Warehouse builder repository creation

Hi,
Is there someone who had the same error like this:
Error occurred during Seeding OWBSYS. Exception =java.lang.Exception: Exception occured in 'processLoadJavaToken'. oracle.ide.ExitNotAllowedException
I got this error when I am trying to install new repository.
Everything goes fine, until the last step...
I tried option to
1. @clean_owbsys.sql
2. @cat_owb.sql
3. @reset_owbcc_home.sql ,
but didn't help!
My OS is windows server 2003 32bit and
database is 11g r2
thx,
Ed,

Let's hear it for another stellar job of testing by Oracle Development.
This fails in Windows 7 and in XP.
Hey, Oracle, do you support Windows or not? I had exactly the same trouble, and I just downloaded the software 3 days ago. You KNOW about the problem, yet you don't care enough to fix it MONTHS after the problem is reported.
Pathetic. Just pathetic. I don't see how they go home at night proud of what they accomplished during the day. I will never, never, NEVER understand Oracle and its "who gives a damn if it works or not" attitude.

    hi David ,

Pls tell about any link to install Repository in linux environment.

    go to <ORACLE_HOME>/owb/unifiedrepos

    then run the following order
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @clean_owbsys.sql
sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @cat_owb.sql SYSAUX
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @unlock_owbsys.sql
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @reset_owbcc_home <DB_ORACLE_HOME>
IF OWB has been installed with Oracle11g DB installation.
Then from design center itself you can configure the workspace.
Most cases this will resolve your issue.

    Where is my mistake?

I found my mistake. The tablespace was too small :-(
It had only 20MB instead of 200MB that I wanted to give it. Somehow strange. After I increased the tablespace to 200MB I got the following message in the repository assistant.
even if the tablespace was totally empty. After I set the tablespace to "autoextend on" the repository builder finished without errors even if it used only about 150MB of the 200MB.

    Try the following options :
1.dropping user OWBRT_SYS and all it's objects. Then create a new repository user with no problem. Insert records for previous repositories in OWB in OWBRT_SYS tables and try.

  • Is workflow included in 10.2.0.4 warehouse builder?

    Hi there
Is oracle workflow included within 10.2.0.4?
From otherhelpful replies, I have learnt we need to install oracle 10.2.0.1 then the 10.2.04 patch to bring us up to 10.2.0.4.
We need to run process flows so I understand we need oracle workflow.
Is this included within the warehouse builder installs (both client and server or is it just a the server-side we would need to worry about?) or do we need separate installs for these?
Does anyone know which versions of worklfow we would need for 10.2.0.4 in the event that separate installs are needed?
    Many Thanks

    Hi Patrick
    Thanks for the info.
Just finished installing 10.2.0.1 on Windows client and the 10.2.0.4 patch on top of that.
Can I assume I can ignore the bit in the readme below where it talks about the upgrade utility since we have yet to create our repository.
    Many Thanks
    5. Navigate to the appropriate execution directory under the Warehouse Builder home directory and run the upgrade utility. The specific file you should execute depends on the release of the Oracle Database you are running.
For Windows, the .bat files are located under the win32 directory. If your Oracle Database is either 9iR2 or10gR1 run the following:
    owb home/owb/bin/win32/DTupg102to10204_10gR1.bat
Or, if your Oracle Database is 10gR2 run the following:
    owb home/owb/bin/win32/DTupg102to10204_10gR2.bat
For UNIX, the .sh files are located under the unix directory. If your Oracle Database is either 9iR2 or 10gR1, run the following:
    owb home/owb/bin/unix/DTupg102to10204_10gR1.sh
Or, if your Oracle Database is 10gR2 run the following:
    owb home/owb/bin/unix/DTupg102to10204_10gR2.sh
    6. Enter the database connection information, the Warehouse Builder repository owner credentials, and the SYS user credentials.
The upgrade utility proceeds to upgrade the Warehouse Builder objects associated with the selected repository owner.
The upgrade utility logs any errors in the file owb home/owb/reposasst/upg/LOG.TXT. Note that you can ignore any creation errors reported due to objects already existing.

  • Warehouse builder example schemas

    Hi
I have created warehouse builder repository own and during the creation i have added SH schema. I was expecting that i will be able to see its dimension, rule etc but nothing
what are the other example schema i can add for practice
    thank
    regards
    Nick

    OK, a few quick points...
    1. Build a 'location' that can access the SH schema.
    2. In your OWB project, expand the Oracle database node and build an oracle database module...this module should ideally use the SH schema 'location' connector you just created.
    3. At this point you can import the SH data and objects into OWB through that database module.(import option).
If what you want is to see real dimensions, and cubes (facts) that are already pre-built, go to the links that the poster above has mentioned (the oracle by example ones). In those pages, they will link to several different .MDL files you may import. These store metadata already for a pre-built project that allowes you to see mappings with real dimensions and cubes (facts).

  • A bug in the warehouse builder regarding mappings of dimensions

    Hi there
I do not know if this is the right place to submit a possible bug. Anyways - here goes.
    Warehouse builder client: 10.1.0.2.0
    Warehouse builder repository: 10.1.0.1.0
I'm creating a dimension, having one level attributes property as a varchar2(30). Thus it has a length of 30. Now, later on I decide this was an error. I update the property to a number, deploys, and reconcile the dimension inbound in the mapping. From now on, it will give an error, since it remembers the length. And a number has a size, not a length. If I remove the dimension from the mapping, and inserts it again, the error still occurs.
By the way, I am able to reproduce this.
Anyone who has experienced this, and can blame the stupid user (me) or classify this as a bug?
    Yours
    Kim Andersen

    Hi Igor
The "error" is actually a "warning":
Warning: VLD-1004: Column length of ASD_ASDASD is longer than the target column length.
where ASD_ASDASD is the dimension property, which I altered. It is annoying, though, to have warnings on the list, that aren't needed. And I also spent considerable time thinking that was the error in a mapping, whereas it was a stupid mistake made by me somewhere else :)
If it's a registered bug, do I get to win some branded Oracle candy?! :)
    Yours
    Kim

  • Oracle Applications Release 12 and Oracle Warehouse Builder 10gR2

    Hi
I'm trying to deploying process flows to Workflow but I get the following error:
RPE-02054: The version of Oracle Workflow is incompatible with this Control Center. Required 2.6.3, but found 2.6.0.
Comment I found on another thread: "As far Workflow Versions with Oracle Applications is concerned, it is always 2.6.0. Workflow is not identified with its 2.6.x versioning in Oracle Applications. The 2.6.x.x versioning is purely for Workflow Standalone."
    Oracle Warehouse Builder Client: 10.2.1.31
    Oracle Warehouse Builder Repository: 10.2.0.1.0
    Oracle Applications Release 12
    Any help would be appreciated.

May be the excerpt from the other thread is a response I posted.
So, when you say, deploying process flows to Workflow, I do not understand what you are doing exactly? If this involves the Oracle Warehouse Builder you may want to explain a little more in detail since I do not understand how OWB works with Workflow. But as far as I have heard, it is Workflow standalone that is packaged with OWB but you are deploying into Oracle Applications.
What is the version of Oracle Workflow Builder you are using?
Is the steps you are doing certified to be done with Oracle Applications R12?
    Thanks

  • Target Schema creation with Warehouse Builder

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle Enterprise 9.2.0.1.0 and Warehouse Builder 9.2.0.2.8.
The repository, the runtime and the target schema have been created without problem.
I also have created some test jobs and everything run fine.
    My question is:
Can we create a target schema without those tables
    CREATE$JAVA$LOB$TABLE,
    JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE,
    WB_RT_EXCEPTIONS,
    WB_RT_PARAMETERS,
    WB_RT_PLATFORM_CONFIG,
    WB_RT_PLATFORM_PROPERTIES,
    WB_RT_POSTLOAD_EXCEPTIONS,
    WB_RT_SEEDED_STRINGS,
    WB_RT_TIME_SRC.
    Thanks for your answers.

Theoretically you can, but you need these objects accessible from the mapping code, as they log information in these tables.
So you can create synonyms into the target schema, just make sure you have the correct privileges (complete read/write).
