Web service to BW....Urgent!

Hello experts
I am trying to connect JDBC to SAP BW. I am getting a connection error.
I checked in "Maintain services" using t-code SICF. default_host --> sap --> bw --> xml --> soap --> xmla.
I checked all of the above components are active but still I am getting error. Do I need to check in any other place.
I am using BW 3.5
Thanks
Rao

Hi,
Have you installed the BW 3.5 Java components?
Take a look at the link below:

  • Web Services with EJB ( Urgent )

    Hi,
    Can any help me??
    I have a Web Services that uses a Java Control ( EJB ) and my EJB Control call Hibernate......
    My problem is caused
    "The transaction is no longer active - status:'Committed'. No further JDBC access is allowed within this transaction".
    What do I do ??
    Thanks....

    Maybe you set the transaction attribute to some too restrictive 'RequiresNew' for the EJB method you are invoking. Try to change it to 'Supports' and leave transaction management to Hibernate if there is no reason for that.

    no, it's just like invoking any other webservice.
    That's why it's called a WEBSERVICE ENDPOINT to the EJB, and not an EJB ENDPOINT to a webservice.

  • Urgent Apex Web service

    Hi,
    I've created the web service in Visual studio 2008. Then I want to create web service reference from APEX. when I use create web service reference from WSDL file it gives me error:
    1 error has occurred
    * The WSDL document could not be understood by the rendering engine. Click Create Web Service Reference Manually to continue creating a reference for this service.
    Does anyone have experience with this error???
    Thank you.

    I did a google search on your error message - the first sentence in an advanced search for an exact match - and got 4 hits. 3 of them were OTN posts without a clear answer. The fourth was another site with some discussion that may or may not help you is here http://database.itags.org/oracle/46310/

  • Information regarding  web services  its urgent....

    Can any body plz tell me, is there any way to integrate a stand alone java swing application with a web service?
    If yes how? Its urgent..........
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
    the integration of such a web service is very easy:
    create partner link and enter into the field "WSDL file" the URL of your webservice. (The URL which is browsable).

  • Urgent! How to create a ebook using web services?

    Hi I would need some help on how to creating a e-book using web services. Sample code would be good for me.
    I had been finding sources for quite sometime but i doesn't seems to be easy to find as compare to andriod.
    Description:
    Windows 8.1 SDK Sliverlight.
    The e-book will on PDF format.
    Once user click e-book icon, i would link to my database to retrieve all the ebook available via web services.
    Then user select the e-book, the content will be again retreive from my database to the users.
    Is there any solution? I need it quite urgent.

    Hi Ding Zheng,
    >>Once user click e-book icon, i would link to my database to retrieve all the ebook available via web services. Then user select the e-book, the content will be again retreive from my database to the users.
    According this approach, I would suggest you make good use of build-in API to render PDF in store app. see more classes in the following namespace.
     http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.data.pdf.aspx. Using this APIs need PDF file in local storage, so I list the following steps
    for you to try.
    Step 1, Store PDF file in web site folder and save the PDF URL in database.
    Step 2, Use Web service/WCF/REST service to public the PDF to store app.
    Step 3, Store app uses service to get PDF list and then display them.
    Step 4, User choose one PDF, get the PDF download URL from service and then download it on local storage. Store app support download file form server, you can use BackgroundDownloader. See from
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.networking.backgroundtransfer.backgrounddownloader.aspx.
    Step 5, Use PDF APIs to render it in store app. See code sample
    https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/PDF-viewer-sample-85a4bb30#content.
    Please feel free to let me know if you have any concerns.

  • Urgent: System.OutOfMemoryException in SQL Reporting Services 2005 Web Service

    Hi All,
    On a production server box with 8GB of RAM, we are running a windows service which retrieves image format bytes of a particular report which results in pages ranging from 10 to 300 using Reporting Services 2005 Web Service.
    Problem is when image bytes are being retrieved by using Render method for a report with more than around 30-40 pages,
    Report Web Service throws an exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException. This does not happen with reports with smaller pages. Please note that we are retrieving high DPI image and we have no option but to do so.
    Since the production server has 8 GB of RAM and we have even enabled the 3GB switch in boot.ini of Windows Server 2003, This problem still exists.
    I have already read the contents of the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909678 but as i mentioned even the large physical memory does not seem to help and shortening the report is not an option.
    Also note that large number of records is also not a problem as our application works fine when we generate excel files instead of images.
    Follwing is the detailed exception that we receive.
    System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

    Hi Hameer,
    This error might be caused by the memory limit.  There are two settings that will affect the memory configuration.
    When you render a report through the Reporting Services Web service, the Reporting Services Web service obtains the "MemoryLimit" setting from the Machine.config file.
    A scheduled report is rendered by the Report Server Windows service. The Report Server Windows service obtains the "MemoryLimit" setting from the RSReportServer.config file.
    These values represent a percentage of physical memory. You can adjust them to change the memory limit.
    If there are any more questions, please let me know.
    Thanks.

    Any ideas on what the problem might be ?

    Sandor,
    Thanks. Your suggestion of turning off optSoapShortcut worked. So does that mean that by default remote web services cannot be invoked from BPEL process by SOAP - unless this configuration change is done ?

  • Urgent : Error while creating PL/SQL web service in JDeveloper 11R2

    Hi,
    I am new to web services and I have a requirement to create web services in PL/SQL. I installed JDeveloper 11R2 in my machine and connected it to my local schema.
    My database is Oracle 10g.
    I am able to see my package in JDeveloper. But when I try to "Publish as JAX-RPC web service..."I am getting the following error:

    When I searched in google I came across solutions like "The error is caused by missing SYS.SQLJUTL definition in XE. " But my database is not XE and one more thing I noticed is there is no start_oc4j.bat file in the JDeveloper home.
    I would appreciate if anybody can throw some light on the issue.

    BJ

  • URGENT **** Need help for JAX-RPC Web Service Proxy deploy to OC4J 10.1.3.5

    Hi everyone!
    I’m really new to web services.
    I’m getting a *500 internal server error* while deploying my JAX-RPC web service Proxy to an Oracle AS, in an OC4J, v. 10.1.3.5.0.
    Running my client from my development environment (*jdeveloper 10g, 10.1.3.5.0*) everything functions correctly: from jdeveloper I can contact and use the web service defined by the following endpoint: https://www.medialibrary.it/services/federaMLOL.asmx?WSDL
    I created a "try_ws_client.jsp" file that runs correctly from my local development environment jdeveloper (that uses an embedded oc4j, v. 10.1.3.5.0) but fails when run from the test server (Oracle AS, in an OC4J, v. 10.1.3.5.0), getting, as I mentioned a 500 internal server error, a white page in IE but with FF the message says: The’s an error in the servlet .....
    Here's how I created the ws proxy and how I’m using it to consume the ws I mentioned.
    1. I used the jdeveloper “Create Web Service Proxy” wizard (File > New > Business Tier > Web Services > Web Service Prox) and in the WSDL document URL I put: https://www.medialibrary.it/services/federaMLOL.asmx?WSDL
    2. The operation ended without adding nothing to the web.xml file and creating the proxy files. One of them is: FederaMLOLSoapClient.java that have the WS exposed methods (es: public boolean createUser(String) ) + a “main” method with the example how to use this client to consume the WS.
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient myPort = new it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient();
    System.out.println("calling " + myPort.getEndpoint());
    // Add your own code here
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    3. In FederaMLOLSoapClient.java I’ve create the method "tyIt":
    public String tryIt(String username) {
    try {
    it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient myPort = new it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient();
    if(myPort.createUser(String username)) {
    return “O.K”;
    } else {
    return “K.O”;
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    // logs error
    4. I created my try_ws_client.jsp file that creates FederaMLOLSoapClient object and calls the tryIt method, printing the “OK” or “KO” message.
    <%@ page import="it.reggiocity.provincia.biblioreggiane.*"%>
    <%
    String message = "";
    FederaMLOLSoapClient obj= new FederaMLOLSoapClient( );
    message = obj.tryIt(“AAAAAA70R10H226H”);
    %>
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"/>
    <title>prova</title>
    </head>
    <body><%=message%></body>
    </html>
    The situation is:
    My try_ws_client.jsp runs correctly from my jdeveloper and the user is created while creating app.ear and deploying it to my Oracle AS/OC4J as mentioned above, I get a 500 Internal Server Error.
    Any idea to find a solution to this problem?
    Please help.
    Take care.

    Hi,
    you want to build the Web Service, or you want to consume the Service as a client? If the latter, Web client (ADF?) or Java client?

  • Web Service portlet in PDK (Urgent!!!)

    I have a .NET web service I would like to consume in the portal and present as a portlet. For several reason I do not want to use OMNI (not the least of the reasons is after 3 weeks of working with oracle tech support on a corresponding I still can’t get OMNI and WebClipping running)
    Either way, the WS consumption system with xsl/xslt controlled presentation as seen in Web Services sample provide in the PDK suits my needs a lot better.
    Now as I mentioned I have a .NET service running and well tested.
    I can indeed consume it and even apply XSL, what I can’t do however is to pass parameters to web service.
    I define portlet with something like:
    <portlet class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultPortletDefinition">
              <id>25</id>
              <name>Listings</name>
              <title>Listings Web Service Portlet</title>
              <shortTitle>Phone Listings</shortTitle>
              <description>Web Service demonstration portlet.</description>
              <timeout>100</timeout>
              <timeoutMessage>portlet timed out</timeoutMessage>
              <acceptContentType>text/html</acceptContentType>
              <renderer class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.RenderManager">
              <contentType>text/html</contentType>
              <charSet>UTF-8</charSet>
              <showPage class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.webservice.DocWebServiceRenderer">
                   <contentType>text/html</contentType>
                   <logging>true</logging>
                   <endpointURL>http://myserver.com/webservices/listings.asmx</endpointURL>
                   <soapAction>http://myserver.com/webservices/getPerson</soapAction>
                   <literal class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.webservice.LiteralXML"
                   handler="oracle.portal.provider.v2.webservice.LiteralXML$Handler">
                   <element name="getPerson">
                        <attribute name="xmlns">http://myserver.com/webservices/</attribute>
                        <element name="inputStr"
                        bind="urlParams/lname"
                        default="Yu"
                        prompt="Please enter last name"/>
                   </element>
                   </literal>
                   <escapeOutput>false</escapeOutput>
              <responseXSL>listings.xsl</responseXSL>
              </showPage>
              </renderer>
         </portlet>
    This actually seem to work and in the …_literal.xml log file I can see something like that:
    <getPerson xmlns="http://myserver.com/webservices/">
    <inputStr xmlns="http://myserver.com/webservices/">Yukh</inputStr >
    </getPerson >
    (Yukh – is what I passed as urlParam)
    The problem however is that service that should run a query with “WHERE lname LIKE ‘<inputStr>%’” returns the whole datatable rather then only those records that starts with Yukh in the lname column. In short request parameter is ignored by web service (or not passed)
    The only difference between my portlet and samples (most of which don’t work as advertised by the way) is that oracle …_literal.xml log file doesn’t have xmlns in the sub elements
    <WhoIs xmlns="http://tempuri.org/">
    <DomainName>oracle.com</DomainName>
    </WhoIs>
    (I have no idea why mine does (I define no attributes for inputStr element)
    If you have any idea what I might be missing or doing wrong please let me know!!! I’ll greatly appreciate.

    We tried using Omniportlet. It expects the resultset in ROWSET/ROW format. Our .Net Webservice doesn't return in rowset/row. We tried transforming using XSL, but even then it didn't work.
    Thanks

  • Urgent: Is it possible to deploy a web service EAR/JAR to a container other than WebLogic?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to deploy an EAR/JAR created using JwsCompile to any J2EE container?
    Ideally, I would like to make use of the features that are only provided by WebLogic
    Workshop, like State Management, Callbacks too. If possible, what are the steps
    involved?
    There is an example for interoperability included in the samples that demonstrates
    the use of a WebLogic Workshop web service from an ASP.NET web service, participating
    in a conversation and accepting a callback. Is it possible to do the same using
    a normal C# windows or webforms app instead of using an ASP.NET web service? So,
    I would like to access the WebLogic workshop generated web service with state
    management and callbacks from a C# windows app.
    Thanks in anticipation,
    August

    Hi ,
    I have created one REST web service which accepts two parameters send back JSON results.
    I tested the it in browser with URL as http://+Inteernal server+/ords/utimes/login_info?p1=+first_param+&p2=+second_para+
    Web service URL :  http://+Inteernal server+/ords/utimes/login_info?p1={p1}&p2={p2}
    But when java team wants to access it from java code it gives error as "400- Bad Request".
    one more IMP thing : when I test it in RESTful web service by using "set bind variable" , it only set value of first parameter.
