Warning Unable to open /opt/coldfusion8/runtime/lib/license.properties
This error cames up every day in the log files. Do I need a new license or to update? I believe this is version 8. I am aware there are newer versions available. The process appears to stop after a certain number of days with the error being in the log every day. Here is the latest two log entries:

Starting Macromedia JRun 4.0 (Build 108487), coldfusion server
At this point there is some process or app that is taking all the CPU bandwidth which stops all processes. (This is a virtualized installation.)
The server needs to be restarted and ColdFusion re-started after the server has re-initialized itself. I am wondering whether the license exception is the cause of the hang on the system. After restarting the server and then re-starting ColdFusion today, the following entries were made in the cfserver.log file (there were no entries in the server log at all):

Server coldfusion ready (startup time: 10 seconds)
Thank you for any guidance you can share with me. I am new at using this product.
The license.properties error is standard for CF. This file
will be found in coldfusion8/lib as the server starts up. But
clearly you have other issues. Why the deployer service is not
running is the real issue. Check your logs under coldfusion8\logs
and coldfusion8\runtime\logs. If this is a new install, you may
want to just uninstall and reinstall.

REP-0004 warning: Unable to open user preferance files
Hi,
I am new to R12. This is the upgradation project 11.5.1.2 to R12. we are newly installed the R12 application and 10g database.
I am going to customize the standard report 'Printed Purchase Order Report', the rdf file is 'POXPRPOP'. but it is not getting any out put and xml tags also. even standard report also not getting any output and I noticed in logfile that the error like 'REP-0004 warning: Unable to open user preferance files'.
I have tested in backend, its getting the data. then I have added command MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT('S'.org_id) in before report trigger also. but getting same issue.
Could you please help me wheather I need do any setups/modifications in RDF or Application. This is very urgency.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
ThirupathiHi Hussein,
Thank you for your valuable response.
I have followed the same steps for this customization what they are given in the metalink ID 374165.1.
And one more thing, I am not getting any output if i ran the standard program 'Printed Purchase Order Report (Portrait)' in R12. what it could be the problem.

best regards,
ZeeshanHi:
It seemed to me that you put the wrong directory or drive when started the installation. It shows "error message: No such file or directory" when trying to locate the files.
You can try to verify your inputs during first phase of the installation.
Hope this helps!

I recently did a system update and installed Yosemite on my Mac. Now I am unable to open CS5 at all. The error message I get is this: "To open Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, you need to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime." I have tried downloading this and it still gives me the same mess
In the details it is mentioned that it is an outdated version of Java.
Is this a security risk that i need to live with to get CS5 to run with Yosemite?
Also i need to reject messages from Java in the future about updates, or not?
thx for any input -

See if Java Runtime is available from Software Update, install it, then try launching CS5 again.

Can anyone give input on receiving this error when compiling? I've come across it a few times. The current project is compiling libjpg from www.ijg.org/
[Compiler] Error #1063: Unable to open file: /projects/zaalabs/alchemy-darwin-v0.5a/avm2-libc/lib/asmachine.abc.
There is no trace of this file, however within the achacks/gcc script there is a line:
$machimp="$libc/lib/asmachine.abc";
Referencing this file. Is this something that wasn't released as part of the 0.5a? Is there a workaround?
Anyone had success with a workaround, or anyone find a magical copy of asmachine.abc?

Radeon HD 7790 + Catalyst = Error: unable to open display (null)
Greetings,
I've installed Arch 2 days ago(migrated from Fedora), but I'm still a newbie to linux, so please have patience.
I've bought AMD Radeon HD 7790 recently and decided that it's time to upgrade system, but since then I had only problems with it. No LiveCD I tried (Fedora 20, Mint) worked properly in graphics mode, so I suspected problem in built-in drivers and moved to linux with text-only installation (Arch), so I could install drivers later.
I've followed wiki manual and installed catalyst, removed open source driver, added nomodeset parametr to GRUB etc. but I'm still stucked, because Xorg won't start(black screen and errors presented in Logs). Tried googling, but learned nothing except Radeon proprietary drivers are comparable to suicide.
Versions:
Kernel: 3-10.40-1-lts (catalyst_build_module sucessful)
Catalyst: 14.4-10
Xorg: 1.14.5-11

Last edited by Mytrin (2014-05-25 19:09:02)I've managed to solve this error:
(EE) AIGLX error: failed to open /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so, error[/usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
There was missing library and few directories, which I found according to this http://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comme … _correctly at /usr/lib/dri, so I had to just symlink it. However, "unable to open display" error is still annoying me and Xorg is not working.
EDIT: Found EE about missing commands in new Xorg.0.log and installed xterm to solve this. Now I don't have entirely black screen after startx. There is white rectangular terminal and fglrxinfo seems to be all right as it detected my Radeon and OpenGL. Now I have to install some DE, but that's another story. Marking as [SOLVED] and once again thanks to clfarron4 for reply.

Hi,
I have problems to get the precompiler running - executing the
precompiler leads to a segfault.
btw: don3t have ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc

I meanwhile solved the problem, so that I can compile and
run the samples.
a strace on 'proc' showed:
open("/oracle/precomp/public/SQLCA.H", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT
(Nosuch file or directory)
I made a symbolic link for an upper case SQLCA.H, needed to add
SQLCHECK=SEMANTICS in ~/precomp/admin/pcscfg.cfg and one more
lib for the make: /lib/libdl.so.2 because 'dlclose' and other
symbols were undefined.

PCC-S-02015, unable to open include file(gnu/stubs-32.h)
Hi,
I was trying to precompile one of the sample files from the "Pro*C/C++ Precompiler
Programmer’s Guide" and I got this error message:
Fehler in Zeile 7, Spalte 11, in Datei /usr/include/gnu/stubs.h
# include <gnu/stubs-32.h>
..........1
PCC-S-02015, Einfügedatei konnte nicht geöffnet werden.
(Which means "unable to open include file")
I couldn't find any an answer on the forum, so I figured it out for myself.
I just wanted to post it so in case somebody else faces the same problem, they would have the solution here.
The machine is a virtual Linux host running on a 64Bit architecture, so I was surprised why is it looking for stubs-32.h and not stubs-64.h.
The answer is in the stubs.h file:
#include <bits/wordsize.h>
#if __WORDSIZE == 32
# include <gnu/stubs-32.h>
#elif __WORDSIZE == 64
# include <gnu/stubs-64.h>
#else
# error "unexpected value for __WORDSIZE macro"
#endifSo let's check the bits/wordsize.h file:
#if defined __x86_64__
# define __WORDSIZE 64
# define __WORDSIZE_COMPAT32 1
#else
# define __WORDSIZE 32
#endifSo I figured out you can define __x86_64__ in two places:
The file: precomp/admin/pcscfg.cfg
Most probably you just need to add define=__x86_64__ and that should do the trick.
Unfortunately I couldn't try it because I didn't have write permission on that file.
The other way is to pass it in the command line:
proc sample1.pc MODE=ORACLE DEFINE=__x86_64__+
This way the precompiler created the output .c file without errors.
Cheers
PS: Don't try to define the __x86_64__ in the .pc file, or you'll get a warning when you compile the .c file. Not a big deal, just desn't look good :-D

Edited by: VincentFreeman on Feb 12, 2009 4:16 AMIdeally speaking your pcscfg.cfg should have the paths to the directories where you will be getting all your headers from
Based on what linux flavor & version of gcc you have the following directory will have the headers you are missing
/usr/lib/gcc/ABC-XYZ-linux/<gcc_version_no>/include
where ABC could be i386/i586 depending on the hardware and XYZ could be the linux flavor like redhat/suse/whatever you have -
Unable to open folders through cairo-dock
The quick browser icon in my Cairo dock is pointing to my home directory and when I click on it, it shows all the folders inside that directory. But I am neither unable to open the directory nor any of the folders inside.
I don't know if this is related, but I get these huge warnings when I open Cairo through the terminal:

When I double-click on them, they won't open and a question mark appears over them.
Oh oh, that means they've been moved or removed/trashed since moving there.
Spotlight won't be reliable, I'd get EasyFind...

Use it to search your whole drive for case insensitive & show invisibles...
