I pretty much said it all in the subject line. can I change the template after I have setup pages?

You can use theme switching, it's in the lower left corner.

Efficient way to change site template

hi all,
IHAC, the customer want to build a home page with big difference from wc default site templates, I know the solution is to use site template, with this solution, even I disabled 8 other components in extendwebcenterspaces, build and deploy still take me about 10 minutes, this is a long time to wait, I am using a 2c4G notebook.
Is there other way to do this?

This is the only way to create templates...
We have the same issue with the extendwebcenterspaces and are struggling with the deployment ourself. We have to reboot our server after a deployment of the extendwebcenterspaces project.
We are working together with oracle on a project for our customer and we are looking fo a solution. I am planning on installing jrockit realtime and jrockit mission in order to track the memoryleaks when deploying. When we have the results i will send them to oracle and create an SR in order to find a better way to deploy webcenter spaces projects...

How to change a TEMPLATE to a different one?

I know I can change templates from the list given... but the question is, How to change the "Welcome" template to the template "About Me" vise versa or any other page available rather than the same one? Thanks!

my condolences for your family’s loss. If all she seeks to do is to change the display name, and she’s willing to leave the account name unchanged, then she could do the following: log in as the administrative user and open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences. If the padlock in the lower-left corner is locked, unlock it. Select the account that shows your brother-in-law’s name on the left-hand side of the window, and then on the right-hand side, change the text in the “Full name” textbox to her preferred display name. If desired, click on the padlock in the lower-left corner to relock it.

We have a very long extended data tab full of custom sections and we would like to be able to give a user a way to search the page quickly.

I don't know enough about your use case to provide specific direction but you may be able to use the 6.1.1 UI extensibility point. For example, you could add an anchor link collection control that scrolls the page to the top of each section when selected.

Fastest way to add multiple images, one after the other, in DW5.5

There has to be a faster way to add multiple images, one after the other, in a web page rather than just dragging each from the Files tab w/in DW 5.5
I was a little surprized I couldn't select multiple images and just drag a block and have DW just insert an img tag with empty alts and the source path but maybe there is some options I just haven't found?
I tried using Bridge to generate a quick html slideshow/gallery but it creates skads of divs and such... I just have to update an older site and was looking for an efficient way to add a bunch of images (random names ugh so just copying-pasting one and changing names is still more manual) that lie next to each other, no breaks inbetween....seems an ideal automated situation.
I'd settle for an external script or app or something because they come in blocks of 25 approx and I have all my actions in PS set up to size appropriately which is nice so I just wondered if there was something good for this low-level production task.

Thanks. Yes, I started writing a script but I just wondered if there were hidden gems in DW....so many programs do more than they are intended to do nowadays, I had to ask people who use it more!
Actually, the fastest was to just dupe one line of code, paste x amount and then just use the pick-wip to point and drag. That at least cut the menu out of the equation.
I thought I remembered doing a batch insert years ago..maybe in GoLive or before Adobe had DW? DW and GoLive are the only GUI html editors I've ever used..but, may it was just something out of an ealier photoshop...they've taken good stuff out and put good stuff in so many times that I can only remember so much!

I am rebuilding my company's website on our server where
previously it was outsourced, designed and hosted by another
company. I feel that this is a huge undertaking ... and my boss
thinks it should be easy. He wants me to look at the site that is
online now and transfer the images, info, etc over to Dreamweaver.
Anyone have any advice?
Anyway, my question is this:
When I started building the homepage I used the the
"twoColLiqHdr" page layout (where the sidebar is on the left and
the paragraph content is on the right). I want to change this so
that the sidebar is actually on the right and the content on the
left of the page. Can I change this since it is after the fact? If
so, how?

Changing the document page size after the fact.

Does anyone know of a way to change the page size globally after the fact?
I have sent a 200 page book created with Pages '08 to my printer. The work has a full bleed watermark in the background on a custom 7" X 11" document. I've just been informed that he needs to increase the paper size to 7.25 X 11.25 and have me increase the watermark so it can be trimmed down.
Is there a way to change all 200 pages or do I need to set-up a new document and do a whole lot of cut and paste?

Your problem is that the change is not proportional.
However it is not a great change, 6.66% at most. If you don't mind a subtle change in height vs width, just create a pdf of the entire document and tell the printer to change the size on going to plate.
Alternatively you can simply scale it up the 6.66% which will make the height about 0.5" too high and trim away the excess.
The other way is only scale it up 2.27% which gives you the right height but leaves you with 0.1" less width.
Or you can go in between and have a compromise for both directions by scaling up 4.4%.
It depends if you have white margins in either direction that can take up the slack and also how much bleed you have on the watermark. You only need 1/8" to cover any trimming errors.
As this appears to be quite a long book and would need to be imposed up in signatures, I would imagine the printer must have the necessary imposition software to allow for creep etc, which should also allow for non-symmetrical scaling.
Don't you Americans ever feel at moments like these that you wish you weren't the last people in the world to not use metrics and rational paper sizes?

I assume that you also have Pages on your computer (or some other capable WP program). I also assume that you have eliminated any unnecessary columns, so you have a 1-column table in Numbers.
When it comes time to print, Copy the entire Table: Click on the table name in the Sheets Pane and Command-C.
Switch to Pages, open a blank WP template and set the number of columns to 3 or so. With the Text Insertion Cursor flashing on the first line of the first column of the blank template, Command-V. Your table should paste into the Pages document as an Inline Object and will Wrap on the page as you desire. Then Print in Pages.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are not able to locate the Messages application on your daughters iPod touch (4th generation). The good news is that this application cannot be deleted or restricted. The first suggestion I have is to try and search for Messages using Spotlight to search the iPod touch for this application. If Messages is located in Spotlight, then it has probably been moved to a different page of applications or even possibly a folder of applications on the device. Searching all pages will help you locate it.

Yes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". Yes, Just go to the View all pages window and click on the Change Theme button. There you will be able to switch size and type of cover. HOWEVER, just to be on the safe side make a copy of the book beforehand by clicking on it and typing Command+D (duplicate). Sometimes some of the text might be lost. It's a possiblity but I've never had it happen.
