Web URL application in Dynamic Navigation

Hello all,
in the dynamic navigation window I run an URL iview with HTML application with javascript.
I receive in the dynamic navigation window an EPCF event with EPCMPROXY calls.
After I receive the event I would like to navigate within the dynamic navigation iview to another page of the HTML application. When I use web URLs and form.submit of course the EPCF framework is not loaded with the HTML page and I cannot react to events anymore. Is there at all any solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance
Peter Balaz

Yes, there is a problem with ur MDS.
The command window for MDS should stay.
I had jdk compatibility issue, so thats why I suggested to check on jdk.
I'm not sure what version will be compatibile with MDS 4.1.4.
check the prereuisites.

  • Web Dynpro Application URL Host Name Not Correct

    Hello,
I am developing a web dynpro application in our development system but when I activate the application it gets a URL that points to our test system.  When I test the application in HTTP Service (SICF) the URL for the development system is passed to the browser.  WHere do you maintain the host that is being used to build the URL for the web dynpro application when it is activated.
    Thanks,

  • Wrong URL in Web Dynpro Application explorer

    Dear Team,
The Web Dynpro Application explorer is showing wrong URL:
    URL             HTTP://server2.domainname.COM:1090/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz_pt_hello
And this is not a correct URL.
Where as the actual URL should be :
    https://server1.domainname.com:8030/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz_pt_hello
But when I test the service,  /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz_pt_hello,  in sicf t-code, the test works successfully with the desired URL i.e. https://server1.domainname.com:8030/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz_pt_hello.
the profile parameter: icm/host_name_full   has value server1.domainname.com.
Please guide me to resolve this problem.
    regards

    Hi,
The hostname for the application server is checked by the following parameters in this order. Can you please verify that the SAPLOCALHOSTFULL is the correct hostname.
    (1) SAPLOCALHOSTFULL
    (2) icm/host_name_full
If both of these are correct can you check the Hosts file in the /etc/hosts folder for the correct entry.

  • Navigation Error in Web Dynpro Application

    Hi All,
I developed a web dynpro application with 2 views.
I implemented the navigation paths(in and outbound plugs). I have a Next button in the first view and when
I clicked the next button it opened the second view.
It was working fine until, i created custom controller
and defined model node and model binding by calling RFC.
In the first view, i created a model node corresponding to the custom controller model  node and defined the context mapping between the first view and the custom controller.
When I run the application (the first view displays data calling RFC) once I clicked the next button i got this error message.

    Hi
Are you having any inputfields in your next view?If yes then check if you have bound the context attribute to it.
I think you haven't done that.

  • Dynamic navigation, on HCM Process and Forms "Web Dynpro FORM"

    Hi,
I'm trying to solve an issue regarding dynamic navigation, on a enhacement done at the Web Dynpro ABAP QISR_UI component for HCM Process and Forms.
I'm hiding the Adobe Form, and doing "do_dynamic_navigation" for a dynamic generated view container present at the VIEWSHOWFORM on the QISR_UI component.
The code works great, i.e.: the Adobe Form remains hidden and the custom form, using Web Dynpro appears.
I'm also using the HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE_1 component to execute a Portal IView (Floorplan based component).
When the process is started, and the folowing actions are executed:
    1- Select Employee
    2- Select Process
    3- Edit form
4- Press back (for example if the wrong process is selected)
    5- Select the Process
    6- Edit form again
There is a NULL exception, the "embedding_vca" (below) is NULL

    Hello,
Basically what I did was replacing the Adobe Form, by a Web Dynpro component that contains its own form, and associated logic.
Tecnically the steps to acomplish the task were:
1º Development of a component for showing a form. ( I suggest you to start with just a "hello world" or something very basic )
2º Enhance the QISR_UI component (VIEWSHOWFORM view, on the modify view method), something like
if form scenario = XXXXX then
    hide the adobe form;
create a custom view container (the problem I had above), and create an instance of the component created on step 1
    end if
3º Access the context that the original form returns (you can check the context debugging the VIEWSHORFORM view )
4º Pass the context to the component created..
I can't provide further details on this, I'm sorry...
I do not suggest doing this, this was a requirement so I had to do it... But this requires a lot of workarrounds, and lots of small changes in standard code related with process and forms... It's not, also, a "clean" solution

  • Get HTTPS URL for Web dynpro application

We are using SSL. By default the URL generated for the Web dynpro application is HTTP.
We went to SICF, and deactivated the HTTP service. That made the URL point to HTTPS.
But few problems started coming because of it:
    - Our Content server became inaccessible.
    - Every time server is re-started, we need to manually go and de-activate HTTP Service.
We even tried to set the parameter icm/icm/HTTP/redirect_0. But problem is not solved.
I know this question is asked before, but every time the answer is to read the help document on ICM.
What's the correct way for any webdynpro application to point to HTTPS? I don't think de-activating HTTP service is the right way.
    Any suggestions please?
    Thanks in adv.

Thanks a lot Thomas. I'd ask the Portal Admin to try it out.
There is another similar problem we are facing: I have embedded Webdynpro in R/3 screen. Then used the cl_gui_wdr_viewer class's load_application method passing HTTPS protocol.
It returns HTTPS URL only, but is not showing up on users' laptops.
Earlier we were not passing HTTPS protocol, so generated URL was HTTP, and it was not showing on users' screen (can show in ours). Reason we found out is that users' site has HTTP port blocked. They cannot show any HTTP url.
So we changed to get HTTPS URL, but that also gives the same problem. It is still trying to get HTTP url.
Here is the URL that the users got: (when they right click to see the URL generated)
    res://ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_webOC.htm#http://abc.def.jil:8000/sap/public/myssocntl?sap-client=220
Can give any clues on why this is going wrong? Cannot raise OSS as I know embedding Webdynpro in R/3 is not supported
    Thanks in adv.

  • Navigate from Web Dynpro application to an iView URL using parameters

    Hi all,
I have a problem navigating from a Wed Dynpro application to an iView URL. For the navigation, I use the WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute() method. The navigation works fine, unfortunately any parameter that I pass to the iView URL is ignored.
Here is the code I use:
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
    "ROLES://portal_content/rack_visualization/RackView",
    WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,
    "space=1&style=3&rack=none");
The RackView iView is based on the "iView URL" template. I expect that the navigation points to a URL like my_encapsulated_url?space=1&style=3&rack=none. Unfortunately the parameter passing doesn't seem to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Christophe

did u get this working ???
I have a similar issue with the url iview.

    Hi John,
How have you added the required jar files. For DC projects you cannot use project properties and add the jar files to the build path (In case you have followed this method).
You will have to add the public part (i believe it is ejbclient.jar and is generated automatically when you create an EJB DC) of the EJB DC as used dc.

  • Replacing web dynpro application URL

    Hi Experts,
I have created a web dynpro application with 2 views. view 1 has a button when I click on it it opens view2 in "external window". To do this I am getting absolute URL using cl_wd_utilities=>construct_wd_url and pass this URL into lr_window_manager->create_external_window and everything works great. Now, I integrated my web dynpro into MSS portal iview. When I click the button on view1 it tries to go to different URL (We have single sign on ) instead of actual URL which is "HTTP://<host>.<domain>.<extension>.<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/mycomponent". In portal the section "HTTP://<host>.<domain>.<extension>.<port>/" is getting replaced by "https://dev.xxxxx.com" and due to this a blank page opens up because this URL is not found.
Is there any way I can get actual URL of web dynpro application? I have done plenty of reserach but could not resolve this. Please let me know if anyone has any information.
    Thanks.

I am not Sure what is going wrong here . How can it be different url ? You may have to check THE sso configuration and the system defintion in the portal. How ever you cannot see the actual url in THE portal url.
Is That Correct That your wda application with view1 is loding correctly but THE opening external window is not going good? In that case you can try to change THE generated url from cl_wd_utilities=>construct_wd_url  to https protocol.

Our idea was to have a KM-document iView  in the "dynamic navigation" of page1 with a link to page2.
that works fine. but page2 is not opened in the whole window but in the dynamic-navigation-frame.
    the link looks the following:
    <A HREF="http://xxxxxxxx.xxx:1235/irj/portal/index.htm?navigationtarget=roles://portal_content/folder/role/workset/page/">
Its obvious that the link is opened in the same frame because no target property is added to the href.
I thought about adding a the "target" property to the  href, but I don't know how the Frame is named.
    I have tried this:
    <A HREF="http://xxxxxxxx.xxx:1235/irj/portal/index.htm?navigationtarget=roles://portal_content/folder/role/workset/page/" target="MainFrame">
    but it didn't work.
Does anybody know how the MainFrame in the portal is named or has any other solution to my problem.
    Regards, Alex

    kind of simple
user target="_top" to have the page displayed in the whole window.

  • Dynamically build URLS  for dynamic navigation

hello all, I am trying to develop dynamic navigation for pl/sql portlets in oracle portal 10g. When admins place the portlets i develop on pages or tabs, etc, i would like to be able to query the database for there location(what page or tab its assigned to) dynamically so i can build links that would allow linking from portlet to portlet no matter where the admin placed them in the Portal. So my question is, what table or tables list the page_id or tab_id for portlets when they are added to a region on page or tab???

The Content Area Views describe the information that you can access from PL/SQL.
