question with regards to my new order for complete Creative Cloud which you suggested. I have now pre-paid for a full year but I’m not
    sure when I can start downloading the other APPS as they don’t seem to be updating on my current Creative Cloud account app display. It still shows my old configuration
    of products (i.e. Photoshop etc) and my ‘activity stream’ relates back to 9 days ago.
    Please let me know how to get my new order activated.

  • STILL WAITING FOR BROADBAND CONNECTION

    I placed an order to switch my phone and broadband from sky to bt on 22nd June 2011.  My line was activated on 13th July and broadband equipment arrived also.  However I got a call saying my line was not capable of holding the 24MB broadband and there would be a couple of days delay and then I would have the 8mb connection.  Several frustrating phonecalls to India and empty promisesof activation  later here we are on 1st August 2011 and I am still waiting, meanwhile my call charges are increasing as my broadband package includes calls.  I was informed that my original broadband order would be cancelled and a new one would be placed and it would take 48 hours to get an activation date.  I have just spoke to them again and they claim to have spoken to the exchange department and now they are telling me I cannot get broadband at all until December and then she cut me off.  As i am still with sky for broadband and the migration has not taken place i am paying an additional £7 per month as i have lost my phone & broadband discount. Now after speaking to someone from BT in the UK I have been told there is a technical problem preventing me from getting broadband.  Please can you help.

  • Do I have to pay for the In-App-Purchase of the new GarageBand-version if I already paid for GarageBand before?

    I am using GarageBand for some months now and I´m really happy with that software. Yesterday the new version (2.0) was released and it is now for free. However if you want the whole bundle you have to get the available in-app-purchase. This however means having to pay once again for something I already paid for, correct?
    Or is the in-app-purchase for free to those people who already paid for the app?

    Just tried - sign in to the account you used to buy the software and click restore purchase. The old Garageband users are automagically given the full version by internal systems of Apple.

  • I recently updated my prepaid plan option to take advantage of more data and my previous month of already paid service was cut short. Who can I contact to successfully resolve this issue?

    I have a prepaid Moto G that has had continuous prepaid service through Verizon for over a year. I switched this device to the $45/mo 512MB Smartphone plan when it was introduced last year, configuring autopay for the 29th of each month for service renewal on the 2nd of the following month and taking advantage of the autopay bonus of 512MB of additional data. On January 30th, I noticed that Verizon had transitioned to an updated plan of $45/mo for 1 GB and selected this new option from my phone on the My Verizon Mobile app with the expectation that this would take effect at my next renewal on February 2nd or at the very least any future months beyond February would have renewal dates of at least the 30th.
    Instead, the $45 balance in my account from January 29th was used and the new plan was implemented immediately, wiping the remaining days from my already paid for service. Furthermore, because February only has 28 days, my new renewal date was set to the 28th not only next month, but for each month thereafter, despite the fact that this change took place on January 30th. At this time, my autopay is configured to occur on the 29th (except for next month), but all future plan renewals will occur a day before that.
    While this may seem like a trivial issue to resolve, my autopay date was configured on the 29th for personal financial reasons and I am extremely frustrated to have lost additional paid for service for the second time. I lost over two weeks of a 2GB plan when moving to the 512MB plan initially, I just lost several days more in this transition, and a 45 minute online chat and two separate trips to a Verizon Wireless store totaling over an hour and a half of time in an attempt to resolve this issue by having my plan renewal date restored to where it was have been unhelpful, with the closest opportunity for resolution being "we can fix it, but we will have to disconnect your phone for several days".
    At this point, I feel that some sort of account credit or allowance is warranted, at the very least, but I would still like resolution on fixing my plan renewal if possible. Who can I contact about this?

    I lost my harddrive with my main iTunes library and my backup was a couple months old (I know, I know, stupid move). Anyway, can I re-download the songs that I'm missing that I've already paid for (and still have the elecronic receipts)?

    Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. If you haven't made a backup, and don't have your tracks on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
    You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.
