WD ALV Default Table Width Changed in SPS06

Hi, we just upgraded our SAP ECC 604 SPS from 3 to 6.
All our WD ALV table width are now maximized to fit the hole screen,
I just search for an API but I can't find one, I tried if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_fixed_table_layout but it does not change anything!
I know I could get an object instance for each WD columns and set a default width, but that is long & painfull!
Check my 2 screenshots,

Alex

Thanks guys, I had to call the set_width method before and it works!
wd_this->mr_alv_table->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_width( '500' ).
wd_this->mr_alv_table->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_fixed_table_layout( abap_false ).
Thanks Thomas for the OSS note, it's very well explained!

  • Advance Table Width Formatting

    Hi
    I have created a shared region having a advance table.
    I added the shared region in the page using personalization.
    The table width changes as per the data contained in it.
    Sometimes, the user has to horizontally scroll on the browser.
    I want to data to be displayed in table without the need for horizontal scrolling.
    I tried to specify the column width, but it does not work.
    Also, the cell No Wrap property is all set to default "False".
    is there any way to control the width and cause the data to wrap instead of horizontal scrolling.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    No, you can't handle this.
    See this note from dev guide:
    No matter what value you specify for the table width, if the width is not large enough to accommodate the table content, the value is overridden at display time to take up the minimum amount of necessary space.

  • Need to delete or change default table of contents

    The default table of contents created when I imported a
    FrameMaker book is empty. I reimported the book (using a different
    option) and created a new TOC. I want to use this one in my
    project. Some questions:
    1. Can I change the default TOC to be the new (non-empty)
    one? If so, how? (Can you refer me to a topic in the RoboHelp
    Documentation?)
    2. Can I delete the default TOC? If so, how? (Can you refer
    me to a topic in the RoboHelp Documentation?)
    3. If the answers to the above questions is "no," can I just
    ignore the default (empty) one & use the new (nonempty) one
    when I generate? If so, how? (Can you refer me to a topic in the
    RoboHelp Documentation?)

    However, I thought that the blank TOC was created before I
    learned the "correct" way to import FrameMaker documents: by
    reference. So I can't say what would have happened if I had
    imported the book by reference initially. Nonetheless, I have the
    same result - a blank default TOC that I can't remove (as Peter
    points out).

  • Skinning table. Change width of the table.

    I want to change width of all table so that sub-control-bar gets affected too. I've learned that there's no way to define it that way:
    af|table {
    width:60%;
    and if I write:
    af|table::content {
    width:60%;
    and then change width of sub-control-bar component to the same amount it doesn't look the same...

    Hello,
    I have a similarly problem. I use an addRemoveList in my page and I want to set the width of the two lists to static value (like width=300px and not width=auto). Can you tell me if this is possible in Java Studio Creator 2?
    Thank you!

  • In FM tables And Changing r bu default Pass by value or ref

    hi friends ,
    In Function Module Tables And Changing are by default Pass by value or reference.
    with regards.

    hi all,
    i got the answer from abap in 21 days (page No 591),
    changing parameters are passed by value and result.
    internal tables are pass by reference.

  • Change default table settings

    How do I change the default table settings in Pages? I usually want 2 columns without headings or borders, and it always defaults to 3 columns with headings and borders.

    You need to create your own default template. Open the blank template & insert a table, click in it & choose the font, size, color, etc. you want in the fonts panel or format bar. You can do similar changes to inserted objects & text boxes. While you're at it resize the box if you want, set the amount of extra space in the wrap inspector, etc. Delete each text box, object & table after you've set them. Now, save this document as a template & select that template as default in preferences. If you decide to make any changes to the template down the road, just Save As Template again with the same name & replace the previous version.
    Now, save this as a template then, in Pages > Preferences, select this template as the default for new documents. All of your new documents will have these settings for inserted objects, images & tables. Unfortunately, the settings won't apply to any other templates or "foreign" documents you open with Pages.
    About the only thing you can’t set a template to do is remember to show invisibles & the window position. It is possible to get a template to show invisibles when opened, if you want. Save this document as a document then, in the Finder, change the extension from .pages to .template & put it in your My Templates folder in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates.Set up your document with the line spacing, margins, headers, etc. as you'd like. Redefine all of the paragraph & character styles to have your desired font.

  • Pros & Cons of changing default content width of 700px.

    Can anybody tell me the reason iWeb sets the default content width of a page at 700 px?
    What are the implications to using a different width for page layout?
    Is this value set at 700 px to make the pages easy to format for hard copy readout
    or is this a screen size issue for the visitors to my website?

    There's a dfference between the way the iPhone browser displays a webpage and chosing the iPhone agent in the Developer menu.
    The iPhone simulator shows the webpages as it is in the iPhone. You can rotate the iPhone, click content to zoom. display movies, etc.
    The useragent simply tells the server that the client is an iPhone and the server will display other sets of pages.
    For the MSIE simpaticos : Using the MSIE agent allows you to display MSIE-only webpages. You simply fool the server.
    Anyway, here are two sample websites for the iPhone.
    http://www.npr.org/
    http://iphone.akamai.com/
    Change the useragent to iPhone and you'll see the changes.

  • Custom report - Can't customize font / table width etc

    So i'm authoring my first report - that works fine; however I can't seem to figure out how to customize the font / table width etc. I'm creating an RDL file from Report Server Project Wizard in Visual Studio and in there i'm changing font sizes and table
    widths and I can see its changing in the RDL file's XML. I then plug the RDL file into my managment pack and import it. I run the report and the results always have this huge font and the table widths don't change. Anyone have any idea what i'm missing or
    why that would be happening? heres the RDL file for reference:

    If you click on work around someone posted that they were able to modify the default font in visual studio.
    "If I am not mistaken, you can update your Report.rdl template file in visual studio
    to use the default font you wish to use.
    navigate to this location (where x is your visual studio version):
    C:-\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio x\Common7\ide\PrivateAssemblies\ProjectItems\ReportProject
    copy report.rdl to an already created report project.
    Add the report to your report project
    Update the default font where applicable.
    Copy the updated report.rdl back to the location above and that is it.
    The next time you open your project, you will be using the update rdl file as your
    template.
    You can do this as many times as you want.

  • Table widths - HELP!

    I’m trying to get to grips with DW. I’ve built my
    table layout and added a few elements but I’ve decided that I
    want to alter the width of my tables.
    Trouble is every time I key in the new table width in the
    properties panel it just defaults back to a blank value and I cant
    change any of the widths of my tables.
    Why is this? How do I change my table widths?
    Also why are the table widths now displayed as
    ‘blank’ in the properties panel when I had keyed them
    in previously when originally building the layout.

    Is this a template child page? Can we see the code on the
    page, including
    the CSS?

  • How can we find out data in an editable ALV grid has been changed or not?

    Hi Experts,
    How can we find out whether a data in an editable ALV grid has been changed or not.
    I am using the
    FM -> REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC
    for ALV display.
    I have to chekc whther data has been changed or not befor saving. if changed then only i want to
    SAVE
    . I cannot use the internal table comparison method for this purpose also i am not using OOP ALV.
    So kindly sugest me an alternative.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shahana

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer. I already saw this post.
    See this method.
    CALL METHOD reuse_alv_grid->check_changed_data
    IMPORTING
    e_valid = lv_check.
    This will update the internal table with the edited values. Then we can go for internal table comparison.
    But my scenario will not allow me for itab comparisons.I just want to know the ALV data has been changed or not.

  • Dynamic Table Width for XML Renderer

    Hi Guys,
    I'm looking for a way to get a XML documents with a dynamic table width.
    Using a dynamic result table doesn't work.
    The test program looks like this.
    REPORT  xml_test.
    TYPE-POOLS: ixml.
    DATA: go_ixml TYPE REF TO if_ixml.
    go_ixml = cl_ixml=>create( ).
    DATA:  go_xml_document TYPE REF TO if_ixml_document.
    go_xml_document = go_ixml->create_document( ).
    DATA: go_xml_root_elm TYPE REF TO if_ixml_element.
    go_xml_root_elm  = go_xml_document->create_simple_element(

         out_string          = lv_str.
      WRITE: / lv_str.

    If the static table is used, the program gets a result, but it doesn't work with the dynamic table.
    * Static Table works
    go_ostream = go_xml_streamfactory->create_ostream_itable( table = gt_xml_table ).
    * Dynamic Table doesn't work
    go_ostream = go_xml_streamfactory->create_ostream_itable( table = <lf_x_tab> ).
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    I've never used dynamically changing popup items variable before, and I'm not sure it will work(?)
    But, if it's displaying a long string, it does not sound like 'items' is being assigned a proper table yet.
    I don't know what you mean by a  "chunk" of values. I assume you mean table.
    In any case, if SYPNEventResults[1].title is a string, then SYPNEventResults[1].value can be any legal lua type.
    Likewise for SYPNEventResults[2], SYPNEventResults[3], ...
    If you can index/display the title with this syntax, e.g. LrDialogs.message( SYPNEventResults[1].title ), then the popup should be initialized thusly:
    viewFactory:popup_menu {
           items = SYPNEventResults,
           value = LrView.bind('eventname2'),
           width_in_chars = 40,
    if a function is returning multiple values, then to get it into a table "array", do this:
    local tableArray = { myTableArrayFunc( myTableArrayParameters ) }
    Does this help?

  • Table width not displaying correctly in IE - Works in Mozilla / Chrome

    I am working tirelessly trying to optimize my site for SEO purposes and I have been able to strip out over a hundred lines of extra code while maintaining my sites look. The problem is in doing so I messed something up - well at least Internet Explorer seems to think so. My site renders just fine in Mozilla and Chrome but for whatever reason, the width of the main table for my product pages is showing up a lot wider than it should. I currently have it set to 859 pixels but Explorer is rendering a much larger table. For the life of me, I can not figure out why this is happening. Our sites homepage The BlueDot is located at http://www.thebluedot.net is showing up as it should in Explorer, but if you click on any of the products it goes wider for some reason? I have limited code access in my store front whereas I have complete control over my home page. Again - it shows as it should in Mozilla and Chrome but not Explorer...
    If you happen to decide to help and see anything else I can strip down in the code or make more Google friendly - please let me know - I would so much appreciate any help you could provide. I have tried stripping out any extra tables I could with my current experience with CSS, HTML and Div tags but I know I could probably strip out much more unneeded code if my skills were a bit better.
    What am I doing wrong in my code that explorer is deciding to make the table width much wider?
    Thanks so much in advance.

    body {
         background-color:fff;
         font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
         color: #006;
    Add a # to your background color above.
    Also align="center" is deprecated code just so you know. It looks like the table is being populated dynamically from a database. Tables will expand to hold the content it's given - just make sure your dynamically created tables use CSS that constrains the width as you desire it. Potentially this is an ASP .NET control issue (it looks like you're using .asp) and you may need to change that (the control) through whatever CSS it uses.
    Hope this helps.

  • Dreamweaver 8 - Height of tables keeps changing when images added to another table

    Greetings! i have a rather annoying problem on my hands with
    dreamweaver.
    Currently for a small college project i am being asked to
    design a small yet effective website to show students in the future
    what will be expected.
    So i've drawn up my template etc etc and all was going
    well.... i created a table with 2 columns, 1 row on the right side
    (where information shall be written) and 7 on the left hand column.
    At the very top of the left hand column i have a 250x250
    image and the other columns house several Sub links.
    Now upon typing information in the right hand column
    everything went well when browsing.....i then added pictures to the
    right hand column that will be clickable links for
    enlargements....of which dreamweaver had a small hissy fit and
    stretched the left hand columns 90% down the total width of the
    page....which a simple click on the border line solved and
    everything went back to proportion. BUT what i get when browsing is
    completley baffeling! Several of the left hand rows are stretched
    like crazy! and i havent a clue why! some screen shots will be
    viewable below...but i was wondering if any folk out there with any
    information into solving this problem could help!
    This is the dreamweaver view
    http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e92/Kaoscontrol/Dreamweaverview.jpg
    And this is the browser view i get on every computer i've
    tried it on
    http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e92/Kaoscontrol/Browserview.jpg
    If there is anyone that can help me out it would be greatley
    appretiated.
    Many thanks
    James

    Try changing this -
    action="Mailto: [email protected]"
    to this -
    action=''Mailto:[email protected]''
    I am doubtful that this will help, but give it a try.
    You do know how unreliable that method is, right?

  • Unable to set default table attributes in Keynote

    I've been trying to change the default table attributes in one of my themes, and as per the description in the Keynote manual (page 237-8), this should be a straightforward process:
    1) In the slide navigator, create a new slide.
    2) If you're setting up default attributes for a particular master slide (rather than all the masters in the current theme), click Masters in the toolbar and choose the master slide. [I want to change the table attributes in all master slides in the particular theme, I skip this step.)
    3) Place a table on the slide.
    4) Select the table and set its attributes.
    5) Do one of the following: To make the table the default for only the current master slide, choose Format>Advanced>Define Table for Current Master. To make the table the default for all masters slides in the current theme, choose Format>Advanced>Define Table for All Masters.
    6) If you don't want the table on the slide, delete the table.
    Step 1) through 4) is unproblematic, but the second I try to execute step 5), the new formatting is all mixed up, and I am left with a table that looks nothing like the one I have just created in step 4). (Choosing to make the new table layout valid only in the current master doesn't help.)
    Any thoughts on how to sort this out would be greatly appreciated!  I should mention that following a similar procedure for diagrams works like a dream.

    Hi!
              We have same problem!
             The layout can be selected in application, but it is not taken as default.
         We appreciate your feedback
    Best Regards.

  • Schema not showing default tables

    Anyone know why a requested and granted schema would not have the default tables? Can a granted schema be deleted? Should I be asking schema questions to the administrator? Thanks in advanced for your feed back.

    Hello,
    Could we get you to change your number to a name so we have a name to talk to? (I'm Howard.)
    I'm confused. Are you talking about a schema on apex.oracle.com? Or is there a schema in some other database?
    Exactly which tables did you expect but you are not seeing?
