Warning message in asset cap.

Hi,
we have a following requirement:
"At the time of asset capitalization amunting less than 5000 then systen should give a pop up warning message that check dep. key in asset master"
To meet the above, we have written a validation rule that if posting key is 70 & amount is less than 5000 then system should give a pop message. Currently that validation rule is working for F-90 & KO88. I want to know whether the said solution is viable or not OR can we write any other better logic than above?

If you are sure that F-90 & KO88 are the only two ways in which assets can be capitalized, than this is fine. However, you may also look at the option of capitalization through WBS and through Transfer from other assets.

This is how it went...
I specified the SpryAssets folder in Spry pane of 'Site Setup' Dialogue box...
But when I pressed the save button, this window popped up.
I know there's something I'm missing, probably very basic. Since, I don't intend to use Spry for now, can I just this thing off somewhere? Through some kind of preference or something? I've checked the help docs as well. Couldn't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 8 projects?

My conclusion after a morning struggling with this, is that there's no point in suppressing the message if your html5 content then goes on to misbehave in Firefox (like mine does). I've chosen to keep the popup, but change the wording to refer Firefox users to a completely separate Flash version. The wording of the popup is also in CPM.js.
Before you all shout at me, no I can't use the multiscreen.html approach, because my Flash version will have to be non-rescaleable, because web objects don't rescale in Flash.

Changing .ini is the advice eventually given in the Phonegap forum. (Browser compatibility error in Captivate conversions).

Changing the password warning message

The password component of our credit card statement comprises of upper case alphabets only. However, if i enter an incorrect password, it gives us a warning message that "Please make sure your caps lock is not on by mistake". This is an incorrect message for us since the password works only with the upper case in our scenario. Please help in changing this warning message while trying to open the PDF. Am also attaching the screen shot.

This is just a general 'incorrect password' warning, with a suggestion for a very common mistake. I don't think the checking mechanism actually checks for upper/lower case characters.

Warning message during the settlement of WBSE

Hi,
We have PS structure. During the settlement cost booked in WBSE moves to AUC & from AUC to final asset.
While settling the cost from AUC to Final asset, I am getting the warning message " Asset Value date earlier that Asset Capitalization date". If I am still continues then settlement for the that WBSE will be done.
Now what are the impact of this warning mesage to WBSE settlement, Depreciation run & its value calculation.
Please advice whether I should continue this type of settlement or do some rectifications..

When you do the settlement to your final asset you can fill in the Asset Value date (right part of the screen).
This date is used to derivate the capitalization date and then the depreciation start date (it is possible to fill this in manual, or to change it manual in the asset TC AS02)
You have to look in the in the asset what is in and what is the reason of the message TC AS03

Import scenario warning message

hi guys,
when import 2 difference version of scenario into the same execution repository
version 001 could be imported without a warning message
version 002 could be imported with a warning message
"the file being imported contains objects from a repository with ID 1 , but this repository is not declared in the target repository. Would you like to declare it and proceed with the import?"
after summited OK
then the scenario version 002 are imported.
but the curious of this problem is what is a different between of this 2 version
have any ideas ?

What gives?
It is a generic message letting you know that playback of some content/project effects may be affected by the real time rendering of assets. Remember no video file is produced during the editing process -- only at the time of sharing/exporting. Thus all effects (transitions, titles, video overlays, audio overlays, etc.) are rendered/blended with the HD source media in real time for display purposes only which, of course, can slow down proper playback.

Warning message during MRBR if advance is existing

We would like to have a warning message before releasing invoices in MRBR transaction. The normal process is, we display evry LIV (MIR4) and release the same. During this process we want system to display warning if advance is existing for the vendor.
what should be done ?

Hi,
As per standard SAP, system give information at the time of Invoice Verification itself (at LIV time) that the particular vendor is having so much of advance against current assets. User can clear the advance if it is related to the same LIV.
Check once and assign points if it useful.

Screen: illegal message in asset user exit

hi all,
I have done some validations in asset master user exit for some of the field while creating asset.
If for some valiation I put an error or warning message i.e.
message e001(zclass).
It just holds the screen and I cannot change the values. If I click BACK or EXIT button then it gives short dump saying:
screen: illegal message
During "Exit Command" processing, the program tried to send a " " message.
This is not allowed at this point in processing.
The program had to be terminated.
Screen name.............. "SAPLAIST"
Screen number............ 1000
Please advise.

I am getting a warning message when i am trying to create a host-named sitecollection.

I am trying to create a host-named site collection. I have created the root site collection. After that i have tried to create customer root site. I have doing this process with the guidance of this link.

When i tried to create a customer root site. I am getting a warning message
" WARNING: The port specified for the new host header site does not match any known bindings in the specified Web
Application. The new site will not be accessible if the Web Application is not extended to an IIS Web Site serving
this port."
I couldn't when this warning message comes. I tried to bind the server with webapplication which is created for host-named site collection. No use.
Can anyone help me to solve. And i wanna know why this error message comes!!!

First, you shouldn't create a host named site collection on a Web app that has host header named. Doing that implements host names at two different levels and will not work reliably. Second I'm not sure what you mean when you say you didn't

Warning message in ALV report

Hi Experts,
In ALV report i am getting warning like
" Field string LS_HEADER is not referenced statically"
Actually i declared this field as "DATA: ls_header TYPE slis_listheader.".
How to correct this warning message.

Dear Madhu,
You are not using LS_HEADER statically that you have defined in the program. You will get a warning message since you have defined a field that you have not referenced statically.
Are you using this field dynamically? You can delete/comment the code if you are not using it statically and dynamically.

Warning message in BW Report through Portal

Friends,
I really need your help to remove the waring message.
For the purpose of changing the description on the Selection screen from Cost Cetnters (Authorised Values) to Funds Centers I had changed the ZCCTRATI variable description to Funds Centers
Issue:
When we open the old report we see the following information message.
" Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message

Hi Manohar,
Edit to add: Here I assume you have a Web Application Designer (WAD) report.
You can suppress system and warning messages in WAD. Try this and see if it helps.
- Go to your WAD report
- In the top part of the properties window there is a drop down box. Open this box and select the top level entry there. This should be the name of your report.
- Click Web Item
- Check the following two checkboxes: "Do not Display System Messages" and "Do not Display Warnings".

Error message into warning message KO450

Hi,
There are unsettle RA value in project PAD-9114. Because of this unsettle RA value in the project we are not able to close the project and receiving error message like below:
1.There is still WIP for wbs
2.Balance of wbs is not zero.
There is still WIP for WBS PAD-9114
Message no. KO450
Diagnosis
The WIP for WBS PAD-9114 has not been cleared.
System Response
WBS PAD-9114 cannot be deleted.
Procedure
Calculate the WIP for WBS PAD-9114 so that it can be cleared. Then settle WBS PAD-9114, including the cleared WIP in the settlement.
How to change above error message into warning message so that it will allow us to close the project.

Standard warning messages in Vendor Request Form

Hi All,
Please let us know, how are the standard warning messages in Vendor Request Form while creation/search are displayed.
For example, I am getting an soft warning message text, at vendor creation which says "Some of the records were not found; for more information, check the log".
Here we don't have any log traces to be checked for, and we have verified the back end record resultset count which is same, irrelevant of the warning message being shown.
These messages are displayed only at two places:
1) The search navigation page, where all the searched record results are displayed and we continue further for creation of vendor workflow.
2) When the workflow of vendor creation is completed, along with the "Workflow has been completed" success message, this warning message is also shown.
I want to know, from where these messages are being populated and how to suppress these messages.
Kindly suggest.

Attaching the screen shot for refernce:
After we click on "continue with create/edit" button, after few details have been entered, the work flow completes.
There are we are getting these error message as highlighted above.
Let me know if any info from my end would help in getting the root cause.
