We were unable to sign you in...

I just got a new TouchPad and am trying to register it, but it keeps coming up with the message "Unable to log you in. Please try again in a few minutes..." which I have done many times, but still nothing... Logging into my WebOS account from my PC is fine... Other devices using my wireless internet connection at home are fine... It must have at least *sent* data to the server when I tried to register because I got the e-mail saying welcome to WebOS Community, etc. but it still will not let me actually Sign In... So if I can not complete this process, I can't do anything on my TouchPad... What can I do???

You could try a restart to see if that may resolve the issue. Press and hold the power button and the center button simultaneously for up to 30 seconds or until you see the HP logo appear. This will restart the TP and then may be able to continue. Make sure you have a good wi-fi connection also.
If those steps do not resolve the issue, I would suggest you call the HP WEBOS Butler Setup Service for assistance.  We can help you on that line and it is free support for the first 90 days from date of purchase.

  • Palm Profile: unable to sign you in

as you know, the seller whom I'm brougt palm pixi plus from was forgot to activate my phone so I can't acces app catalog, even for free app.
so I tried to reach o2 germany (as in my phone box say) to help me.
the said can't do nothing to help me but they're kind enough to create a palm profile with my email address.
my new palm profile has been confirmed (from the web). so, I meta-doctor-ed the associated firmware for my pixi plus (wr, 1.4.5) and bypass the first-use-app to gain the internet access with wi-fi (avoiding my local simcard before sign in to palm profile).
the problem is as this post subject, pixi keep telling me "..unable to sign you in" eventhough my palm profile has been confirmed via https://ps.palmws.com/...
what should I do then? can you please help me with that, or it's just another "temporary down" in palm profile?
looking forward to your reply. thanks in advance.
    regards.

WebOS Doctor-ing again my phone without the hacks, I'm able to cconnect to my Palm Profile but couldn't get "App Catalog" to work in here, even for free apps. (FYI: this is my first palm phone).
so the only way to install apps is to do it manually, with the tools provided by webos community, such as WebOS Quick Install aka WOSQI.
according to http://twitter.com/webosinternals ( had a conversation how to resolve this "app catalog" issue months ago), the only way to get it works is to activate the phone physically in one of the palm's country (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Spain, Ireland or the UK), with local simcard provided by palm's operator partner simcard in one of those country.
well, it seems that the UK ebay seller, in whom I brought from, forgot to activate it.
correct me if I'm wrong, or am I missing something...
is there any other way to get app catalog working without going to one of the country above, cause my palm pixi plus is just like every other 'dumb-phone' (no offense) without apps (and app catalog as well).
    thanks
    regards.

  • HP webOS unable to sign in.

I purchased my HP Tablet yesterday from best buy. Got home, plugged it up to its charger, and began to set it up. I have yet to be able to make it past the HP webOS Account sign in. I keep recieving a "unable to sign you in. Pleas try again in a few minutes or contact HP." I have tried to login at least 50 times over the past 15hrs. Ive done some reading across the web to see if i came across anything to help me. I even tried to call HP's Butler Service for help but quickly gave up when the lady i spoke to could not figure out for the life of her how to spell my last name. So i am coming to you all. Does anyone know why it wont allow me to sign in. I figured there could of been a site overload since everyone rushed out and bought one for $100, and that the login server shut down from so many people trying to get on.
Allow me to state: In no way shape or form am i criticizing HP for the error with there butler service employee when i made that comment.

You cannot download the upgrade to Snow Leopard.
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
             7. Xserve (Early 2009)
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
Am I eligible for the free upgrade?
See Apple - Free OS X Mountain Lion upgrade Program.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • Unable to Sign In to iTunes from apple tv (1st Gen). GRRRRR!!!!

Two days ago I was searching for movies to rent. So I casually went on to the Apple TV to browse all the HD movies. The #1 movie was Iron Man 2 (I watched the preview), #2 was Get Him to The Greek. I decided to opt for the comedy and rented Get Him to The Greek right from my Apple TV. I watched it and all was right with the world.
The next night I decided that I'd rent Iron Man 2 (wife's out of town). So I go into the Apple TV to get it since I knew that it was the #1 top rental the previous night was Iron Man 2. Much to my surprise, Iron Man 2 was nowhere to be found in the iTunes store on the Apple TV. Not further down the top rentals list. Not in the alphabetical listing of all movies, not even in the search. "Well that's bizarre," I said to myself. "I wonder if I can find it in the regular iTunes store on my Mac Pro?" Well sure enough, iRon Man 2 was there. So I rented it on the Mac Pro. Curiously, it didn't show up on my Apple TV. I waited and waited. So I went back to iTunes and, oh silly me, I have to put it there in the iTunes sync dialog and then sync the Apple TV. I did that, and since it was late, I went to bed.
Today, I finally got the kids to bed and cleaned up and decided to watch my rented Iron Man 2. Fire up the Apple TV, see that Iron Man 2 is right there at the front of the listed movies on my Apple TV. Sweet. Select, select play, settle in with a nice drink and ....
Your Apple TV is not authorized to play this content.
    What the?!?!
Hrm. That's weird. Well let me double check that I can play Toy Story (a movie I had downloaded and watched with my boy a while back). Yup, Toy Story works all right. So I decided to futz around a bit to see if I could figure out *** is wrong. Over to the settings list, hmm, maybe I should try the "Downloads" option? Click. Okay it says "Check for Downloads." Sure why not. Click. Enter your Apple ID. Yeah okay. Now enter your password. Done. And...
    Unable to Sign In.
The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again.
What? Oh silly me, I must have made a mistake and entered the wrong email address or password. I'll just do it again, I'm sure it'll work this time. And...
    Unable to Sign In.
The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again.
Um. Okay, third time's the charm. First let's go into iTunes on my Mac to make sure that I really am entering the right information. Yup, exactly what I thought I entered on the Apple TV. So back to the Apple TV to enter the username (and triple checking it) and the password (carefully inspecting each character as I do it). Still no luck.
Well I guess I'll look up this error online. I found an Apple Support document that indicates there is a problem with aol.com email addresses to log onto iTunes from the Apple TV. That shouldn't be it, I'm using a gmail.com address. Then I found an Apple Discussions link from 2008 where people were flustered by this issue. A few had gotten their Apple TVs to work again by unplugging the Apple TV and deauthorizing and reauthorizing the computer the Apple TV is sync'd to, plugging the apple TV back in and syncing the Apple TV back to the computer.
I gave that the old college try. I came back to try the Apple TV and still got that Iron Man 2 was not authorized on the Apple TV. I thought I'd try Toy Story just to make sure that it still worked. Now that movie said the Apple TV was not authorized to play that movie.
I'm going backwards! Things that were working now aren't and I've spent my entire night trying to figure this crap out. Someone please help me make this "just work" so I don't have to go and smash it to pieces with a baseball bat. My stats as of right now:
    1) I can't log into my iTunes account from anywhere it asks for it on the Apple TV. I've tried settings>downloads, settings>general>itunes store, settings>general>network>test network.
    2) I can't log into my YouTube account. I've triple checked that my information is correct.
    3) I can't play any movies purchased through iTunes even if they were purchased from my Apple TV.
    4) I CAN play music and a music video that I purchased on my Apple TV and music I purchased from my Mac.
    5) I can play a TV season that I purchased some time ago on the Apple TV.
    6) I can log into my account in iTunes from both of my Macs.
Oh also to get the easy questions out of the way: 1) Yes I'm 100% certain that I entered my username and password correctly. 2) I am completely up to date with my iTunes software on the Mac and my Apple TV software (as far as I can tell).
I'm trying to stay calm and keep things light. But holy crap this is frustrating. I spent good money on the movies that I can't watch. I wasted hours and hours of my time troubleshooting and researching only to find myself going backwards and losing the ability to play things that I once had no problems playing. This just isn't working and I wasted my whole night on it. Someone please help!

I cannot help you other than to say I have exactly the same problem and have been trying to resolve it for over an hour now with no luck.
Besides unplugging and replugging in my ATV I have also tried:
    - resetting my password to the same thing
    - resetting my password to something else
    - creating a new Apple ID and trying to use it
    None of this works.
At this point I am guessing that Apple's servers are hosed and the error message is just incorrect. Hopefully they will fix the problem at their end over the weekend.
And yes. Holy crap this is frustrating is putting it mildly.
It amazes me that just a few hours ago I was playing with FaceTime and thinking very positively of Apple, but now I'm just ****** at what is clearly a screw up on their part.

  • Unable to Sign In into presentation services and online RPD obiee11.1.1.3.0

    Hi,
I am using OBIEE11g (11.1.1.3.0) on Windows 64bit server, suddenly i have problem i could not able to login my Dashboard and RPD (online mode) [i.e: i am able to login offline mode in RPD] but Weblogic console and EM and OPMN all services are up .
Please check the below error:in RPD

    while testing DSN also error
    http://imageshare.web.id/images/zgq47suhrjabe3ye2ck.jpg
Last few months ago i have faced the same issue ..then i resolved below method
Unable to Sign In into presentation services and RPD obiee 11
Issue :I had a trouble to login into RPD (online mode) the Presentation services lately.
It was working fine before and after changed console user sequrity things changed and was having issues to login lately after that.
It always gives me invalid username/Password was entered message when I tried to login no matter what ever username I tried.
I was able to login into Enterprise manger and Weblogic Admin console successfully with out any issues. All the processes are up and running with out any issues.
Tried rebooting successfully and still it wont let me login into Answers. So I tried if i could login into Admin tool and it wont let me login there as well.
So I created new Admin user in the Weblogin console and tried to login using the new user and still no luck. The new admin will let me login into the EM and WLC but not into Answers and rpd.
I tried deleting old references of the user directories in the catalog and still no luck.
It has something to do with the credential store. What ever user name I created its not mapping it to the Answers/rpd inspite of both the services are running
    Solution:
    ======
    1. Please follow instructions given in
How to fix “Unable to Sign in. An error occured during Authentication" error when a user logs in OBIEE 11g (Doc ID 1302924.1) step by step, for those steps you have done, please double check and make sure what you've done are correct.
    2. You are still not able to logon because you have missed a few steps as the following:
    8. Edit the NQSConfig.INI file to reset the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS = YES to NO and restart the Oracle BI Servers.
    9. Remove, set to none, or comment out the line (see UpgradeAndExit in the following example) added to the instanceconfig.xml file (that instructs Oracle BI Presentation Server to refresh GUIDs on restart).
    10. <ps:Catalog xmlns:ps="oracle.bi.presentation.services/config/v1.1">
    11. <ps:UpgradeAndExit>false</ps:UpgradeAndExit>
    12. <ps:UpdateAccountGUIDs>none</ps:UpdateAccountGUIDs>
    13. Restart the Presentation Server for the instanceconfig.xml file that was updated.
    14. Make sure Oracle WebLogic Server and the system components are also running, if they are not running, restart them.
    b) Relogin as the problematic user to verify if you still see the “Unable to Sign In” error
Step 2 : Delete user from rpd if present
a)Launch admin tool and open rpd in OFFLINE Mode
b)Click Manage > Identity > Users tab to verify if you see this user present
Note : Normally you will only see list of users when you open rpd in ONLINE mode. Unless the users were created manually in rpd, no users should be visible in OFFLINE mode
c)If the user is present, delete this user entry from rpd
d)save rpd and deploy this changed rpd using EM
    e)restart OBI Server component
f)relogin as the problematic user to see if you still see “Unable to Sign In” error
Step 3 : Delete the cacheduserinfo file from webcatalog
If Step1 and Step2 does not work, then do the following
Note : In the example below, catalog name is SampleApp and the user who gets “invalid Login” error is Administrator user.
a)Take a backup of your webcatalog
    b)Navigate to C:\OBIEE11G\instances\instance2\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\SampleApp\root\users\Administrator\_prefs
c)Delete the files name cacheduserinfo and cacheduserinfo.atr
d)Launch OBIEE 11.1.1.3 and test by logging in as the specific user.
the best one is 3rd one.
but the above all methods also not working
Kindly check and help me on that ...
    Thanks
    deva

  • Error: "Sorry, we are unable to log you in".

In the Adobe Exchange Panel of Photoshop Cs6 (MAC), whenever i try to download a extansion, or when i click in "my stuf", it says "Sorry, we are unable to log you in", and below there's a button "Sing in". Nothing happens when i click in this button.
    Please, help me!

Do you have a full verison of Photoshop or are you using a trial version? When you installed Photoshop, you should have been asked for a signin using your adobeID. Di this happen and were you able to sign in sucessfully.
Adobe Exchange using Adobe's Indentity Management System and tries to log you in using the same credentials as what you used to login to you Photoshop. That calls seems to be failing. Ideally when you click sign in, the Adobe Application Manager sign in screen should appear prompting you to sign in.
Are there any other setting on your system that could be conflicting? If you were part of any prerelease program and created an AdobeID using that Identity Management system, there might be a conflict.
Let us know a bit more of your setup and we can try to help you out here.
    Thanks

  • I am unable to sign infor adobe revel, any help pse, Ben

I am unable to sign in for Adobe Revel on elements 12 can any one Pse Ben

    Hi,
    The App name is Messages
iMessages is one form of the messaging it can do.
When you run Messages for the First time it asks for an Apple ID to "register " with the iMessages Server.
If you updated from Lion it should also list all your "iChat Accounts" (AIM, Jabber, Google @Mac.com and so on)
If you have entered your Google Talk ID into Messages as a Fresh accounts it needs to follow the following.
At Google the Talk option needs to enabled in your Account settings.
On the Mac the name should be exactly as it appears on the GoogleMail Web mail page.
That is to say you may have a names that is [email protected] or one that ends @googlemail.com
Google's Mail Server seems to allow either and even deliver to the "other' as it were.
The GoogleTalk server is more fussy about such things.
The password needs to be your Google Password.

  • IMessaging offline - unable to sign in

For several days now, I have been unable to sign in to iMessaging on my MacBook Pro. I did not sign out, the program just decided that I was offline as some point while my laptop was "sleeping". *iMessaging is working fine on my iPhone and iPad. When I try to sign in to the service, I get a brief window showing the configured settings (my phone number and email address for sending) but then I get an error that says: Could not sign in to iMessage. The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."
I can't find recent threads that suggest anything other than deleting passwords due to a corruption in the keychain. I have done that, but still no luck. I have tried signing in with a different Apple ID and that delivers the same result.
How can iMessaging just go offline by itself and then continually fail when signing in? I've checked the server status and everythign is offline. I see that others have had this exact same problem in the past, but nobody else seems to be currently posting about this as an active and ongoing problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or obviously invalid, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 4
Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 5
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 6
    Select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 7
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 8
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 9
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 10
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 11
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

  • Unable to sign in to Airport Extreme network

I just got an Airport Extreme and managed to configure it so I can use my Macbook Pro wirelessly. But my husband is unable to sign onto the network with both his ipad and his Macbook.

So we spent an hour on the phone with Apple, then another hour with Verizon. Verizon said they had sent us the wrong modem (a few days ago they sent a new modem) and they would send us a new one. By the time we were done with both, my computer no longer had access. Not being able to imagine life without the internet for three days (so sad), I redid all the settings on my computer to what worked before and got back on the internet. Then my husband decided on a whim to try to sign in and it worked this time on the phone, ipad, and macbook.
I didn't mention the new modem before because we had gotten online with it and the old Linksys router, but we wanted to upgrade our 9-year-old router now that we had a new modem.
What's odd is that Verizon says we have PPoE (?) but what works is when I set the settings to DHCP. I don't really understand any of it, I just kept trying.
Thank you for the suggestions. This isn't over yet as our access is slower than it ought to be. And we may be starting all over when that new modem comes.

  • Netflix login error "Unable to sign in. Log in in progress (140)."

I've gotten the same error message when I try to sign in to Netflix through Apple TV:
"Unable to sign in. Log in in progress (140)."
I was previously able to sign in and view content on Netflix through my Apple TV. And I can still do so through the Netflix website and through my Xbox. It doesn't appear to be an account problem.
Do I need to reset something?
    Anyone had similar problems?

Just a couple notes for anyone coming onto this thread -- in general this worked for me, but:
    * My time zone is set to "Cupertino" - always has been, and I didn't see any reason to change it, and the reset still worked.  So I think this was a red herring to make you think you were doing something substantive besides a simple reset.
    * I held down "down" and "menu" for about 15 seconds and nothing happened, but as soon as I let up the screen went black, then the Apple logo appeared.  So the Apple logo may not automatically appear *while* you're holding down the buttons.

    Hi,
if your using oracle db please make sure your db settings and tnsnames.oRA settings
also try you please try below troubleshooting steps:
    1) please check latest error message and find the root cause,
    presentation catalog log path:
    obiee installed Drive:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\sawlog0.txt file
    also check it nqserver.log file
oracle bi server log path ref:
    obiee installed Drive:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\nqserver.log
2)can you try to login RPD,EM and console by using your weblogic a/c then try to login with some other user.
if its not working then try to delete that users from catlog and check it Check OPMN services are running state.
    e.x:
