Web event capture and web analytic

hi all,
for web analytic, we can enable the web event captured thru XCM setting.
However, is it necessary to write any modification of jsp, or event class if we are using the standard functionality only?
afterall, does shop ID is captured in every event too in standard too?

What software is best for a live event capture and edition ? (for an instant public feedback) a one with the ability to be controlled by a 2-octave midi keyboard.
Can FCP do that ? even partly ?

FCP is a professional non-linear editing application ... not a live event playback device.
If you need a very fast turnaround editing facility you can look at FCP coupled with something like Picture Ready from Gallery, you can download a demo to test
if you're looking at doing a 2 camera live cut/switch then you can consider a dual decklink I/O solution and On-Air 2.0

Event capturing and 'render' loops

Right now I'm working on a turn-based strategy game. No problem. After a bit of tweaking I have it figured out to where the whole game is event driven. Any UI interaction triggers a screen re-render. here's the problem . . .
Eventually, I'd like to make a real time strategy game. At that point, I have to start a render loop going. I've subclassed java.awt.Frame to make my own frame which will start this render loop going. So . . . in my main frame I have just a simple loop like this . . . (pardon incorrect syntax . . . this is off the top of my head)

How the bleedin' heck do I capture input events? Where can I find mouse/keyboard input OTHER than through the java.awt.event package? If there IS no other place, how the heck do I capture events? 'cause once that render loop starts off NOTHING gets through. What am I doing wrong?

After you implement a listener, you need to add it to the component. For example:

As I understand, the site web analytics reports cannot work in SharePoint 2010.
1. You could check the details about the error in the ULS log.
2. Install the hotfix that is dated June 29, 2010 to check if it can work.

Integrating Multiple Web Analytic Tools Possible?

Is it possible to integrate two web analytic tools in Eloqua? Google Analytics is currently integrated in our Eloqua instance and we would like to add Adobe Omniture. Does anyone know if this is possible and / or if this would have any negative implications?

If you're on WAS 6.20 and up, you can expose an RFC as a webservice directly from WAS.
Or if youre on Basis layer 4.6D, you'll need to use XI (or some other integration tool) to expose the RFC as a webservice.
To do this in XI you'll need to:
Integration Repository
1) Import the RFC
2) Define a message and datatype for the SOAP interface
3) Create inbound and outbound interfaces
4) Create maps between the RFC and SOAP messages
5) Create an interface map
Integration Directory
1) Create an RFC Receiver Channel
2) Create a SOAP Sender Channel
3) Generate the WSDL (Tools->Define Web Service)
You can then handoff the WSDL and a login username and password to your developer and they will have everything they need to make the WS call.
Here are answers to a few doubts u might have:
1) Do I need to actually create a WS that calls the RFC ? Isnt the virtual interface exposed by the XI sufficient?
Yes, you need to create a WS in XI that calls the RFC.
2) If I really have to create the WS and deploy it in order to expose it with the XI, then what is my benefit of exposing it with the XI, why not just exposing it as a normal WS ?
You don't have WAS 6.20 or up. Even if you did, you may still want to expose it using XI in order to have all of your integration go through the same application.
3) If I expose my web service through the XI, how does the client application executes one of its methods? To which url does it have to access (the XI or the actual WS)?
You expose a SOAP interface in XI by generating a WSDL file. This file contains all of the information a developer will need to call the webservice including the URL.
You actually specify the URL when you generate the WSDL. Be sure to read the documentation to get the correct format because the URL that the wizard suggests isn't correct.

In iMovie, click FILE/IMPORT/MOVIE and navigate to the folder where Image Capture stored your movies.
If that does not work...
Open iPhoto, and click FIle/Import To Library and navigate to your camera.
You can also click on your camera in Image Capture and set it to automatically open iPhoto, if you want.

Font Capture and Photoshopserver.exe Error Messages

Often after using Encore CS4 and/or Premiere Pro CS4 I try to shut down my computer but I ger error messages about Font Capture and Photoshopserver.exe. Any ideas?

I do have the same problem with Premiere Pro CS4 running on a PC (Windows XP Prof. 32-bit SP3)
It crashes randomly. My system meets all minimum requirements. Tried to reproduce the error, but no chance. I updated all drivers and Adobe updates, but nothing changed.
I am editting in a "Sony XDCAM EX 1080p" Sequence using material from the PMW-EX1 and Canon EOS 7D. The material of the 7D causes a lot more crashes than the EX footage.
In adition to the Font Capture error I get also this error:

Even if it isn´t Adobe´s fault, they should figure out the issue, because there are severel users having the same problem. I am thinking to update to CS5, but I actually would like to put my energy into my work and not into any system issues.

Problems in sound capture and JMF deployment

I am new to JMF.
I made an applet using JDK 1.3 on JBuilder 5. This applet captures and plays audio. When I run it through JBuilder's IDE, it runs fine. But when I run it independently, the applet's GUI appears but sound recording doesnn't work. Remember that I have JRE1.4.2 and JMF2.1.1e installed on my machine.
When I installed JMF, I enabled the recording, and file writing options for an applet.
To further check the problem, I ran it through JMF debugger. There I found that it says that ,
<permission javax.sound.sampled.AudioPermission "record";> is not enabled.
To enable it I added this entry in java.policy. This allowed the audio capture to work.
But my question is,
1. Why isn't this entry present by default in java.policy?
2. Even one of my user entered this entry in java.policy, but was unable to capture audio.
3. I want my applet to be running with different users having different versions of JRE,JMF and browser settings. How can I do this, without asking my user to do anything? I simply want that when my user downloads this applet, I should provide him with some installation file that installs JMF as well as configures everything on the system in a way that he can use this applet easily.
Haven't you guys faced such problems in deploying JMF stuff?

I am facing very similar problems: it looks like deploying JMF with Java Applets is really a challange!
On my own test installation, if I enable audio capture and file writing for applets through the JMFRegistry, then I am able to record audio from my test applet, even when executed in the target web browser.
Nevertheless, how to deploy the applet in such a way clients won't be required to manually install JMF and enable audio capture and file writing through the JMFRegistry?
It looks like the JMF Customizer is able to produce a custom JAR also embedding user preferences for audio capture from applets and file writing , is this correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"302 Moved Temporarily" is a web server error (I googled it - see e.g. http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E302.html)
Two recommendations that you can try:
- do not use 'localhost' - use computer assigned name, or at worst IP address
- in my system, Server URL is set to http://ecm-base:16200/cs/idcplg (from ODC). Try to modify yours accordingly.

Page cannot be displayed' error when 2 events (FireAction and GO) fired

We have created a framework page where FireAction event will be executed
when the value of a calendar item is modified. When we modify the
value and leave the cursor in the field (without tabbing out), and click
GO button, 'Page cannot be displayed' error message will be displayed.
When FireAction event is started, we use CO to retrieve the event. And
when the cursor remains in item1 after being modified and click GO,
2 events will be started (the FireAction event and the GO button's event)
and 'Page cannot be displayed' error will be shown since CO is retrieving
2 events at the same time.
Since by changing certain fields of framework page without tabbing out
is a regualar operation, how can we go around this error when we are
using FireAction event?

One thing that you can do if you don't wanna have PPR, is to validate date column in fire action event in CO in process form request, and raise an error if you don't find appropriate format or null , as per your requirement.

QT in html, events fired and movie internals doc

The Javascript Scripting Guide says under "Executing JavaScript Functions From QuickTime", page 11:
Wired actions can be triggered by user interaction, as a result of a frame in the movie being displayed, or as the
result of arbitrary wired calculations.
It also briefly describes (page 23) the matrix and rectangle properties, saying "You can use a movie’s transformation matrix to scale, translate, and rotate the movie image. For details on the transformation matrix, see Movie Internals."
And the Rectangle is defined as "void SetRectangle(string rect)"
Where can I find the reference to the events fired by QT automatically ?
Where can I find this Movie Internals description ?
I'm not very familiar with javascript... That's not a QT issue, but where can I find a description of the rect ?

Yes, you can navigate to other pages using buttons/code in an swf file. And you can trigger an event as well, though I don't know if that's what you intended to say if navigating to another page is what you are really after.
In AS3, to make a button work with code, you need to add an event listener and event handler function for it. You might need to add a few (for different events, like rollover, rollout, clicking it, but for now we'll just say you want to be able to click it to get a web page to open. In the timeline that holds that button, in a separate actions layer that you create, in a frame numbered the same as where that button exists, you would add the event listener:
btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btn1Click);
The name of the unique function for processing the clicking of that button is specified at the end of the event listener assignment, so now you just have to write that function out:

   navigateToURL(req);

I am new to web dynpro java . I want to know what are various situations in which Event handlers and Methods are introduced into component controller of a web dynpro component and situations in which individual component subscribe to event in component controller..

Hi Prasad,
When we write Events and methods inside the component controller those becomes visible throughout the components. So, for example, any action of a view of the component can call such a method of the component controller.
And when we write an Event or Method inside an individual component, it's life cycle remains inside the component only.
This is the basic difference.
Moreover, If you create attributes insdie component controller those becomes known to all methods that are called within a component and can be used by them, provided they have the Public property.

Taking pictures using image capture and Nikon d50

Hi, does any one know if it is possible to take pictures using image capture whilst my nikon d50 is connected to my MacBook so that the image is shown on the MacBook screen.

Yes! Indeed, I have that very same D50 (lovely isn't it?) and I just happenned to have taken already some pictures with it, from the computer.
Once it's pluggeg, go in Applications> Image Capture.
From there, you will either be able to download all the picture from the D50, or take new shots.
You can even share the camera (and it's pictures) online, so someone can even take picture with it (through a webpage). You could even try this yourself, play around in Image Capture and with it's share features, and somewhere it will give you the adress (internal ip adress) so suposely someone from your network (including your own computer) could go, check, and take pictures.
I've tried the web interface from my computer, but couldn't make it work with another one from my LAN. Have to work around this.
But in Image Capture, first make sure the D50 is selected (Devices>[pick it]) and then there is what you are looking for in the upper bar of the window.

my application capture video from a web cam using WDM.
when i start my record video function, i got a message "capture device in use".
how can i capture and record video at same time ???
is there anybody there that can send me an example????
