Web Application getting the Windows NT User ID

Is there a way within the web Oracle application to get the Windows NT User ID of the client running the application?
Thanks in advance.

For 6i, there is a bean example that works
out of the box for that purpose.
The only thing you have to keep in mind is
that using Jinitiator, you have to create
an identity and populate it with the provided
certificate ON EVERY CLIENT MACHINE.
Using IE5 native VM, there is no need for that, provided that you can live with granting some privileges to unsigned java code. (Signing is kinda tricky, I failed anyway...)
If you are running 6.0, I posted an example
(for the client hostname) that works under 6.0 a couple weeks back ("Getting Client Info"), an it can easily be modified to return the NT userid.

  • There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of target web application and the source web application after migrating to claims

    I've had my farm upgraded from SP2010 to SP2013 for over 6 months now and all is well, however, I was refreshing my staging environment from production and I noticed that one of the databases still shows these errors when I run test-spcontentdatabase:
    Category             : Configuration
    Error             : False
    UpgradeBlocking : False
    Message           : The [SharePoint Web App] web application is configured with claims authentication mode however the content database you are trying to attach is intended to be used against
    a windows classic authentication mode.
    Remedy              : There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of target web application and the source web application. Ensure that the authentication mode setting in upgraded web application is the
    same as what you had in previous SharePoint 2010 web application. Refer to the link "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=236865" for more information.
    This doesn't make sense considering I converted the production web application to claims during the upgrade and then verified all sites were working with claims logins. I also verified that existing AD user identities were converted to claims by checking out
    the database tables. Yet test-spcontentdatabase still thinks there is a mismatch here.
    My farm is SP1 and no further CUs. The point of this particular refresh is so I can update to the November CUs in my test farm. Anyone else see this? Seems like it's a bug/safe to ignore because my stuff is working.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

  • Is it possible to get the active directory user name of the person

    Is it possible to get the active directory user name of the person who is logged onto a windows computer, when they are using your coldfusion site, the same way asp pages can do that?

    SECOND TRY TO POST THIS REPLY
    You have to turn on "Windows Integrated Security" and turn off anonymous login in the IIS web server, once that condition is met the cgi.AUTH_USER variable will be popluated with the domain/username of the user logged into the cient computer.
    If the user is using a windows browser on a windows client computer this will be done silently in the background.  Otherwise they will normally be presented with a login dialog box by the browser.

  • Integrating a Java web application into the SAP NetWeaver Portal

    Hello experts,
    We have a requirement to integrate a Java based web application into the SAP NetWeaver Portal using iView/iFrame technology. The Java based web application is completely independent from the SAP environment but should be displayed as part of the SAP Portal environment. The other requirement is the main navigation menu for the Java based web application should be configured and provided in the SAP Portal.
    Any pointers on how exactly this can be done would be of great help.
    Also how can the SSO (Single-Sign-On) to the Java application be implemented so that the user can logon to the java application through the portal without providing the user credentials again.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I think you can use URL iviews to integrate your java web application with EP. you have the option of doing SSO with the application as well.

  • How we can get the current running user information in BusinessOne

    Hi experts,
    How we can get the current running user information in BusinessOne Application,
    Based on the user details i want to assign some functionality,
    Regards,
    Saidarao yakkala

    Hi,
    As per me you can't get detail by server side.
    If you want to know who are connected then you can use sp_who2 procedure in SQL query.
    That will display who are login.
    For more detail you have to check LOG file on client side in SAP B1 > Log folder.
    Thanks

    do everything and it is still poping up every time i turn my desktop on what do i do?

    Hi,
    The suggestion provided by Maffiow is worthy to try. Msconfig can tell you some on things loaded on startup. Do any of the items listed refer to that file?
    In addition, it states that your windows 7 is missing some system files. And definitely it would be some important to file to your windows. You better check it with performing a Clean Boot.

    The path which you have shown here is a path for temporary file. I think there will be something wrong with your system temp folder. For this Clear the redundant files in temporary folder. You can do this by performing the following steps.
    a. Restart the computer to Safe Mode.
    b. Click Start and click Control Panel.
    c. Click Classic View and choose Folder Options.
    d. Click View tab, choose Show hidden files and folders box, click Apply and click OK.
    e. Click Start -> Computer.
    f. Go to C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Temp folder.
    g. Select all files in the Temp folder and delete them. Click Yes when prompted.
    h. Restart the computer to Normal Mode for a test.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi.
    Are you try to get and present current user name in workbook or WAD ?
    You may use user exit variable based on sy-uname.
    If you run WAD you may use built webitem info_field and show current user name.

  • [JNI] get the window ID

    Hi,
    I'd like to get the window ID of a frame. I'm runing java on Linux.
    I've seen on a web site that I can get it from the JAWT_X11DrawingSurfaceInfo.
    So I did this to get the JAWT_X11DrawingSurfaceInfo :
    JNIEXPORT jlong JNICALL Java_MyFrame_getWindowID(JNIEnv *env, jclass cls, jobject comp) {
      JAWT awt;
      JAWT_DrawingSurface *ds;
      JAWT_DrawingSurfaceInfo *dsi;
      JAWT_X11DrawingSurfaceInfo *dsi_X11;
      jint lock;
      jlong windowID;
      jboolean result;
      /* get the awt */
      awt.version = JAWT_VERSION_1_3;
      result = JAWT_GetAWT(env, &awt);
      assert(result != JNI_FALSE);
      /* get the drawing surface */
      ds = awt.GetDrawingSurface(env, comp);
      assert(ds != NULL);
      /* lock the drawing surface */
      lock = ds->Lock(ds);
      assert((lock & JAWT_LOCK_ERROR) == 0);
      /* get the drawing surface info */
      dsi = ds->GetDrawingSurfaceInfo(ds);
      /* get the X11 drawing surface info */
      dsi_X11 = (JAWT_X11DrawingSurfaceInfo*)dsi->platformInfo;
      windowID = (jlong)dsi_X11->visualID;
      /* resource cleanup */
      ds->FreeDrawingSurfaceInfo(dsi);
      ds->Unlock(ds);
      awt.FreeDrawingSurface(ds);
      return windowID;
    }My pb is that I can't lock my frame. It always crash here : assert((lock & JAWT_LOCK_ERROR) == 0);
    I'm completly lost at the moment, any help will be welcome.
    Thank you for your answers.

    How do i get the Window Id / handle to java frame.You can't get it from within Java, that much I know, and in fact since it is an OS construct it is meaningless in java. If you are working with MS Windows, I'm guessing that your best bet is to play with some of the functions in the User32 library, such as enumerateWindows and such, and by doing this you'll find out how to get a handle on the JFrame. If it's unix/linux (and given your name, that is a reasonable assumption) then I have no idea.
    If I am giving any actionlistener to my frame that has to be reflected in C windowNo idea what you mean here.
    Anybody can send me the full source code too.Doesn't this kind of go against the philosophy of these forums?
    Also, consider posting this sort of question in the JNI forum where you will have a much better chance of getting a JNI guru who actually knows what he's talking about instead of, well, me.

    I am trying to install windows 7 on my macbook pro 13", when i run bootcamp it tells me that there is not a windows support software available for my computer. Where can i get the windows support software for my macbook?

    Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.
    http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
    Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
    It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
    Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.
    http://refit.sourceforge.net/
    This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
    I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
    There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.
