Web service - is it possible send/receive a file consuming a web service ?
Hello expert,
is it possibile attache a file on web service's message ?
ps. My system is without Java stack and without PI.
Tks,
Hello,
Unfortunately not.
SOAP with attachments (of any kind) is only supported with NetWeaver application server 6.4 WITH JavaStack. The ABAP version only supports SOAP without attachments.
We solved this issue for outgoing files using an IDOC type which we send through an RFC destination to a URL on a webserver outside SAP which accepts a file as parameter.

Sending/Receiving SMS on a J2EE Web Application
hi friends
i have developed an application for bank accounts. Its a web application and my server is Tomcat 5.0. my requirement is that user could sms (from their mobile) to my application. In the SMS they will provide their account no and in response my application will send a sms to their cell phone giving them their current balance.
Now im very new to this mobile technology. im confused that whether i have to use J2ME or JMS or what. And what other things i require.
The Mobile and application has to do nothin with each other(means they r not connected in any way). So i think i need services from a Service Provider. But from technology pt of view what i'll use??
If any body knows which tech. to use and flow of such application pls help.
thanx...Hi
There is no need to develope mobile application for
sending SMS from the PC.
n general, there are two ways to send SMS messages
from a computer / PC to a mobile phone:
Connect a mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem to a
computer / PC. Then use the computer / PC and AT
commands to instruct the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS
modem to send SMS messages.
Connect the computer / PC to the SMS center (SMSC) or
SMS gateway of a wireless carrier or SMS service
provider. Then send SMS messages using a protocol /
interface supported by the SMSC or SMS gateway.I would like to know how do you set up the whole thing. What are AT commands and Where do i get thm and how do i use them. i am sorry for asking so many question but i am really interested in knowing this. I am doing my school project which requires me to send sms from my PC.
Please help!!!!

XI File Adapter sending/receiving zip files
Can the XI File Adapter create a zip file to send outbound from XI and/or can it also translate a zip file inbound into XI?
Hi Kirk.
What you can do is use the OS command option on the adapter in order to unzip the file after the File\FTP adapter completes its file transfer to the specified path.One of my colleagues used a freeware zip app. that excepts an os command actions.
I know it works for file receiver but not sure about the sender. check SAP Note 801926 for more sender adapter parameters.

Sending/Receiving Bluetooth files
Hi,
i have the 8310. I cannot recieve or transfer by bluetooth. It lets me pair with devices then when they send it just fails everytime. I usually have to look for a device as it will not let other devices pair with me?
I don't know if i'm doing something wrong as i have never used a phone that has to be paired before??
Please help!!A lot of carrier's have blocked the ability to transfer files via Bluetooth. Reason being is for priacy. Let's say you download a ringtone and pay $3 for it and then give it to 15 other people, the artist of that ringtone only gets their share of one ringtone download but 15 other people have that ringtone that they didn't pay for. The only thing you can really do with Bluetooth now-a-days is pair your device to either a headset, a computer or another device to transfer contacts. Kind of sucks considering Bluetooth was designed to do transfer files on the fly between two devices.

Send/receive IDOCs to SOLMAN system using AS2 protocol!
Hi All,
I want to send/receive IDOC file to/from web based SOLMAN system. Currently I'm using FTP server to send/receive IDOC file.
As of now the current process is to send the IDOCs from ECC to FTP server and from FTP to third party and vice-versa. But due to some constraints, I'm bound to use web based SOLMAN system. Please, can you let me know how to send/receive IDOC files to SOLMAN. Is there standrad FM/method to connect to SOLMAN from ECC as in case of FTP we have FM 'FTP_CONNECT'. Heard that same functionality in case of SOLMAN can be achieved through AS2 protocol.
Kindly help.
Thanks.

MukeshHello Patrice
We have same issue. Is it possible to use IDoc (XML) directly with SAP 5.0 with SOAP (HTTP) without XI?
Since your que is three years old, I'm sure you must have found some method for this.

ABAP code and konfiguration for consuming secure web services
I need some help/links on how to create an abap program (on 4.6 or WAS 620, or 640 if not possible in older releases) to consume a web service with authentication using certificates based on WS security (<a href="http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/wss">http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/wss</a>) or client certificates. The request must include attachment in DIME or base64 format (preferably DIME).
On 4.6 I have used the FM HTTP_POST with the if_ixml interface to consume web services, but I don't know if it can handle https authentication and attachements.

Integration Engine -- Configure Sender/Receiver ID
All,
I'm trying to configure senders and receivers (using SAP PI 7.1) in order to prioritize messages afterwards...
My SAP ECC 6.0 system will send idocs (= business system) and my receiver is a business component.
Configuring my send is no problem. Idoc structure and namespace appear in the sender interface tab, bu when I want to configure my business component as a receiver, no interfaces appear in the list.
Only the following is appearing in the Receiver Interface list:
NAME NAMESPACE
InterfaceCollection http://sap.com/xi/XI/System
When I check my business component in the IB Directory, sender and receiver interfaces are clearly mentioned.
Can business components be used to configure senders and receivers?
Did I forget something?
Please advise.
Thanks a lot
DimitriHi Udo,
I have a receiver agreement with the following information:
Sender:
SEDCLNT312 (SAP ECC system SED client 312)
Receiver:
component: BC_EAI (business component)
interface: SI_IN_DIMONAO_A
namespace: http://www.securex.be/MF0401/DimonaOut
Then I go to Configure Sender/Receiver ID and choose BC_EAI as service.
I manually type in the namespace and the interface, but then I get an error saying
"SI_IN_DIMONAO_A is not an interface" (Exception of class CX_XMS_WRONG_INPUT)
ps: do you think the problem is solved when I use third-party business systems instead?
Thanks
Dimitri
Edited by: Dimitri Sannen on Jun 3, 2009 2:16 PM
I think I found the error: I manually added both interface and namespace and then the error is triggered.
But when I added the interface and then I put " * " for the interface, no error appears. Also the other way around, * for interface and namespace filled in.
I must test this in order to be sure this works.
Edited by: Dimitri Sannen on Jun 3, 2009 2:46 PM
When I test with a Business System as receiver, the same this happens.
I cannot indicate any receiver interface. So the same phenomenon with both a business component and business system.
Can it be this is a bug? -
Can I receive large files with Adobe Send?
Does Adobe Send make it possible to receive large files?
The incoming address can be whatever one is most preferable for you (just let the sender know). When you receive an email from Send, it just includes a link to the sent file. That way, you don't bump up against any file size limitations that your email client might impose.

Outlook 2013 Refuses Send/Receive
After my computer downloaded Windows updates automatically earlier today, when I click 'send/receive' Outlook 2013 (Microsoft Office 365) gives me a 'not implemented' error message.
I have disabled my anti-virus software. When I click 'Disable Scheduled Send/Receive' as suggested on some forums I get the error 'An OLE registration error occured. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program.'
I am running Windows 8.
When I try to uninstall Outlook I get 'Sorry We Ran Into A Problem. Error Code: 30175-4'.
How can I get Outlook to send/receive messages? Any help would be much appreciated.Hi,
Have you tried recreating your send/receive settings file (srs-file)? Navigate to
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook and then rename the
<mail profile>.srs file to <mail profile>.old. Restart Outlook to check if the issue persists. For more information about error 'not implemented', please refer:
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/825
For the 'An OLE registration error occured. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program.' error, you can try to run the
Regsvr32 ole32.dll command to check if it helps. See:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/email/error-an-ole-registration-error-occurred/
Please let me know the result.

PDF files in Oracle Content Services?
Is it possible to create PDF files in Oracle Content Services? is there a facility to convert protected documents to .pdf files
We are currently working with Adobe on this requirement and have implemented a POC that allows you to submit a document to workflow in content DB (for example, during a check-in operation) and through a custom BPEL flow, submit to an Adobe LiveCycle server where the document gets turned into a PDF, has policy and digital signatures applied to it.
The current POC does more than just convert to PDF. it does the following to the original document:
1) Converts it to PDF
2) Inserts signature fields, so the PDF can be digitally signed later
3) Applies policy (applies E-DRM, e.g. the end user can view but not copy the text or print the PDF)
4) Certifies the document (Server applies digital certificate to signature field)
5) Reader extends the document (enables end user to digitally sign PDF and add comments with Adobe Reader)
thanks,

Service Bus Send/Receive - REST API
I need to use the Azure Service Bus REST API for sending messages to Service Bus Topics. On the receiving side I'm using the Azure Service Bus SDK.
Message on the sender side:
POST https://your-namespace.servicebus.windows.net/HttpClientSampleQueue/messages?timeout=60 HTTP/1.1
Authorization: SharedAccessSignature sr=your-namespace&sig=Fg8yUyR4MOmXfHfj55f5hY4jGb8x2Yc%2b3%2fULKZYxKZk%3d&se=1404256819&skn=RootManageSharedAccessKey
BrokerProperties: {"Label":"M1","State":"Active"}
Content-Type: application/atom+xml;type=entry;charset=utf-8
Host: your-namespace.servicebus.windows.net
This is a message.
When reading the message body as message.GetBody<string> an error message is given serialization exception.
I already searched the web and found a possible solution:
Stream stream = message.GetBody<Stream>();
StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(stream);
string str = reader.ReadToEnd();
or as an alternative (instead of converting to string) converting the stream into an XmlDocument
Are hese recommended ways to handle this issue?
Thanks.@Serkant & Paolo: Thanks for the answers.
The client I use is Postman (Chrome plug-in).
The message below works fine, but as I mentioned on the server side (.NET with Azure Service Bus SDK/API) until now I used:
Stream stream = message.GetBody<Stream>();
StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(stream);
string str = reader.ReadToEnd();
But I'll now try with
var body = msg.GetBody<string>(new DataContractSerializer(typeof(string)));
POST /testtopic/messages HTTP/1.1

Calling Reporting Services Web Service with jQuery possible?
Hi,
is it possible to call the Reporting Services Web Service with jQuery? If yes, can someone post me a small example?
Background:
My plan is to create a html with a form which is also uploaded then into the reportserver. I open this html later by clicking a link in a report (with gotoURL open.window). The report opens the html inclusive the overtaken of some additional parameters
(reportname, reportdescription). These parameters I will use in the html-form as defaultvalues for the corresponding input-text-fields. Now the user can make some changes (i.e. the decription). With a click on a button I will send the new description to
the Reporting Services Web Service by using the SetProperties method, closing the html-window and reload the report. Important is that I want to upload the html also into the reportserver itself.
I have already found how to consume a web service via jQuery but with the Reporting Services Web Service I did not get it running in my tests.
I have referenced to the following jQuery.js: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js
Here you can see my tests I made with the results:
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'http://<..>/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx/ListChildren',
data: {'ItemPath':'/','Recursive':false},
complete: function(xData, status) {
$('p').html($(xData.responseXML).text()); // result
$("#divStatus").text( status ); // status }
I got a NULL response with Status success. But where are the items?
Another test which should response only one value was that:
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
contentType: "text/xml; charset=utf-8",
url: "http://<..>/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx/GetItemType",
data: {"Item":"/Development"}, // Development is a Folder in my Reportserver-Root
dataType: "xml",
success: function (msg) {
$("#divResult").html(msg.responseXML);
error: function (data, status, error) {
$("#divResult").html("WebSerivce unreachable<br> <br>" + data.responseXML + "<br> <br>(" + error + ")");
Here I got an [object Error]
And here my last test:
var soapMessage = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>\
<soap:Envelope \
xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" \
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" \
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">\
<soap:Body>\
<GetItemType xmlns="http://www.microsoft.com/sql/ReportingServer">\
<ItemPath>/Development</ItemPath>\
</GetItemType>\
</soap:Body>\
</soap:Envelope>';
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
contentType: "text/xml; charset=utf-8",
url: http://<..>/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx?wsdl,
data: soapMessage,
dataType: "xml",
success: processSuccess,
error: processError
function processSuccess(data, status, req) {
if (status == "success")
$("#response").text($(req.responseXML).find("Type").text());
function processError(data, status, req) {
alert(req.responseText + " " + status);
Here I got an "Undefined error"
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
