The FP-1600 should be sending data is relatively synchronized to the OPC Server. However, since items containing multiple analog/count channels are not allowed in the OPC Server, the OPC Server is treating the channels as separate channels and may not be transmitting the data simultaneously.
The more complete picture looks like this: The FP-1600 reads all 6 channels of the FP-CTR-500, it compares each value to the configured deadband and places any values that have changed in the transmit queue, it then does the same thing for any other I/O modules on the system. Following the scan of the entire bank, it transmits all of the changed data to the client computer. It then starts scanning the bank and the process repeats. The OPC Serv
er on the client computer breaks the data down by channels into the appropriate memory locations. An OPC Client will establish separate requests for each channel. Thus a client may sequentially request data from separate channels and may get data from different times if the OPC Client has updated channels between responding to one data request and then the next.

You need to force the phone into recovery mode, as described here, & restore it:

Sorry, you've already lost all data on your phone.

  • FP-CTR-500 don't read external count inputs

I have 4 frequency signal inputs (0-10 KHz) connected to ports 2,3,4,5 of one FP-CTR-500, but I can't read any change on counting values, using FieldPoint Explorer. The module is OK, all the LEDs are green, including those four inputs, the firmware version of FP-1600 is 4.11 and software version of FieldPoint Explorer is 3.0.0 I can view a fix value of 53xx counts on each input, after a power up sequence (the external frequency is 8.2 KHz aprox.). What can I do?

There are several reasons that you may be having problems with the count. First, if the channel LED is always on, then the signal wired into the FP-CTR-500 may not be going low enough (below 6 volts) for the module to see the falling and rising edges. Second, if the inputs have been configured with the 200 Hz low pass filter setting, you may be filtering out your signal. Third, if you have configured the count channels for internal count inputs (1 kHz Reference or 32 kHz Reference) or previous count channel, then the module is not looking at your actual wired signals. Fourth, If you have enabled the Gate Inputs (channels 8-11) for any of the counters, then the count will not increment while the gate is low. Fifth, if the channel is configured for Reset On Read fu
nctionality, every time the FP-1600 polls the FP-CTR-500, the channel will reset itself.

  • FP-CTR-500 and Frequency Measurement: How to modify it to report the frequency (0-10 Hz) every one minute?

How to modify "Frequency Measurement" to report the frequency every one minute?
The signal frequencies vary from 0 to 10 Hz (see the analog output plot and attached sample data file), so I want record the average frequency every one minute.
    Software: Labview 8.5
    Hardware: FP-CTR-500
Program: "Frequency Measurement"  --build in and under "NI example finder", It was attached with this message.
Physical wiring: (1) The signal I want to measure to count input 1 (pins 2 and 18).  it is a pulse signal (range from 0 to 1 V, see the plot and attached data file).
     (2) Wire Output 0 (pin 130 to gate 0 (pin 9).   Do com pins 26 and 30 need to wire together?
FP-CTR-5000 was set up in Max based on the program instructions. I have tried different gating pulse frequency, my readings are always "0".

CTR-500 high pulse is >=10V. Hence, it always read your pulse as low. With this low voltage pulse, you must use analog input module, and write a program to read pulse from analog level. You must also make sure that you pulse is not so narrow that cFP loop is not fast enough to capture voltage change.

  • Read external mail through ABAP

    Hi All,
i want read external mail ( say yahoo, gamil etc) through ABAP code with attachments.
    Thanks and regards
    JK

    Hi,
Reading external email through pure ABAP won't be an easy task as far as I know. Because it needs user login and password authentication. Therefore it would be better to use something like cURL, which is a good tool for simulating a user's actions at a web browser. You can use cURL on a web server with php installed and after reading the emails pass the contents to ABAP.

  • FP-CTR-500 outputs are failed?..

We are working with a tandem FP-1600/FP-CTR-500, and we have set the 4 outputs of the counter module in toggle mode, using 2 counter channel to generate square-waves. All 4 output LEDs are blinking OK, but there are no change in the voltages of physical outputs (position 13, 14, 15 y 16 of terminal block). 24 VDC/ground of power supply is connected to pin V and C, and each different output has a fixed voltage level of 0.65 to 0.85 Volts aprox., even after power-up or general reset. By this way, there are no loads connected to those outputs. Can anybody help me?.

I really do not recommend the self-repair option.
I must point out that opening the module and making any changes to the circuit board voids all warranties on the device. Additionally, whereas I have a fairly good idea of what components need to be replaced, there is no guarentee that what we believe are the damaged components are actually the components at fault. Furthermore, for the components that I would suggest as the likeliest possible cause, your electronic maintenance department may or may not have industrial rated components available to replace the components and would not be set up to fully test the module after it is repaired. The test fixtures at National Instruments for the FP-CTR-500 are set up to test the cou
nt inputs, internal clocks, frequency rejection filters, outputs, gates, input bandwidth and output bandwith.
However, if you feel that your department is up to it, and are willing to void the warranty, then I can tell you which of the components (by the way, these are surface mount IC's) are the likeliest to have been damaged.

  • External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either recording or on voice calls

My laptop model name is HP Pavilion dv4-1100ea which is shipped with Vista Home premium 32 bits and has got service pack 1.
Restored the laptop to factory setting since then I am having the following problems; I had the same problem when my laptop was brand new and whenever I reset the laptop to factory setting I get the following problems:
    1. External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either in middle of the recording using sound recorder or while the call in progress on voice calls (skype):
Using the sound recorder if I start recording the sound with external  mike  and in-between  recording if I  switchover from external mike to inbuilt mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound  up till where I used the external mike during recording, after the switchover to inbuilt mike I cant hear any sound.
But if I start the recording with inbuilt mike and in between recording  if I plug in  the external mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound up till where I used the inbuilt mike during recording , after the switchover to external mike I cant hear any sound.
So in brief both my external and internal mikes are working fine, only problem is that if I start recording (using sound recorder) or voice call with one specific mike, I have to continue with it till the end. I can’t switchover to another mike in between the conversation (voice call) or recording, if I do so, I have to select the mike manually in chat software but while recording I cant even select manually because in laptop, it takes the mike whichever is in current use as default mike in recording tab(sound window). The green tick automatically (in recording device tab) switches over according to the use of mike. Though the green tick in the recording tab is switching over automatically according to use of mikes, its not picking up the sound after switch over during recording.
    2. And also when I click on recording device tab in sound window and plug in external mike, though the green tick automatically switchovers from internal to external mike, while I speak both internal and external mikes volume meter respond to the sound inputs by rising and falling but if I take out external mike, green tick goes to internal mike and when I speak only internal mike volume meter respond to sound rising up and down not the external mike.
To resolve the issue I have tried following steps with no luck:
1.I have checked the mikes(internal and external) properties, the both mike shows to be enabled in general tab, in level tab the volume is set to 100 and in advanced tab , all options are selected.
    2. In device manager I have got only one audio driver named as “IDT High definition Audio CODEC”. I have uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it using scan for hardware option
    3. Uninstalled the audio driver in device manager and reinstalled the audio driver using recovery manager > advanced option> hardware driver re-installation.
    3. I have updated the BIOS(Insyde F.65, 12/02/2010).
    4. I tried to update the audio driver using below link but things went more worse so I did system restore (not factory setting though).

Sounds like you need to upgrade to the iPhone 5s
    The 5s has Touch ID
You can unlock your phone with your finger instead of typing in a key code
No swiping to unlock either, just touch the home button
You can enrol multiple fingers as well
Here is a video of it in action
    http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/videos/#video-touch
Or wait and see what iPhone 6 has to offer
That being said, as desiel vdub posted if the phone is up to your face, the proximity sensor should turn the screen off
And when you lower the phone turn it back on again
Not sure about the phone locking when your on a call doesn't sound right

All my hard drives (internal and external) have a small lock in the lower left corner of the icon and I don't have permissions to access. I have 3 user accounts set up and I cannot access any of them.   Permissions are set to 'Custom' in the get info window and I can't change them. Originally I had Snow Leopard installed on one hard drive and 10.5.8 installed on another.   I started to have some problems accessing data between them and so I tried changing the permissions on ONE hard drive partition.   The next thing I know, all my drives are locked (except the ones with the systems on them), the small lock appeared in the lower left corner of the drive icons and I don't have permissions to access any of them.   In the get info window, permissions are set to 'Custom' and I can't change them.

There is suddenly a lock icon on my external backup drive!

  • What is the diffrence between External postings and Internal postings in CO

    Dear all,
Can brief me anyone about the Externa postings and Internal postings in CO,
I suspected all postings from outside or interface postings is External postings and all FI postings is internal postings, Is it true or not still i am suspecting, anyone pls clarify the doubt.
    Thanks

Moderator: This forum is not dedicated for basic questions. Please, read SAP material before posting

    Hi,
All postings which are originated from other than CO module ( i.e from interface, FI etc ), are called External postings in CO.
Whereas internal postings means posting which happen within CO module, example Assessment, Distribution etc within a company code.

How do i run an external monitor with my macbook and change settings so that when i close the lid the signal to the monitor is not lost and i can continue using the mac with a mouse and a wireless keyboard?

No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

  • Two External Displays and Internal Display Over Different Connections

    Hi there.
I'm going to be purchasing a rMBP in the very, very near future. However, I am unclear about how external displays work with this. My current display setup at work is two basic 1080p monitors that can be run over DVI, VGA or HDMI. I'd like to keep using these when I start using the rMBP but also gain the advantage of a third screen by using the internal display at the same time (so much space for activities!).
One of the thunderbolt ports will need to be used for an Ethernet connection (there is no wireless here), so this leaves the setup needing to be one monitor run via Thunderbolt -> DVI and the other monitor run via HDMI.
The internet in general isn't being entirely helpful with this. I'm looking for a clear answer of whether the rMBP will run the internal display and the two external displays using this setup under OS X. Some seem to believe that it won't work using different connection types, for example.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hello dljfield,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you'd like to use multiple external displays with a MacBook Pro with Retina display, then please take a look at the information outlined below. A 15" MacBook Pro mid-2014 can support up to two external displays using different outputs.

My wife and i have an iPhone 5 6.1.2 firmware.. We both are having horrible wifi signals.  We have done everything we can.. What update will fix this? I get full bars on my iPad 2 through my whole house.. Be standing right beside the router with iPhones and it cuts in and out.. Drops from 3 wifi bars to 1

I am having the same problem with brand new Ipad Mini at my house.
It connects to the WiFi fine - but will not pull an IP address in DHCP mode, or if I set all the IP info statically - it still will not get any network access.
This doesn't look like a WiFi issue, as it does connect and is seen by the WiFi Access Point.  All the normal WiFi fix stuff doesn't help.
    - Using a Dlink DAP-2553 which is less than 2 months old.
Other devices connect fine, including Ipad 2.
This same Mini worked fine at another house and also connected to a mobile hotspot fine....so seems to be some weird IP issue with maybe this Access Point or maybe the older Router that I have (older Netgear)?
I am actually a network engineer and still have not been able to find a solution.  Both the Ipad Mini and the Dlink WAP have the latest firmware loaded.
Wondering if anyone has found a solution to this problem.

  • Hierarchies, dependent and internal and external hierarchies .

    Hi Gurus,
Pls let me know about time dependent and internal and external hierarchies .

    Ok to clarify
    Coflaher,
My end goal is to use Jabber for windows as an internal IM client which currently works fine as "saMAccountName"@domain.loc. I would also like to be able to federate to services listed under the Interdomain Federation section of the document you refered to above.
How should my IM address field read? Since you say it needs to be resolvable from external sources. This leads me to believe my IM field should read "firstname.lastname"@domain.ca instead of "saMAccountName"@domain.loc
Yet when add the following to my jabber.config.xml file it seems to loose it's mapping to all the other fields in AD.
This part of the documentation doesn't seem entirely clear. Your assistance is much appreciated.
