Web galleries showing in iweb after updates for anyone?

Wondering if anyone has tried and be successful publishing a web gallery from Aperture 2 and having it show up in the Iweb insert menu.
I get Iphoto galleries showing up, but not Aperture. The files are on the idisk.

I too have just discovered that web galleries created in Aperture show up on the web, but do not show up on the insert menu under iWeb. This is bad because I'm creating blog entries as we speak, and cannot insert recently created galleries into them. Any solutions anyone?

No sound when watching full-screen movies or TV shows in iTunes after update to 11.1

After updating to iTunes 11.1, any full-screen movies or TV shows I try to play on my Thunderbolt display with my MacBook Pro have no audio. If I plug in speakers or headphones, I get audio, just not from the Thunderbolt display. Audio works fine from MBP.
Weird thing is, if I plug in other speakers or headphones and then *unplug* them, the Thunderbolt display's speakers start working again. Every time you start a new show or movie, though, you have to do this again after the full-screen video opens on the display.
Really weird. I obviously suspect i has something to do with the 11.1 update to iTunes 'cause audio works just fine through the display for iTunes music and other content and for the web and all other apps and games, whether they're in full-screen mode or not.
Keep checking Software Update hoping to see that "1" badge pop up on the App Store, lol.
Anyone else experienced this?

Hy wishes for all of you. Having trouble after update my window 8 to 8.1. Perhaps the wrost day of my life. After update lost my Internet connection. It's shows limited connection and unindentify network. I search different post on Web regarding this problem and applied but all in vain. I would like to restore my old window but I don't have backup so now have true in trouble kindly help me out

Web Galleries and new iWeb album pages

The new version of iWeb allows for "album" pages that serve as a collection of all the photo and mvies pages that are in a site. This is pretty slick, and allows one to re-order the photo pages exactly like one can re-order photos on one of the photo pages.
I am playing with web galleries, and notice that you can create a widget for a gallery for any iWeb page. When I do this on my album page, the widget shows up, but does not act like or interact with the other picture pages. It is simply a "widget" that sits on the page where it is placed. Has anyone figured out how to get a (link to a) gallery to act like one of the photo pages?

I'm searching the forum for a solution to this too; web galleries look cheap next to the albums, and there's no reason for it. Short of changing all of my albums to galleries, here's my temporary solution, but it's a half-measure:
1) Drop a square on top of your .Mac Web Gallery widget that's just a bit larger than the widget.
2) Select the square, and in the Inspector, go to the Graphic Inspector, and under Stroke, select Picture Frame.
3) Select the frame that matches your album's format, then resize the square until it's just about the size of the widget, or provides the desired border width around the widget.
4) Move the square backward, behind the widget.
5) If desired, add a dummy album name beneath the gallery for visual continuity.

This worked for me because I'm using a white background and white frames; your mileage may vary depending on what theme and picture frames you're using. (I can't recall if I enabled additional frames in the Inspector as described in the Keynote forums - if a matching frame appears to be missing in the Inspector, let me know and I'll double-check this.)
Still, it's a sub-optimal solution, because 1) the widget cannot be resized 2) the widget still contains the gallery name, and 3) widgets cannot be rearranged the way albums can - they probably have to be segregated from albums.

Finder, web browser & other apps freezes after updating to 10.6.6

as soon as i've updated from 10.6.4 to 10.6.6 my system has gone significantly slower...off & on finder, web browser etc freezes, although features like "expose" and "show desktop" still works. other than that nothing works which ultimately returns to normal after waiting for certain agonizing minutes.
If i downgrade back to 10.6.4 through time machine everything runs smooth again...

For general speeds/unresponsive issues here's what you want to try:
PRAM/NVRAM Reset: Turn on the computer holding CMD-Option-P-R (Command-Option-P-R) and keep holding until you get a second start up chime (more are perfectly alright)
Clear the caches: Go to each users home folder by opening up finder. Go into the Library folder and find a folder called Caches. Drag that into the trash. Do it for all users, restart and empty trash (files are still active so you can't delete until restart)
Then you want to go into Safari on each User and click on the word Safari in the top right hand corner. Go down to Reset Safari and have everything checked but: Reset topsites, clear history, remove other autofill form text, remove passwords
Shut down your computer, on boot it may be a bit slower because of all the resets it's auto regenerating a bunch of files, but over all your system should be faster

Same SQLDev updates show up repeatedly after updating

Running Mac OS X 10.4.5 using a script I wrote and JDK 1.5.
Whenever I check for updates, it shows me updates for object viewer, worksheet, and snippets -- even right after I have updated them!
When I click 'details' it tells me something like "Object Viewer version 10.1.3.1215" and "The currently installed version of Object Viewer is 10.1.3".
I don't really mind but it isn't working right. Is this a Mac thing?

Not a MAC thing. Lots of talk on the forum about this over the past few days. There is a mismatch in the numbers we are checking for so SQL Dev thinks there are still new updates out there after you have updated. We will fix it in the next EA release but if you have updated once, you are good.

Late model 2012 macbook pro (non-retina) won't connect to external monitor after updating to 10.9.2 Tried PRAM, cleaning preferences; in safe mode the monitor does show up, but how does that help me?

I have the same problem with my mid 2012 mbp, but I can get the external monitor to show if I dont using the mirroring feature. Not exactly what I want to use but it may help if no one can find a solution.

IPad Air not showing full screen after updating to ios 8.2.

How do I reset the screen to show all items on screen while in Safari? Screen seems to be "cut-off" after updating to ios 8.2. Also cannot view Yahoo in Desktop view. It only shows in mobile mode,

When on Yahoo, tap on the address bar once...a drobox box containing icons of your favourites should appear. Hold your finger anywhere on the box & pull down,,,you should see 'Request Desktop Site' under the address bar...tap on that & the desktop site should load.
Is your Safari screen cut off a bit at the sides? I notice that too on certain websites & usually switch my iPad to landscape mode which allows me to view more of the page without having to scroll sideways.

Touch pad controls disappeared after update for Bootcamp windows 7

After updating Bootcamp for Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro 13" (Mid 2009), the touchpad lost its tap functionality and there, nolonger, is a touchpad tab in the Bootcamp Manager. Is there any way to reinstate the "tap to click" function?

Is there any way to disable "Checking Your Add-ons" window that comes when user starts Firefox after update for the first time?

we have over 1500 firefox users and its very confusing to them if after update they start their Firefox and this "Checking Your Add-ons" window comes.
It would be much appreciated if it can somehow skipped this or do it silently.

We currently have 3.6.x versions of Firefox in most computers, and if i do a silent install via sccm to version 12, then if user starts the new firefox for the first time, it checks addons, like java quick starter and browsing protection (f-secure) etc. Second time when they start firefox, it starts normally.
My question is - is there some way to avoid this first run addon compability checking?
I've tried numerous preferences in mozilla.cfg, nothing helps so far.

Before the Update for 8.1, the Windows Store was accessible to users on a domain with special profiles. Both users with roaming profiles using computer set to delete the cached profile and users with mandatory profiles, could access the
store. Why would you want to do this, some will ask. It is perfect for the training computers were the instructor is demonstrating an app. It worked great. After the 8.1 update (or an update near the same time) the Windows Store no longer allows
access. "you can't access the Windows Store because you're signed in to this PC using a temporary or guest account."
The setting "Allow deployment operations in special profiles" is enabled in the GPO. The roaming users, for instance, have a MS account associated and can access everything else that needs a MS account i.e. OneDrive.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Better yet, has anyone found a way to make this work?

From your description, the failure information is:
You can't access the Windows Store because you're signed in to this PC using a temporary or guest account.
As I know, we can still use roaming profile to access Windows Store:

So, I suspect this is related to the logon issue. can you check the event viewer to see if there is any user profile service related error.
Meanwhile, please check your Domain Guests group to see if the problematic users is existed there.

Error message after updating for Windows XP

I just tried to do an update for my Windows XP but now it is saying AdiADID_AcquireMatchSlotif Necessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll?
Has anyone had this message before? I completely uninstalled I-tunes and tried to reinstall but still get this message...also getting "Windows error 127".
