Want help in converting XML Document to a postscript file
I want to convert XML Document to a postscript file in Java, not from command line. Any help is appreciated.
well, you first need an XML parser, which is easy to implement
then you need to either write the postscript out bit by bit or use a Java API that writes PostScript for you.
It's really simple, the trick is HOW you decide to write out the PS

Hi folks,
I am using a cascaded mapping in my OM. I have a graphical mapping followed by the Java mapping. It is a flat file to IDOC mapping. Everything works fine in Dev but when I transport the same objects to QA, the Operation mapping though it doesn't fail in ESR testing tool, gives the following message and there is no output generated for the same payload which is successfully tested in DEV. Please advise on what could be the possible reasons.
Unable to display tree view; Error when parsing an XML document (Premature end of file.)kalyan,
There seems to be an invalid xml payload which causes this error in ESR not generating the tree view. Please find the similar error screenshot and rectify the payload.

Saving a document as a postscript file
How can I save a document as a postscript file in Leopard? In Tiger, one could create a virtual postscript printer. These instructions do not seem to apply to Leopard.
Thanks.I would say it depends upon the application. In TextEdit or Preview (or any Apple application) you just go to Print, click on the PDF button, and choose "Save as Postscript..."
In what application are you trying to save to a Postscript? -
Help in creating XML documents in ABAP using XI in new version ECC6.0
Hello All:
I am pretty comfortable with XML and XSLT but new to XI. Is there a way of creating XML documents in ABAP using XI in new version ECC6.0? Please provide me with any links or any information you may have. All the answers will be rewarded.
Thanks.
Mithunhi,
U cant create XML data in ABAP.
to send the data to the XI, u have to use the IDOC or RFC FM, from there IDOC or RFC adapters will read the data in the same format and these adapters will convert the data in to XML .Bcoz XI understand only XML data.
from there XI will process and route them to Destination, by using anthor adapter.
here u can use file adapter if u want data in file foramat from the IDOC or RFC .
So XI is the integration tool only.
reward points if helpful

How to convert XML document to xml variable?
Hi,
I have taken an xml variable in my process and reading a xml document file. Can anyone tell me how can i convert this xml document to xml variable so that i can parse the xml variable.
I am able to convert xml variable to xml document variable by using set value activity. But how do I perform reverse process.
I want to perform this conversion because i want to keep xml data in document format on storage drive and then parse this xml data so that i can read the nodes.
Any help will be appreciated..
Regards
Sunilwe can use set value activity to reach these xml docs and assign it to xml variable.
Then parsing of this xml can be browsed to find the nodes.

Converting XML Document to String
Dear All,
I am quite new to Java Web Services. I have made a Java Class which calls all the web services . I am displaying the results on a Command prompt. Below is my sample code:
import javax.xml.rpc.Service;
import javax.xml.rpc.Stub;
import horusWS.Horus_x0020_Web_x0020_Services_Impl;
import horusWS.Horus_x0020_Web_x0020_ServicesSoap;
public class JavaClient {
public static void main(String[] args)
Horus_x0020_Web_x0020_Services_Impl service = new Horus_x0020_Web_x0020_Services_Impl();
Horus_x0020_Web_x0020_ServicesSoap port = service.getHorus_x0020_Web_x0020_ServicesSoap();
String str;
str = port.getTextFeedbackLearner(1,"P001",1);
//where getTextFeedbackLearner is the my Web Service.
System.out.println(str);
System.out.println returns the web service in string format. Now I want to compare this string to my actual getTextFeedbackLearner.xml file. But I think I need to convert getTextFeedbackLearner.xml to string first. Please let me know
how can I convert an XML Document to String.
Thanking you in Anticipation.
cheers,
Sunil SabirYou can read the XML document as you read any other file.
Read it into a String variable.

Need help in Parsing XML Document in Oracle
Hello Experts,
I urgently need your help. We have xml document on the Web but not on the File System. How can I parse the xml document on the web in Oracle.
Any link, blog or sample code would be appreciated.
Your help would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Bhavin
London, UKThis breaks down to two issues
1) Getting the XML into Oracle
2) Parsing the XML inside Oracle
For #1, the first two options that come to my mind are httpuirtype and utl_http. Both can be used to get information from a URL that understands HTTP requests.
For #2, you can treat the XML as a DOMDocument or XMLType to parse it. You also could parse it via a SQL statement using XQuery or XMLTable as well.
Many of those examples can be found on the {forum:id=34} forum or [Marco's blog|http://www.liberidu.com/blog/]. A few parsing examples that I've done can be seen at {message:id=3610259}, make sure to also follow the link I put in there to a previous example before that. -

Want to load an xml document directly into an Oracle table
From the Oracle XML Applications book pg: 106/107
there is an example where it inserts into a Oracle table from the xml_documents table. What I would like to do is insert directly from the xml document and was able to but not able to get rid of the inserting into xml_documents section.
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE insertXmlFile( dir VARCHAR2,
file VARCHAR2,
myTable varchar2,
name VARCHAR2 := NULL) IS
theBFile BFILE;
theCLob CLOB;
theDocName VARCHAR2(200) := NVL(name,file);
BEGIN
-- (1) Insert a new row into xml_documents with an empty CLOB, and
-- (2) Retrieve the empty CLOB into a variable with RETURNING..INTO
INSERT INTO xml_documents(XML_DOCUMENT_NM,XML_DOCUMENT_TX)
VALUES('DELETE ME',empty_clob())
RETURNING XML_DOCUMENT_TX INTO theCLob;
-- (3) Get a BFile handle to the external file
theBFile := BFileName(dir,file);
-- (4) Open the file
dbms_lob.fileOpen(theBFile);
-- (5) Copy the contents of the BFile into the empty CLOB
dbms_lob.loadFromFile(dest_lob => theCLob,
src_lob => theBFile,
amount => dbms_lob.getLength(theBFile));
-- (5a) Insert the rows into the proper table
insProc(theClob, myTable);
-- (6) Close the file and commit
dbms_lob.fileClose(theBFile);
delete from xml_documents
where xml_document_nm = 'DELETE ME';
COMMIT;
END;
execute insertXmlFile ('XMLFILES','emp.xml','emp')Yes I would like to insert directly from an emp.xml file and load it directly into an emp table and not have to load the document in the xml_documents table and then insert into the emp table like I am doing in this procedure.

Help - Inserting an XML document into a Oracle 8i Column (CLOB Type)
Hi JavaGurus,
I am looking for a simple java code which will take my XML document as input and insert the same into a Oracle 8i database's column which is of type CLOB.
Insert statement won't work and I can not use SQL Loader.
Any one?
JKMaybe you can adapt some of the code in Oracle's "LOB Datatype" example, which is a complete working program that stores and retrieves BLOBs and CLOBs.

Hi Edit Converted Word Doc,
What's happening when you try to edit the file? Have you tried triple-clicking in the text block that you want to edit?
Please let us know what sort of trouble you're running into. It would also be helpful to know how the PDF file was created, and what version of Word you're using.

How to write an xml Document to a flat file using JAVA....
Can any one help me out.....
How to write a XML Document to the current filesystem using JAVA....
without using com.sun.xml.tree.*....
Document xmlDoc;
Node rows = (Node) xmlDoc.createElement("ROWS");
xmlDoc.appendChild(rows);
and i have to write this xmlDoc to a file called(abc.xml) for further use...Have you considered using JDOM? ( www.jdom.org )
The XMLOutputter class can write the Document to a file. ( The Document however will be an org.jdom.Document object ).
If you are weary of a new API, you could just create a new File object called abc.xml and stream the data from the XML Document you have to this new File object.
