Web "color picker"

Question

I am working on an application in VS2005, using a VB type project.  I have been playing around a little bit with the Color Dialog control but it doesn't quite do what I need.
I want to allow the users the ability to change some of the colors used for various things, and I would like to restrict the choices to those available within the "WebPalette" side of things.  But I need to restrict it further because I don't want to allow for the selection of "light" colors because the areas that they can work with all have a white background.  Therefore choosing something like "white" for the text color would be disasterous and comical at the same time.
I would like to create a "list"... similar to that one used to display the web palette, but I am not sure what the best type of control to use for that function.  If I have to manually create a list of the specific "colors" that I want to use, I can do that... I just don't know how to display a little "color box" that showes what the color looks like, as it does when the web palette's list of selections is shown.
I hope I have placed this in the right forum...  I searched for answers on this and didn't find anything that would point me in the right direction.  If this isn't the right place, maybe one of the forum moderators can shuffle it to where it should be.  Thanks kindly in advance for your assistance. :)

Hi @nobugz, I like your ex. and I want to adapt to a ImageList, I have 4-5 icons and in a Form, I want to put a comboBox with images.
Can you give me some direction ?
