Waterfox is displaying in text form for some websites - how do i rectify this?
since mid late December certain websites have displayed as text only, the problem is continuing and I can't see how to fix it - I can upload a screengrab if you let me know where to.
I was wrong, problem has re-occurred! Help!

I am on a Mac laptop and never shutdown, just close the lid and put it to sleep. Today when I came back, I saw that only the skin was the same: all my add-on icons have disappeared (for example evernote clipper, session manager, paypal, etc etc - and very importantly Quick Note (where I had a lot of passwords and for example the very specific way to write my credit card address so it will be accepted by a particular site). Firefox has somehow updated itself. I got the window "A new version of Firefox is available. Update now?" And refused it because I know the problem with updating and so never update. And next day, although my addons appear in the sidebar, the compatibility checker (recommended here) tells me that ALL my addons are incompatible. Even the Evernote clipper doesn't work.
Also, I have done small tests and any icons I put into the navigation toolbar disappear when I restart Firefox.
I can't decide whether to download Firefox 9 or go back to a year old 3. something version, but will have to decide within the next few hours as I need to get functioning again. -
Need to resize images for a website, how do I do this????
I am running Aperture 2, and I am getting my photo's ready to be posted on my website. Problem is I can't seem to figure out how to resize the image and create thumbnails. I have gone through everything and I am running out of time. Is there anyone who can help?
Thank you.You don't need to resize any images. What you need to do is export them. I don't know what site you're using, or how you're going to get them up there, but define an export preset that bounds the images to the size you want.

I added photos of our company's products to the Goods App for our sales team to use as an electronic catalog. Some of the pictures display perfectly. Others are blury. How can I fix this? I Googled pixel size for Ipads and checked this size against the blury photos. They seem to be less than the max pixels allowed. Must be another solution????

Are you on an Infinity residential or business package?
On the subject of the offshore support teams my experience from the other sife of the fence is that many, many of them are very technically orientated. The problem is that the ISPs they work for don't give them access to many of the tools that are needed (they need to raise internal requests to even get line checks done in some cases) and also they are very heavily scripted & monitored in what they do/say on a call.
Sounds like O2 are operating as a contact centre rather than as a call centre which is much more preferable from the customers point of view.

Firefox is displaying unreadable characters when visiting some websites like digg. The sites work fine in all other browsers. I've tried all encoding options in firefox.
This issue can be caused by an old bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or (bitmap) fonts that Firefox can't display in that size.
Firefox can't display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size and displays gibberish instead.
You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or see if you can find a True type version that doesn't show the problem.

I downloaded the new iOS 6 for my iphone 4. I have 2 iphones on my account and after the "upgrade" text messages go to both phones. When I send a text to my wife I recieve the same text and vise versa. How can I fix this?
"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Professional and have been trying to activate it for some time. I also had this same program on my previous computer. How do I de-activate it from that computer so that I can activate it on my new computer?

To transfer the license from one pc to another the step you have to follow is to 'Deactivate' the license first from the older machine.
To accomplish this you need to Launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'Deactivate'
On the new machine you can install Acrobat and then use the serial number to 'Activate' the software and this will complete the license transfer.

My brother and I phone number is link together on the same iTunes and Icloud therefore I am getting all his text messages on my phone, how do I stop this? He does not even have an Iphone anymore.
Try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". If that doesn't work, you'll have to tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different Apple ID for iMessage.

Currently I have video clips in itunes, iphoto, movies folder, imovie, imovieHD... probably some duplicates, How can I clean this up?
Yeah, this is frustrating for me, too. I tried a few different variants: keeping everything in Aperture, keeping only videos in iPhoto, keeping videos in Movies folder, etc. Reason being I'd like to be able to sync some videos back to the iPhone will keeping access available for iMovie - which is tougher than it should be. Now that the iPhone does HD videos, Apple needs to either adjust iPhoto to work with videos better or work with iMovie to actually function as a movie database as well as editor.
For now, I, too, have my stuff strewn about on my Mac but I'm trying to consolidate as much as I can into iMovie events on an external drive. I have a bunch of video clips of my 2 year old and I've decided to just group them by year and then put together an edit of each to then put into iTunes so I can view them on AppleTV as well as sync to my iPhone. I figure I won't ever sit down and watch every single clip so I might as well put together the "highlights". -

If these are new original DVD, you should bring your system in for alignment. If they are copied DVDs, the drive that made them may be out of alignment and your good drive can't read the bad copy. There is also another issue you may be talking about. Many DVD movies are assigned a country code and will not run on a machine from another country. This was intended to prevent piracy.

My Macbook pro won't open downloaded programs, it just opens the code it was written in using the text and edit app. How can I fix this? I just bought the computer last month so this is some what frustrating.
If you are downloading .exe files, those are Windows programs, and will not run on your Mac unless you install Windows on it. (That is possible, if you need one of those apps.)
