WAR within EAR is using the same classloader as the EAR

Hi all,
From documentation, I understand that each WAR web application that are packaged within EAR should have a separate (child) classloader and should not be using the same classloader as the EAR. I have two WAR files and some JAR files all packaged and deployed as an EAR. Using the Classloader Analysis Tool, I think the two web applications (WARs) are actually using the same classloader as the EAR. I say this because:
1. The application class loader listed for the web apps has the same hashcode as the class loader listed for the EAR.
2. I tried to add the <prefer-web-inf-classes> element within the WAR's weblogic.xml file and it doesn't seem to work. The web app is still using classes loaded in the EAR. This is consistent with my observation that the classloader for the WARs has the same hashcode as the classloader for the EAR - therefore I think they are using the same classloader.
I don't understand this behavior. I thought WARs are supposed to be using different/child classloaders from the EAR by default. Do I have to specifically declare my own customer <classloader-structure> within weblogic-application.xml in order to have child classloaders for the WARs within my EAR?
Thanks for any help.

We are doing it currently as we are switching over from Exchange 5.5 to OCS. We set up a profile using the Oracle connector and then go into properties and add the Exchange account. We used this method to move files from the Exchange server to the Oracle server by having both profiles running.

  • Referencing Shared Java EE Libs in Weblogic from WAR inside EAR

We have a number of applications that need to reference to both Oracle and our own Shared Java EE Libraries on WebLogic. They are structured as folows:
Our own shared library, "framework", is packaged as a JAR inside an EAR, along with all non-Oracle, third-party libraries (JAR:s) and deployed as a shared library in WebLogic. This is it's manifest:

All libraries are deployed by default or deploy correctly in WL. As does the application EAR.
But, when I access the application i get runtime errors saying it can't load resources located in the WAR:s WEB-INF/classes dir!?
However, I can see, from log output, that it loads resources from the Framework EAR. Why does WL not seem to care about the contents of my WAR?

If I use the Admin Server Console to view the shared library, I can see ecif-ear(1.0,1.0) in the Deployments list. Its State is shown as "Active", Type is "Library", Deployment Order is 100.
I deployed the shared library using the Admin Server Console but deployed the referencing application using WorkShop for WebLogic Platform by Run As -> Run on Server. The Eclipse error log shows the following Exception Stack Trace:

  • Execute procedure in a package using the caller privileges?

Is it possible to execute a procedure within a package using the privileges of the caller rather than the privileges of the package owner? So if we have a procedure that does a select, one that does an insert, and another for update and a 4th for delete, then we just want to grant execute to user X on the select procedure in the package. This is a developer request. I think I just need to tell the requestor to copy or move the procedure out of the package and into it's own procedure so that it's safe to run by user X and not grant execute on the package since I don't believe it is possible to specify what procedures in a package are granted execute since that command is a blanket for the whole package right?
Example - fails due to specifying the proc:
    grant execute on scmemaname.pkgname.procname to usr;
There's no other command to do that is there?
    Thanks,
    Dave

AUTHID is at the package level ... not the individual function or procedure.
    Create a second package.

  • Screen Saver when calling and need to use the Keypad, the screen saver doesn't detect the phone has left the ear and blanks out the screen.  Even ending a call is difficult as the screen blanks out within seconds

I have to use the Keypad a lot when making calls.  Make the call, the Robot then asks to enter a number for a service, pull the phone down from the ear, the screen may light up for a second, but then the screen saver cuts in, blanking the screen out.  Sometimes you hit the Home Key to awaken the sccreen, enter your number and then back to the ear to hear the next set of instructions.  Back and forth just trying to enter the options is a pain.  Sometimes even trying to end the call, the screen blanks out and you fight to try and end a call.
If I use the Speaker function the keypad works; the speakler phone is not alway appropriate.
It appears that the phone gyro, doesn't detect the phone has moved from the ear to the viewing angle.  This wasn't an issue until recently and I can't remeber if it's the iPhone 5 or one of the updates.  It definitly wasn't there earlier on, as I threw away an Windows 6.5 phone for the same problem.
I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software (design) issue.

It is not the gyro. This has everything to do with the iPhone's prioximity sensor.
Are you using a case that may be blocking or partially blocking the proximity sensor? If you are using the case, remove the case prior to the next call to see if the same occurs without the case.

  • API0408: Within same namespace domain one object has already used the name

Noticed when dimensiions imported in via mdl file, onl levels tab, applicable items box are al unchecked
When try add check the box to match what existed in 10.2.0.4 get message
Within same namespace domain one object has already used the name <object_name>
Can recreate the dimensions but didn't wantto have to.

Are you going to be deploying the dimensions? The namespace was changed in the database for dimensions and tables and I think that's why you are getting that error from OWB. If you are not deploying the dimensions then I think you can configure the module to generate 10gR2 code and avoid the validation error - otherwise you will have to change the dimension names ... I think.

  • Two web apps using the same EJB client jar

I am currently deploying two web apps on a server. Both web apps use an EJB client
jar (the same jar) to access EJB's and both apps work when tested independently.
The problem arises when I log into app A and then log into app B. As soon as
I do app A loses it's references to the EJBHomes, and other classes.
It seems a classloader is unloading the first classes and instances loaded by
the first app and then loading them from app B's client.jar.
If I put the client.jar in the system classpath everything is fine, but that's
    just a hack.
Is it not possible to deploy two web apps on a server using the same client.jar's
    in their own WEB-INF/lib's?

    Joe,
As Pravin mentions, the checking of those boxes in Workbench triggers scheduled jobs within the EAC that kicks off the scripts at the appropriate time/day. But as you've noticed, there's not a ton of flexibility and you don't get cron or Windows Scheduler-type capabilities.
If you need to do something special, you can manually kick off the report generation scripts from your control directory using the runcommand.bat (or sh) script or place the command into a cron/Windows Scheduler job:
For example, to kick off the WeeklyReports job, you would do this:
runcommand.sh WeeklyReports runSo, assuming you go down the route of creating multiple ReportGenerators and scripts, you would create a job to kick off the new script you've created at the appropriate time.
    Hope that helps,
    Patrick

Thanks, for pointing to the metalink bug, I have also searched in metalink, but didn't find this bug.
I have a little bit more information about the problem.

When I execute the same select using execute immediate like:
    declare
       ln_count number;
    begin
       execute immediate q'[<select statement>]' into ln_count;
end; This takes 3:56 minutes to complete.
When I change the second coalesce part (the one within the exists) in the flowing way:
    the part
    coalesce (s.end_val_dat, to_date ('99991231', 'yyyymmdd')) >= sysdate
    is replaced by
s.end_val_dat >= sysdate or s.end_val_dat is nullthen the execution time is even faster (560 msecs) in both, the plain select and the select using the execute immediate.

  • If two people use one computer, but we have separte itunes accounts, Apple ID, and icloud will my apps I get be stored in their account too since we are using the same computer?

If two people share the same computer, but have separate itunes account, Apple ID, and icloud and one of them downloads an app will it also go into the other persons account since y'all use the same computer

If you  have separate user accounts on the computer, then your downloaded apps are stored in your iTunes Library. See the following for dealing with having multiple users on the same computer: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer.
Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data.  Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • Can I use the same Apple ID for multiple devices

Can I use the same Apple ID for multiple devices?

Yes. Up to five devices can be authorized on a single computer using the same Apple ID. You can also use the same Apple ID on multiple devices is they are all going to use the same iTunes Library by the same user. But it's ill-advised if multiple users are involved who wish to keep their devices separate from the devices belonging to other users.

I'm using same apple id for my ipad & ipod but after start using the same apple id on my ipad, i can't update my free software downloaded on both, it's showing "YOU CAN NOT UPDATE THIS SOFTWARE SINCE YOU HAVE NOT OWNED THE MAJOR VERSION OF THIS SOFTWARE" so how i can update my softwares on ipad & ipod using the same apple id

I think the issue is that iTunes (for whatever reason) thinks I have two Apple ID's.
also, to further complicate the issue, when i try updating the apps from my iPod the iTunes store is still recognizing my old hotmail Apple ID. So when I go to enter my password it won't accept because it doesn't match with the old Apple ID, even though it is the same account (just new Apple ID name).
I have tried signing out within the App Store and re-signing in with my Apple ID but it still brings up my old Apple ID name when I try to update.

  • How To Use The Same Library - MacBook Pro's And Windows XP Pro?

Background:  I have a fully configured MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.3. Also, I run Windows XP Pro SP3 using Parallels Desktop. My primary iTunes Library and all content is stored on an external hard disk and the iTunes is "pointed" to that location by setting the iTunes' Preferences' Advanced Settings to the full path where the Library is located. Everything I have inside iTunes works perfect - the size if the Library is over 225GB!
BUT, when I install and use iTunes on my Windows XP Pro operating system (under Parallels), the contents of the Library SEEMS to work okay (while I'm in Windows) but the Windows' iTunes Library location in Preferences' Advance Tab is NOT THE SAME LOCATION AS IS THE MAC's LIBRARY LOCATION! It is not at the same location as my main/primary iTunes Library is "pointed to".
The problem occurs when I close Windows and return to the Mac OS X and then try to use my primary iTunes. All of the contents (and any content) within iTunes no longer work! When I attempt to play ANY song, movie, TV show, music video, audiobook, etc., a message pops up saying in effect "Location of 'x' can't be found, do you want to locate it?" I can then click 'yes' and navigate to the Library file that contains the song's file and it will then play fine, as it should. BUT, ONLY THAT SINGLE SONG WILL WORK - THE REMAINING 225GB STILL DON'T WORK!!!
So, I am forced to go into iTunes' Preferences' Advanced tab and click on "Change Location" then navigate to the proper library file (NOTE, THE LOCATION HAD BEEN CHANGED TO THE LOCATION FOR THE WINDOWS' LIBRARY LOCATION!!!)! Doing this corrects the primary iTunes functionality, but only after being forced to deleting the "iTunes Media Folder", quit iTunes, restart iTunes and Consolidate the Library - a whole bunch of steps and time to get back to "normal"!!!!!
Again, this all happens by going into Windows, opening its iTunes, then THAT triggers the entire scenario I've described above - EVERY TIME!
Thus, I avoid iTunes when I go into Windows, but I should NOT have to avoid using iTunes inside Windows! I hope I have described the problem/issues well enough that someone of you experts can provide a practical solution for me.
A potential remedy I've thought of is:  Go into Windows' iTunes then go into its Preferences' Advance tab and change ITS location to be the exact same location as the primary Mac OS X's, click OK, then immediately close that iTunes.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE IT WILL WORK - I.e., USING THE EXACT SAME LIBRARY LOCATION FOR BOTH iTUNES?????
IF THIS WOULD WORK, WHAT ELSE MUST I DO TO EITHER iTUNES OR TO BOTH iTUNES TO USE BOTH iTUNES
              USING THE SAME LIBRARY???
Thank you for any suggested solutions - VERY MUCH!
    Larry

Note that sharing a folder between different OS that use different file paths is not recommended as some files can have an absolute path or other OS specific data.
You can click the Choose Folder button if you want to create or use a folder in a different location.<br />
Make sure to select an empty folder (you need to create this folder in advance) and not a folder that already has files as Firefox will use the specified location in this case.

  • Location Service Problem! I Moved To A New House, and Used The Same Wifi, But My iPod Touch(4th Gen. iOS 6) Is Still Using My Old Location/Address and Not My New One, How Do I Fix This?

I Moved From New York To Florida, But Kept The Same WiFi/Router, But The Maps App and My iPod Touch(4th Gen. & iOS 6) Is Still Registering My Location In New York.

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

  • MDT Console with more then 15 machines, How to use the same drivers for more machines.

    Hello,
I'm am looking for a solution to make our MDT design as effective as possible(as small as posible).
    The Situation:
The company has more then 15 different computers added to the MDT console for the automated installation of Windows 7. The installations are done in 2 different ways, 1 with a local USB key installation (with the deployment folder on the USB key) and the other
installation is a network USB key installation (with the deployment folder on the server).
The local USB key exists for offices in parts of the world where the internet connection is poor.
    The problem:
We have machines which can use the same driver for different kinds of hardware functions (LAN, WLAN, etc..)
If we add a new machine to the MDT and we don't check the box for "Import drivers even if they are duplicates of an existing driver" we will automatic use the driver which already exists in the deployment folder. If say half a year
later we stop using an older machine which "may" have drivers that are being used for other machines and we delete the machine from MDT we should
NOT check the box "Completely delete these items, even if there are copies in other folders". The problem is that this can also lead to a lot of unused drivers in the deployment folder also because we do not know exactly how many
computers are using a certain driver.
At the moment we have another deployment share with for each machine its own drivers installed (so some drivers will be multiple times in the deployment folder) as you can guess this becomes really big.(deployment folder of more then 24 GB). The advantage
of this is that we can delete a machine from the MDT list without having to worry if the drivers for that machine might be used by other machines. It is now just becoming to big in size(GB).
    The Question:
Is there not an option within MDT that checks automatically if the drivers connected to a certain machine in MDT are being used by other machines? In this case we would check the box "Completely delete these items, even if there are copies in other folders"
and MDT would not delete the drivers which are still used for the installations of other computers.
    Thanks in advance.

    Arie,
I think you are over-complicating this. Basically using drivers that already exist is the way to go. Otherwise drivers will be imported a second, third or fourth time. Which also takes up allot of disk space. If you're concerned about driver management,
then I would suggest to drop your concerns, since there is nothing to less you can do about this particular issue. As long as you don't delete the driver that's been imported earlier by another machine there is nothing to worry.
    Ask yourself:
    - how long am I going to support model x
    - how many times do I want to update drivers
With selection profiles you can easily target which content needs to go where (on your USB drive of-course)
I can imagine that managing 25 shares for 25 different models, just because you 'refuse' to have old drivers in your share, or have removed support for some hardware models, isn't really time and energy efficient too.
If you take a look in your deploymentshare\control folders you will see some XML files. These XML files hold all the entries in your deploymentshare. So your drivers.xml and drivergroups.xml (depending on the number of groups you have) are going to be very
big XML files. These XML files are read by MDT to identify the objects in MDT and under which folder the objects are located.
It's not possible to create or have an dependency between driver files and hardware models, other then creating groups under "Out-of-box Drivers" and using selection profiles.
Another suggestion would be to decrease your number of hardware models drastically. On the other hand, having 25 Gb of offline media isn't really a big deal either. Portable and removable media of those sizes (32 and 64 Gb) isn't that expensive as it used
    to be 5 years ago.
Don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand your desire to manage this, but MDT doesn't provide any other way, then the things I have pointed out to you here.
    Good luck! :)

  • How can I use the same catalog on PC and MAC?

I keep my catalog and photos on an external hard drive.  I have both PCs and a MAC and I would like to be able to access the same catalog of photos on both my PC and my MAC using LR2.  I am using v 2.3.  The problem is the location of the photo is referenced differently on the PC than on the MAC.  Does any one have any idea how I might accomplish this?
If this is impossible, then can anyone at least tell me how I can convert my catalog file (lrcat) so that the location of photos that are currently referenced using a drive and path (eg, p:\myphotos\...) to a format that can be used on the MAC so Lightroom running on the MAC will know about the photos on my external drive?

I have figured out the answer to my question.  Thanks to those who tried to help.
First of all, I found that Lightroom's 'Locate folder' didn't work for me.  It might have if I had tried that the first time I tried to convert things, but I had tried to locate a few photos already, so I was always told that the folder I was trying to locate was already in the catalog.
Breifly, what did work was to locate individual photos using the ? you see on the photo when in grid mode in the Library view and specify that other photos nearby should also be relocated.  By choosing a photo at the top of the directory tree, Lightroom will search for all photos in the directory containing your photo and all subdirectories of it.
    The details:
What did work, was to individually locate photos using the ? you see on the photo when in grid mode in the Library view.  If you turn on the choice to locate other photos nearby, then Lightroom will search for other photos in this directory and in all subdirectories of the one containing your located photo.  This was a good start, but the problem for me is that my photos are stored in many directories below an organizing directory (eg, \2009\2009-01-02) and the organizing directory (\2009 in this example) does not contain any photos to locate.  Furthermore, each of my orgainizing 'yearly' directories are organized in one top directory (\Photos) that also has no photos in it to locate.  So, to make use of this feature, I had to create a photo in at least the top directory that I could use for finding the rest.  I call this a 'FindMe' photo.  I found that it needed to have a totally different file name than any other photo in my library.  So, I created on be exporting another photo (with very poor resolution to keep the size small) and giving it a name of FindMe-<directory_name>.  I also found it helpful to give it a caption of 'FindMe' to use in locating the photo.  I imported this photo into the top directory (\Photos) on the PC.
The next step was to open the .lrcat on the Mac.  Looking at the grid of all photos, I narrowed down the photos to just those that had a caption of 'FindMe' or a file name of FindMe.  That located the photo in \Photos that I could use to start the search for all the rest.  (Note that giving your locating photo a name you can easily find is important because all you will be able to see when you look at all of the photos is just a blank square and I couldn't find any way to tell Lightroom to only show me photos in this one directory, excluding subdirectories (this is a feature they should add to Lightroom).)
Now theoretically, this trick should have located all of my photos.  However, in a library of over 55,000 photos, there's bound to be some problems.  It turns out that my library that started in Adobe Photoshop Elements had some entries that didn't point to the file properly...in fact there was a blank space at the beginning of the filename.  We had caught this problem and renamed the file on the hard drive properly, but a few catalog entries had missed the correction of the filename before we converted this to a Lightroom catalog.  (Elements tolerated the blank space in the file name, Lightroom does not).  This caused Lightroom to hang when it was locating file.  I solved this problem by fixing a lot of these in the PC catalog.  (This took some doing, because Lightroom would first give me a ? to let me locate the file, but it quickly realized it had a problem and changed the ? to a danger sign that would not allow me to do anything with the photo.  So, I had to act quickly to correct the problem with these photos.)  That fixed a lot, but there were apparently still some problems in the library that caused Lightroom to hang when locating photos.  Also, as the number of photos that were properly relocated grew, I found that it took too long to let Lightroom try to fix the entire library.  So, I started creating FindMe photos in the few remaining 'yearly' organizing directories and locating files in each of these.  That pretty much did the trick.
My wishlist for Lightroom new features:
    1.   I would like it if I could tell Lightroom to locate all photos within a directory (with the choice to includ subdirectories) in a particular place.  By this, I mean to go from the directory, not from a specific photo within a directory.
    2.  I want to be able to tell Lightroom to only display photos within a particular directory (excluding those in the subdirectory).  This would make it a lot easier to locate my 'find me' photos and would eliminate the need to make the so identifiable.
