Want remote display
Dear friends
i have two sun blade-100 systems in diffrent rooms i want to see the display of the other systems user's activity like " i want to see the netscape brousing of other system's user"
remotely from my system
I think you need to be more clear in your question. Do you want to display applications from a remote SUN box locally on your terminal? That can be done easily.
1. On your local box give permission to display applications via the "xhost" command.
% xhost <IP address of remote server> (or hostname)
or
% xhost +
(to allow any server to display their apps on your local machine. Less secure...but maybe you don't care)
2. Login to remote box and point the DISPLAY variable back to your local machine. Thus
% export DISPLAY=10.124.8.100:0
(if your local box was 10.124.8.100) and assuming you are using the bash shell.
3. On remote box, start a GUI app, e.g. Netscape or xterm...should be on your local machine now.
Easy. If your local box is a PC, you need 3rd party application, like "exceed" to be running.
However, if you want to "snoop" on users of these 2 boxes in different rooms, that's a different ball game. You need to be more clear on your question :)

You can follow the below steps to achieve the desired output :
1) Create a formula in the query designer . Suppose your key figure is Y which you want to display with % symbol .
Take this key figure in the formula . Then from the Percentage Functions choose (%A)Percentage Share. Then after this write 100 .
So your formula would be : Y %A 100 .
2) Hide your original key figure Y and display this formula in the report . It will come with the percentage symbol .
Hope the above steps will help you to achieve the desired output .

Dear Users....I Dont want to display "Report Successfully Run" applet after my report runs successfully. I'm calling report from Forms-10g Rel.2 and my browser is Internet Explorer ver.6. Wants to display variable as key value in Free Char section of report
Hi All,
I have a variable based on characteristic. When I execute report, I pass value for that variable. And I get text of that variable value, displayed in Free Characteristic section.
Instead of text, I want to display key value there.B'coz many times, texts are ambiguous and quite fictional examples.
I have tried changing 'Display as key' in Business explorer tab of infoobject definition. And in query definition, I already have 'Display as Key'. So I am wondering what else needs to be done for this change.
I will appreciate if someone can help me on this.

You can display all variables used in Query in workbook from BEx Menu(Tool bar) -->> Layout --> Display Text eliments --> Variables (you can see two entries for each variable) one for key and one for Text.

I have extracted the image from the database as a byte array, and displayed it using a servlet.
Here is the method in the servlet which does the displaying:
(since I'm writing one byte at a time, it's probably not terribly efficient but it works)

Just declare a counter before fetching the resultset data and increment the counter by 1 whenever you get the data and if the counter returns 0 then display your alert message.
For example:

Im displaying a summary report for Closed call.
I want to display the Number of Service Orders Closed With in 1 day and Out side 1 day.
For example:
Brand......ASP...................With in 1day...............................Outside 1 day
ABC1........ALPHA Tec...........24................................................5
BCD2..........BETA Tec.............76................................................7
The difference of days I have brought using 2 variables (1. is for closed date and 2. is for service order created date)
In the Formula Variable I have (Subscrated Closed date - Created Date)
I'm not very sure how to bring the count of the service order that are closed with in 1 day and outside 1day.
Please help.

This could be achieved through Data model level as well:
1. By assuming you have two date char Created date and closing date.
2. Create a char (On-time) flag and populate flag by ABAP coding if Closing - Created = 1 then field should be Check ("X").
3. Restrict your report with this Flag to find out number of Service orders on-time.
4. Define a counter KYF in your data model and maintain fixed value = 1 in your cube / ODS.
This is one approach let me know if any further information is required.

so sorry, but you have to use some of the objects you do not want to:
Currency values in ABAP are stored in currency fields (type CURR). If they are stored in structures or database, every CURR field must be connected to a CUKY field (currency key).
Displaying data using WRITE statement four output on a list is obsolete technique, you may use the use WRITE with the option CURRENCY c to format according to currency c in table TCURX.
SAP recommends to use ALV technique. If you use ALV to display structure data, then create a dictionary structure with currency value and currency key. The rest goes automatically.
Believe me: It is much easier and more reliable.

I have an xml and I want to query for a particular sub element within it. I can't find any help on this in any of the documentation. All I find is the getVariableData but it can only query on xml that is defined to have part names. How to query on an
