WBS element transfer from invoice to Fi Documents.

Dear Friends,
In our business process
1. Project creation
2. Delivery
3. Project Invoice.
In this case we can see WBS elements in invoice item data. But this WBS elements did not transfer to Financial documents.
Please suggest me how to transfer the WBS element from Invoice to FI Documents.

Hi Arun,
In the WBS masterdata, in basic data tab, if the " Account Assignment Element" is not ticked on, please tick it. After doing this, try the transaction from scratch once again. Now the posting document will have the WBS element.

WBS Element extraction from R3

I have created a new extractor for Materials Management and when I extract 'WBS Element', it appears in BW as a number eg. C/LS/0019.01 in R3 appears as 1441 in BW. I extract WBS Element from other areas of R3 and map to the same WBS Element InfoObject in BW and these appear OK. Is there some kind of conversion routine I need? The WBS Element appears OK in RSA3. The table in R3 is EKKN.

The WBS Element I am extracting is a numeric field of length 8, whereas the WBS Element in my Projects extractor is a characteristic with length of 24 - there is a conversion routine on the Projects InfoObject. However, the numeric field appears ok in RSA3 and when I create new InfoObject with no conversion routine, the field is just populated with a 3 or 4 digit number. Which conversion routine would I need to apply to view this OK in BW? As it appears in the extractor OK, I just need a little help with the conversion routine.
Also this is the only WBS Element available in the tables I need to extract from - there is no external one available.

How to make mandatory(usr01) field for level 1 wbs elements only from CJ20N

Dear All,
I have made mandatory for "PRPS-USR01" field from CJ20N transaction
by using field exit. But mandatory field (usr01) is working for all wbs elements. I want to make this usr01 field mandatory for LEVEL 1(prps-stufe), WBS ELEMENTS(prps-posid) only. Not for level 2 and level 3 wbs elements. Please let me know how to fix it.

How to display WBS element while parking FI document from an excel??

I'm using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to park/post FI document from an excel file. Accounting Document Numbers are generated that triggered the posting. When i'm viewing the generated document in transaction FBV0/FB03 it's found that the WBS element is appearing blank when the document is parked. But it's appearing fine when the document is posted. I'm unable to find the difference.

Can you let us know how were you able to PARK documents using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST? Is there an exit provision in this BAPI? Thanks in advance.

Project/WBS element documents - in CJ20N

Hello everybody,
I have a requirement to implement documents into PS module.
The tasks are:
1) attach document to proj. definitioon/wbs element
2) select the right document from list of templates
3) automatically fill in the data
4) possibility od manual change - mainly in CJ20N
5) verisons & statuses
I have in my mind three possible solutions, but as I've never done that before, I can't decide which one will satisfy my needs.
a) Documents assigned to WBS element (cv01n can create such a document - I don't know how to maintein them)
b) Somehow connect documents from Business document navigator (OAOR transaction)
c) Somehow connect Smartforms to definition/wbs element
Can anyone give me an overview and/or the way how to accomplish this task?

Relationship between tables milestone and wbs element

1.I have taken two tables in my source code retieving milestone number(mlst_zaehl), usage(mlstn),and wbs element(pspsnr)
from TABLE MLST and the other table is PRPS(WBS ELEMENT TABLE, and the fields are psphi(project) , and pspnr(wbs elemrnt,
The problem is i am not getting the project (psphi) FROM PRPS TABLE and the link field is PRPS-PSPNR = MLST-PSPNR.
2.Other requiremnt is in the same program, iam getting reservation quantity and also DELIVERY QUANTITY
if delivery qty equal to reservation quantity then exit and if the reservation qty is NOT equal to delivery qty,
i need to UPDATE the corressponding USAGE , MILESTONE TEXT, AND QTY in milestone table MLST.
please let me know any function to update milestone or BAPI or i sahll use BDC.

I think you want to link MLST and PRPS tables to get the milestone fields...
From Table MLST - Mile stone number - MLST_ZAEHL and WBS element - PSPNR, link the WBS elements with PRPS table - WBS element - PSPNR and for project - PSPHI (Current Project Number).
For project number you can take from PRPS - PSPHI or from PROJ table

Assiging wbs element as settlment receiver in service order settlement

Hi PM CS Experts.
We are using scenarios of creation of service order from sales order. So whatever cost we incurred for service order settling to sales order via settlement rule - settlment receiver is Sales order i.e. SDI. We are using settlement profie XX which have default object type for settling SDI. While releasing the service order the settlement rule created with settlement receiver is SDI.
Now for different business scenarios, we are settling service order cost to WBS. Now we want to create a settlemetn rule for WBS, settlement receiver will be WBS element, while saving the service order. What configuration, master data or processes we have to follow for this.

Sales Order line item have account assignment WBS element. From this sales order line, a service order will be created. So our idea is whatever cost booked to service order should be settled to wbs element instead of sales order.
also in location tab of service order, the wbs element from sales order is not inherrited in account assignment section. Why this we are not knowing. Have you have any idea for this.

Detailed explanation:
In our SAP system we have the functionality that when a user enters a wbs element in a Work order (Addit.Data Tab) he gets an error message CJ065 if the WBS element is from another Controlling area.
We want in addition the functionality: show error message CJ 066 when the WBS element is for another Company code.
I have searched in message control within PM, but here is only allowed to enter messages for application area IW.
I have also tried to search for other message classes without finding where in customizing to maintain message class CJ.

I have thought of that solution (using customer exit at save), but hoping maybe there was a setting in Customicing eather in CO or in PM to make message CJ066 appear. When looking at the source code it looks tlike there is a setting in customizing to be triggered, but I cannot find out where..

Very urgent- find parent-child relationship for wbs element

Hi,
There is a certain parent child heirachy in WBS elements.My requiremnet is to delete WBS element depending on certain field , say depending on some ""status"".If the status is active in some or any of the child then I am not suppose to delete its respective parent too. This parent-child relation can have say 5 levels.
For this I require a logic /program which shall maintain the parent reference for that particular child whih I want/ dont want to delete.
I am maintaining bottom- to -top approach.
That is I shall be checking for the status of the lowest level of WBS and then going to the highest.

WBS element not updating in additional data of IW32

Hello, We have created a sales order with account assingment as WBS element. From this line service order will be created, but when we check the service order additional data, the wbs element field is showing as blank. What is the reason for this.

WBS element seems to disappear

Hi all.
Have you experienced, that when you go from Display to Change in Process Purchase Orders in SRM, parts of the account assignments disappear? I want to change the WBS element in my PO, because it cannot be transfered to the R/3 as it is right now - therefore it is in Error in Process. And when I enter the PO in Display mode, the WBS element is visible, but when switching to Change this disappears? How can I change this?

SRM 4.0, server 5.0 - R/3 is 4.6C.
I also found the notes you mention myself before entering this message here in the forum, and these are not relevant to me - they all have something to do with the shopping cart.
My issue only persists in SRM. In the shopping cart the user is entering the account assignments, like cost center, GL account and then also the WBS element. The SC is saved and passed to approval. The offline approval then approves the SC, and the PO is automatically created and is being transfered to R/3. But the PO never gets to R/3 because the accounting data is incorrect - the WBS element is not correct in my case. There is an error in the application monitor saying that the WBS element is closed, and then I or the user is trying to change the PO by using BBP_POC - process purchase order. Before switching to Change, all the accounting information is there without any problems - but when pressing the Change button, the WBS element disappears from the PO item data. Very strange, right?
Any ideas?
