WD-Element TABLE Setting 1st Row

Hello,
in WD(ABAP) I use a TABLE-Control. It is bind to a node. The node is bind to a internal table with a lot of entries.
Now I want ro show the Rows beginning at specific row , greater than 1 at startup-time.
The example should show the rows 30 to 40 in the table.
It does not work.
SELECT * FROM ZMYTABLE INTO TABLE itab_df_m WHERE kenn_mq = 'M' .
  SORT  itab_df_m.
  node->bind_table( new_items =  itab_df_m
    set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
  node->SET_LEAD_SELECTION_INDEX( index = 30 ).
Some sugestions?
Thanks
Wolfgang

there is a property called firstVisibleRow of table control, you can make use of this.
create a context attribute of type integer and bind this with the above mentioned property
and set the attribute using
wd_context->set_attribute( name = '<name>' value = 20 ).
instead 20 you can set at which ever row yuo want

    How to Fix the 1st row in Table
                 In EP, one of the page we are getting out put in the table format. It's working fine, but as per the new requirement we have to fix (freeze) the first row of the table. (.i.e. whenever I click the page down button first row should be visible in the table). Can you help regarding the above issue?
    For Example: in Table having 6 rows. In 1st row display Year Month and 2,3,4---etc Rows will display Quantity. Click on Page down Button in Table we are able to staring 2row. First was a movie up. So End user canu2019t find which year/moth under the Quantity is available.
    So I have to fix in 1st row. Click on page down button table 1st row is fixed but comes to another Quantity Records.
    It is Possible in Table?  If possible please tell me.

    Hi KalluriVijay
    I don't think there is direct availabe method available to fix the row. However, there are two ways using which you can achieve the requirement:
    To go ahead with the custom table. This way you can set your own properties for the table. However, this may impact performance handling large data.
    Second option is to use other features of NW04s (Not available in NW04) like Table Popins using which you can achieve something similar.
    For Table Popins refer [TablePopin|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/23/5e9041d3c72e7be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]

  • TABLE - How to set the row in the table

    I have a problem where I have a selection on one view and then call a second view to display the results in a table. The table displays 5 rows. I then go down to the 20th row and select the row. When I have finished processing, I still have row 20 selected and I go back via a plug to the selection screen. I then enter new criteria and go back to the second view and the table displays that data showing row 20 as the first row. How do I get it to go back to row 1 every time I go into the second view??

    Hello Graeme,
    assuming i understand the problem, as a quick solution it would perhaps help to set the lifetime of the second view from "framework controlled" to "when visible" (in the properties of the view). Another way could be to explictly invalidate the context node holding the data for the second view after having left the view.
    Kind regards

  • How do I extract a set of rows from a table based on specified criteria?

    I am using Numbers '08. I have a table that looks like this:
    I would like to, programmatically, find the MAX amount of all the 'Clothing' category items. More generally I'd like it to work like the COUNTIF function where I can do this:
    MAX(INCLUDEIF('Table::Category', 'Clothing'))
    I think my intention is clear.
    I suppose an alternate way is to create a table for every category and just do a MAX over that table, but this seems redundant since I already have that data in this particular table. Thanks!

    The easiest way, to me, is to add a new column to you data table which only shows values from rows that match the category for which you want to find the max():
    The new column (in this example) is titled "Active Category" and is selected from a Summary table.  Add a new table titled "Summary" as shown.
    Make cell B2 contain the category.
    Let's get the data table set up with the new column:
    E2=IF(C2=Summary :: $B$2, D2, "")
    select E2 and fill down.  This will only show the amount IF the category in column C matches what you entered in the summary table:
    Now let's complete the summary table:
    B3=MAX(Data :: E)
    I hope this helps

  • Looping the same answer from the 1st row in the table

    I have a database with 3 tables: (1) employeeTable (2) cityTable (3)stateTable.
    I reference the employee's city name and state code by each id number from the cityTable and stateTable.
    My Employee table has about 10 records, 3 has an idcity and idstate input, the rest are blank.
    (1st row) id 9 for Henderson, id 28 for NV (6th row) id 9 for Henderson, id 28 for NV, and (10th row) id 10 for Las Vegas, id 28 for NV
    I run a query:
    <cfquery datasource="dsnName" name="qEmployees">SELECT * FROM users ORDER BY lastName ASC</cfquery>
    <cfquery datasource="dsnName" name="qState">SELECT code FROM states WHERE idstate=#qEmployees.idstate#</cfquery>
    <cfquery datasource="dsnName" name="qCity">SELECT name FROM cities WHERE idcities=#qEmployees.idcity#</cfquery>
    a run the table output:
    <table>
        <cfoutput query="qEmployees">
        <tr>
            <td>#qEmployees.lastName#, #qEmployees.firstName#</td>
            <td>#qCity.name#</td>
            <td width="40">#qState.code#</td>
            <td width="60">#qEmployees.zipCode#</td>
        </tr>
         </cfoutput>
    </table>
    PROBLEM:
    All 10 records output in the table as the same answer from the 1st row (Henderson, NV).
    What's making this loop having the same answer from the 1st row and affects all the rows with blank info or different info?
    I've been trying to figure this out for weeks and I hope the community can help me out. Thanks!

    As Dan rightly says, take a look into table joins; there's no point just giving you the answer as you'll just get stuck next time and these forums are to help people rather than to do their jobs for them.
    What you're looking to do is a relatively simple join, so you shouldn't have to read up for long before you've mastered them. Plus your site will be significantly more efficient

  • MERGE error : unable to get a stable set of rows in the source tables

    Hi,
    For an update, the following MERGE statement throws the error-unable to get a stable set of rows in the source tables:
    MERGE INTO table2t INT
    USING (SELECT DISTINCT NULL bdl_inst_id,.......
    FROM table1 ftp
    WHERE ftp.gld_business_date = g_business_date
    AND ftp.underlying_instrument_id IS NOT NULL) ui
    ON ( ( INT.inst_id = ui.inst_id
    AND g_business_date BETWEEN INT.valid_from_date
    AND INT.valid_to_date
    OR ( INT.ric = ui.ric
    AND g_business_date BETWEEN INT.valid_from_date
    AND INT.valid_to_date
    OR ( INT.isin = ui.isin
    AND g_business_date BETWEEN INT.valid_from_date
    AND INT.valid_to_date
    OR ( INT.sedol = ui.sedol
    AND g_business_date BETWEEN INT.valid_from_date
    AND INT.valid_to_date
    OR ( INT.cusip = ui.cusip
    AND g_business_date BETWEEN INT.valid_from_date
    AND INT.valid_to_date
    WHEN MATCHED THEN
    UPDATE
    SET INT.inst_id = ui.inst_id, INT.ric = ui.ric
    WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN
    INSERT (inst_key, ......)
    VALUES (inst_key, ......);
    To determine the existence of a record, first check if any match is found on the first key, if not then search for the second key and so on.
    Now two records with differenct first key, i.e. inst_id, can have the same ric(second key). On a rerun, with the target table already populated, the code fails. The reason is it finds duplicate entries for the second key.
    Any suggestions on how to make this work?
    Thanks in advance.
    Annie

    Annie
    You've spotted the problem (that two records have the same RIC). MERGE doesn't allow that; each record in the data being updated is only allowed to be updated once.
    Is there a PK column (or columns) that we can rely on?
    What you can try is to outer join FTP to INT. Something like:
    MERGE INTO INT int1
    USING (
        select columns_you_need
        from (
            select ftp.columns -- whatever they are
                   , int2.columns
                   , row_number() over (partition by int2.pk_columns order by int2.somecolumns) as rn
            from   ftp
            left join int int2
            on (the condition you used in your query)
        where rn=1
    ) s
    WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE ...
    WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT ...So if you can restrict the driving query so that only the first one of the possible updates actually gets presented to the MERGE operation, you might be in with a chance :-)
    And of course this error is nothing to do with any triggers.
    HTH

    Please try this
    create table UPDTE_DEFERRED_MAILING_RECORDS nologging as
    SELECT distinct a.CUST_ID,
    a.EMP_ID,
    a.PURCHASE_DATE,
    a.drank,
    c.CONTACT_CD,
    c.NEW_CUST_CD,
    a.DM_ROW_ID
    FROM (SELECT a.ROWID AS DM_ROW_ID,
    a.CUST_ID,
    a.EMP_ID,
    a.PURCHASE_DATE,
    dense_rank() over(PARTITION BY a.CUST_ID, a.EMP_ID ORDER
    BY a.PURCHASE_DATE DESC, a.ROWID) DRANK
    FROM deferred_mailing a) a,
    customer c
    WHERE a.CUST_ID = c.CUST_ID
    AND a.EMP_ID = c.EMP_ID
    AND (a.PURCHASE_DATE <= c.PURCHASE_DATE OR
    c.PURCHASE_DATE IS NULL)
    and a.drank=1;
    The query you've posted is behaving according to the expectations. The inner select is returning one row and the outer is returning two as the
    WHERE a.CUST_ID = c.CUST_ID
    AND a.EMP_ID = c.EMP_ID
    AND (a.PURCHASE_DATE <= c.PURCHASE_DATE OR
    c.PURCHASE_DATE IS NULL)
    conditions are seeing two rows in the table customer.
    I've added the a.drank=1 clause to skip the duplicates from the inner table and distinct in the final result to remove duplicates from the overall query result.
    For eg, if you have one more row in the deferred_mailing like this
    SQL> select * from DEFERRED_MAILING;
    CUST_ID EMP_ID PURCHASE_
    444 10 11-JAN-11
    444 10 11-JAN-11
    then the query without "a.drank=1" will return 4 rows like this by the outer query.
    CUST_ID EMP_ID PURCHASE_ DM_ROW_ID DRANK C N
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAB 2 Y Y
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAA 1 Y Y
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAB 2 Y Y
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAA 1 Y Y
    It'll return the below even if we use distinct on the same query(i.e. without a.drank=1)
    CUST_ID EMP_ID PURCHASE_ DM_ROW_ID DRANK C N
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAB 2 Y Y
    444 10 11-JAN-11 AAATi2AAGAAAACcAAA 1 Y Y
    which contains duplicates again.
    So, we need a combination of distinct and dense here.

    Thanks for your help. Duplicate rows were the issue.
    I finally debugged the problem to my time dimension.
    The OWB wizard generated time dimension contains only date, but no time.
    Unfortunately, for me to uniquely identify my data, I need to include time also (detailed in how do I include 'Time' in a time dimension? .
    Since Carsten was the first one to answer this, I am awarding the points to him.

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks a lot for your quick response!
    We are using Jdev 11g. After received your response, i went through all of your responses in ADF coner and OTN for the related topics (setting detail row) and got some ideas(Specially, i got your detail coding for moving makeCurrent expression into selection listener method into backing bean, etc ) and was ready for coding this function. But our PM changed their mind and we dont need this function. So, I had to move to another area......
    Your articles and your responses really help me!
    Thanks again for your help!

  • Table only pulls 1st row from SQL database?

    Hi,
    I have created a table in Livecycle Designer ES that pulls in data from a SQL Server table with 2 rows, see table.gif attached..
    It only ever pulls in the first row and doesn't repeat for all rows in the SQL table.
    How can this be done?
    Thank you for your time,
    Ollie.

    Rich -
    The property loader step type does not look at data stored in the database as ordered. It assumes that anything in the recordset that meets the criteria specified on the filtering tab is importable. Whatever locals are defined within that filter are automatically applied and if two records apply to the same variable, then the last record applied wins.
    Keep in mind that the locals variable scope applies to all steps in the sequence so to define a set of local values for one step and another for a different step is not quite what we had in mind for the step type. The idea is to import properties before executing any steps in the sequence and then run the sequence. Importing properties between steps goes beyond the intended scope of the step, but
    it can be done if you limit the selected records using the filtering tab.
    Hope this helps...

  • MERGE Statement - unable to get a stable set of rows in the source tables

    OWB Client: 10.1.0.2.0
    OWB Repository: 10.1.0.1.0
    I am trying to create a MERGE in OWB.
    I get the following error:
    ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P004 ORA-30926: unable to get a stable set of rows in the source tables
    I have read the other posts regarding this and can't seem to get a fix.
    The target table has a unique index on the field that I am matching on.
    The "incoming" data doesn't have a unique index, but I have checked and confirmed that it is unique on the appropriate key.
    The "incoming" data is created by a join and filter in the mapping and I'd rather avoid having to load this data into a new table and add a unique index on this.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks
    Laura

    Hello Laura,
    The MERGE statement does not require any constraints on its target table or source table. The only requirement is that two input rows cannot update the same target row, meaning that all existing target rows can be matched by at most one input row (otherwise the MERGE would be undeterministic since you don't know which of the input rows you would end up with in the target).
    If a table takes ages to load (and is not really big) I suspect that your mapping is not running in set mode and that it performs a full table scan on source data for each target row it produces.
    If you ARE running in set mode you should run explain plan to get a hint on what is wrong.
    Regarding your original mapping, try to set the target operator property:
    Match by constraint=no constraints
    and then check the Loading properties on each target column.

    Hi,
    Conside you have Valuenode which is bound to table and valueattributtes bound to Tablecolumns.
    Create a elements of the Nodetype.
    Ex: IPrivate<<ViewName>>.INodeElement ele=wdContext.create<Node>Element();
    ele.set<<Attrib1>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib2>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib3>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib4>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib5>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib6>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib7>>(Value1);
    ele.set<<Attrib8>>(Value1);
    wdContext.node<<NodeName>>.addElement(ele);
    The above statements should be in a loop so that it will add 5 rows in Table. )
