Web Service Model Exception ?

Hi @,
I am using Web Service Model in my application and when I deployed the same and run it I am getting the following exception:

Can anyone help why this error is coming.
Regards,
Amit

Hi Fazal,
Where can I define Web Service Destination as the document you have mentioned refers  to the Service group approach and I am not using the same.
Now when I am running app I am getting Exception :com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.discovery.TargetNotMappedException: Logical Target destination with name : DEFAULT_WS_METADATA_DEST does not exist not mapped to a physical system.

Amit

  • "Import Web Service Model" meets IO exception.

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to import a Web Service Model through tutorial on NWDS version 2.0.9.
    Accident occurs: After the importing process, nothing happenes - NO error message, NO imported model under node "Model".
    But when I do the same thing on my colleague's computer, the model is correctly imported. Actually our computers have the same NWDS version.
    I tried many times. It is always failure on my computer. And even I re-install NWDS, still the same problem.
    I checked the log, which contains such an exception:

    Actually I can connect successfully to the WebService through IE. How does this occur?
    Does anyone have such experience?

    Hi Gangtee,
    Are you working inside a secured network, if yes please check the proxy settings which are shown while NWDS installation.

    Hello Balaram,
    I think the issue is related to NWDS Plug in- Web Dynpro Model Editor.Please check following thread.
    Can't create model in Web Dynpro

  • Create adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project

    I have been trying to create a new new adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project.I am using the URL of the wsdl file to create the model. I have copied the url link of the wsdl from the overview tab of the web services navigator. The web service works fine when tested through the Netweaver Navigator. This web service has also been used successfully through the Visual Composer. • Error while creating adaptive web service model

    Hi All,
    There is a requirement where the webdynpro application is deployed in backend system while the web service is created in the front end system. We need to connect to this web service and execute it in our webdynpro application to get response. For this we have created Logical Destination in backend system that points to the web service in the front end system.
    The web service, when tested directly through Web Services Navigator, works fine.
    Here, while creating an Adaptive Web Service Model in the webdynpro application, after giving name, package, destination name etc when I enter wsdl url and click on Next I am getting an error as u201CError in downloading the WSDL fileu201D.
    The error log says u201Ccom.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.exception.WSModelRuntimeException:Exception on creation of service metadata for WSDL URLu201D.
    Even if I try to create model with url only by selecting u201CNo Logical Destinationsu201D, error remains the same.
    What may be the reason for this and possible solution?
    Appreciate an early response.
    Regards,

    Hi
    I am building a simple send email application using a web service.

    Step 3 - No logical destination
    step 4 - choose wsdl file from file system.
    Process successfully done and model created.
    BUT
    when i am trying to run this application it is throwing file not found exception. i.e. not able to locate wsdl file.
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\AbysalEmail.wsdl (The system cannot find the file specified)
    I am using remote network connection to access NWDS. and in remote drive C: itself i have saned my file.
    Then Why it is not able to locate my file.

    Gerhard,
    Then, I can think of only one possibility. Your WSDL is a RPC/Encoded one.
    Try using a WSDL of type Doc/Literal. This should help in identifying the easter egg. I believe that there might be some unsupported tags in your current WSDL.

    In the test of the web service the Low of the ZbapiRWapius is not needed.
    And after setting the value, the exception told me that I must set the tWca, ie the subnode of the result.
    The problem is: I do not know why the setter method of the original bean of the "parameters" only accept the parameter of array type .
    I think the parameter I set may be wrong.
    When I deal with another web service model(the level of the structure is not deep), it is ok.
    Could someone give me some suggestion or explanation?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Error when using byte array in web service model interface

    Hello everybody,
    I'm using a web service model in my web dynpro application. The web service requires a byte array as import parameter.
    When starting the web dynpro application the following error occurs:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDTypeNotFoundException: type java:byte not found
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.datatypes.core.DataTypeBroker.getDataType(DataTypeBroker.java:216)
    I'm using byte arrays several times in my application --> no problem. So why does the error say "byte not found" when using the web service?
    Thanks for your help!
    regards
    Christian

    Hi,
    maybe this is the problem. The type is byte and not binary.
    But I have the same problem as mentioned in the other thread: I can't change the type.
    The type in the WSDL of my web service is "base64binary". Is there maybe a possibility to import a jar-file for this type?

  • Web Service Model for ABAP Web Service

    Hi,
    I have developed ABAP web service and called it using web service model in WD. The WS is working from WSNavigator. While calling it from WD, im getting the following exception:
    Service call exception; nested exception is:
    com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (502) Proxy Error ( No data record is available ).
    Is some setting required in R/3 where WS is created or on WAS where the WDAppl is deployed?
    Regards,

    Hi Smruti,
    Please try the following:
    Go to Web Service model
    Logical Port
    Uncheck "Use HTTP Proxy" settings..
    Also make sure the WAS has entry of R/3 in hosts files..

  • Web Dynpro - Web service Model- nither output nor the errors

    Hi friends,
            I am trying a WD application with Web Service model. It is a simple WS, created for GET_FLIGHT_LIST BAPI. When I tried with Adaptive Web Sevice Model I got File not found Exception. So  I tried with the Web Sevice Model -- Deprecated.
    when I am executing the WS in the application I am getting output nor the errors. But when I am executing this WS in the WS navigator, I am getting the output. I checked all the bindings and mappings. I invalidated all output nodes after execution. And I am passing all mandatory parameters.
    Helpful answers will be awarded certainly.
    Regards,
    Siva

    Hi Siva Rama Krushna,
    Are you getting any exception on execution of model? did you print any message in the catch block?
    If not, please try to print the exception message and exception cause. (ex.getCause).
    If you are not getting any exception, try executing the webservice directly in webservice navigator and check whether result is coming or not.
    Regards,
    VJR.

  • WebDynpro External Web Service Model

    I am writing an application in web dynpro which uses web service model. In that model there are lot of complex data types.
    External webservice i am using is
    http://arcweb.esri.com/services/v2/MapImage.wsdl
    I am facing couple of problems.
    1.
    If the webservice is having overloaded methods,it is generating error for the second overloaded method.The stub file itself contains statment as follow:
    Response = new();
    2.
    While calling the methods there are some default values which are needed to be assigned to elements. So i am not binding such elements to any UI. I have created a context in a Component and liked with the web model. In woInit() method of the controller i am initializing request and binding it to the model. After that i am assigning the default values to some of the elements as follow for eg.
    Request_xyz req = new Request_xyz();
    wdCOntext.nodeRequest_xyz.bind(req);
    req.setx("x");
    XYZ x = new XYZ();
    x.setT1("t1");
    x.setT2{"t2");
    req.setXYZ(x);
    When i send the request what i observed that the values for the complex type XYZ is passing as null in the stub.
    but the values of req.setx("x") is available.
    Can you help me in this as it seems the problem with the serialization?
    3.The function which I am trying to access needs some Complex data type array. When i checked the SOAP request i found that the namespace for the array type is getting blank values. Because of which SOAP response is giving exception.
    The SOAP request is as below. For the <maker> which is an array ,the xmlns:tns='' is generated.

    Hi Mital,
    I believe that overloaded methods in web services are not WS-I compliant therefore I would caution you against using them.

  • WEB DYNPRO AND WEB SERVICE MODEL: ejb remove doesn't work

    Hi guru,
    this is my scenario:
    J2EE-7.00 SP14-> PORTAL ->7 sp14  ->WEB DYNPRO FOR JAVA ->Web Service Model ->  WS Custom with MDM API JAVA
    The my WS is a Stateless Session Bean and i have this code:
         public void ejbCreate() throws CreateException {
              loc.setMinimumSeverity(Severity.INFO);
              loc.addLog(new ConsoleLog());
              this.plug = (MdmPlug) new MdmPlug(true);
              try {
                   this.loadProperties();
                   this.plug.connect(
                        hostname,
                        repository,
                        language,
                        username,
                        password);
                   loc.fatalT(msgLog+"[ ejbCreate ] START....");
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   if (e.getMessage()!=null)this.error=e.getMessage();
                   loc.fatalT(msgLog, this.error);
    public void ejbRemove() {
              try {
                   loc.fatalT(msgLog+"[ ejbRemove ] STOP....");
                   this.plug.close();
                   loc.fatalT(msgLog+"[ ejbRemove ] ...OK");
              } catch (ControlException e) {
                   loc.fatalT(msgLog+"[ ejbRemove ] ...K O !!!!");
    The my problem is:
    When open the IE and open my WD  the new EJB's instance is created (I see my log +"[ ejbCreate ] START....in LOG VIEWER).
    But, when I do log-off or I close IE, I don't see "[ ejbRemove ] STOP...." in LOG.
    Result:
    I open the MDM connection but not close it.
    Where is the problem?
    In Web Dynpro?
    In Web services?
    I have to create another WS's type?

    Hi Max,
    You can't run an EJBControl from a simple java class using either @Control or programmatic instantiation.
    The EJBControl implementation relies on Resource Context events so it "needs" a container context to run.
    You can use the ControlTestCase to unit test an EJB via EJB Control. You will need to configure the JNDIContextEnv annotation to bind to the server where the EJB is deployed. Note that this only works with EJBs that have a remote interface and a global JNDI name.
    The test case would look something like this (I've seen this example run as long as the JUnit classpath includes weblogic.jar)
    public class SimpleClient extends ControlTestCase {
    public void setUp() throws Exception { super.setUp(); }
    public void tearDown() throws Exception { super.tearDown(); }
    @Control
    @EchoEjbControl.JNDIContextEnv(
    contextFactory="weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory",
    providerURL="t3://localhost:7001",
    principal="weblogic",
    credentials="weblogic"
    public EchoEjbControl echoEjb;
    public void testXXX() {} // ... test methods that reference echoEjb
    Thanks
    Vimala
