Web Services with EJB ( Urgent )

Hi,
Can any help me??
I have a Web Services that uses a Java Control ( EJB ) and my EJB Control call Hibernate......
My problem is caused
"The transaction is no longer active - status:'Committed'. No further JDBC access is allowed within this transaction".
What do I do ??
Thanks....

Maybe you set the transaction attribute to some too restrictive 'RequiresNew' for the EJB method you are invoking. Try to change it to 'Supports' and leave transaction management to Hibernate if there is no reason for that.

  • Problem generating Web Service with business methods in multiple EJB's

    Hi,
    I'm I a "web service novice" but I'm working with an
    application which was developed in an earlier version
    of Studio which has
    ~30 business method coming from ~12 EJB's. When I attempt
    to recreate the Web Service in Java Studio Enterprise 7 (had same problem versions 5 and 6) I have trouble. When I execute the "Generate Web Service Files" command I get complilation errors in the <webservice_name>.java file. It is obvious that the
    protected Map theJNDIMap = makeJNDIMap();
    protected Map makeJNDIMap() {
         Map m = new HashMap();
         // This map might get changed at deployment time
         m.put(......
    is all screwed up. Entries are missing and the closing bracket isn't even there.
    Is there some user error on my part?
    Is this a know bug (I couldn't any info. and I get the same behavior on the current and older versions of Studio)?
    Is there a workaround? I can fix this particular java file and compile it sucessfully. However, I'm still missing many of the other web service files that should be generated for me.
    All the tutorials on web services that I've done to looked over all get there business method from 1 EJB :(
    Please advise,
    Freda Phelps

    I had a problem too. Successfully created an EJB and its test application. Tested the same using Web client and works fine. Now created a web service from EJB methods. It created the skeletons. When tried creating Web Svc test client or web svc other files..it gives me an exception saying xmlservices.jar doesnt exist in the C:\Docs and Settings\<$username>\.jstudio\Ent04Q4modules. I have searched for this file and copied (overwritten) it into this directory. But still i cant proceed further.

  • Web service from ejb

    Hi All,
    I am new to java web services.
    I made web services from ejb with netbeans.
    I like only some people to have access to this services with user and pass stored in database.
    In other words I need authentication and authorization.
    How can I do this?
    Regards

    Well it depends also on application server you are using.
    It depends also on web service stack you are using.
    For example here is the hint for glassfish (Metro):

  • Calling web service with basic authentication from EP "unauthorized"

    Hello,
    I need to call a .NET web service with basic authentication on the IIS from my portal application (no http proxy between portal and IIS). But always I get the following exception:
    <b>com.sap.engine. services.webservices.jaxm.soap.accessor. NestedSOAPException:
    Problem in server response: [Unauthorized].</b>
    I'm using the following code for calling the .NET web service:
    <b>...</b><i>Licence_GetList lParameter = new Licence_GetList();
    lParameter.setStatus(CEnvironment.TransformStatus_WebService(search));
    ILicenceManager lLicMan = (ILicenceManager) PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService("LicenceManager");
    ILicenceManager lLicManSecure = lLicMan.getSecurisedServiceConnection(request.getUser());
    Licence_GetListResponse lGetListResponse = lLicManSecure.Licence_GetList(lParameter);</i><b>...</b>
    I've also configured a http system in the portal system landscape using the following parameters:
    <i>Authentication Method : Basic Authentication
    Authentication Type : Server
    User Mapping Type : admin,user</i>
    The user mapping is also personalized for this system!
    What's wrong? Please help! This is really urgent!
    Kind Regards
    Joerg Loechner

    Hello Renjith,
    here is a small cutout of my "portapp.xml";
    <services>
      <service alias="LicenceManager" name="LicenceManager">
        <service-config>
          <property name="className" value="de.camelotidpro.
                 pct.xi.scm.webservice.LicenceManager"/>
          <property name="startup" value="false"/>
          <property name="WebEnable" value="false"/>
          <property name="WebProxy" value="true"/>
          <property name="SecurityZone" value="de.camelotidpro.
                 pct.xi.scm.webservice.LicenceManager/
                   DefaultSecurity"/>
        </service-config>
        <service-profile>
          <property name="SystemAlias" value="LicMan_NET"/
        </service-profile>
      </service>
    </services>
    I'm using a http system created in the system landscape (alias LicMan_NET). But it seems that this system is not used by the web service call (No error, even if I delete this system!). The code used to call this web service can be found at the top of this threat...

  • Adaptative web service or EJB ?

    Hi everybody,
    I want consume a web service from  a system SAP R/3.
    Apparently, we can consume with component EJB ...
    What is the difference between a adaptative web service and EJB ?
    More security with EJB ?
    Thanks
    Rodolphe.

    Hi,
    We use for ejbs when we have to store data in database..
    if ejbs r like a medium for data transfer..where session bean contain ur business logic..
    u cn use webdynpro interface as well as jsp interface wid ejb..
    if u r using ejb u'll have to create an ejb projct first then u'll hav to create java proct which will contain ur wrapper class for fields.later on u'll have to create one application project tht wud b an Ear projct.nw u create a web service for session bean ..aftr doin this all u can test webservice which will b executed for ur business method.
    for more security u can use ejb security model :[http://java.sun.com/j2ee/tutorial/1_3-fcs/doc/Security.html]
    Web services r created for session bean..so that u cn directly access ur methods via url..
    for a detailed description of web service go through :- [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d6/f9bc3d52f39d33e10000000a11405a/content.htm]
    for ejb project go through this1 :[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/ca4a9c90-0201-0010-c389-8738cd51a88e]

  • Web service with multiple out parameters

    Hi Developers,
    I have been playing around with som web services in the developer studio.
    I can create a webservice from a normal ejb.
    But i can only get one out parameter, which is the return parameter of the ejb.
    I tried to make an object to use as return parameter, but then i couldn't use the method for the web service.
    Can anyone tell me how to make a web service with multiple out parameters?
    Br Rasmus

    Hi Developers,
    I have the same question, is it possible to have multiple outgoing parameters?
    When not, does SAP Netweaver knows a IN-OUT parameter? Because I found on the internet that it is possible to have a IN-OUT parameter. But that was with the BEA Weblogic 8.x.
    When not, is then the only solution to return a object? With in this object all the parameters you want.
    Or otherwise is there a other workaround?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Issue using web-service with forms9i

    using web-service with forms9i
    Hi
    I have a setup of oracle9ias release 2 on solaris machine. I have made a web-service which is deployed on nt machine on weblogic server. I have made a call from my form (forms9i) to this web-service. When i try to use that web-service after deploying my form on solaris, it initializes the web-service and performs the action successfully. Now the problem is that my form also makes a call to report server to generate a report. The problem is when i initialize the web-service and uses its function it works but after that making a call to report server will fail. Also if i make a call to report server first, it generates the report and then i make call to the web-service, then that web-service fails to run. And in both cases, the forms application stops saying session has aborted.
    Why cant i make call to both the things in one session of application? What could be the reason for that? Need help urgently.

    Sorry,
    I didn't know that this was necessary to find a solution.
    Here are the definition out of the WSDL File:
    <xsd:complexType name="ZS_EQART_RANGE_LINE">
         <xsd:sequence>
              <xsd:element name="SIGN" type="tns:char1"/>

  • Web services with servicegen i Weblogic 7

    I am trying to create web services with Weblogic's tool servicegen and
    ANT. It works great until I have a web service method that return a PK
    class of an EJB. I get the error "Error: bean property and public

    some investigating I found out that it was my PK class that was the
    bad guy. But my PK class MUST have the field "id" public, otherwise

    Web services can only be published to BEA if you install Apache SOAP on BEA and use the Apache SOAP option of JDeveloper. The J2EE Web Services implementation framework is specific to Oracle9iAS.
    The PL/SQL Web Services server implementation is based on the J2EE Web Services option and as a result is not really portable to BEA.
    To publish a PL/SQL Web service on BEA with JDeveloper you would have to write the Java wrapper code to invoke the stored procedure using standard JDBC and then publish that Java class as a Web service using Apache SOAP. Then if you had Apache SOAP installed on BEA you would be set.
    Portability of Web services implementations is a big feature coming with JAX-RPC - currently what most vendors have is interoperability between implementations because of things like SOAPBuilders and WS-I. When JAX-RPC becomes part of J2EE 1.4 roughly in June and vendors start putting out implementations on it you should get closer to portability.
    In the meantime, the easiest way to get portability is to use the same SOAP server on both servers - Apache SOAP is a good example.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create document/literal web services with WLS7

    How do you create document/literal web services with WLS7 ( not workshop)
    - Is it possible with servicegen and stateless EJBs as the backend component?
    The default is RPC/Soap-encoded is there anyway to craft the web-services.xml
    to make it document/literal
    - Is it possible with the JMS-implemented web services - have not tried this yet
    - Is there another mechanism?

    That would be the <web-service> element in the web-services.xml file, of course.

    Hi Rich,
    Try adding a style="document" attribute to the starting <web-service>
    element.
    The might be a way to get <servicegen> to do this for you, but I haven't
    found
    it yet :-)

  • Web Services with REST, SOAP and  JAX-RPC

    Hi,
    Can somebody who has developed web services extensively comment/suggest a java development environment that works best for developing web services mainly with REST. I've found that Eclipse with Axis2 and Tomcat works well. But I would like to get your opinion on it and some other alternatives.

    Hi,
    Please help me its urgent.
    can u give me a detail example how to do Web services
    with REST.
    Here is my id [email protected]
    Thanks in advance.You can do this in many ways. It depends on how heavy your service is. You can write a simple servlet that will take a REST (I'm assuming you know what REST is) request and parses it out, calls a server-side method and generates a REST response.
    Another way is to use a web-service container such as AXIS. You can read some examples and documentation on their website. AXIS2 has REST support as well.

    Hi Vijay,
    Thanks for the Reply.
    Please provide the JAR Files i need to add.
    I had tried to consume the web service by using the java class in Java Project ie EJB.
    After creating the Project i will import the WSDL file in that Project and create the Client Application.
    The Request and Response java class is created by importing the WSDL file.
    The Client Java Class is created to access the Request and Response objects.
    After this Main class is created and I have run the application to execute the Client Java Class. During this time its shows some error.
    The Error Message are:

    I want to deploy a web service with the Deploy Tool (J2EE 1.4).

    I have the following error when I'm trying to deploy:

    Other question: when I create the WAR file, I have to add : my interface class, my implementation class, my others java classes, my WSDL file and my mapping.xml file.
    Should I add the .jar that is used by one of my class???? I think yes, but...

  • Regarding RESTful WEB SERVICES with SPRING MVC Framework

    Hi,
    Can anyone explain me about RESTful WEB SERVICES with SPRING MVC Framework .
    It is urgent for me.
    Thanks
    Venkat Jalli

    Hi Manoj,
    I am also new to Spring MVC portlet. But, I tried to see the difference between sample spring portlet and your code below. Issue that I can see is, in your code, you have not mapped your servlet container with portlet application. So, in theory, your servlet containder do not know that you have a servlet. Let me try to explain from sample portlet,
    In portlet.xml, they have something like below:-
    <portlet-name>swf-booking-mvc</portlet-name>
    <display-name>Spring Webflow Booking MVC</display-name>
    <portlet-class>org.springframework.web.portlet.DispatcherPortlet</portlet-class>
    And in web.xml, they have below:-
    <servlet-name>swf-booking-mvc</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>org.apache.pluto.core.PortletServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>portlet-name</param-name>
    <param-value>swf-booking-mvc</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    This web.xml is for Pluto portlet container and there will something similar for Weblogic portal as well that I am trying to figure out :(
    Thanks,
    Sanjeev

  • Issue with OSI PI WCF Web Service with wshttpbinding

    Hi Experts,
    System Details:
    SAP MII 14 SP4
    OSI PI Web Service: PITimeSeries
    I am having issue when trying to call OSI PI web service using http post. it is returning status 0 when i am using exception handler in BLS.
    Same web service works fine with basichttpbinding (SOAP 1.1)  but with wshttpbinding (SOAP 1.2) it is giving error.
    Following are Web config binding details for web service.
          <wsHttpBinding>
            <binding name="wsBinding_2011" sendTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" transactionFlow="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard" maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="65536" messageEncoding="Text" textEncoding="utf-8" useDefaultWebProxy="true" allowCookies="false">
              <reliableSession ordered="true" inactivityTimeout="00:10:00" enabled="false" />
              <security mode="Message">
                <message clientCredentialType="Windows" negotiateServiceCredential="true" algorithmSuite="Default" establishSecurityContext="true" />
              </security>
            </binding>
          </wsHttpBinding>
    I am not sure it could be the issue with passing windows credentials.
    Did anybody consumed WCF web service with wshttpbinding with security mode as Message and clientCredentialType as Windows.
    Also i was trying to pass MYSAPSSO2 SSO token to service in http post but first i am not sure if this is correct windows token and second which header property of service should be mapped and i am not sure that I am going into correct direction or not.
    Please let me know what i am missing.
    I have tried following other options and tools:
    SOAP UI: basichttpbinding works fine for wshttpbinding receiving Internal Server error in log and Response as
                      The security context token is expired or is not valid.
    MII Web Service Action Block: basichttpbinding works fine for wshttpbinding not able to configure url through wizard because as per                                                                              my discussion with other MII experts MII does not support SOAP1.2. that is one reason for using http post.
    WCF Storm: both bindings works fine (There is option to select windows authentication and Impersonation level as delegation)
    WCF Test Client: Both bindings works fine
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Manoj Bilthare

    Hi Sam,
    The web service is valid following are details of testing on various tools.
