WBS planned cost in Sales order cost estimate

HI Experts,
Can you please help me in below:
Will it be possible to include WBS planned cost in Sales order cost estimate.
ETO Scenario
Creating Project and booking planned cost
Creating Sales order and assigned the WBS at line item level
WHen i do the sales order cost estimate it calculating cost from Sales order BOM includeing Chars value for KMAT.
I want to know if there is any way to include the WBS planned cost also in the sale order cost estimate.
Can anyonce please provide inputs.
Thanks,
Sudha

Hi Sudha
Are you saying the WBS Planned cost is in addition to the Sales Order cost estimate? Well, as far as I know, there is no such possibility
you can use Unit Costing feature in Req Class instead of Quantity Structure Based Costing... Then you can enter whatever items you want

  • Flow material product cost to sales order cost and no explosion of structur

    Hello,
We have a business requirement - Business is currently performing product costing at material on monthly basis using quantity structure (with help of avaiable bom and routings). Material costing nicely gives the cost with clear split of material cost, labour cost, external cost etc. Then at sales order level we want to do the preliminary sales order costing. The reason for sales order planned costing is, we are performing result analysis revenue based by comparing planned cost. Business is saying, we already calculated the material cost, labour cost at the product level and same should be as it is transferred to the sales order planned cost and we just want to add the overheads.
The cost already calculated should directly pass to sales order and the order should not explode the BOMs again or try to find activity prices from routings. Then with the already available values of material, labour costs, system should only add the overheads via costing sheet.
The cost compenent structure exploded in material should be passed to sales order and not just the total cost.
There are several reasons I believe sap should not allow this behaviour. I seek your inputs to validate the same.

THIS SHOULD BE POSSIBLE WITH "TRANSFER STRATEGIES" - TCODE OKKM.
GO BY THE BELOW GIVEN PATH AND TRY.

    Hello,
If you have an idea which sales orders are missing, try to calculate RA using KKA3. You will get the error.
Since KKAK is for a selection, i would suggest to check your selection criteria and if you are using variants to run KKAK, also check the variant settings. It may so happen that the sales orders what are missing are not collected in selection itself.

  • WBS Planned Cost on Sales order

    Hi Ajay and Experts,
We have created WBS element and assiged on Sales order line item in Account assigt tab (Accont *** cat M and Valuation M).
Is there any way to get the corresponding Planned cost of WBS on Sales order line item when WBS is assigned.
    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Hi Manoj,
We are in MTO Scenario but Production order we will settle to Mat itself
WBS assigning on sales order line item.
WBS we are using to capture any addtion cost towards paint etc.,
While calculating the Margin in Sales order we could able to get the Material cost through VPRS but towards the WBS planned cost is missing, so that the Margin is not coreect.
For this purpose we are planning to bring the WBS planned to to sales order to get the correct Margin.
    Thanks,

  • Sales order cost estimate not happening because of GIT B/S account

    Hi,
Requirement is to have Goods in Transit account in PGI and reverse it in Invoice no issues iwth it.
For the same sales order user wants to get cost using sales order cost estimate.
When i run that am getting following error
Item 00001 : Cost element 14001212 does not exist in CO area 0010 for 10/07/2011
    Message no. KK689
Even though i maintain the CE for Balance sheet account with Cost element category 90 its not accpeting.
Can you please help me on how to proceed for sales order cost estimate.
    Thanks,
    sudha

    hi,
if you give a balance sheet account in obyc , you will not be able to create a cost elementin category 01 , accordignly system will give error in sales order costing , as its not able to get correct cost element in cost planning.
if your requirement is just to post  cogs to a balance sheet account which is goods in transit and when invoice is done cogs to be posted.
you should actually use  revenue based RA functionality on sales order instead of assinging a balance sheet account in obyc.
    in this approach;
    - first assign a p/l account in obyc and create cost element in cateogry 01.
    - create revenue based RA and assign RA key in requirement class.
    - in OKG8 for RA category  WIPR and your ra key assign , goods in transit account and give a offsetting account which is not cost element (credit entry in offsetting account nullify debit in account given in OBYC when GIT is posted , when billing is done system will automatically post a oppsite entry in both account).
-in OKG8 for RA category COSR give the COGS account and a offsetting account without cost element (credit entry in offsetting account nullify debit in account given in OBYC when COGS is posted).

  • ADDDITIVE COST FOR PRODUCT COST BY SALES ORDER SCENARIO.

    Dear friends,
We are using costing for sales order & we have maintained the costing variant under the path IMG> Controlling> Product Cost Controlling> cost object controlling> Product cost by sales order >premliminary costing & order based costing>product costing for sales order costing>Costing variant for Product costing >Check costing variant for product costing.
Under this we have maintained the Costing variant, Now we need to have Additive cost. But didnt found the tab in the costing variant where as when we check in T.code OKKN which is a part of Product cost planning we can find the Additive cost tab.
How to run addtive costing run for Product cost by sales order scenario & please guide me with one example.
Or else is there any configuration where we can assign standard costing variant PPC1 instead of Costing variant SOC1 ( which is a costing variant of Product cost by sales order.
    Please guide me
    regards,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
You may please try using Unit Costing for Sale Order.
It is over an above the sale order costing you have done. So in case you want to post any additional known cost, you may do the unit costing for the sale order after the sale order costing.
    Trust this helps

  • Routing data for configurable products (Sales order costing)

    Hi
I am runnign sales order cost estimate for configurable product. here I want to confirm the activity quantity with cost estimate.
Pls let me know where can I check the activity quantity information . Pls help
    Thanks
    Sneha

    Hi Sneha
I am bit confused with the terms you used..
you cannot confirm activity qty while doing cost estimate... Activity confirmation happens during Production Confirmation
Are you talking about missing activity qty/cost in sales order cost estimate?? Contact your PP consultant... You should have a routing attached while creating the sales order.. If that is there, then Activity cost would show up in the sales order cost estimate

  • Sales order Costing mark and release

    Dear all,
Kindly help on the following issue:-
Can we mark and release Sale order costing like product costing(in CK24).
    best regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi,
Sale order costing is determined by Requirement Class and Item category defined for MTO process in Product Costing.
Sale Order costing keeps changing when you compare normal costing with CK11n or CK40n.

  • Sales order cost estimate with GIT account

    Hi,
Business introduced Goods - in - Transit (Balance sheet account), so PGI will always post to GIT and Invoice it will get reversed.
For one of the Configuratble material (MTO) scenario we need the Sales order cost estimate to get the Planned cost.
When i try to execute the sales order cost estimate it says cost element doesnot exist for GIT GL (WHich is right).
But with maintaining the GIT how to achieve the sales order cost estimate.
I tried to create CE category 90 for GIT, in Cost estimate am getting error CE 90 not supported for Cost estimate.
Kindly help this is kind of urgent req for us
    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Hello Ashley
Yes, if you have done your settings correctly, especially Requirements class set up  (see the documentation link),  then the cost estimate will flow to a condition type in Pricing, usually EK01/EK02 conditions. These conditions are used to calculate sales prices (PR00) in cost-plus (mark-up) scenarios.

However Profit margin  as calculated in a sales order comes from VPRS condition  (which is based in Material Master) and is the difference of net value and VPRS condition value in normal circumstance.
Hope other more knowledgeable experts will weigh in.

  • Plan cost on sales orders

    Good morning,
does anyboby know if and how is possible planning costs on sales orders?
Currently, sales orders are set as account assignment; actual costs are accounted without problems on sales orders and report KKBC_KUN properly shows costs. But no plan data.
Furthermore, we execute cost estimate on sales orders through CK51N.
Please tell me something more if you know.

  • Different versions in Sales order cost estimate

    Hi,

  • CATS vs. Sales order cost estimate

    Hi Gurus,
If I sent some hours to the sales order item thru CATS, can I have them in the sales order cost estimate?
    Thanks
    g

    Thanks.
So the one way to have CATS hours in sales order cost estimate is somehow squeeze these hours into the sales order BOM, init?
What is the best way to do? Plan it in the routing and put the actual hours thru CATS into the production order? Or some other way?

  • Sales Order Cost Estimates -- Versions?

In our MTS plant we are creating cost estimates each month with different version numbers so they can easily be compared to review cost changes.
This concept in our MTO plant is (of course) a problem.
We would like to create a dummy sales order and on each line list a KMAT and build an "average" configuration.  We use variant config, so the sales order bom is built automatically.  It also costs automatically.  We would like to save this cost estimate and compare it with a cost estimate of the same configuration next month.   I do not have an option for version CK51n, nor do I see a Costing Date in KEKO table.  Either of these items for MTS would create a second cost estimat and allow comparison.
Is there a way to compare Sale Order Cost Estimates across periods?
Any other suggestions as to how to obtain the required data??
    Thank you for all suggestions!!

Any one think of a solution?
    thanks

  • Sales order cost estimate

    hi,
While saving the sales order cost estimate its getting the GL account from GBB-ZG0.
as we assigned Balance sheet account its asking the cost element.
can you please explain what is link to get the gl from GBB-ZGO, can we change this to pick from GBB-VBR.
    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Hi,
Are you are working with unvaluated special stock ?  In this case, the system is looking for a consumption account via the account assignment category. For example if you are using requirement class ZPJ which uses account assignment category Q. In account assignment Q, you entered account modification VBR. Therefore, the system is looking for an account via the keys GBB / VBR.
