Web Browser program

Hi guys(girls),
I am trying to make a program that is a basic web browser what i need to know is what classes i need to use to load a web site up.
For example i want to type a url in a text field then hit a button then it is loaded on to the frame
note i want this in a application not a applet i have done a little looking on the sun site but couldnt find any thing that was useful

Here are a few classes to start with:
java.net.URL
java.net.HttpURLConnection
javax.swing.JTextPane
You could also look for Sun's HotJava browser, maybe it's open source already ...

  • E-mail and Web Browser Programs

After a year of using my Blackberry Curve 8330 on the Sprint network, I think that I have uncovered most of the flaws in this machine and its software. With another year to go on my contract, I'm looking for some software advice/alternatives to help make the next year more tolerable. I find the e-mail and browser programs that come standard on this dumbphone to be just a step or two below dreadful. I'm very disappointed that Blackberry does not include better software with their phones!
When I go to a website or get an e-mail with photos either in it or attached to it, all I get are a bunch of empty boxes with some gibberish text inside them. I'd like to find a browser that will show websites the same way that they are displayed on my laptop and an e-mail program that will automatically display any .jpg or .pdf files that are in or attached to my e-mails. Can anyone suggest programs that will do these very basic things? Free or reasonably-priced programs would be great.
    Thanks, jgreyone

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • 6120 classic unable to open web browser

I am having a problem with using my 6120 to browse the internet. I have been browsing the web on the phone and also used the phone as a modem without any problems thus far - however I was browsing on the phone last night and the phone kept running out of memory, with it freezing and me having to reset it several times.
After about the 3rd time of having to reset it, I was unable to open the web browsing program or anything associated with it i.e. Download, etc. When I try to open the web browser it flashes on the screen for a fraction of a second and then exits immediately.
I have tried formatting my memory card and resetting to factory settings - nothing has worked so far. Everything else on the phone is working fine. Is there some other kind of reset I can do? Or does anyone know of a way to fix this problem?

There are three things to reset
    1) Restore factory settings
    Go to
Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > General > Factory Settings
If prompted for security code, enter 12345 (default code unless changed)
    2) Format Memory Card
    Go to
Menu > Settings > Data Manager > Memory
Select options, and then select Format Memory Card
    3) Format Phone Memory
    While in standby mode, type
    *#7370#
If prompted for security code, enter 12345 (default code unless changed)
WARNING: Don't forget to make backup of all of your phone contents, as the above steps might cause in loss of user data.

I downloaded an update for my Safari web browser to "snow leopard". When I click on the .dmg file, a window opens up with a .pkg file but when I click on the .pkg file I get a prompt saying that it doesn't know what program to open it with.

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

  • How to override runtime parameters of Java programs in web browser windows?

    Hi Oracle forumers,
There's a Java based program that is accessed through a web browser. The program somehow sets its own runtime parameters. However, those parameters don't always work well for running the program on every computer. Is there a way to override the runtime parameters that the program would normally set with my own parameters? I was expecting the Java Control Panel applet to be the place to set my own runtime parameters but the last time I checked that didn't work with this program.

    Sangeetha Kalyani,
Use SWF de-compiler.. and get the source of your SWF.. i think this will simplyfy your JOB...!
    Thanks,

  • RRI calling Web Browser instead ABAP program

    Hi All,
I have created a RRI to call an ABAP program. However, when I try to call the ABAP program (via GOTO) it opens a web browser.
If I execute the same query via RSRT, and call the ABAP program it works fine.
I have also create another RRI to call another query from within BEx and it works fine.
It only fails when calling ABAP program from BEx.
I have read on to apply SAP NOTE 972514 - Set the ms/redirect_version parameter to value 1 and restart your ABAP Web Application.
    My ms/redirect is already = 1
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Flavio

I do have authorization. There is no error. It just open a internet explore (URL) instead of executing the ABAP program.
Again, if I run the query via RSRT, it works just fine.
    Any ideas?
    cheers,
    Flavio

  • Can programs run from java that is on web browser

i have written a program and used autorun to run when a cd is put on but not every body will have java on their computer a firend told me that most people will have java on the web browser that will be able to run the cd is this true or will i have to give download instructions to download jav first. this is obviously not ideal as i want people to be able to run the program by putting the cd in and nothing else.

    1. You can create a Java applet, which is a Java program that runs
from a web page. It will need to be a signed applet. Your autorun will start the browser with the web page carrying the Java applet.
I don't think this is optimal.
    2. Search for "embed JRE", which describes how you can supply your
private JRE with your program. It does not install the JRE, nor does it
care if one is already installed. I did this many times, there is no problem
at all, but here I have no idea whatsoever what happens if your JRE originates from write protected media. I guess it should work. Experiment or wait for others to see what they think.

  • WHAT THE MEANING OF THIS LINE Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro

Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro pls tell me whats the meaning of above line

You might try spoofing '''IE7''' User Agent strings to make a wepage or web-based application "think" you're running IE7.

  • I've gotten the message Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro! I'm using Windows 9

I attempted to open up a program, it seemed to open fine until I tried to click on the tabs to view specific information & that is when I received the message that my browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro. I checked the website for Web Dynpro but their downloads only cover Windows 8.

There is no Windows 9 as Windows 8 is still in Beta testing and not out until 2012.
There is Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) browser and you appear to be using Windows 7.
Perhaps the 8 is for the IE8 browser.
Perhaps the unnamed download you are referring to from Web Dynpro is only for IE.

  • What to when my browser/program is not supported by Web dynpro

when i tried to open a link in the website i am using I get
this message : your browser/program is not supported by
Web dynpro - this happened after I updated firefox today -
    what to do ???

Did this start when you installed Firefox 4?? Many web applications use browser version numbers for compatibility checks. Even if they actually would run just fine in a newer version. I suggest checking with your internal IT on whether this is a known issue for that application.
If the site previously worked with Firefox 4, maybe they changed something, or maybe you installed a new add-on that is causing a conflict?

    Hello
Go to http://service.sap.com/pam and click on "SAP NetWeaver 7.0". There is a powerpoint with all supported versions.
Your system should be on SPS20 to use IE8.
