  • OEM web console is not working from client side

    Hi All,
I have 2 node RAC environment on windows 2003 server with 11g r1. My problem is on node a "oracle enterprise manager" "https://server-a:1158/em" is not working (node A). Is there any thing that I can do to solve this problem ?
On node B the url "https://server-b:1158/em" is working.
    Any help would be appreciate.
    Regards,
    Edited by: 53637 on Feb 22, 2011 7:43 PM

It works as expected, dbconsole runs on only ONE node in the cluster, all agents from this and the other nodes report to this console, statement from documentation:
In 10.1.x.x, when a DB Control was deployed on a RAC cluster with n nodes, a dbconsole was started on each node of the cluster. Each agent on each node reported to each dbconsole management service on the same node.
Beginning 10.2.x.x, to improve performance and reduce the workload on the RAC database/instances,when a DB Control is first deployed on a RAC cluster with n nodes, a dbconsole is started only on the node from which the DB Control is deployed. Each agent on each node reports to that same unique dbconsole management service.
It is however possible to later reconfigure the DB Control to have more than one dbconsole started and to have agents reporting to several dbconsole.

  • Puppet Enterprise Web Console Credentials - Not working

    Hi,
I have successfully created a new virtual machine and add the endpoint ports as suggested by the Puppet Lab instruction.
After provisioning, I am able to connect browser based puppet enterprise URL.
But even after following the given below steps using Putty (SSH) also my provided credentials are not working in the Puppet Enterprise browser login.(https://name.cloudapp.net)
    Username:
    sudo grep ‘auth_user_email’ /etc/puppetlabs/installer/answers.install
    q_puppet_enterpriseconsole_auth_user_email=[email protected]
    Password:
    sudo grep ‘auth_password’ /etc/puppetlabs/installer/database_info.install
    q_puppet_enterpriseconsole_auth_password=mypassword
    Cheers, Senthilraj

    Hi,
Did you mean that you could not SSH to the VM using Putty?
Based on my experience, you just need to check the endpoint public port for SSH, and then using "xxx.cloudapp.net" with that public port to connect to the VM. Then, you need to provide the user name and password. The username and password are
    defined when creating the VM.
Did you upload an X509 certificate when creating the VM? If yes, you refer to the article below for reference:

  • Steps to extend the schema if I have no access to the web console

    Hello,
I am usin DS 6.2. The web console is not applicable in my case. So I must extend the schema manually.
I want to add an attribute type and an objectclass. I do have a test server and I did
    ldapsearch -L -b "cn=schema" objectclass='*'
and then took what I need:
    dn: cn=schema
    changetype: add
    attributeTypes: ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.42.2.27.9.1.333 NAME 'orclnetdescstring' SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.40 X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
objectClasses: ( orclservice-oid NAME 'orclservice' SUP top STRUCTURAL MUST cn MAY orclnetdescstring X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
    When I do:
    ldapadd -c -h hostname -p 389 -D "cn=Directory manager" -w password -f myldif
    adding new entry cn=schema
    ldap_add: Object class violation
I tried to add these lines
    attributeTypes: ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.42.2.27.9.1.333 NAME 'orclnetdescstring' SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.40 X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
objectClasses: ( orclservice-oid NAME 'orclservice' SUP top STRUCTURAL MUST cn MAY orclnetdescstring X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
to 99users.ldif and restarted the server. No progress.
    any idea please?

You can either use 2 "changetype:modify" operations (not changetype:add since you're trying to modify an existing entry), or you can stop you DS, then edit the 99user.ldif by hand and start it again .

  • How do I get the Web Console on top, in FireFox 21 Mac?

In Firefox 21, the Web Developer Web Console seems to be fixed to the bottom with no option to change it. In previous version of FF, there was an option to put it on the top of the window. The bottom is a bad place for the Web Console, especially for Mac users. For one, the status line is right above the command prompt when something is loading or I'm moused-over a link, so I can't type in the prompt. Also annoying as a Mac user, when I bring the mouse too close to the bottom of the window, to type in the console prompt, my dock pops up. Whenever I want to use the console prompt, I have to bring the window up an inch to keep my Mac OS dock from popping up.

I prefer relative inside positioning to a separate window getting in the way. You must assume that I already know what the Web Developer console is to basic extent; it's not a tip to point out an elaborate and separate option that is already known to all who are familiar with the console. Perhaps I didn't explain my problem correctly. I think I meant Web Developer Web Console "above" not "top", but yes "top" to CSS definition of top, including whatever it is called in GUI terms "above", but not like window above or top in layers.

  • Sun Java Web Console certificate based authentication ?

I'd like the Web Console to authenticate users thanks to their (x509) certificate. The certificate would be stored on the client side,
    in the browser's certificate store.
I read that the console could use PAM, but the only PAM pkcs#11 module I found requires a smart card reader on the console host,
while I'd like to be able to use the user's certificate in the browser, thus possibly on a remote host.
    Any idea ?

    Make sure JAVA_HOME is set (+echo $JAVA_HOME+)
BTW, Sun Java Web Console is not the same thing as Sun Management Center

  • EM web console not working

    Hi,
I installed OEM 10g successfully on a wintel box and used it for 2 weeks. It worked perfectly for me. During this time I hadnt restarted the box.
2 days back, the IT guy changed the netbios name of the machine and restarted it. Now i cannot load the OEM web console. I tried the url with the new machine name as well but it doesnt work. I guess I need to tell the EM that the netbios name has changed? But I dont know how that can be done.
I tried starting the Oracle service from the services page but that doesnt start as well. I changed the machine name for the listeners and I can connect to the database from a remote machine. Just this web console thing is not working.
    any thoughts ?
    many thanks

Drop and Recreate the dbconsole. That should resolve it

  • Default Web Application is not visible in Weblogic Console

We are using Weblogic 5.1.0 SP7
We moved our Application from the Implicitly Defined Default Web
Application which is configurated by the
weblogic properties to a Web Application. Because we don't want to
change any URL in our Application, we
decided to deploy it as Explicitly Defined Default Web Application.
By this we recordniced that the weblogic.httpd.defaultWebApp property
worked not that way descibed in the
Weblogic Documentation. You have to write the path to the WebApp not the
              name!
So we have the following Entry in the weblogic.properties:
              weblogic.httpd.defaultWebApp=i:/if_home2/web
This works fine. The Server starts and serves the WebApp the way we
expected. But wenn we start the Weblogic
Console the WebApp ist not visible in the "myserver/HTTP/Servlet web
applications" folder. This one is empty
now! Previously the "General" Entry for the Implicitly Defined Default
Web Application was shown here, which
showed our Servlets and JSP's and their hit count and parameters.
So there is no chance to monitor the Servlets and JSP's of the default
              Web Application.
I tried to deploy our WebApp a secound time with
              weblogic.httpd.webApp.OurApp=i:/if_home2/web
but this create a second independent WebApp. OurApp is shown in the
Weblogic Console but it does not monitor
the hits to the default WebApp. So this is not a solution!
Any idea to make the default Web Application visible in the Weblogic
              Console?

in my development environment i checked in site collection feature, it isn't available in site collection feature but still i am getting those web parts in web part gallery while adding it on page.
Also, in Production environment, feature is available in /templates/features folder after deployment, but not available in web part gallery while adding it on page.
I tried with uploading .webpart file which is available in /templates/features production environment as i mentioned, is running for one web part. Not for second web part and giving me security error.
As, uploading .webpart file is not feasible solution, please tell me how could i do that with .wsp file?
please tell me what could be another workaround.

    Hi All,
BPEL Processes are not showing in BPEL Console after OPMN restart. It was showing earlier before restart.
Can some one help on this?
    Thanks

    Vikky,
    Are you using 10g?
If BPELConsole is up but you don't see any process, you can go to the log files and see what is the problem.
It might relates to permissions, or DB issues etc....

  • Why can't the Web console in FF9.01 not see extensions I've added to the Array class (object)?

I've added a number of new methods to the Array object in Javascript. My scripts see them fine, but the Web console reports them as 'undefined'. Apparently the console cannot see my changes. Why is that?

Not the same. It should be like the orange indicator for an imported clip in the camera import window. It's really quite sophisticated in iMovie. When you switch projects the orange line changes to reflect what's in the open project so a clip might have the orange indicator when one project is open in the timeline, and not when another project is open. It's a really useful tool, because it even shows what parts of a clip have been used in the open project.

  • SCOM 2012 SP1 Web Console not filtering "Items by Text Search"

I have the weirdest issue with not one, but two installations of SCOM 2012 (SP1) specific to the Web-based Console.  I have to think that it's something that I've messed up since each installation (separate domains, separate environments) is exhibiting
the exact same behavior and that I cannot find a single mention by anyone else experiencing this problem anywhere on the 'net.
The problem I'm encountering is that when I try to filter the list of objects using the "Look for: Items by text Search" option, the list doesn't filter! It's just the *weirdest* thing!
For example, I go into "Microsoft Windows Server; Performance" and select "Disk Capacity".  The view loads just fine with two panes up top, and the object list down below.  I select a pane to display the list of objects which
gives me all the servers discovered/managed by SCOM.  I changed the "Look for:" drop-down from "All Items" to "Items by Text Search" which makes the text field (to the right) active.  I enter my text string and........
nothing happens.  When I hit "Enter" the pane simply refreshes.  The "Reset" button doesn't become active further reinforcing the fact that something just ain't right.
I have a installation of SCOM 2007 R2 and this feature works flawlessly.
Anyone have any idea as to what I may have missed or what I might do to resolve this issue?  Again, I've found absolutely nothing on the Internet specific to this issue (unless my search criteria is woefully flawed) which suggests that I've messed something
    up.
Thank you in advance for your time!
    -Todd
PS - this feature works just fine in the installed/thick client/console.

Unfortunately, I never did receive an answer to this issue/post, and I never found a solution with this version of SCOM.
I did, however, just test this functionality on the SCOM 2012 R2 installation and discovered that the "Items by text search" filter in the web console *does* work as one would expect.  So, if you're able, upgrade to SCOM 2012 R2 and you should
be much happier with the result.  (I think I'm running Cumulative Update #2, if that helps.)
    Hope this helps!

  • SCOM web console not working

I have a brand new SCOM installation where SCOM has a RMS and a dedicated DB with DW installed. Everything except web console is working just fine. When I try to navigate to the web console address throught inetmgr I am able to get up the popup window for
username and password and am able to login. But if i try the URL locally on the RMS or from a remote system I am still presented with the login window, but after the credentials have been supplied, I am redirected to page not found. I am using Windows integrated
security, and just for the sake of it I have tried form based and basic authentication. I have also added all the local addresses to trusted sites but still no luck so far.
So to sum opp the problem, Web console not available from URL and FQDN but is available through IIS. Dont really know what the problem is, as there is not being registered anything neither in
Opsmgr log, application log or system log. I cant seem to find anything usefull in IIS log files either. All the servers in the solution are running 2008 R2 and the domain functional level is 2008.
Hope that some one can point me into the right direction.
    Best regards
    Sean.

    Hi,
I would like to verify what exact error message is recevied when trying to open web console. which authentication was used when installing web console?
To troubleshooting this kind of issue, please refer to the following article:

Thanks for the reply Vivian, I have actually seen this blog and none of the errors described here are the same as I am getting. I can try to describe the situation a bit better:
When http://Localhost:51908/default.aspx is used the web console comes up. No login is required. Everything seems to be OK.
When http://hostname:51908/default.aspx is used:I get the error: Internet Explorer cannot display the web page.
When http://hostname.domainname.local:51908/default.aspx is used: I get the error: Internet Explorer cannot display the web page.
During the initial install and following installs Windows authentication was used as the Web console was been installed on the RMS. I have now installed the IIS mgmt pack which is showing IIS as healthy both on the RMS and on the MS. I have also tried to add
the webconsole on the MS and used form based authentication. But it is also showing the same exact behaviour with the web console as that of RMS. (Had also enabled for delegation as Pete has mentioned)
I have checked the SPN and seems like they also are registered correclty. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
    Sean

I got this message after enable error detail report after run report from Web.
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

    Hi,
    >>I cannot run report from Favorite Report from Web Console using other non-domain computer. I got the error "500 internal server error" after run the report.
Do you mean that when you run report from Web console using domain joined computer everything works fine?
If so, then the issue seems like IIS authentication related issue, we may need check below settings:
Check the binding order in IIS where the web console is installed and make sure http is on top.
Check the advanced settings on Internet Explorer. Look for the Windows integrated authentication setting and compare this setting with the management server.
and I would like to suggest you go through the below threads for more details:
