Want to upgrade firmware - What will be reset?
I want to upgrade my firmware to the latest Curve 8900 firmware from T-Mobile. I've installed a couple of apps which I don't mind reinstalling or reconfiguring, but I'm more concerned with losing settings such as my profiles, which are pretty complicated and tough to document well.
When I do a firmware upgrade, what settings will get reset to factory defaults, and what will be left as is?

Do a full backup of your device before doing the upgrade, then restore the backup your settings will be restored.

I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

Not trying to circumvent any feature or security of the hardware. I am the owner of the hardware, I know the current firmware password. I am simply trying to turn off my current firmware password so that I may reset the PRAM to fix a failed OS install. The instructions to turn off the current firmware password should also include having to enter in the current firmware password as done on previous models with the boot CD. This feature was made available to all models because it is a security must have and it abides by industry-standard security procedures as stated in HIPPA and other ISO standards.

WRT54g V6, constant disconnect.. 2 week old unit.. upgraded firmware -- what the..?
I upgraded firmware to the latest(november one). I reseted both router and cable modem and all 3 computer using it.
I've tried something like 100 MTU number, and I still get the same disconnection problems.. seems the power LED is blinking while I get disconnected.
it seems this is a pretty bad router, that gets overwhelmed when you download too much on two or more computer simultaneously.
all my computers are using WIRED connections.
I need help before I terminate this unit with a large wooden club.
really need help, if linksys doesnt want to lose a customer forever.
ps:also -- whats up with the cheap 2mb flash and 8mb ram on this version? earlier version of this unit had 4mb flash and 16mb ram.. im very sad to see you guys downgrading with higher version numbers.. nice marketing!I mean I tried 100 different MTU number from 1500 to 1000, with nothing happening..

Also if i load Mavericks will I still be able to revert back if I don't like the format?Upgrading from 10.6 will loose Rosetta and therefore, all legacy software that relies on Rosetta. That includes things like MS Office versions older than 2008.
You need to make a backup of your content, on an external drive, before updating so you have a means for reverting if necessary. To revert to an older version of Mac OS X you have to erase the hard drive and then reinstall the older Mac OS X and all content. That is easiest if done from a complete backup of your current system. -

If you are using ethernet, try the update with wifi.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
1. Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
2. Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
3. Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
4. Open iTunes.
5. Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

You will have to re input your passwords for each site or app you open that you had stored in your old keychain.
You might try opening the Keychain application and see if your old one is there. Select it and try using Keychain First Aid to repair it. -
