Dear Deve,
I am very sorry to inform you that, don't show your gimmick in your questions saying that rewad will be given. We are sharing our knowledge for the benefits of the SAP Community.
With regard to Warranty Management Q&Adb.....you will get it from SAP Marketplace.
SAP Warrant Management - Solution Brief:
SAP Warranty management plays a crucial role in any industry since it allows automatic, quick processing of warranty claims, leading to improved customer
satisfaction and potentially untapped vendor warranty recovery.
SAP’s best-of-breed Warranty Claims functionality combines a new, flexible document structure with the power of proven SAP technologies. This enables a
highly customizable and versatile Warranty Claims engine. The Implementation of SAP Warranty Claims is considered to be a natural progression in building a
well-rounded SAP system.
High Degree of Re-Use: Much functionality is re-used from other SAP
applications, e.g. pricing, output determination, IDOCs, account determination, CO-PA, code catalogs, etc.
Easy to extend: The Warranty Claims application has an openframework with a plethora of User Exits, BADIs & BAPIs, available for project teams to add custom
functionality without modifications.
Web Interface: Integrated with the new SAP Web Application Server, a Web
claim process can easily be extended to customers, vendors, dealers, service centers, as well as to claim administrators, directly over the Internet.
Quality Defect Reporting: Standard reports and integration with Business
Warehouse (BW) reporting greatly enhance visibility of quality defects and various trend analyses.
Claim validation – Avai lable via easy-to-use graphical rules and validations editor.
Line item validation – Complex body of rules can be expressed.
Pricing calculation and adjustment – Integrated with standard SD pricing, references standard price catalogues, or sets up warranty-specific pricing.
Automatic or manual approval – Approve/disapprove, partially approve items/header in claims
Web interface – Part of Netweaver, the Web Application Server integrates web processing with warranty claims applications. Web enabling the complete claim life cycle. Following is a selection of  out-of-the-box Web functionality:
- Claim entry, claim validation, line item validation
- Catalog select ion
- Calculate claim pricing
- Claim status and final adjudication review
Interfaces to multiple channels, e.g. via XML – Any interface can be linked into SAP Warranty. Out-of-thebox EDI via IDOCs, Microsoft .net applications can be
integrated into BAPI RFCs. Thus, XML communication via EDI, Email, or HTTPS can be set up.
Security – Application provides the security necessary to restrict informat ion available to user roles and profiles.
Maintain claim history – Flexible new document structure allows the maintenance of several versions and several claim copies grouped under one claim.
Service Bulletins – Support for recalls or service bulletins with serial number effectiveness and SB specific pricing.
Quality capturing – Flexible code catalogs on item level allow statistical reporting and analysis. Ability to create a Quality Notification linked to the claim.
Vendor recovery – Recover warranty costs from vendors or other reimbursers. Can be part/serial number specific.
Integrated to Sales and Distribution Module: Service and Maintenance – Create sales orders and spares shipments free of charge, integrate with service
notifications and orders. Integration with service management.
Claim Splits – Capability of splitting charges across multiple vendors/reimbursers.
Reporting – Online on-demand reporting capability, allowing business users to perform detailed analyses, reporting by product models, groups, codes, and cost,
e.g. parts leading to highest claim payments.
– Integrated to revenue and cost controlling reporting
environment (CO-PA).
– Integrated to Business Warehouse with standard
info cubes and reports.
Hope this information will be useful.

My iPhone 5 is 7 months old and my left speaker had just broke so I cannot listen to people on the phone nor listen to music. The iPhone is out of warranty, any solutions?

    No.
One is a speaker, one is a mic.  There are not 2 speakers at all.

  • Need win 8.1 installation from disk on yoga 2 pro instructions

I need "idiot-proof" instructions (I'm quite technical, but believe in clear instructions) for reinstalling win 8.1 on my yoga2 pro.  My Windows Update stopped functioning during an update cycle and it would not repair during restore/reset.  I have the four installation CD's from a problem Lenovo created earlier (i.e., it was free) and have istalled it before.  I just don't remember how to get to everything (BIOS) and what settings.

I did try removig the Lenovo energy management software, but that didn't work. I also then reinstalled and tried setting it to Performance mode. However, I didn't look for a Windows power mgmt solution.
What's weird is that after I powered down and used the Novo button to check the BIOS version (just to confirm what I said earlier), when I restarted Windows again I did not see the Hyper-V error message. I haven't restarted again, but will check again tomorrow morning when Windows starts again.

  • Yoga 2 Pro BIOS UI corrupted after clean install Win 8.1 Pro

    Hi all.
First of all sorry for my bad English.
    And here is my problem:
I just bought a new laptop "Yoga 2 Pro". Because I have a legal copy of Windows 8.1 Pro I decided to reinstall the system. Before re installing BIOS UI looked normal but after re installation of the operating system BIOS UI looks strange and can not use it. You can see it on the attached photos. I tried to reinstall the system a few times but immediately after installation BIOS UI looked like in the pictures. Interesting that after removing system from SSD, BIOS UI is starting to look normal and is fully functional. I even tried different versions of the operating system because I thought that the cause lies with the ISO file. The effect has always been the same.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem?
I will be grateful for any suggestions.

  • Yoga 2 Pro - Hyper-V not working right on Win 8.1 Pro

I wiped my Yoga 2 Pro and loaded Win 8.1 Pro, with all Lenovo drivers installed. I also enabled Hyper-V in the BIOS. However, I keep running into this issue as seen in the System event log:
"The speed of Hyper-V logical processor 2 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report."
I see one of these message for each of the four logical processors. Any ideas on what the issue is? Thanks.

  • Appear flashing line on the screen during work

I bought Macbook Air since 1st July 14. I found the flash line appear on screen during work but it's just shot line at the first and It appears just few secs. So I thought it's not too serious to me. Till now the line is seem more longer and appear frequently. Then I decide to take it to Service centre. They said my screen is not in its position. It's just a bit, If you don't look at it exactly, you won't notice it. I don't know what happen. It's usually as it was on fist day I bought it, never be fallen it. It's still in the good condition.  They fixed my problem by re-fit my screen but after I use it again I still found that flash line. what should I do? Now my air got the scratch on the screen edge from re-fitted it.  I really disappoint.

I'm assuming by "flash line" you mean there's a horizontal or vertical line randomly appearing on your screen? If that's the case I've seen that on laptops before. If its an intermittent issue try to move the screen forwards and backwards on its hinge to see if you can find one spot where that line almost always appears. You should have an issue with the cable connection to the main logic board, or the cable itself could be malfunctioning.
Also what exactly did they do when they "re-fit" your screen? Did they simple check the connectors, or actually dissemble the computer and resemble it? Either way if a cable is bad then it wouldn't have made a difference. You may be looking at a warranty replacement solution on this one.

  • WebCenter Content Architecture

    Hello everyone,
I just need an advice on how to solve a particular client's document management requirement. Need help on a good (if not best) architecture for their case.
In a nutshell, they have satellite/offsite branches that can receive documents from their customers. They want to get those documents digitized and kept in a doc. mgmt. solution. I've looked into some implementation examples from this site: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/implementation/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm
but there's no WCC configuration where a content contributor is outside the client's intranet (or extranet). Is it ok to just have one Content Server in the head office/data center, and the branches can connect to WCC (client-server mode) from a different geographical location? Or should there be a branch content server where scanning is available?
Hope you can throw in some ideas.
    Thanks,
    Jason

Thank you for the explanation! I've commented inline on some of the items.
Well, I don't know. This very much depends on what requirements
    > get those documents digitized and kept in a doc. mgmt. solution
    and
    > a content contributor is outside the client's intranet
    really mean.
The process basically is that customers go to either the head office or satellite branches to file an application. In order for the application to be processed, supporting documents must be presented. Currently, the client is photocopying these documents and filing away manually in cabinets. If an application needs to be reviewed again later, they need to sift through their storage.
Since they can accept applications from different locations, scanning and indexing (or in WCC, uploading/checking-in) of documents will be outside the data center where WCC will reside.
    a) It is certainly true that WebCenter Content is a centralized, not distributed system.
    OK, noted!
    b) There are few exceptions (that might be irrelevant to your use case)
Desktop Integration Suite supports also offline mode (for reading, but even updates of documents)
Some news from PM suggest that the new 11.1.1.8 release will support mobile solutions, where content can be ingested even in offline mode (where a mobile device has no signal)
The mobile support will definitely be great as some branches have limited physical space. Although, I might put this in the backburner for now.
However, those scenarios are usually only for exceptions - you cannot expect that a remote site would work with a single DIS client and/or mobile device.c) ODDC is also a centralized solution, but you could have one ODDC server per branch, if necessary, supplemented by ODC. However, ODC/ODDC can be used only for content ingestion (scanning/importing documents, initial metadata). Once a document is committed to a content repository, it is (usually) no longer available. Besides, there is no support for scenarios like searching, revisions, content retrieval, etc.d) Even though, WCC is a centralized system, it does not mean that you could not try to implement a distributed scenario using content migration/replication (Archiver utility). There are, however, two main reasons against it:
Costs - CPU/NUP license model is very effective for a centralized solution, because you can benefit from synergy effects of clustering. I remember a project where we had 80+ branches, altogether with 4K+ users that could run on something like 4 CPUs (eq. to 200 NUPs), if centralized
Manageability - everyone in OCS (Oracle Consulting Services) strongly discouraged us from any distributed design. Imagine a star architecture, where you have one central node containing everything, and a number of smaller branch systems containing items "belonging" to the branch. Unless the product supports a distributed locking (check-out) you can easily end up with inconsistent data. Again, there can be exceptions - in our case, we had just one revision, data were synchronized overnight and it could never happen that data was updated by anyone, but the branch that "owned" them.
In our case, the issue was the internet connectivity, and fortunately, we were finally able to convince the customer to solve the root cause, rather than go with an overkill architecture.
I think the architecture can survive with just one ODDC server where branches (not that many) can connect and send scanned documents to. There are no hard requirements on revisions yet. I also need an application to actually encode the customer's application, and is thinking of a custom-made ADF application, deployed on the WLS where WCC will run on. Or can I just create pages on WCC and expose that?
    IMHO,
    > a content contributor is outside the client's intranet (or extranet)
is not an argument for a distributed architecture.
    OK, understood.
If your concern is security, you may install web server to DMZ. One remaining challenge might be managing user identities, but even for that there are solutions available.
    OK, I'll look into this.
    Thanks for all the inputs!

  • Advice for heat sufferers...

If you're MBP has no heat issues (either it came perfect, or you fixed it via thermal paste reapplication), please feel free to skip this. I've got a HOT (90+ deg C on full load) MBP, and thought others may benefit from this, so here goes:
    1. If you're wondering how to avoid scorching your lap/desk while using the MBP -- consider getting an iLap. It makes it possible for me to use the MBP either on a desk or on my lap w/o any issues. (on a desk it really doesn't matter much except it provides better ventilation, and on your lap it provides the ability for you guys to still have kids) -- cost: ~$50
    2. You may be saying "I know the thing gets hot on the bottom and I've got a workaround for that, but what about my f*!$@# wrists?" -- Well I was in this boat for a while and then tried out the Marware MBP cover (covers the wrist area and provides a little cloth to cover the keyboard to prevent oil transfer to the screen). It turns out that the suede wrist area not only prevents scratching to your MBP (it's main design), but also greatly reduces the heat transfer to your wrists -- the main point for me. cost: ~$20
I know it seems a bit excessive to spend $70 to fix what are seemingly manufacturing issues w/ the MBP (excessive paste as many have noted). However I found that in the absence of sending in my MBP (based on horror stories), and my current inability to find a local Authorized center that will do the swap (I've got Applecare and don't want to void my purchased warranty) these solutions provide some relief.
Just a disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with either of these companies, or involved in selling them. As my handle says, I'm a code monkey -- now a monkey that doesn't have to worry about scorching my genitals or leaving burn marks on my wrists. Hope this helps anyone considering these products.

You say that as if there is something wrong with scorching monkey genitals. I do it in my lab all the time, in the name of science.

  • My wifi continually drops out - it is not a router problem as other laptops and smartphones in the house have no problem. How can i fix this???

Can anyone help with this....I purchased a macbook pro 13" in Sep 2011 and since purchase, have had continual problems with internet dropping out. I have other wireless products in the house eg laptops, smartphones, and ipods and these all operate without issue. Thw wifi on the macbook will work at start up for a few minutes then drop out, I then turn ot back on and after a few more minutes it will drop out again - hugely frustrating.

Why didn't you call Apple tech support?  You are still under warranty.
Solution may be found if you search in the "More Like This" section over in the right column.

  • Noise coming from my Macbook Pro Early 2011

I was just laying on my bed, and I sat up and moved my laptop relatively quickly(after the fact finding out I shouldn't have). There was a noise that sounded like slicing of a blade, which still happens if I move my laptop in some direction. If it's important, the fan was on when I moved it. My main issue is this slight "pitter patter" sound that is now non stop coming out of my laptop. It lasts for approximately 2-3 seconds, then stops for about 4 then does it again. I'm trying to count the number of "taps" in it, and it's about 12. I was hoping I could find a quick fix for it, instead of taking it back to Best Buy where I have another year on my warranty.

Best solution is to take it to Apple and have them look at your Macbook before more damage can occur....
You can try doing a SMC or PRAM reset if you wish to do so.....
But if no changes - Take it to Apple...
    Good luck

  • TS1559 still no solution for greyed out wifi and bluetooth - what to do? been messing around with it for weeks and now discover I'm just outside of warranty period? WHAT?

I am in such a predicament - phone not been quite right since the 6.1 update and I was tolerating the inconvenience of switching off and on etc etc for the past couple of months and now the wifi and bluetooth are totally greyed out all the time - did every restore possible including back to factory settings - still no luck - please don't tell me that trying all the solutions over the past 2 months that temporarily worked for a few days at a time will now mean I have timed myself out of the 1 year warranty? arghhhhh (I can't believe that such an issue will create the response 'oh well, your problem - best just buy another one' ???)
I can't just drop everything and drive to the apple store and wait for hours every time there's a 'glitch' otherwise I may as well move nextdoor to the mall. They tell you to try and solve it yourself first - which I did - and now it's not responding to anything I try, will I be told - 'too late, out of warranty'???
I see theres an update for the iphone 5 that fixes wifi bugs - what about us 4s owners? even my 3 year old 3gs is still working on wifi (haven't dared to update it!) so don't start telling me to expect that the iphone will only last 13 months - NOT AT $600 a piece
This is madness and driving me crazy
Please has anyone had any luck fixing this problem???

well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!!

  • I just brought a apple protection plan as my phone warranty is going to end in a day, when i am trying to enter the protection plan code and my phone serial no its showing an error message try after some time is there any solution to that?

i just brought a apple protection plan as my phone warranty is going to end in a day, after entering the protection plan code and my phone serial no its showing an error message "technical error try after some time", is there any solution for that?
As i need the warranty to extend for another year please help me regarding this issue.
When i bought a new iphone5 in Inda after using it for three days lock button was not working properly and it was warranty claimed and exchanged from apple service center in India, for the same phone I want to extend the warranty but its showing a error message is there any solution?

Here is some information on the applecare +:
    http://www.apple.com/support/products/iphone.html
It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error.

Macbook Pro 2,33Ghz Core 2 Duo Radeon X1600, it has been presentng screen artifacts since a year ago. It is not in warranty now, but I read in the web that plenty of people is having the same problem as an early degradation issue. Sometimes the system freezes and stops respondign so I have to restart and lose all the unsaved work. A few moths ago, the Superdrive stopped recognizing the disc because of a firmware update released by Apple!! It is not acceptable. Solution?
Apple should give a solution to all these people who spent more than 2500$ in a laptop that has stopped working in less than 3 years!
    http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-10330060-263.html

Yes, it appears the X1600 has more than its fair share of issues. I've seen reports of people reflowing the solder joints on/around the GPU with success, even baking the LB in the oven.
The rest is something you'll have to take up with Apple.
