WB_RT_PROFILE_SERVICE package body does not compile
Hi,
When recompiling the WB_RT_PROFILE_SERVICE package body I get following messages:

As far as I am aware of, no one touched any code.
Does anyone know how to correct this?
Does this prevent deploying objects.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Rene
Fixed this way:
Altered the script:
• Based on Wb_rt_profile_se.sql, created a drop_wb_rt_profile_se_fixed.sql to drop everything created by wb_rt_profile_se.sql.
• Based on Wb_rt_profile.sql, create wb_rt_profile_fixed.sql to remove partitioning.
What happened seemed to be:
• Wb_rt_profile_se.sql was run during the installation.
• Then wb_rt_profile_service.sql referenced objects created by wb_rt_profile.sql, or there was no wb_rt_prifile_service_se.sql.
Run drop_wb_rt_profile_se_fixed.sql.
Then run Wb_rt_profile_fixed.sql
Recompile all objects.
OK.

Package body does not compile in Object Browser
Hi there,
I am trying to compile a package body using the Apex Object Browser. However, when I click the "Compile" button no message is displayed in the box above the package body code. I reduced the amount of code by removing comments and extra carriage returns and it then compiled ie the message "PL/SQL code successfully compiled (18:35:55) " was displayed. After trial and error I found that by adding just one character to the end of a comment line would cause this problem and by removing it the problem would dis-appear.
I raised this issue back on 19th June, and sspadafo responded by suggesting that I upgrade from Apex 2.1 to Apex 3.2. (Thanks by the way). This I have now done but the problem is still occurring. Is there some parameter that I have to increase in order to compile packages greater than a couple of kilobytes in size?
Database is 10.2 XE running on Windows Vista Home Premium.
Thanks.
John.What would you say is a large package that sometimes causes the compilation to fail? For example, in excess of 10000 lines of code.
I've just tried a package with the minimal amount of code, with as many comments as required to demonstrate the problem as follows:
Note: The last comment is on line number 108!
create or replace package body "TEST_PACKAGE" is
--Comments comments comments comments comments
--Comments comments comments comments comments
--Comments comments comments comments comments
--Comments comments comments comments comments
--Comments comm...
... comments comments comments
--Comments comments comments comments comments
--Comments comments comments comments commen
procedure TEST_PROC
as
begin
null; /* insert procedure code */
end TEST_PROC;
end "TEST_PACKAGE";
{end code}
You will notice that the last comment line is truncated. The above compiles everytime, but by adding one more character to the last comment line will cause it not to compile everytime. Downloading the above to disk gives a size of 5134 bytes, which is twice the size of the other package, which has a little more code, that I was trying to compile. When I say a "a little more code", I mean two procedures and one function of approximately 20 lines each!
Oh well! Looks like I'll have to give SQLDeveloper a try as I don't fancy going through the "edit file/action file" loop in SQL*Plus or the "submit script/wait for results/examine results" loop in SQL Scripts.
(For info, I am using Internet Explorer 7)
Thanks. -

GordanInstall 4.0 pass ok!
1. I was changing apexins.sql
as PREFIX='@/usr/lib/oracle/xe/apex/'
and add path to coreins.sql as @/usr/lib/oracle/xe/apex/coreins.sql
2. create two folders coreinscore and coreinsbuild and copy all files from folder core and folder build
3. copy and rename endins.sql as coreinsendins.sql
after 10 min instalation pass ok!

I cannot start OWB's Control Service. I ran service_doctor.sql. It says that there are invalid packages. It turned out that OWBREPOS_OWNER schema's WB_RT_PROFILE_SERVICE package bady was invalid. But I could not get the pkg body compiled. The errors are attached below.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Java Importer: import of java.lang.Boolean does not compile?
I have created a webservicestub for the Reports webservice with JDeveloper.
Now I want to use it in Forms. All methods work correctly, except the runJob method, which uses a boolean argument. I think I need to import java.lang.Boolean for it, but the created package body does not compile ("wrong number or type of arguments" in jni calls).
Does anybody have suggestions how to get it compiling, or how to call the runJob method without the import of java.lang.Boolean?Downloading 1.4 sdk does not have the javac, it just has the JRENo, you apparently downloaded the JRE runtime. Do this to get the compiler, etc:
Go here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html
and in the section titled:
Download J2SETM v 1.4.0_01 JRE SDK
look in this row:
Windows (all languages, including English)
and click download in the column headed SDK at the far right -
Compilation error : package "coins" does not exist
Hi
I am new to Jva, though not new to programming.
I want to run a program I downloaded from internet But I cant since I got the following error
SimpleMain.java20 package coins does not exist.
import coins.HirRoot;
^(it points class HirRoot)
My GUESS is that I have to tell the compiler that I have my HirRoot class file somewhere. But I don't know how.
This is what I did:
I am at directory:
downloads/COINS/coinsBKP/examples/ And I want to compile SimpleMain.java inside of it
I have my classes (.class files) at directory:
downloads/COINS/coinsBKP/classes/coins/and Its source files (.java files) at directory:
donwloald/COINS/coinsBKP/src/coins/I input :
javac -d ../classes/coins/ SimpleMain.javaAnd I got many many errors.
What can I do?
btw I have tried also
javac -d ../classes/ SimpleMain.java
javac -d ./classes/ SimpleMain.javaand didn't work
Please help me, Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks for your answer.
But I still could not compile it ...
I did this...enriquez-guillermos-macbook:examples nacho$ javac -Xlint:unchecked -d ../classes/ -cp ../classes/ SimpleMain.java
SimpleMain.java:188: cannot find symbol
symbol : method setOptionalParam()
location: interface coins.sym.Subp
lPrintf.setOptionalParam();
^
SimpleMain.java:911: warning: [unchecked] unchecked call to add(E) as a member of the raw type java.util.List
lList.add(hir.intConstNode(0));
^
SimpleMain.java:914: warning: [unchecked] unchecked call to add(E) as a member of the raw type java.util.List
lList.add(lExpRepeat);
^
1 error
2 warnings
enriquez-guillermos-macbook:examples nacho$ As you suggested, I checked setOptionalParam() method. and it wasn't in Subp.java but it was found it in SubpImpl,java.
So How can I do this?
In C something like this might solutionate this problem...
#import "SubpImpl.java" but in java?
Also, I've noticed that SubpImpl is a Subclass of Subp so, importing or including a subclass "header" in the mother class file does not make sense Does it?
Is this a program problem or is the way I am compiling it? -
output error: The name of package 'greet' does not reflect the location of this file. Please change the package definition's name inside this file, or move the file. C:\Documents and Settings\Igal\My Documents\meiran\greet\Greeter.as
I keep on recieving this output error although my source path is set to C:\Documents and Settings\Igal\My Documents\meiran\greet.
any suggestions why this happens?The classpaths you define in your Flash software tell the compiler where to look when it needs to find a class. According to your as file, the very top line indicates the Greeter.as file should be at a location specified by the path...
one-of-your-classpaths\com\example\quickstart\
So if one of your classpaths is: C:\Documents and Settings\Igal\My Documents\meiran\greet\
and you placed the file in the greet folder, then in your AS document you should not have the "com\example\quickstart" and your import statement in the fla should not be using that (should just be... import Greeter;) -
Import, package util does not exist
Hi all,
I installed Tomcat 5.0 for Java WSDP and after Java Web Services Developer Pack 2.0. Hence I created a directory "SAMLTestTool" into the folder
"tomcat50-jwsdp/webapps/ROOT/"
and I put inside some JSP files and some other directory (WEB-INF, META-INF...).
In some jsp file there is this line:
<%@page import="util.RequestUtil"%>and in the subdirectory "SAMLTestTool/WEB-INF/classes/util" there is the file "RequestUtil.class".
But when I try to open these file through the browser (for example "http://localhost:8080/SAMLTestTool/service_provider.jsp"), this is the error:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
An error occurred at line: 59 in the jsp file: /SAMLTestTool/service_provider.jsp
Generated servlet error:
[javac] Compiling 1 source file
tomcat50-jwsdp/work/Catalina/localhost/_/org/apache/jsp/SAMLTestTool/service_005fprovider_jsp.java:6: package util does not exist
import util.RequestUtil;What does it mean? Where should I put the folder "util" in a such way that this package will be found?ROOT is a special folder configured to pertain to an empty context root.
If you put a folder there it is simply a folder but you are trying to use it as a context root.
So either keep what you have and put your util folder in:
tomcat50-jwsdp/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes
or
Move your SAMLTestTool to:
tomcat50-jwsdp/webapps/
Hope that helps. -
Error: Package StockTablePanel does not exist
I am running j2sdk1.4.0 on RedHat Linux 7.1. I think I set everything up correctly. Compiling simple packages with no custom packages imported works and runs. But when I have a custom package imported like
import MyTable.*;
an error ... Package MyTable does not exist occurs.
The file MyTable.java compiled into several class files. The import package name matches the class definition in the MyTable.java file. The class files are in the current working directory which should be picked up by default, but since this did not work, I did try -classpath . with no success.
The funny thing is that -verbose indicates that these packages are found and loaded, but this darn error keeps a class file from being created.
Please, can someone shed some light on my problem. I am tired of surfing the web for an answer?
Thank You,Thankyou for your help. I think that I overly simplied my problem, because the use of -d did not seem to do the job. This is exactly what I have.
Directory: ~/JTraining/Ch7/StockTableTabPanel
Files: 1. PortfolioTotalsPanel.java
2. StockTablePanel.java
3. StockTableTabPanel.java
File 1 generates when compiled (javac -d classes <file1>)
classes/PortfolioTotalsPanel$1.class
classes/PortfolioTotalsPanel.class
File 2 generates when compiled (javac -d classes <file2>)
classes/StockTablePanel$1.class
classes/StockTablePanel.class
classes/StockTablePanel$StockTableModel.class
File 3 when compiled returns errors (javac -d classes -classpath classes <file3>)
StockTableTabPanel.java:14 package StockTablePanel does not exist
import StockTablePanel.*;
^
StockTableTabPanel.java:15 package PortfolioTotalsPanel does not exist
import PortfolioTotalsPanel.*;
^
2 errors
I tried absolute and relative pathnames with -d and -classpath. After the above errors while using the -verbose option, the [loading <jar and class> messages indicated that all the generated files of file1 and file2 except the two $1 files were loaded. So this error appears to indicated that two anonymous inner classes (created by event handle code) are the classes which cannot be found. But then again I might be way off and this is not the problem at all.
Thank you for any help that could be provided,

Error: package jxl does not exist
I've tried everything on this thread from 2007
how to import a jxl package?
and I still get the error: package jxl does not exist.
I've:
1)added the the excelapi subdirectory that contains the jar file to the system class path, then I tried explicitly adding the jxl.jar file to the classpath (below)
c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02\bin\; c:\Program Files\Java\jexcelapi\jxl.jar;
2)I tried adding a copy of the jxl.jar file to the java\jdk1.7.0_02\bin\ subdirectory also.
Anyone have any other troubleshooting ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
Edited by: 915729 on Feb 20, 2012 11:35 AMNeither of those is a very good idea.
You're also not telling how you're trying to compile the code.
If with javac, you should use the -cp switch to include the jxl library in the classpath. -
Error message: package Jfxcore does not exist
I have a file "Jfxcore.jar" in C:\Project. I added C:\Project\Jfxcore.jar to the classpath ( in xp control panel).
My app, test1, has the line: import Jfxcore.*;
It is also located in C:\Project
when I compile from the commad line with : javac test1.java or javac -cp . test1.java i get the error: package Jfxcore does not exist.
importing any of the stuff that comes with java works fine. It only fails when I try to import my own jar or class files.
I think I must have missed a step somewhere. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? Thanks for the help.Inside the jar file it has about 20 classes but they are named with
"fxcore.classname" instead of Jfxcore.classname
I did not write the jar file and thought if the file name is Jfxcore.jar then that is what I should import.
when I use import fxcore.* it works.
I knew I was doing something stupid. Thanks for the help, you pointed me in the right direction. -
