How to Fix the 1st row in Table
In EP, one of the page we are getting out put in the table format. It's working fine, but as per the new requirement we have to fix (freeze) the first row of the table. (.i.e. whenever I click the page down button first row should be visible in the table). Can you help regarding the above issue?
For Example: in Table having 6 rows. In 1st row display Year Month and 2,3,4---etc Rows will display Quantity. Click on Page down Button in Table we are able to staring 2row. First was a movie up. So End user canu2019t find which year/moth under the Quantity is available.
So I have to fix in 1st row. Click on page down button table 1st row is fixed but comes to another Quantity Records.
It is Possible in Table? If possible please tell me.

I don't think there is direct availabe method available to fix the row. However, there are two ways using which you can achieve the requirement:
To go ahead with the custom table. This way you can set your own properties for the table. However, this may impact performance handling large data.
Second option is to use other features of NW04s (Not available in NW04) like Table Popins using which you can achieve something similar.

How can we set the row(in which row focus is) as current row in the table?
If we create a table with single row selection, then whichever row we select, that row becomes current row because of the selection listener(#{bindings.xxvo.collectionModel.makeCurrent}).
Then if we do tabout from one component to another component in table and moved to next row, then the focus would be on another row .
when focus is shifted from one row to another row, then how can we make the focused row as current row or selected row.

How to fix the width of ADF Table

Hi,
I am developing an application in ADF using ADF Faces Components . I am using Oracle Jdev 10.1.3.1.0
I am dropping the Transient View object as ADF Table on UI. I have set the width property of table to 100%, I have also changed the inlinestyle width also to 100%. These two did not work for me.
The issue is if a column has a value of bigger length the table size is extending and if the column has a value of smaller length the table size is reducing.
Is this the expected behaviour of the width property of the table ?? . Is there any way to fix the table size. Please provide me some pointers to fix the issue.

With this info in the table drop it is as view object on the UI.
Set the RangeSize to 2 in the PageDef.xml file
The issue is: For the first 4 rows the table size is showing perfectly but when it showing 5 and 6 row on the UI the table is stretching.
Please provide me some more pointers to fix this issue.

We too encountered this problem in EP 6.0. The code is correct. Actually
int index=wdContext.nodeSales_Orders1().getLeadSelection();
is enough.
But this is not the problem. It is the problem with either browser or Portal Runtime.
Is your version EP 6.0? Is this a problem for all tables or only this table? Check with other browsers like Mozilla..(or different IE versions).

How to read the particular row in table..

I have a dynamically generated table which is filled with values
from a Bean. The next step is to select a row in that table by
clicking on a check box. The problem is that i want to read 3
values from the selected row. I can get the value from the checkbox
button but i always get the values from the first line in the
table. Is there someway to select an entire row and submit in in
the request so i can read the values from the selected row?

but the checkbox values are printing rightly.I mean if user checks 1,5 rowed checkbox in next jsp printing 1 and 3.But the rowed values are printing sequence manner,not the chcked ones.

How to fix the column length and table length?

For column wrapping you can use the SET_WRAPPING of cl_salv_wd_header and the data.....you have got cell editor for that column right...then using the cell edtior reference you can get the specific cell tyep(like cl_salv_wd_text_view type check this)
this is object reference and you can use the set_wrapping of this class. using this you can get the wrapping functionality for the data also....
DATA: lr_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column,
           lr_column_header type ref to cl_salv_wd_header,
           lr_editor type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie,
           lr_textview type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view.

lr_editor = lr_column->get_cell_editor( ).
lr_textview ?= lr_editor.
lr_textview->set_wrapping( abap_true ).
Now for the column and it's data the wrapping is set...

first i explain my sap script, i have print void check in my script client give readymade format means box are there, lines are there. i have to fix in box and line data form database table. everthing is working fine. i got all data. i have total 6 window in my script .but i have one issue In my sap script in header window total five rows... like below

Bank:xyz
Batch no: 5678
now sometime check voucher is balnk....
Check voucher no: BLANK/NULL

because of that all rows are move up side and all window also move up side and so script not fix to the box and line all data are seen not perfectly... so guru`s how to fix the row and window in script....

Follow the below steps . Definately your issue will bve resolved.
Let us suppose you are printing following fields
PH &v_text&
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&
you will get the output as you expected.
and if you have any conditions for these fileds
/: if v_text is not initial.
PH &v_text&
/: endif
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&
if you have data in each field then you will get output as expected .
But when v_text is initial.
the data will be moved up wnhich is happening in your case.
so what you need to do is?
/: if v_text is not initial.
PH &v_text&
/: else
PH (Here you need to mention empty line with same paragraph format
/: endif.
PH &v_text1&
PH &v_text2&

I develop project with ADF in jdeveloper.
When click on the sorting column header in adf table,it will adjust the width of the sorting column header.It will make page shifting.
How can I do to avoid the adjusting ?

How to delete the committed row from a table from its VOImpl class ??

I am new to ADF and I have problem to solve. To perform roll back I am using fetching key before roll back and setting it after undo operation, so that I can stay back in the currently selected row. But in my case I am using application model commit for one LOV attribute selection in the row. So when ever I am performing roll back operation after inserting a row, the values other than this committed LOV attribute gets roll backed, but I need remove the entire row from table. Does there any option to remove a row based on the attribute values of a row from VO's row implementation or from bean class in a performance optimized way ?

Looping the same answer from the 1st row in the table

I have a database with 3 tables: (1) employeeTable (2) cityTable (3)stateTable.
I reference the employee's city name and state code by each id number from the cityTable and stateTable.
My Employee table has about 10 records, 3 has an idcity and idstate input, the rest are blank.
(1st row) id 9 for Henderson, id 28 for NV (6th row) id 9 for Henderson, id 28 for NV, and (10th row) id 10 for Las Vegas, id 28 for NV
I run a query:

All 10 records output in the table as the same answer from the 1st row (Henderson, NV).
What's making this loop having the same answer from the 1st row and affects all the rows with blank info or different info?

I want column value from table A and its corresponding data_type and length from table B. I think I cant do it through joins.
Any idea would be appreciated ?.

I have a Table View with filter='application'. The filter works fine but I am not able to control the width of the columns of the tableview .
On filtering, if there are not items in the table view the columns shrink to the minum width....and it looks very odd.

Hi Raja,
"FIXEDCOLUMN" did not help in the width of the column, but it just showed all the rows merged in the column.
I have a cloumn called "COUNTRY" and its width is set to "20". The Filter of the column "COUNTRY" is a dropdownlist whos value is update with new values.
On filtering if there is any row visible then the column width is adjusted to the maxmimum length of the dropdownlist ( this is because of the "EDIT" attribute in column definition ). But if there is no rows visiblel for the selected filter value then the filter row shrinks to the width = "20" and the dropdownlist is not visible completely.
Need to know how to control the width of the FILTER column.
