Wait till you got home, if you didn't set up the service int he first place you can't do it now. Sadly contating your carrier and police from here is all you can do

  • Iphone 4 not syncing to itunes

My iphone 4 will not sync to itunes. itunes recognizes it but when i sync, it will say that the syncing failed to start. Any advice?

I am having a problem with my iPhone 4 not syncing to iTunes in Win 7. It says "cannot read contents of iPhone, please click on restore to reset the iPhone to original factory setting."
I have tried many possible solutions but still the problem persists.
    Including
    1.  Reinstalling iTunes
    2.  Power cycling my iPhone
    3.  Disengaging the iPhone automatic synchronization in iTunes
    4.  Deleting all previous iPhone sync backups
    5.  "Resetting the sync backups"
    6.  "Resetting the network settings" on my iPhone
    FYI
    1.  Ironically, I am able to copy my pictures and videos from the iPhone using Windows Explorer.
    2.  All of the music was strangly deleted from my iPhone
    3.  The problem appears to have coincided when I installed iTunes 10 on August 31st.
    4.  At the time of that the problem surfaced, I had used almost all of the 32 GB of memory on my iPhone and was not able to take iPhone videos because of an error message that my "memory was full" [I have since deleted 5 GB of Apps from my iPhone and it currently says I have 4.5 GB of free space when it is shown in Windows Explorer].
    5.  The Hotspot feature on my iPhone abruptly stopped working around the same time that the problem surfaced. When I was last able to use the Hotspot feature, my iPhone indicated that there were actually 2 devices connected to my iPhone 4 Hotspot. But I have never given out my password, so possibly my iPhone was accessed by an unauthorized user.
How do I fix this "will not read contents of the iPhone issue?

My iphone will not sync to itunes. It will connect to the computer but will not show up anywhere in itunes. PLEASE HELP!!

    Hey there Kellee,
It sounds like the device drivers for your iPhone are working in Windows, but the phone is not showing in iTunes. You should be able to get that showing again with the steps in this article:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538
Start with these three steps, and there are more in the article if you need them.
    1. Update iTunes
Check that you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. In iTunes, select "Check for updates" in the Help menu.
    2. Check the USB cable
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might support only charging those products (and not transmitting data) or they might work only with the product with which they were sold. Using one of these cables to sync could cause issues. If you are using a third-party case, such as an extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.
    3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
iOS devices require Apple Mobile Device Support, which should be automatically installed with iTunes. To verify whether it is installed, follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below.
Windows XP: Click Start and choose Control Panel. Open the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel and verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Click Start and choose Control Panel. Click "Uninstall a program" (or if using Windows Vista's Classic View of the Control Panel, click "Programs and Features"). Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
Windows 8: Move the cursor to the upper right corner, click the magnifying glass, type Control Panel, and press Return. Click "Uninstall a program". Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
If Apple Mobile Device Support is not listed, remove iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, Apple Application Support, and then reinstall iTunes. Follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below:
    Reinstall iTunes for Windows XP
Reinstall iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
If after reinstalling iTunes Apple Mobile Device Support is still not installed, follow steps in Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

Hello , I bought an Iphone 5s gold GSM ios 7.1.2 16g and when I restored it, It locked by Icloud and I don't have any Number or Address of previous owner so what I have to do please help me thanks

You will have to contact the previous owner, only he/she can remove the phone from their account. You don't have any contact details for the person that you bought the phone from, email address, phone number, postal address ? If you can't contact them then you won't be able to reactivate and use the phone.

    Hello,
First thing (may sound trivial) is to check you have the latest version of iTunes installed.

Also, if on a computer running Windows OS, check this article:  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
    Hope this helps.

  • IPhone 5C not syncing to ITunes

I look at all discussions on apple support. I have erase the contents of my iPhone 5C twice and tried to syncs to iTunes. I have restarted my windows computer. I have restarted my phone. I have selected only for the iPhone not to backup on iCloud. The computer and iPhone are connected to the same internet. This is actually not working for my iPad as well. I have the newest version of iTunes. (11.1.4) please help.

    You're welcome.
There is no devices tab. If the devices are not recognized by iTunes when connected to your computer - not available under Devices in the iTunes source list, check this link.

  • My iPhone is not syncing and iTunes is going wack. Can anyone explain what's happening?

I guess this could constitute mainly as an iTunes problem, but there is disconnect with my IPhone 5. I have just recently added new songs to my iTunes and when I plugged my iPhone in, it didn't sync. At first I really didn’t care much about it. It usually does the same thing to my younger sister’s iPod touch. I assumed that all I’d have to do is go to my song menu and check the artists and songs I wanted to add. After doing this, I clicked apply and then sync and still the music didn’t download. Again, I didn’t worry much about it (and this could be my mistake) and I tried another solution that helped me with my old iPhone. I just checked off of music as a whole, clicked apply, synced, and then waited for iTunes to tell me the sync was over. This was unsuccessful. On iTunes, under ‘On this iPhone’ it said I had no music, however my iPhone still had all of my songs and playlists. This confused me so I took it a step further and caused more damage. I rechecked music (this time clicking add entire music library as opposed to only checked items), applied the changes, plugged my iPhone back in, and synced again. My iPhones library did not change. The number of songs I had remained the same. However, this time on the computer, iTunes told me I only had three songs under ‘On this iPhone’ but the capacity bar below told me a completely different number of songs than the ‘On this iPhone’ section and the number of song read on my iPhone. At this point I gave up meddling with everything and ejected my iPhone. I don’t want to delete and re-upload iTunes to my computer unless I absolutely have to (because I will lose all of my purchased music, apps, books, etc.). Does anyone know what’s wrong with my devices? Is there an easy fix, and if I have to delete and reload iTunes is there a way to do it without losing all of my stuff? I’m desperate for help, I don’t want to mess with it any more unless I’m absolutely sure the next time I plug my phone in it won’t experience and ultimate malfunction. Anyone with a solution is greatly appreciated.

    Hey DaddyPaycheck and Japamac,
    Thanks both for your replies.
    +You are a tenacious one, that's for sure! :-)+
I don't know if that's a good thing in this case.....;)
I do agree with the statement that it cannot handle dual processors. I swapped the the "original" working CPU with the "original" one I thought was giving me problems. It is now running (although showing as single) with the CPU I thought was bad. Both sets, original and untested, will work together and register as dual, but will be unreliable and randomly freeze.
+The defining bit of data would be if you could determine that one socket or the other is continually working, or if one is sporadic (thus explaining the occurrence of the pair working).+
I'm having trouble narrowing down that part. I can swap them back and forth and get the same result-so both sockets seem to be working. But like I said when both pairs are couple together, it shows as dual, and it works for a certain amount of time. So I know they are working to a certain degree. But when they're mixed, only one (don't know which one) is being seen.
Yes, I've run thermal calibration and everything goes fine. Even with the diagnostic disc, when the CPUs are mixed, hardware specs show one CPU. But when the original pairs are coupled, it will show both.
This is like a splinter that I can't get out. It runs great as one CPU, and I could let it go like that, but knowing that it could (and should) be dual is driving me nuts.
Is there anything either of you can think of that I can try?

  • ITunes 11.2 help: iphone will not sync to itunes and shows up as "Apple iPhone" not "________'s iPhone"

I just updated to itunes 11.2 yesterday and all of a sudden, I can't sync my phone to my computer anymore (I have a windows 8 laptop). I don't know what happened and I tried to connect with my normal charger first & it didn't work. I used another USB cable that I had, but it didn't work either. I've restarted my computer and iPhone which didn't work either. I also tried repairing iTunes and disabling/enabling it, but that didn't work either. Please help!

    I've discovered the following problems:
    1) New Calendar entries on my iPhone do not appear to sync to the PC
    2) A new calendar under My Calendars is created and named "Home"
    3) The new entries as described in number 1 above show up in this new "Home" calendar
    4) New Calendar entries created in Outlook 2007 under the "Calendar" calendar sync to the iPhone
    5) New Calendar entries created in Outlook 2007 under the "Home" calendar sync to the iPhone
    6) New Calendar entries created on the iPhone sync to the Outlook 2007 "Home" calendar
    7) If I delete the "Home" calendar in Outlook 2007 and clear the Deleted Items folder to completely remove it, it will be recreated next time I sync to the iPhone (I have to make a new iPhone Calendar entry for this to happen).
    My current config:
    - iPhone 1.1.3
    - Windows Vista
    - Outlook 2007
    - iTunes 7.7
This appears to have started Thursday night July 10th. That is when I installed iTunes 7.7. I may not have noticed except that I was trying to upgrade to iPhone 2.0 and was getting an error -43 during the backup process. I was informed that the upgrade couldn't backup my iPhone and that all iPhone data would be erased.

Without serial number it is impossible to install it on another machine.  However, if the product is still installed on your old machine then I suggest you should register it with Adobe so that the serial number can be recorded on Adobe servers.  To register the product, you need to go to:
    Help >> Product Registration
This way the system will get the product serial number from the old machine and put it on Adobe servers.  You can then login on Adobe servers using your AdobeID and retrieve it to use it when installing it on your new machine.
You are aware that you can install Adobe products on two devices at any one time right?  Also, if you are not going to use your old machine then you could deactivate the product from that machine so that you don't waste your two installations unnecessarily.
Good luck and please post back how did you get on.

You must restore your iPhone with iTunes - with iTunes on the computer used for syncing your iPhone.
With your iPhone connected to iTunes, select Restore under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Iphone 5s not syncing to itunes

Hi I updated my iTunes last month and ever since then my iPhone 5s wont sync to my iTunes, I've tried my aunts phone which is the same as mine and it didn't sync either and then I tried my boyfriends iPhone 4 and it connected and synced. I have deleted iTunes and downloaded it again and still nothing. Please help me I want to add my new songs on my phone.

    Hi louiseannee,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
There are a couple of different steps I would suggest in your case. When you deleted iTunes did you delete all of its components in the correct order as well? If not, I would suggest deleting iTunes again along with the components and install fresh and test. Below are two articles for uninstalling iTunes correctly; use the correct article for the version of Windows that you have on your computer.
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
If after reinstalling fresh the syncing issue continues, I suggest reading over the following article to make sure you sync settings are correct.
iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • IPhone will not sync in iTunes

When I initially installed the upgrade (iOS 5), I was able to sync with iTunes.  Now I cannot sync my iPhone in iTunes.  What happened? How can I resolve the problem?

A little more detail would be most useful.
IF you're doing this wirelessly, try this:  Quit iTunes and turn off WiFi on your iPhone.  Turn WiFi back on and re-open iTunes.  If you're on a mac, toggle WiFi on and off as well.  It has worked for me in the past.
If you're connecting via USB, is it not recognizing the iphone at all? Have you dropped your phone or could you have damaged your connector in any other way?
